Hearing the Slayer getting close enough I walk over picking up the bundle before looking at the woman in charge.
She takes a breath following me out, once out I shove her back with her magic while making sure she's doesn't get hurt or go through the wall.
"No please, don't" she calls crying.
Glancing I see the slayer running faster and take off running while cradling it to my chest safely as I run faster, coming to the old mad hatters house I grab a hat off the shelf tossing it down so it's between me and her.
"Careful Slayer, that's a portal to different a realm" I taunt grabbing a branch.
"Faith don't do this, that child's innocent"
Laughing I loosen my hold on the bundle "are you sure about that?"
"It's nothing but a monster, just like the child they stole was, that's what the rules say, if you're born from anyone with darkness or a villain parent then you're blamed for the crimes as well" I add.
"Why does it concern you if it wasn't you" she snaps.
"Because it's wrong and I faced the same thing, the heros tried to put my family's crimes on me, they called Lily a monster before she hatched so this is how a hero works, if you're not human or fairy, have potential for darkness, or the child of a villain then you hold blame for it"
"Then you are just like them if you do this" she snaps.
"This monster's mother slaughtered a group of hunters tracking her for being a beast, so let's play this like Snow White did, Maleficent never did anything to her but offer to help her stop my mother to protect her daughter, this things mother offered me help and now I'll return the kindness that like they did"
"One less monster right" I taunt before tossing it to the portal watching as she dives after it, seeing it close up I straighten my outfit smirking as I grab the hat up before putting on my head.
Hearing Cordy yelling for me I huff focusing on her as I vanish.
Landing on a branch I squat down with my hand holding the branch for balance "you called?"
She huffs holding a bag out "now what's going on".
Taking it I open it finding the few items I requested before looking at Lily "she jumped in a portal to save a doll thinking it's a baby" I say seeing her stiffen up.
"I needed to see if she could be a hero without judging an innocent for who their parents are or for having a beast in them, she went after the doll and refused to acknowledge my calling it a monster" I add.
Hearing her growl I jump down looking at her "she's who we need to help free us from this curse, a real hero not a fraud, had she refused to see the possible baby as an innocent I would have knocked her out and continued having her face challenges to be seen as a hero".
Patting my pocket down I smirk holding out a map to her "that will get you back to the group, Red and Mulan will join later now I have something important to do".
Taking off I land back at the settlement and knock, seeing the gate open I push my hair back while walking in "Faith what happened?"
"Nothing, everything went as planned" I answer calmly while moving to the makeshift bed with an extremely small nearly one year old baby boy asleep on it.
Picking him up I look around before seeing the woman holding a burlap sack out to me, walking over I hand her the baby and take the bag making it into a diaper bag for him that I slip over my should.
Taking him back I press my nose to his head "when did he last eat?" I ask.
"About two hours ago but not enough, foods getting hard to catch"
"I know" I say while holding out the hat I have on "I have a little work to do but this hat will send you all to my territory, when the guards show tell them you have an urgent message for Morgana and give her this" I say while handing her a letter.
A few hours later
Checking everything one last time I nod looking at the woman "you're ready and I'll see you soon" I say before vanishing with the boy in my arms.
Landing back where I started I walk on easily finding the house and walk in "Faith, why do you have a baby?" Cordy asks crossing her arms.
"Well I happened to find his mother dying after some heros attacked her, I couldn't save her and she asked me to take him I planned to leave him in a settlement that holds a lot of beast orphans but I couldn't so I guess he's mine"
Looking at Cordy she smiles coming closer holding her arms out, I smile handing him to her watching as she sways him "what's his name?"
"She didn't tell me I guess I have to name him"
