The Wondrous World of Pokémon! A world filled with mysterious creatures known as Pokémon, who come in all shapes and sizes. They live everywhere imaginable. On the land, in the seas and skies, and some even come from outer space. These creatures can bond with humans thanks to the special capture devices known as Pokéballs. Those who use Pokémon for battle are known as Pokémon Trainers. After Latrell and Silver both earned the Boulder Badge from Brock, our heroes plan to set off from Pewter City to make their way through Mt. Moon and arrive at Basalt City for Blue's first contest. But, something more important suddenly comes up.
With the group inside the Pokémon Center
Latrell: Alright, we're all ready to go?
Fiore: Yep. We all got everything.
Blue: We're gonna head to Basalt City for my first Contest. I can't wait!
Silver: Do you know what you're gonna do?
Blue: I was planning on thinking about it while we were on the road. Me and Eevee still aren't that used to each other yet, so we haven't worked anything out.
Eevee: Vee!
Random Girl: You say that Ralts was blue?
Random Guy: Yeah, and it was pretty strong too. Me and my Wooper were totally beat.
Latrell: Ralts?
Silver: It's a Pokémon native to the Hoenn Region. Look. (Pulls out his phone and types something on it)
Rotom Phone: Ralts, the Feeling Pokémon. A Psychic and Fairy Type. It is highly attuned to the emotions of people and Pokémon. It hides if it senses hostility.
Blue: Hmm, the Ralts in the Pokédex is green.
Silver: Well, that guy definitely said blue. Not you, Blue, the color blue.
Latrell: Fiore, you don't think-
Fiore: (Runs up to the two random trainers) Hey, did you say you saw a blue Ralts?
Random Guy: Yeah, it totally beat my Wooper, it's a lot tougher than most Ralts I've seen.
Fiore: And where did you see it?
Random Guy: It was in Viridian Forest. You're not thinking of trying to battle it, are you?
Fiore: Hmm, sorry, already left. Latrell, let's go! (Swiftly grabs Latrell by his wrist and drags him out of the Pokémon Center)
Latrell: Okay..
Silver: Should we follow them?
Blue: Nope, if you go into the forest, we're gonna be trapped there for 2 weeks.
Silver: (Deadpans Blue) Hilarious. What do we do while we wait for those two to come back?
Blue: Not sure.
Random Girl: Not sure if either of you would be interested in this, but Gym Leader Brock is holding a cooking class today in about an hour, and he's letting anyone join.
Blue: Perfect! We needed someone who knew how to cook anyway, so I'll take the class. You gonna join me, Silver?
Silver: Nah, I'm probably gonna stay and train for my next Gym Battle.
Blue: At least come with me to the class so you don't get lost.
Silver: (Exasperated sigh) This is never gonna end, is it?
Blue: Nope. Let's go. (Walks out with Silver and the random girl)
With Latrell and Fiore in Viridian Forest
Latrell: Why are we even going to find that blue Ralts?
Fiore: There's a chance it could be a Shiny Pokémon!
Latrell: Makes sense. Now why did you drag me with you?
Fiore: Your Grookey probably knows the forest well, so it can help us search.
Latrell: Fair point.
Fiore: Hey, I see something blue. (Points to a bright blue Pokémon whose back is sticking out of the grass)
Latrell: Grookey, come on out! (Throws his Pokéball to reveal Grookey)
Grookey: Groo?
Latrell: Hey, you mind talking to that Pokémon, Grookey?
Grookey: Groo! (Walks up to the Pokémon and lightly taps it with his stick)
(Suddenly, a Nidoran Female jumps out at Grookey and tries to attack him with her horn)
Grookey: (Runs away scared and jumps onto Latrell's shoulder)
Latrell: That's not a Ralts. C'mon, let's keep looking. (Walks away with Fiore behind him)
With Blue and Silver at the Pewter City Community Center
Blue: You sure you don't wanna take the class with me?
Silver: Nah, I don't have good experiences with cooking.
Blue: Alright, well, don't go too far from here for your training.
Silver: (Rolls eyes) Yeah, I got it.
Blue: (Walks into the building)
Silver: (Walks around to the back of the building)
With Latrell, Fiore, and Piplup in Viridian Forest
Fiore: We've been looking for an hour! Where is this Ralts?
Piplup: Pip! Pip, Pip-Lup!
Latrell: I haven't seen anything. Hey Grookey, you find anything?
Grookey: Groo! (Jumps out of a tree and onto Latrell's shoulder)
Latrell: You found something?
Grookey: Key... (Shakes his head)
Latrell: (Pets Grookey's head) It's okay, don't feel bad.
Piplup: Lup! Lup! Pip-Lup! (Points out something up ahead)
Fiore: Piplup, you see something?
Latrell: Fiore, look! (Points up ahead, where a Ralts is battling a Pidgey, but the top of the Ralts' head is a pale blue instead of green, and the pink on its head is now orange)
Fiore: It's the Ralts!
Latrell: How can we tell if it's a Shiny Pokémon or not?
Fiore: Simple. I have a filter in my Pokédex that allows me to see what a Shiny Variant of a Pokémon looks like. (Pulls out her phone)
Latrell: Oh, that's cool.
Fiore: (Types something on her phone) Yes! That's it! It's a Shiny Ralts!
Latrell: Sweet!
Ralts: Ral! (Uses Confusion on Pidgey to capture it with Psychic Energy and tosses it into a tree)
Pidgey: (Caws as it hits the tree then falls to the ground)
Latrell: What Pokémon is that? (Uses the Pokédex on Pidgey)
Rotom Phone: Pidgey, the Tiny Bird Pokémon. A Normal and Flying Type. Pidgey are very docile. If attacked, it will often kick up sand to protect itself rather than fight back.
Latrell: Is it okay? (Walks up to the Pidgey)
Grookey: Groo?
Pidgey: (Chirps in pain)
Latrell: Dang, I didn't bring my bag with me.
Grookey: Key! Key-Key-Groo! (Jumps onto the ground and starts hitting the ground with his stick)
Fiore: What's Grookey doing?
Piplup: Lup?
Ralts: Ral...
(Suddenly, waves surrounding Grookey appear out of the ground and start making Pidgey glow)
Latrell: Grookey, are you doing that?
Grookey: Groo! Key-Key! (Nods his head)
Pidgey: (Happily gets up flies up to Grookey)
Grookey: Groo! Groo-Key!
Pidgey: (Happily chirps)
Fiore: How did Grookey do that? (Pulls the Pokédex on Grookey)
Rotom Phone: Grookey can beat the ground with its stick and summon healing waves from the ground as long as dirt or grass is what its hitting.
Latrell: Awesome.
Ralts: Ralts! Ral-Ralts!
With Silver training with Treecko and Mankey in the back of the Community Center
Silver: Treecko, use Bullet Seed!
Treecko: Tree... Co! (Shoots Bullet Seed at Mankey)
Silver: Mankey, dodge it and use Karate Chop!
Mankey: Key! Key! (Dodges the Bullet Seed and charges at Treecko with Karate Chop)
Silver: Treecko, block it with Slam!
Treecko: Tree! (Swings his tail and clashes his Slam with Mankey's Karate Chop)
Silver: Alright, I've gotta pee. You two keep at the training. (Walks to the front of the Community Center)
Treecko: Tree!
Mankey: Man-Key!
With Latrell and Fiore in Viridian Forest, with Grookey and Piplup playing with Pidgey and Ralts
Ralts: (Happily cheers as she lifts up Grookey and Piplup with Confusion)
Pidgey: (Chirps as he flies around the levitating Grookey and Piplup)
Latrell: They're all having a lot of fun.
Fiore: Yeah, I think Pidgey and Grookey get along really well.
Latrell: Yeah, I'm just glad he's doing okay now. That Ralts is powerful.
Fiore: Yeah. Hey, why don't you catch Pidgey?
Latrell: Sounds like a great idea! Hey Pidgey, come over here for a second.
Pidgey: (Flies over to Latrell and perches on his head)
Latrell: So, you wanna join my team?
Pidgey: (Chirps)
Latrell: Is that a yes?
Pidgey: (Nods his head)
Latrell: Great! (Takes out a Pokéball and taps it on Pidgey's head)
Pidgey: (Happily chirps as he goes into the Pokéball and it shakes three times, then its button glows green to signify the successful capture)
Latrell: Yes! I caught Pidgey!
Fiore: Great!
Latrell: So, you still wanna catch the Ralts?
Fiore: I almost forgot! (Walks up to Ralts)
Ralts: Ral? (Stops holding Grookey and Piplup up as they fall to the ground)
Grookey and Piplup: (Glare at Ralts)
Piplup: Lup! Lup! Pip-Pip-Lup!
Grookey: Key! Groo-Groo-Key!
Fiore: Hey Ralts, do you wanna join me?
Ralts: Ral...
(Suddenly, a net wrapped around Ralts and retracted to the person who launched it)
Latrell: What?!
Fiore: For the love of Arceus, not again.
Giselle: Arceus is heartbroken now.
Yosef: This Ralts will make us millions on the Black Market, even billions!
Greg: (Takes a cracker out of his box with a wing) Billions!
Latrell: Let that Ralts go!
Giselle: Never! Greg, make sure they don't follow us!
Greg: Ugh, why is it always me? (Flies up to Latrell, Fiore, and their respective Grass and Water Types)
Latrell: Grookey, use Branch-
Greg: Sand-Attack! (Uses Sand-Attack to surround the group in a dust cloud)
Fiore: Ugh, I can't see!
Piplup: Lup!
With Silver stepping outside the bathroom of the Community Center
Silver: Alright, now to get back to Treecko and Mankey. I think the exit was this way? (Walks to his left and takes a turn but stumbles into a dead end)
Rotom Phone: (Quietly chuckles as the Rotom leaves the phone and flies off)
Silver: I'll text Blue and how the class is going. (Attempts to turn on his phone to no avail) Hey, wake up, Rotom. (He looks to see that the Rotom is no longer in the phone) Are you serious?! Man, I'll just see if I can find Blue.
With Blue in her cooking class with Brock
Brock: Great, now just a light touch of salt and the pizza should be done.
Blue: (Suddenly sneezes into her arm as she accidentally puts a lot of salt on the pizza)
Brock: Bless you.
Blue: Thanks, but I put too much salt on the pizza. (Chuckles)
Brock: Yeah, I wouldn't eat this if I were you.
Blue: (Laughs)
15 minutes later with Latrell, Fiore, and their respective Starter Pokémon in the forest
Latrell: I can't believe we let them get away!
Fiore: I hope Ralts is okay...
Latrell: Don't worry, Grookey and Pidgey will find them, and then we'll get Ralts back.
Charmander: Char! Char-Man!
Piplup: Lup! Lup! Pip-Lup!
Fiore: Yeah, we've got this.
Grookey: Groo! Groo! Groo-Groo-Key! (Runs towards Latrell with Pidgey flying behind him)
Latrell: Did you find Ralts?
Grookey: Key! (Nods his head)
Latrell: Awesome! Alright guys, let's get Ralts back!
Fiore: Yeah, let's get Ralts back! Lead the way, Grookey!
Grookey: Key! (Starts running in the direction he just came from with Pidgey following behind)
Latrell: Let's go! (Follows Grookey and Pidgey alongside Fiore, Charmander, and Piplup)
Back with Silver in the Community Center
Silver: Agh! I can't find my way out of this place! It's like a maze! (Walks into a random door)
Blue: Silver? What are you doing here?
Brock: And why have you just been going past the door like 10 times now?
Silver: I have?
Brock: Yeah, I just figured you were looking for something.
Silver: I kinda am, do you know where the exit is?
Blue: (Deadpans Silver) Are you serious?
Brock: Just go to the left-
Blue: Brock, don't bother. I'll just show him the way out. I'll be back in 5.
Brock: Alright.
With Latrell, Fiore, Charmander, Piplup, Grookey, and Pidgey in a random clearing in Viridian Forestwhere the Poké-Pilferers are hiding
Latrell: There they are!
Fiore: Let Ralts go!
Yosef: Not a chance! We've already got 200 people bidding for this Ralts and counting!
Giselle: How did you even find us?
Grookey: Groo!
Pidgey: (Chirps)
Latrell: That Ralts doesn't belong to you!
Giselle: And it doesn't belong to you either!
Latrell: Pidgey, use Whirlwind to get the net away from them!
Pidgey: (Caws as he makes a whirlwind under the net and sends Ralts into the air)
Greg: I got it! (Starts to fly up to the net)
Latrell: Pidgey, intercept it with Quick Attack!
Pidgey: (Charges at Greg the Chatot with Quick Attack and knocks him down)
Greg: I'll get you for that, you son of a-
Yosef: Greg! Kids are watching!
Latrell: Grookey, break the net with Razor Leaf!
Grookey: Groo... Key! (Launches Razor Leaf at the net, breaking it open)
Ralts: Ral!
Giselle: Yosef, catch it!
Latrell: Pidgey, grab Ralts quick!
Pidgey: (Uses his feet to grab Ralts' arms)
Giselle: Give us back our cash cow, you feathery pest!
Pidgey: (Flies towards Fiore and drops Ralts into her arms)
Fiore: Yes! We got Ralts back!
Yosef: Not for long! Let's go, Rattata! (Throws his Pokéball to reveal Rattata)
Giselle: Zubat, you too! (Throws her Pokéball to reveal Zubat)
Zubat: Bat!
Rattata: Rat-Atta!
Latrell: Charmander, use Flamethrower!
Fiore: Bubble Beam, Piplup!
Charmander: Char... Man! (Blasts Flamethrower at the Trio)
Piplup: Pip... Lup! (Shoots Bubble Beam at the Trio alongside Charmander's Flamethrower, and hits them simultaneously with Charmander, sending them flying)
Greg: We could've had millions!
Yosef: Or billions!
Giselle: Those snot-nosed brats will pay!
The Trio: We'll be back soon! (The Trio becomes a little star in the sky as they fly off)
Latrell: You guys were great!
Charmander: Char! Char-Man!
Pidgey: (Happily chirps)
Grookey: Groo! Groo! Key-Key!
Fiore: You too, Piplup.
Piplup: Lup-Lup!
Fiore: Sorry we let that happen to you, Ralts.
Ralts: Ral! (Hugs Fiore's arm)
Latrell: I don't think Ralts is mad at you. Do you still want to catch her?
Fiore: Of course. Ralts, do you wanna join me?
Ralts: Ralts! Ral-Ralts! (Hugs Fiore's arm even tighter)
Latrell: I think that's a yes.
Fiore: Great! I'm really glad you're going to be joining me, Ralts. (Taps Ralts' head with a Pokéball, then Ralts goes into the Pokéball and it shakes three times, then its button glows green to signify the successful capture)
Piplup: Pip!
Fiore: Yes! I caught Ralts!
Latrell: Great! Now let's head back to Pewter City.
Fiore: Yeah, I can't wait to show Silver and Blue!
At around sunset at the Pokémon Center with Silver and Blue
Blue: (Deadpans Silver) Yeah, we're never leaving you alone again.
Silver: That place was confusing!
Blue: You just had to take a right turn from the bathroom at the end of the hall!
Silver: Exactly! Confusing!
Latrell: (Walks into the Pokémon Center with Fiore) Hey, we're back!
Fiore: Hey, you two.
Blue: Hey, did you find the Ralts?
Fiore: Yep! And Latrell also caught a Pidgey!
Blue: That's great, you two.
Silver: On a more important topic, the Rotom inside my phone just disappeared!
Fiore: Really?
Silver: Yes, look! (Shows the group his phone, just for Rotom to swiftly fly back into the phone)
Latrell: Am I supposed to not see Rotom?
Silver: Eh? (Looks at his phone to see Rotom back in the phone)
Fiore: Are you sure Rotom wasn't just sleeping?
Silver: Are you kidding me?!
Blue: Oh, right. I learned how to cook and bake from Brock. Do you two want some pizza?
Latrell: Of course!
Fiore: Yeah! I'm starving!
Blue: Here you go! (Hands Latrell and Fiore each a slice of pizza)
Fiore: (Takes a bite out of the pizza) So salty! (Hands Blue back the slice of pizza) Thanks, it wasn't bad.
Latrell: You got another one? (Takes his last bite of the pizza)
Eevee: Ee!
And with that, Fiore has made her first step towards her goal and caught a Shiny Pokémon! And Latrell now has a new friend in Pidgey. With that, our heroes have new Pokémon to join them on the way to Mt. Moon so they can get to Basalt City for Blue's first Contest. What will happen on their way there?
