Faith pov
Standing in the back of the alley near Granny's, I frown seeing Maleficent stood in front of Snow and Charming.
"Please you can't tell her then we'll never get to know her" Snow whines.
"You expect a fake apology to work? Does that return my daughters that you stole from me" I hear Maleficent hiss towering over Snow before scoffing and stalking off at Snow cradling her son to her.
Sneaking to the next building I chase after Maleficent, rounding the corner I step out smirking at her as she glares "where's my daughter?" She demands.
Humming I look at the watch Cordy got me for my birthday "probably eating twice her weight in bear claws and ice cream right now".
Seeing her confusion I shrug "she had a woman try to adopt her as a child but ran, they recently reconnected and that woman's eating up the chance to split her time between here and with her nieces".
"She was an orphan that no one could handle till this woman, she ran out of fear for a few reasons" I add seeing she looks angry.
"And how did you get your claws in her princess?" She hisses mockingly.
"Told you already Dragon, her son was adopted by my mom like me, he went and found her then needed to find me to help them both"
"You never said who your mother is, just that you're a princess" she says before taking a deep breath, I raise my brow seeing her eyes open flashing green "you smell like you're close to Regina" she growls.
"Emma probably smells more like her since she basically married her without mating or a ring, they shared True loves kiss"
Seeing her stiffen I hold up my finger looking to the side seeing Cordy chasing Nova "Cordy, you'll have more luck with Tinkerbell" I call.
She stops and looks at me spotting Maleficent before coming over putting her arms around my shoulders hugging me "unlike you, I don't like blondes".
Chuckling I shake my head seeing her step closer to Maleficent making her tense up completely "now I can tell everyone the entire story" she says smugly.
Nodding I look at Maleficent "let's go find Emma and we can handle that" I offer.
Cordy nods pulling her phone out sending a text "Tara will bring Regina and that psycho" she says linking her arm with Maleficent while grabbing my hand.
Following her to the ice cream shop we walk in and I jump the counter pulling the case open before making myself a cone.
Moving over I ring it up and swipe my card before following after Cordy to the back.
Stepping in I hear Emma groan and laugh seeing she's leaning on the table with a happy smile "she looks drunk" I comment.
Going to lick my ice cream I huff when Cordy grabs it from me and walks over to the table eating it "ice cream addict" I mutter.
Seeing Mom appear from her smoke with the rest I smile slightly feeling her pull me into a hug "Okay everyone listen" Cordy orders.
Hearing Mom chuckle but focus on her I pat Tara's back seeing she's nervous "Emma, Snow and Charming kidnapped Maleficent's daughter and used dark magic on her to place the potential for darkness you had, it's the very same that everyone is born with".
Frowning I see Emma take a breath looking at Cordy "What have you all been saying that even Gold agrees with?" She asks looking at Mom.
"All magic comes with a price" Tara stutters out.
"Yes, thank you Tara" Cordy says smiling "now Snow cursed this child, but by throwing her into a portal the cost shifted I don't know what it would've been originally, but by doing this magic took its price by taking you, the spell pulled almost all the darkness from you while it took nearly all the light from that child".
Frowning I think it over before laughing making everyone look at me with mixed looks "the magical signature from Maleficent's child is like DNA, it literally rewrote Emma's maternal DNA, Snow was nothing but a surrogate she's Charming's daughter by blood but Snow's now the evil stepmother".
Buffy pov
Sitting in my new office I sigh tapping my fingers on the desk, glancing at it I frown looking at the gift Dawn gave me before rushing off.
Pulling it open I raise my brows seeing a photo of Faith and I with Dawn between us while mom stands behind us smiling, if I remember correctly this was supposed to be just Faith and I with Mom.
At times I get hazy memories that don't have Dawn if I focus, that day we were sparring till Mom came up with groceries and called us to help, after we finished Mom gave us each a treat she bought and she got Faith apple turn overs.
She looked ready to cry looking at them and while eating them she looked disappointed, I assumed she was ungrateful for Mom getting them and almost said something.
Mom rubbed her back and told her she didn't know how to make them and they were what she could get for her, Faith just gave an uncomfortable smile and left.
The memory with Dawn, she followed her out after I muttered about her being ungrateful, Dawn snapped at me telling me to learn how to look outside my self centered ego.
Mom even looked disappointed with me in both memories.
Looking at the picture I tilt my head seeing I'm glaring at Faith, she smiles but it's her fake smile she did when upset and her eyes seem red and watery, I think I can even see slight tear stains on her face.
Dawn leans against her with her arm around Faith's shoulders sticking her tongue out.
"She looks sad" I mutter.
"What?"
Looking up I seen the new principal Robin Wood "oh just an old picture my sister gave me that an old friend was in with us".
He hums picking it up and looking at it "that girl looks like she's missing someone" he says handing it back.
"She does?" I ask frowning at the picture.
"Yeah I've seen that look before, someone I knew lost their mom and they had the same look in their eyes, I've seen it a few times after but never as closely as then or clearly, her's is almost screaming it"
"Who knows with her, she never said anything and was always hiding stuff or lying" I say giving a nervous laugh.
He looks at me for a moment before humming and walking away, picking it up I frown looking her eyes, now that he mentioned it I seen a similar look in mine and Dawn's eyes after losing mom, I just don't understand why she's sad, she could have went home after we killed Kakistos.
