The Wondrous World of Pokémon! A world filled with mysterious creatures known as Pokémon, who come in all shapes and sizes. They live everywhere imaginable. On the land, in the seas and skies, and some even come from outer space. These creatures can bond with humans thanks to the special capture devices known as Pokéballs. Those who use Pokémon for battle are known as Pokémon Trainers. Blue has made it to the Semifinals of the Basalt City Pokémon Contest, but Fiore has also been hard at work, as she and her duo of Pokémon had defended the Mart together. And now, we'll join Latrell and Silver as they get to the end of their joint hunt for a Froakie alongside their new friends, Derek and Strayer.

With Latrell, Silver, Derek, and Strayer all running to where the Water Pulses that hit Pidgey and Gligar came from

Silver: That Froakie is gonna be mine!

Latrell: Not a chance! I'm gonna catch it!

Derek: You'll have to beat me first!

Strayer: I see it! (Points a bit further and to the group's right, where they can see Froakie running behind a building, in which they all follow suit)

With Blue in the Contest Hall's Dressing Room, watching the screen as Diane beats her opponent with Scorbunny's Ember knocking out her opponent's Pokémon, a Hoenn Zigzagoon

Lilian (On the Screen): Diane and her Scorbunny have made it to the next round!

Blue: Yes! She did it!

Lilian (On the Screen): And with that, we have our semifinalists!

(The screen cuts to the same background from before, with 4 Coordinators being shown on screen, showing from left to right, Diane, Blue, Chocolate, and a somewhat familiar looking beautiful woman with long yellowish-blonde hair, green eyes, and a pink flower hair accessory on the right of her hair)

Blue: So Chocolate made it too.

Diane: (Walks into the Dressing Room and approaches Blue) Hey, looks like we're both in the Semifinals.

Blue: Yep! And Chocolate too.

Diane: But who's that fourth one?

Blue: Not sure, though she looks kind of familiar.

With Latrell and Grookey, Silver, Derek, Strayer, as they've chased Froakie to a clearing in the city where the four of them managed to corner it

Froakie: Fro... (Darts his eyes at the four Trainers surrounding him)

Strayer: So... who gets to catch it?

Silver: We could battle each other to see who gets to battle Froakie.

Derek: Nah, Froakie would get away by then.

Latrell: And our Pokémon would be too spent afterwards to battle Froakie.

Strayer: So, what are we gonna do?

Latrell: I'e got it! Let's have a free-for-all!

Grookey: Groo?

Silver: Sounds good to me, you two in?

Derek: No complaints here.

Latrell: Okay, Grookey, you've got this. (Rubs the head of the Chimp Pokémon)

Grookey: Groo! (Hops off of Latrell's shoulder and into the clearing)

Strayer: Cool, let's do it! Charmeleon, let's do it! (Throws out his Pokéball to reveal a Charmeleon)

Charmeleon: (Comes out of its Pokéball and growls as it enters the clearing)

Derek: Riolu, I choose you! (Throws out his Pokéball to reveal a Riolu)

Riolu: (Comes out of its Pokéball in a fighting position as it enters the clearing) Ri!

Silver: Alright, Onix, you're up! (Throws out his Pokéball to reveal Onix)

Onix: (Comes out of its Pokéball, towering over all the Trainers and Pokémon, roaring as it looks down on the opposing Pokémon)

Froakie: Fro-Fro-Kee!

Latrell: Woah, a Charmeleon. (Pulls out his Rotom Phone)

Rotom Phone: Charmeleon, the Flame Pokémon. A Fire Type and the evolved form of Charmander. It is very hotheaded by nature, so it constantly seeks opponents to battle against. Its aggression will not be quelled if it doesn't win.

Latrell: Cool.

Silver: What about that other one? (Pulls out his Rotom Phone)

Rotom Phone: Riolu, the Emanation Pokémon. A Fighting Type. It has the peculiar power of being able to see emotions, such as joy and rage, in the form of waves.

Silver: That's cool.

Latrell: Okay, let's go! Grookey, use Razor Leaf on all of them!

Grookey: Groo... Key! (Jumps in the air and launches Razor Leaf with its stick, aiming for all four of the opposing Pokémon)

Derek: Dodge it, Riolu!

Riolu: Lu! (Jumps in the air, avoiding the Razor Leaves coming its way)

Froakie: Kee! (Does the same as Riolu, then prepares a Water Pulse aimed at Grookey)

Silver: Onix, use Dragon Breath!

Onix: (Roars and then uses Dragon Breath, hitting Froakie and knocking it to the ground)

Froakie: Fro... Kee! (Quickly gets up after the Dragon Breath)

Derek: That Onix will be a big threat. Riolu, use Vacuum Wave on Onix!

Riolu: Ri... Olu! (Fires a Vacuum Wave at Onix, hitting the Rock Pokémon for super effective damage)

Latrell: That Riolu's fast. Grookey, Branch Poke on Riolu, now!

Grookey: Groo! (Runs at Riolu, and attempts to hit it with his branch)

Derek: Riolu, Detect!

Riolu: Ri! (Uses Detect as its eyes flash blue for a second, then it perfectly dodges Grookey's attack)

Strayer: Charmeleon, use Dragon Rage on Froakie!

Charmeleon: Char... Meleon! (Fires Dragon Rage at Froakie, who isn't able to avoid the Flame Pokémon's sudden attack in time and gets hit)

Silver: Onix, hit all of them, use Rock Tomb all over!

Onix: (Roars as it summons a bunch of giant rocks and scatters them all over the battlefield, though missing all of the opposing Pokémon)

Grookey: Groo... (Looks around, noticing there's rocks everywhere)

Derek: We're gonna be limited in movement unless we get rid of those rocks. Use Vacuum Wave!

Riolu: Lu! (Uses Vacuum Wave, breaking a few of the rocks right in front of it)

Latrell: Good idea. Grookey, use Razor Leaf on the rocks!

Grookey: Key! Key-Key! (Uses Razor Leaf on some of the rocks, breaking the rocks it was aiming at)

Froakie: Fro... Kee! (Uses multiple Water Pulses on the rocks surrounding it, decimating them all)

Strayer: Charmeleon, help out with Metal Claw!

Charmeleon: Char! Char! (Slashes the rocks with Metal Claw, cutting them perfectly)

Silver: While everyone's worried about the rocks, Onix, use Dig!

Latrell: If you're gonna go on the offensive, so will we! Grookey, use Branch Poke on Froakie!

Derek: Riolu, use Quick Attack on Grookey!

Froakie: (Looks straight at Charmeleon and gets ready to use Pound)

Strayer: Charmeleon, use Metal Claw on Riolu!

Charmeleon, Froakie, Grookey, and Riolu: (All start chasing each other in a circle with Metal Claw, Pound, Branch Poke, and Quick Attack respectively, all keeping a similar distance from each other due to the rocks that hadn't been destroyed)

Froakie: Kee! (Suddenly stops running and jumps over the rocks, attempting to intercept one of its opponents)

Derek, Latrell, and Strayer: Do the same as Froakie!

Charmeleon, Grookey, and Riolu: (All jump towards the middle of the circle where they were running in, with all their attacks alongside Froakie's colliding at the center)

Silver: Onix, now!

Onix: (Roars as it jumps out of the ground with Dig, hitting all the opposing Pokémon and knocking them down in the process, while also sending the rocks up in the air, and crashing back down)

Derek: Riolu, get up and use Detect to dodge the rocks!

Riolu: Lu! (Gets up from being knocked down, then uses Detect as its eyes flash blue and it dodges all the rocks falling towards it)

Froakie: Fro! (Uses its natural agility alongside Quick Attack to dodge all the incoming rocks)

Strayer: Charmeleon, get outta there!

Charmeleon: Char! (Tries to run from the rocks, but ends up getting pelted right on its back, falling to the ground)

Strayer: Charmeleon, no!

Charmeleon: Char... (Groans in pain as it falls unconscious from all the damage its taken)

Strayer: Dang it, I lost. Charmeleon, return. (Returns the now fainted Charmeleon to its Pokéball, then walk over to a nearby tree and sits down)

Latrell: Grookey, get out of there! C'mon, I believe in you!

Grookey: Groo...

Grookey's then gets a flashback, particularly the time when he met Latrell back in Viridian Forest after the latter's hat was stolen by the former

Latrell (Groggily): (Slowly opens his eyes) Hey, what's going on?

Grookey: Key! (Quickly grabs Latrell's hat and runs off)

Latrell: Give me back my hat! (Gets up and chases after Grookey, who took his hat)

Grookey then thinks back to battling Brock's Onix back in Pewter City

Latrell: Finish it, send him to the ground with Branch Poke!

Grookey: Groo... Key! (Hits Onix over the head with Branch Poke, sending Onix to the ground)

Onix: (Roars in pain as he falls and hits the ground)

Grookey then hears Latrell's words from a few seconds ago

Latrell: C'mon, I believe in you!

Back to the Present

Grookey: (Glares at the falling rocks, and quickly gets up)

Latrell: Yes!

Grookey: Groo... (His body starts to glow a sky blue, and he moves faster than ever, avoiding the rocks that were going to hit him, and jumps on one of them, bouncing off of it and towards Froakie)

Silver: What was that? A new move?

Latrell: (Pulls out his Rotom Phone)

Rotom Phone: Acrobatics. A Flying Type Move. The user of Acrobatics moves agilely and then attacks its target.

Latrell: Awesome! Grookey learned Acrobatics!

Grookey: Key! (Manages to land a hit on Froakie with Acrobatics, knocking the Water Type back and into a rock)

Froakie: (Manages to get up after getting hit by Acrobatics then hitting the rock, though it is now stumbling)

Derek: Riolu, Grookey's a bigger threat now that it has Acrobatics, so hit it with Vacuum Wave!

Riolu: Ri! (Fires Vacuum Wave at Grookey)

Latrell: Counter it with Razor Leaf!

Grookey: Groo! (Quickly turns to Riolu and the oncoming Vacuum Wave, then attacks the latter using Razor Leaf, with both attacks cancelling each other out)

Latrell: Acrobatics!

Derek: Quick Attack!

Grookey and Riolu: (Both of the Pokémon cry as they rush at each other witn speed, then clash, with Grookey's foot attempting to push back Riolu's head)

Silver: Onix, hit them both with Slam!

Onix: (Roars and then uses Slam on Grookey and Riolu, knocking them both into Froakie, causing all three of the smaller Pokémon to hit each other and then the ground)

Latrell: Grookey, quick, use Branch Poke on Riolu!

Grookey: Groo! (Attempts to use Branch Poke on Riolu)

Derek: Riolu, use Detect to dodge then hit it with Low Kick!

Riolu: Ri! (Uses Detect as its eyes flash blue, which allows it to perfectly sidestep to dodge Grookey's Branch Poke) Olu! (Uses Low Kick, striking Grookey in the chest, knocking the Chimp Pokémon back and on the ground)

Latrell: Grookey!

Grookey: Groo... (Groans in pain as it falls unconscious)

Latrell: I guess we lost. Thanks a lot, Grookey, you're the best. Get a good rest. (Returns Grookey to his Pokéball, then walks over to where Strayer is and sits down next to him)

Silver: Guess it's down to us.

Derek: Yep. And...

Froakie, Onix, and Riolu: (All dart their eyes towards each other)

Silver: Whoever moves first...

Froakie: Fro! (Quickly jumps high in the air, creating a Water Pulse)

Silver: Onix, Dragon Breath on Froakie now!

Onix: (Roars and uses Dragon Breath on the now airborne Froakie)

Froakie: Kee-Kee! (Uses the Water Pulse to deflect the Dragon Breath and launch itself higher in the air)

Derek: What?!

Strayer: What kinda move is that?

Latrell: One born from instinct.

Froakie: Fro... Kee! (Fires the Water Pulse at Riolu)

Derek: Riolu! Counter it with Vacuum Wave!

Riolu: Ri... Olu! (Uses Vacuum Wave to attempt the counter the Water Pulse, but the Water Type Attack destroys it and hits the Fighting Type dead center, sending it flying)

Derek: Riolu!

Riolu: (Falls and hits the ground, now unconscious)

Derek: I guess I lost... All up to you, Silver. (Walks over to the Fire Starter owners and sits next to them)

Silver: Yeah. Let's go, Onix!

Onix: (Nods his head as he does a low growl)

Froakie: Fro...

Strayer: Just looking from here, I can say one thing.

Derek: You feel it too?

Latrell: Yeah, both of them... won't be able to withstand another attack.

Silver: Dragon Breath!

Onix: (Roars and fires Dragon Breath at Froakie)

Froakie: Fro! (Shoots an exceptionally powerful Water Gun at Onix's Dragon Breath, and the two attacks clash)

Silver: C'mon...

Froakie: Fro... (Pushes harder with Water Gun, and it starts to overpower Dragon Breath)

Silver: C'mon, we won't lose!

Onix: (Roars even louder as it goes all out with Dragon Breath, and it overpowers Water Gun and hits Froakie directly)

Froakie: Fro! (Flies back from the impact of Dragon Breath and hits a tree, then falls to the ground, struggling to get up)

Strayer: It's down!

Latrell: This is your chance, catch it!

Derek: Hurry!

Silver: Right! Go, Pokéball! (Throws a Pokéball at Froakie, then Froakie goes into the Pokéball and it shakes three times, then its button glows green to signify the successful capture)

Latrell: You did it!

Silver: Yes! I caught a Froakie! Onix, return. You were awesome. (Walks over to Froakie's Pokéball and picks it up)

Derek: Well, that was fun, but I should get going now.

Strayer: Seriously?

Derek: Yeah, sorry. I've got some business I've got to attend to somewhere near the the next city over. And I plan to earn the Cerulean City Gym Badge on my way there.

Latrell: Wait, you collect Gym Badges?

Derek: Yep.

Strayer: What do ya know? Me too.

Latrell: Same goes for me and Silver.

Derek: Great. Cerulean City is the closest Gym from here. There's also Pewter City, but I already earned a badge from there, so Cerulean City's my next stop. Alright, see you guys.

Silver: Wait!

Derek: Hmm? What's up?

Latrell: Since we're all going for Gym Badges, we'll all be seeing each other at the Indigo League.

Strayer: I guess you're right.

Derek: What are you saying?

Silver: Isn't it obvious?

Latrell: All of us are now rivals!

Strayer: Challenge accepted.

Derek: Same here. But just so you know, I don't plan on losing to you all. Alright, I need to get going now. See you later, let's meet again down the road! (Walks off from the now trio)

Silver: Later!

Strayer: Best wishes!

Latrell: Catch ya! And good luck with your next Gym Battle!

Silver: Who would've thought that trying to get burgers would lead to me catching Froakie?

Latrell: Bring him out his Pokéball, you should properly introduce yourself to it.

Silver: Yeah. Froakie, come on out! (Tosses his Pokéball upwards as Froakie comes out)

Froakie: Fro!

Silver: Hey Froakie! My name is Silver, and I'm your new Trainer.

Latrell: And I'm Latrell. I hopr you'll get along with my Pokémon.

Froakie: Fro-Fro.

Latrell: Hmm... something feels off...

Silver: Yeah...

We now join Fiore as she's sitting on a bench in the city, enjoying apple juice with Piplup and Ralts

Fiore: (Glances over at her two Pokémon) Hmm... what am I forgetting..?

We now join Blue and Diane as they wait for the announcement of the Semifinal Matches

Lilian (On the Screen): Sorry for the long wait, folks! It's time to announce who each of our Top 4 Coordinators will have to fight in order to advance to the finals! It's going to be...

(The Screen then cuts to the same background, with the four images being separated into two clusters of two, with Blue being paired up with the beautiful woman, and Diane being paired up with Chocolate)

Lilian (Voiceover on the Screen): It's Blue facing off against Daisy, and Diane going up against Chocolate!

Diane: (Gasps) Me against Chocolate?!

Blue: (Gasps) That's where I know her!

Diane: Daisy?

Blue: Yeah, she's one of the Sensational Sisters of Cerulean City...

We then see a triple split-screen of Latrell, Silver, and Fiore still thinking

Fiore, Latrell, and Silver: Hmm...

Back to Blue and Diane

Blue: And she's... a Gym Leader...

Back to the triple split-screen

Fiore, Latrell, and Silver: Agh! We forgot Blue!

Strayer: (As a chibi head that pops up in the middle of the split) Huh?

And with that, the hunt for Froakie has ended, Silver has added the Water Type Pokémon to his team, and Latrell's Grookey learned a powerful new move, Acrobatics! But now, the realization that the duo and Fiore had all forgotten about Blue's Contest, and at the same time, we learn that for Blue to advance to the Finals of the Basalt Contest, she has to beat Daisy, a Gym Leader! What will come of Latrell and Silver's new rivalry with Derek and Strayer? Will Latrell, Silver, and Fiore be able to make it back to the Contest Hall in time to support Blue in her battle? And will Blue be able to win and advance to the finals? Find out next time. As the Journey Continues!
