Next day Henry pov
Sitting at the table with my books I watch Grandma muttering to herself while messing with the stove "okay, it's on the H" she says looking back at me.
"Did you fill the pot?" I ask.
She lift it and nods "ok place it on the swirl".
She places it and smiles before coming back to the chair sitting across from "now I just wait for it to whistle".
Nodding I tap my pencil on the table looking at her "where you always Nobility?" I ask.
"No, I was a Miller's daughter and worked two jobs"
"How did you become Nobility?"
"I married a prince who'd never gain the throne, to get his father to agree I had to prove I could spin straw into Gold"
Frowning I look at her "why?"
"I claimed I could, that's how I first learned magic"
Nodding I go to speak before seeing Cordy come in yawning "did anyone else hear that wolf howling in the back yard?"
Freezing I look at her "no" I say shaking my head quickly.
She frowns looking at me "you're lying".
"No" I say again.
"Henry" she says with a warning in her voice.
"I'm not allowed to say" I add.
"Why not?"
"It's not my secret to tell, no one's in danger so I have to keep this, I won't break someone's trust"
She sighs nodding and gets a cup of coffee "alright" she mutters.
"Tea" Grandma says happily when the pot whistles.
Shaking my head I open my books to start on my school work till I hear the door open, Faith comes to the kitchen shivering with ice on her.
"I'm starting to hate that bitch" she says.
"Again?" Cordy asks as Faith sits by me.
Turning I reach out poking her hair feeling it's completely solid and ice cold as Cordy slides a cup of coffee to her.
"She was creeping around the house again"
"What did she do?" I ask.
"Trapped me in a giant pile of snow, took forever to dig out" she mutters.
"Your hair's frozen" I say smirking.
"I thought it was on fire" she snarks rolling her eyes.
Smiling I go back to my work "Holy shit where'd that snow come from" Ma yells from upstairs.
"Faith and the mystery ice woman" Cordy calls back.
A few moments later I hear Ma's feet pounding the stairs before the front do opens "Henry Faith come help" she calls.
Faith pov
Seeing Henry take off I shake my head smiling slightly before looking at Cora narrowing my eyes "Cordy leave" I say calmly.
"Faith, your mom..." She starts but stops when I glare at her "fine, I'll go watch the children" she adds taking her cup.
Hearing the door close I stand up circling around the table "you're heart means nothing Cora, you took it out willingly I'm sure you knew exactly what it would do, forced my Mom to marry a man old enough to be her father who you at one point tried to marry after killing the man she loved, now Mom wants to believe that you could be a decent mother and grandmother, but I do not make empty threats, if you do anything to hurt the people I love I'll burn you alive like the witch you are".
Hearing Mom's heels before she comes in I stay over Cora seeing her eyes widen looking at Mom "Faith, we have to give her a chance" Mom says while gently pulling me back.
Stepping back I cross my arms "just coming to an understanding Mom, you said it yourself she took her own heart out because she didn't want to be bothered with emotions".
"I know, but we all have to try" she says.
"And I am, she just needed to fully understand what I'm telling her"
"Why are you wet and cold?" Mom ask pulling her hand back before touching my face.
Raising my brow I look at her not speaking "go take a warm shower and change" she says after we stare at each other.
Heading for the stairs I stop and look at Cora putting a hand on my knife while smirking before turning and continuing on.
Regina pov
"She doesn't act like a lady" Mom says frowning.
"Think of her as the Dark kingdoms Champion, a knight who's completely loyal and ready to fight in the blink of an eye"
"You let her act like that?"
"She's my daughter but she's her own person Mother, I'm here ready to support her with any decisions she makes not control her" I grit out.
"A princess is expected to be a lady how will any man want her like that" she says frowning.
"She's a warrior mother, and men trip over themselves for her attention but she loves someone already" I snap sitting my cup down.
"This isn't the enchanted forest, women are not expected to let a man to make all the decisions, a woman has power and rights here" I add.
"I'm also selling things you got me as a child that hold horrible memories"
She looks at me wide eyed "what?"
"Those ivory and gold brushes and hair pin, and several dresses including some of your personal belongings"
"I bought those for you" she snaps.
"And I hate them or did you forget what that set was used for" I demand.
She frown looking confused "I accidentally spilled a drop of tea on my dress and you beat me with those while using your magic to choke me, I have scars on my thigh from the hair pin
imbedding in my leg" I hiss.
"I was trying to teach you how to be a proper lady"
"I was six" I snap.
"Regina" I hear Cordelia call.
"Yes dear?" I ask watching Mother.
"Mob coming" she says leading Henry in the kitchen with Emma.
