The next day, Veronica, along with her two best friends and bridesmaids, Emily Cooper and Mindy Chen, headed to Bridal Bliss. Tabitha Tate had recently mentioned it as a great place, so they were excited to check it out. As they arrived, they happily saw the rest of Veronica's bridal party already there: Betty Cooper, Tabitha Tate, and Olivia Baker. Archie's groomsmen, Jughead Jones, Reggie Mantle, Kevin Keller, John B. Routledge, and Spencer James, were also present. Additionally, some of their other friends, Cheryl Blossom, Toni Topaz, Moose Mason, Fangs Fogarty, and Josie McCoy, were mingling.
Veronica spotted Josie and immediately went over to her. "Josie! How have you been? What's new in your life?"
Josie smiled. "I've been great, Veronica. Busy with music as always. Josie and the Pussycats are planning a new tour."
Everyone reacted with excitement. John B., unfamiliar with the band, asked, "Who are Josie and the Pussycats, and what genre of music do you play?"
Josie laughed. "We're a pop-rock band, and we mix in a bit of soul and funk."
John B. nodded. "Sounds interesting. I might have to check out your music."
Cheryl, always direct, asked, "Where's Archie, Veronica?"
Veronica's face fell into a worried expression. She quickly called Archie. "Where are you?" she asked, anxiety in her voice.
"Stuck in traffic," Archie replied.
Veronica frowned. "Archie, Riverdale doesn't have traffic. It's a small town. Where are you really?"
Archie sighed. "I'll be there in 10 minutes, I promise."
Veronica hung up, slightly reassured but still anxious. She turned to the group. "I can't wait for the dress fitting."
Everyone shared in her excitement, encouraging her. Later, as they all waited, Veronica finally emerged from the fitting room in her new wedding dress. The room fell silent for a moment before one of her bridesmaids gasped in admiration.
Veronica's eyes welled up with tears. "I never thought I could look this pretty," she said, gazing at her reflection.
Olivia smiled. "You look stunning, Veronica."
Veronica nodded, her voice trembling. "I've waited my entire life for this. I've never even tried on a wedding dress before. This is my first time."
The group applauded, and Cheryl stepped forward to comfort her. "You deserve this, Veronica."
Suddenly, John B.'s phone rang. It was Archie. "How's Veronica doing with the dress fitting?" he asked.
John B. replied, "We're all here watching her. She's in love with the dress."
Archie hesitated. "How much is the dress going to cost?"
John B. looked around, asking the group if anyone knew the price. Cheryl shrugged. "We should find out."
John B. returned to the call. "Archie, we're not sure about the cost yet."
Veronica, eavesdropping from the fitting room, interjected. "I can hear you! This is my wedding! Do you love me or not?"
John B. sighed. "Veronica's already having a meltdown."
Veronica continued, her voice rising. "Do you want to marry me or not? I love this dress!"
Archie, flustered, replied, "Everyone can love a dress until they see the price."
John B. quietly muttered to Archie, "Shut up, man. Veronica's freaking out."
Veronica opened the curtain, her face red with anger. "Archie, don't you ever hang up on me!"
The room fell silent, everyone watching the drama unfold. Archie, realizing the gravity of the situation, softened his tone. "Veronica, I love you. I'm sorry. We'll figure this out together."
Veronica took a deep breath, trying to calm down. "This is our wedding day. I want everything to be perfect."
Archie nodded, even though she couldn't see him. "I understand. Let's make it perfect together."
Veronica closed her eyes, feeling the love and support from everyone around her. She knew they would overcome any hurdle together.
