Finishing our food I toss the money down before walking out with Henry heading for town square "if you remember me why did you think I was a different kid?"

Glancing at him I frown "kid, I'd just woke up from a coma my mind wasn't understanding everything, I thought you were a new sibling and that she didn't tell me or that she got you while I was out".

"Why did you act like you didn't want to come?"

"I left after being called as a Slayer, I didn't want to risk accidentally breaking the curse and it's good I did because I learned if there's a curse I would do it on accident"

"But that doesn't explain why you didn't want to come"

"Look I was in the middle of revenge, you telling me the curse broke was shocking and I didn't want to believe it"

"But you knew about it?" He asks.

"Yes, when I was called she told me everything"

"She always lied about it to me" he mutters.

"She didn't lie" I sigh stopping him making him look at me.

Seeing him go to argue I cover his mouth "when she learned who your birth mom is she was going to send you back, the entire time you would scream and cry never calming with her, while there she was holding you and you finally stopped and smiled at her, she changed her mind but was constantly worried, she took a potion to block the memories of the curse and your birth mom".

Seeing him slump I uncover his mouth "she couldn't be honest with you because she didn't know, she did that because she wanted to give you a good life without her fear clouding her judgement" I add.

"How do you know that?"

"We met in Boston while you was asleep she admitted her plan to me, I didn't get to meet you because I had an ancient vampire after me I didn't want to risk him learning about you two, so we met in the day and for just a moment before I left"

Sitting down out of sight Henry sits by me picking some grass and ripping it "you shouldn't have ran away to find me, you don't know how much danger you put yourself in" I add sighing.

"I went to Boston on my own" he says sounding offended.

"Vampires could have grabbed you at any point, there are humans who worship demons and could have offered you to them, then sick fucks who abuse children, and cops have orders to shoot me on sight in Sunnydale"

Seeing him flinch at my list I look at the square watching the guard rotations "I took busses to reach you".

"There was no guarantee that I was still there"

"I knew you were I could feel it"

Scoffing I shake my head seeing the blonde looking around "so that's your birth mom" I mutter.

"Yeah"

"She doesn't look like David or Snow either" I add tilting my head.

A few hours later

Placing my jacket over Henry I ease him down to the ground before walking forward to the square, passing the sleeping guard I walk to Mom's cage "hey Mom" I whisper.

"Faith, what are you doing here?" she asks moving closer.

"Henry" I mutter.

"He didn't" she hisses pinching the bridge of her nose.

"All the way to Sunnydale, he found me in the middle of a fight while cops were coming"

"What happened?" She asks.

"You know me, I find trouble and piss off people all the time but I had to change my plans, couldn't risk his safety just to fight more or allow the cops to get closer, I'm on a shoot on sight list"

"Why?"

"Helped Mayor Wilkins try to take over the world, killed some people, and nearly got sacrificed to save a vampire boyfriend" I answer shrugging.

"Where's Henry?" She asks as the blonde does.

"With me, he's asleep right now"

"Take him and leave, get far away" Mom say desperately.

Ignoring her request I smile "I stole a car to come back with him and robbed a watcher to get weapons, Henry had to go to my old apartment and get my stuff, he said the cops still had it taped up".

"Faith" Mom warns glaring at me.

"I'm currently driving your car around"

"You need to listen" she hisses.

"Oh, I dislocated David's should, renamed Grumpy to Pissy, and I made sure while at Granny's Henry ate a real meal instead of junk, apparently Snow and David never even noticed Henry left"

Seeing both look at me shocked I shrug "I had to make them back off because they tried to force him to leave with them even after he told them he wanted to stay with me".

"Faith take him and run" Mom says again.

Hearing the guard groaning I wave rushing off and back around to Henry, sitting back down I lean back against a tree watching the guard walk around checking everything out.

As he pass the cage I clench my fist seeing him taunting Mom as Emma glares at him before shooting forward trying to grab him.

He turns coming back to his seats and I look at his face memorizing it for later, Henry raises up looking around looking panicked before seeing me, he then moves back to me laying his head on my lap "I thought you left" he mutters.

Humming I put my hand on his shoulder "no, I'm right here, I'll free them and then we can go from there".
