That same afternoon, Veronica, along with her two best friends (and bridesmaids) Emily Cooper and Mindy Chen, began tasting the cakes. As they savored each bite, Veronica realized she needed more opinions.

"We should have everyone here," Veronica said suddenly. "Archie, Betty, Tabitha, Olivia, and Betty's mom Alice. They all need to be part of this wedding cake tasting."

Emily and Mindy exchanged glances and nodded in agreement. "That's a great idea," Emily said.

"Yeah, the more, the merrier," Mindy added.

Veronica quickly sent out texts to everyone, inviting them over for the tasting. They didn't have to wait long before everyone started arriving. Archie walked in first, followed by Betty, Tabitha, Olivia, and finally Alice.

Archie eyed the box on the island table. "What's in the box?" he asked.

Veronica smiled. "The wedding cake samples from Sweet Sensations."

Everyone reacted with interest, gathering around the table. Alice asked, "What flavors do we have?"

Veronica answered, "We have ten samples: Vanilla Bean, Chocolate Ganache, Lemon Raspberry, Red Velvet, Salted Caramel, Coconut Cream, Hazelnut Praline, Strawberry Champagne, Pistachio Rose, and Espresso Delight."

Olivia's eyes lit up. "Ooh, Strawberry Champagne sounds intriguing."

Veronica began opening the box, revealing the beautifully decorated mini cakes. They started with the Vanilla Bean flavor. As they tasted it, everyone was blown away.

"This is incredible," Betty commented, savoring the bite.

Next, they moved on to the Chocolate Ganache. The rich flavor left everyone speechless.

Archie was the first to comment. "This is amazing. What's in the filling?"

Veronica smiled. "Dark chocolate mousse and a hint of espresso."

They moved on to the third flavor, Lemon Raspberry. As Alice tried it, Veronica couldn't help but roll her eyes, implying her disapproval of the flavor.

Alice noticed and asked, "Why did you roll your eyes, Veronica?"

Veronica, showing her irritation, replied, "I just don't think the lemon raspberry is suitable for a wedding cake. Can we move on to the fourth flavor, please?"

Alice frowned. "Veronica, lighten up. We're all here to help you."

Veronica clapped back, "Just taste the fourth flavor."

Betty, sensing the tension, tried to calm her down. "Veronica, it's okay. Let's just continue."

Veronica snapped, "I'm sorry, Betty, but I want this to be perfect."

Alice had had enough. She took the box and dumped it in the trash can, making everyone gasp.

"Mom, what are you doing?" Betty exclaimed.

Alice turned to Veronica. "Stop acting like a drama queen."

Alice headed out of the apartment, but Veronica, fuming, followed her. "You had no right to do that!" she yelled. "Who are you to call me a drama queen?"

Alice turned to face her. "I'm just trying to help, but you're making it impossible."

The argument escalated, with Veronica and Alice yelling at each other. Betty, Archie, and the rest rushed out to break up the fight.

"Veronica, stop!" Betty pleaded, trying to pull her back.

Archie stepped between them. "Enough! This isn't helping anyone."

Veronica, tears streaming down her face, turned to Archie. "She's ruining everything!"

Alice, equally emotional, retorted, "You need to learn to handle stress better, Veronica."

Betty managed to get them to calm down. "We all want this wedding to be perfect. Let's just take a step back and breathe."

Veronica nodded, wiping her tears. "Fine. But she needs to understand how important this is to me."

Alice sighed. "I do, Veronica. I just don't want you to lose sight of what matters."

Everyone returned to the apartment, the atmosphere tense but calmer. Veronica looked around at her friends and family, realizing that while things might not always go smoothly, she had a support system to help her through it.

"Let's try this again," Veronica said softly. "Together."

And with that, they resumed the cake tasting, determined to make the best of the situation and find the perfect cake for Veronica and Archie's wedding.
