A few days later Faith pov
Standing at the register I swipe Mom's card before pushing my buggy out to the car, half way across the parking lot I hear heels clicking rapidly before a hand grabs the buggy "Faith".
I raise my brow looking at Cordelia "what?" I ask pushing past her to the car to start loading everything.
"You need to come back with me"
"No, I need to get this food home to my Mom and brother" I grit out "you need to go back".
"Faith, you killed someone, that can't be ignored" she says bluntly.
Walking closer to her after I finish, I pin her to the car and reach out sliding my hand along
her hip towards her pocket "Poor Cordy" I coo "let's see if we can puzzle this out, I'm someone with supernatural strength and speed that's already killed multiple people, who should be sent to retrieve me?" I ask pulling her phone out.
"A fellow slayer? No that's to safe, a vampire with a soul? No I bet Buffy ordered him not to, oh I know, let's send Cordelia it's not like she was ever important to anyone there, what could possibly go wrong with a regular human against me" I add stepping back.
Hearing someone jogging up I easily recognize the playful stride before Emma comes up with her badge on her hip.
"Everything okay here?" She asks.
"Fine just a little disagreement" I grit out.
"Officer, this girl's wanted for murder in California" Cordelia says quickly after spotting the badge while holding out an a wanted poster.
"You really shouldn't have done that" I hiss stepping back.
Standing straight I feel Emma grab me cuffing my hands "just trust me I have a plan" she whispers while patting me down.
"I'm not fighting but I need to get this food home to my mother and brother" I say glaring at Cordelia.
"Ma'am, I'll need you to come to the station with us"
A while later
Standing outside the cell door I cross my arms as Emma glares at Cordelia "you realize it's illegal to make a false report? the fact you forged this with an actual police stamp is a crime" Emma says waving the paper around before slamming it on the desk.
Looking at her I raise my brow at her pale look "I didn't, she did something to remove the record, her mayor friend did it maybe" she says frantically.
Hearing heels clicking at a steady brisk pace I lean against the cell as Mom comes it "Sheriff Swan, you will explain to me why I was told my daughter was arrested" she demands coming in.
"Ms. Mills" Emma says calmly while holding out the poster.
Mom snatches it from her looking it over "I already checked, it's false" she adds before Mom can say anything.
"You better do your job" Mom orders grabbing my arm pulling me out "Ruby drove my car home so the food is put up" she adds.
I nod "how exactly did my warrant disappear?" I whisper so Cordelia doesn't hear.
"I made a few calls to some of Wilkins connections that still owed him favors pulled a few strings and he had some that are loyal even now"
Nodding I put my arm around her hugging her "thank you Mom".
"It was your dad's work I just reminded them" she says.
Getting outside I pull the phone I stole from Cordelia, after a few tries I get it open and quickly change the password.
"Where did you get that?"
"Cordy" I answer while checking the contacts "he sent her" I say pulling up Angel's information.
Mom grabs it calling him, after a moment I raise my brow hearing her queen voice "I'm trying to reach someone connected to Cordelia Chase.. I see, well she's been arrested for forgery and false police reports, I'll let you contact who needs to be told".
Mom hangs up and I laugh as she hands it back.
Emma pov
Getting this chick in the cell I move back to my desk putting my feet on it and grab my darts, tossing one and chuckle seeing it hit the cartoon drawing of Snow White.
"Shit town you have here" she snarks.
Humming I nod "this side is, the other side of town is beautiful".
"Poor side" she snarks.
"Is now, Mary Margaret and David took over and ran it into the ground, Mills runs the other side and it's still well cared for and the people happy"
"What like gang territory?"
"Sometime like that, see Regina was Mayor and the entire town was beautiful, peaceful, jobs plentiful, and the people taken care of, Mary Margaret forced her out and took over, she ran it into the ground, then you have Mills side that's in good hands"
Hearing her scoff I chuckle tossing another "so you think Faith's evil?" I say casually.
"She killed people"
"True, the first was an accident that Buffy pushed to her while in the middle of a fight with a group of vampires, the next she had to convince herself she had to but didn't want to"
Getting up I open her cell and pin her, cuffing her hands behind her back then I lead her out, reaching the Square I motion to the cages.
"When Mary Margaret took over she locked Faith's Mom and I in those for a month, hardly any shelter from the weather or sun"
Pushing her forward I put her in closing the door without locking it "look around, that little cup was our week of water, that bowl was filled once every two days, an entire month like this day and night with guards who would taunt us make inappropriate comments and threaten us, the towns people would gather to watch our punishments my first punishment was being whipped while watching guards beat her, my crime was trying to free Mills from this".
Looking at her I shrug "our night guard started getting bolder with more actions then threats so Faith killed him while freeing us, then the town formed a mob and stormed Mills House trying to get us, Mary Margaret tried shooting Faith with a bow an arrow and got me because I protected her, she charged them and beat two people, their still in the hospital but the town backed off for a bit"
