Henry pov
Holding onto Mom as the crowd leaves I press my face to her side as she holds me close "everything's okay my Prince" she says carding her fingers through my hair.
Hearing Ma scream I tighten my hold "damn it that fucking hurt" she shouts.
"Stay here" she whispers leading me to her bed before leaving.
Ma shouts again so I sneak out heading downstairs seeing her on the floor "suck it up" Faith says before breaking a piece of the arrow shaft off.
I watch shocked as she pulls it out "missed the bone and I think it missed the vain".
Mom comes over with jars and water, I watch as she makes a paste after cleaning her arm before covering it then wrapping it "this will help with the pain and help it heal" Mom says.
"Great" Ma mutters huffing.
"Are you okay?" I ask.
"Henry I told you stay in my room" Mom says.
"I'm fine" Ma says as Faith says "she's fine".
"Mom, Snow's been running the town from your office" I mutter nervously.
"Of course she has" she mutters.
2 weeks later
Standing by Ma I watch as Faith takes the wrap off checking her arm "oh fuck, that's gross" Ma mutters looking at it.
Faith smirks checking the hole "no infection and it's trying to heal" she says.
"How'd you learn this stuff?" I ask sitting by Ma.
"Part of the Slayer lessons, survival medical training I could give someone a few rough surgeries if needed"
"That's so cool can you teach me" I say.
"Eventually" she says getting up tossing the wrap in the trash "let it breathe but don't mess with it" Faith orders slapping Ma's hand when she goes to touch it.
Ma frowns shaking her hand "not so hard".
Faith scoffs walking out, turning to Ma I smile at her "she likes you" I say.
"I'd hate to see her bedside manners if she hates me" Ma mutters.
Smiling I hug her "you and Regina have been spending time together again I noticed".
Nodding I look up at her "we have, we had a really long talk and we're trying".
"She's a good mom Henry, lots of foster kids would love to have her, so no more hating her for something you were never involved in"
"That's what Faith said, she did say if I didn't stop she'd kick my butt"
"I doubt she'd ever hurt you but I agree you needed to stop how you were treating her"
"No she'd let a vampire do it again"
"She let a vampire attack you?"
"Kinda, now that I think about it she wasn't very far from us and when he pinned me the first time, she yanked him off and kept talking about me running off like I did to find you both"
"Did you know about vampires and demons before meeting her?" I ask suddenly.
"Not exactly, I know I had a foster sister who was killed, three days later she found me on the streets at night and some guy showed up staking her"
"So you knew?"
"It wasn't really explained or confirmed but I figured it out"
