Patch Xiao Long/Rose residence
"Come on Yang, it's time to get up." Raven shouted through the door. "You want me to train you then I need you to eat breakfast and get your but down stairs."
"Coming." Yang said, getting out of bed.
Once Yang got down stairs she saw Ruby and Emerald at the table eating pancakes.
"Hey Yang." Ruby said, waving her fork.
"Ruby, please don't talk with your mouth full." Tai said, putting another plate of pancakes down. "Yang come eat." Yang looked around the room looking for something. "She's outside Yang. Raven didn't feel like eating at the moment."
"Oh, okay." Yang said, walking over to the table.
Tai looked out to see Raven standing on the porch then back at the kids.
"I'll be right back, no one leaves the house." Tai said walking to the front door.
"Don't Tai, you and I both know why I'm not trying to get close at the moment." Raven said without looking at who came outside. "Summer was a good mother and she's the one they need, not me."
"Yang." Tai started.
"We'll still have me, but you know I can't be what Ruby needs." Raven interrupted. "And you know how she looks at us. Ruby is afraid I'll take Summers' place, while Yang is hoping we'll reconnect again." Raveen looked down at the ground. "We separated for a reason, Tai. It was nice when we were young but we were just too similar at times and our fights were to the point Summer & Qrow had to intervene." Raven turned towards Tai. "That's not a good environment for a child to grow up in, plus you & I both know Summer is the only one in your heart."
Tai sighs while leaning over the railing knowing Raven was right on both accounts, he loved Summer more than anything and when he looked at Raven he just didn't feel like that, grateful for giving him Yang but not love for coming back to them.
"I'll talk to Yang." Tai said, rubbing his head.
"No, I think it's best if I do it." Raven said. "You mind getting her for me."
Tai nodded his head then walked back inside. Yang soon came out and Raven took a seat on the steps. Yang soon sat next to her. "Yang you know I love you right."
"You and Dad both tell me that." Yang said with a bit of joy.
"Yang, you know Summer will be back right." Raven said.
Yang looked at the ground and said, "Your leaving aren't you."
"What, no, no, no Sweaty." Raven quickly said. "I just want you to understand something."
"Which is?" Yang questioned looking at Raven.
"Me & Tai love you more than anything," Raven explained. "But we don't feel the same way about each other. If you need us, we'll be there for you. But we will not be getting back together."
Yang sniffled a little then said, "So if I want the both of you at Parents Day."
"Then we'll be there for you." Raven said, pulling Yang close. "And I'll try to be there for Ruby, but I want Summer to have a place to come back to when she returns."
"Okay Mom I understand." Yang said, hugging Raven.
"Now with that out of the way." Raven said, getting up. "Come on, let's get inside and eat." Raven then felt that one of her bonds was weakening. "Oh no."
Just then Tai came out of the house with his scroll.
"Raven, you need to get to Qrow, they don't have enough blood for him." Tai explained as he handed her Oni.
"Qrow what the hell did you get yourself into." Raven said, taking the sword from Tai. "I swear Yang I'll be back before you know it." Ravn took out her sword then swung it creating a red portal in the front yard.
"Oh, right Ruby said that Emerald was going to be turned into a sex-slave by the guy you saved her from. What's a sex slave?" Yang questioned. "Cause Ruby said it's a terrible job to have."
"RAVEN!" Tai yelled.
"Yang, I'll tell you when I get back." Raven said, walking through the portal.
"Okay, bye mom." Yang said, waving goodbye. "I love you."
The portal then closed leaving Yang and Tai alone outside as Yang looked at Tai wondering if she did something wrong by asking that question.
