Faith pov a few hours later

I sigh watching Anya work with Mom, Emma, and Cora on magic they're having to use jewelry to tap into the magic in them, some how it works to convert what they want into the proper spells here easily.

Anya keeps glancing at me as I lay on my bed reading my book "Faith" she finally says coming over.

Humming I glance at her before turning the page "who are you trying to help?" She asks.

"An innocent" I answer.

"Who?"

"Anya, who I'm helping is a secret it can't be interfered with but if someone after vengeance" I start.

"I'm not standing in the way of revenge" she says cutting me off.

"So do you know when you have to save your innocent?" She asks.

"Unclear on date or time, just know she's here, Cordy will hopefully get more information before then so we can narrow down everything"

Anya reaches out taking my book making me frown at her "just to be clear Xander is mine, we are engaged so you and her will not try anything" she says calmly but with an edge in her voice.

"Anya, I'm going to say this as clearly as possible for you so there is no misunderstanding" I say trying to keep my voice calm.

"Xander cheated on Cordy with Willow, I took his virginity and he tried to use that as a way to manipulate me into taking the fall for Buffy, neither of us want him, we are perfectly happy without him and I know for a fact toys or my hands work better then any man because at least then I don't have to worry about not finishing or them being useless for more" I grit out.

Seeing her go to speak again with an offended look I jump up getting in her face "we do not want him so drop it" I snap.

Shoving past her I head out the door and down the street on foot, eventually I come to the demon bar and walk in climbing on the stool at the bar.

"Slayer"

Nodding I accept the bottle he opens in front of me, grabbing it I take a drink then turn looking over the few demons inside.

"Know anything about the three humans trying to make it big as villains?" I ask casually.

Hearing someone chuckle I glance at the guy by me "some losers that want to prove people wrong" he mutters.

"I met a seer that says they're about to be on a shit list that anyone helping them will die from"

Hearing him laughing loudly while smacking the counter I take a drink "what could those punks do to get that" he sneers mockingly.

Smirking I turn facing him while leaning forward "even demons and vamps know pissing a female off is a bad move".

Seeing his confusion turn to shock I smirk "a powerful witch they kill her lover, best to stay out of her way when it happens" I add casually while tossing money on the bar and getting up.

"Slayer"

Glancing back to the guy I raise my brow "how long?"

"Not sure yet, still watching to see, best bet is for everyone to keep their distance from them"

Walking out I side step the person coming in seeing a vampire that's vaguely familiar "Harmony right?" I ask.

She sneers looking at me "who wants to know?"

Chuckling I shake my head "Wow" I say like I'm excited "you look... dead" I finish ending with a blank deadpan voice.

Heading out I chuckle to myself after seeing her confused look "Cordy really did surround herself with airheads" I mutter.

Buffy pov

Sitting with Willow I frown feeling the slayer tingling I get when Faith's close, looking around I frown trying to find her "what's wrong Buffy?" Willow asks.

"Faith's here unless she died and it's a new Slayer that's found her way here" I say tensely trying to ignore the clinching in my chest at the thought of her dying.

"If it's Faith she's probably here checking on her properties or something"

Looking at Willow I frown at how calm she said that "she could be after me again".

"I don't think so, when you died she came down and left flowers at your grave, even offered to handle the hell mouth for us so we could focus on Dawn"

Frowning more I look at her confused "Willow this is Faith we're talking about".

"Yep, Tara ran into her while she was down last time said she was more focused on her brother and Cordy, she looks happy not just her I'm the slayer die vamps happy but really happy"

I nod looking at my smoothie frowning "so her and Cordy are really together and happy?"

"Well I didn't see anything to absolutely say yes, but I seen cheek kisses and hand holding, oh at one point Faith hand her arm around Cordy's waist and Cordy definitely grabbed her butt while grabbing her wallet from her pocket and made Faith smile"

Forcing a half smile I change the subject pushing down the tightness in my chest and stomach.

A while later

Heading home after Willow left with Tara I frown seeing Cordy fixing her shirt and skirt before hearing her tell someone to come on, frowning I see Faith come out of the graveyard fixing her shirt smirking before they kiss.

Faith pov

Catching Cordy as dhe tackles me I grunt keeping her against me "Cordy I know I'm sexy but this is a little bit to much for my attention".

She huffs sitting up on my waist "you left me to deal with Anya and her needing to making sure I knew Xander was taken, alone" she hisses.

"Poor Queen C, did the peasant annoy you" I tease before flipping us so she's under me.

Raising up I smirk leaning down to kiss her before feeling her knee connect with my stomach, groaning I roll off her holding it "no, you don't get to kiss me after that shit" she snaps getting up.

Seeing her fixing her outfit I work on catching my breath before hearing her order me to come on.

Getting up I follow her out while fixing my shirt and smirking at her "I'm sorry" I say pouting.

Her eyes cut to me and I see her smile slightly before she finally gives in and kisses me "you still owe me" she whispers pulling away.

Smiling I nod giving her another quick kiss "of course Cordy".
