Chapter 5: Ledgends of the Asmodus crystals
After getting away from the pirates the small group were happy to successfully get away however the Engineer was surprised at seeing something else on the tracks honking but it wasnt an automobile but it was some sort of train tank "Well will you know about that? Its the army to the rescue" Said the engineer surprised as both slowed down to a halt as Blitzo and Stolas stepped out "Hay can you kindly help out these two young people? Pirates have been chasing them all day" Asked the Engineer as Stolas was nervous as from the side a military hellhound stepped out along with Amon as Stolas gasped and was scared which worried Blitzo at how scared the poor owl was "Whats a matter?" Asked Blitzo but Stolas backed away "Goodby Blitzo" he whispered worried as he ran off "Hay young man come back here!" Said Amon and the soldier as Blitzo tripped Amon causing him to fall as well as the soldier as Blitzo hurried to follow Stolas "STOLAS!" He yelled "Halt or I'll shoot!" Yelled the soldier pulling out his gun as more soldiers came out but the engineer quickly unleashed the steam blinding them as Blitzo quickly caught up but the two saw Bella and her boys were using the Automobile to make the cart move to get closer to the two and the army "That's a armored train ma" said Chaz "Were the Shine Gang attack!" Yelled Bella as she fired her gun to attack as Stolas ran away "Oh no! Hay! Stolas" yelled Blitzo as Stolas ran on the other track line "DOnt follow me you'll get hurt" said Stolas scared for his new imp freinds life.
However the tank fired attacking the pirates but the girl isnt giving up as she fired the tracks level and changed it causing the cart to change tracks as the tank fired damaging the train tracks but the piarates managed to avoid falling as they were chasing the imp and owl as they ran faster as they tried to grab them but Blitzo reacted wrapping his arm around the waist of Stolas as he jumped to the side as the cart drove passed them but the tracks were damaged badly as Blitzo held on tight "Dont let go" said Stolas panicking as Bella and her boys crashed destroying the automobile as Bella recovered "Come on" she barked ordering her men to follow her onto the tracks but stopped seeing it collapse as Blitzo grunted holding tight "Where are they mother?" Asked Striker as she held her arms out "Be quiet just watch them" said Bella as Blitzo held on tight as he can, but it last as long as it could as his fingers slipped as he and Stolas fell with a scream into the dark lower parts of the town.
However Bella watched interested as in the darkness…was a glowing pink star as Bella grinned as with Stolas and Blitzo as they hugged close from Stolas necklace as it glowed pink as the energy wrapped around the two as his stone glowed as they soon slowed down as they slowly seperated as Blitzo was in awe but held there hands close "Stolas were floating" he said as they were floating down in awe and amazement at what was happening "See this is what happened the first I saw you" said Blitzo as it was true "See that? That is the power of the crystal" said Bella recognizing the powers the soldiers were in awe at the miracle the stone did for the owl "I knew it, I knew there was something special about your necklace!" Said Blitzo enjoying the feeling of falling as Stolas held him tight and close as she looked at her stone but smile at how Blitzo had protected him and was happy to had done the same as they floated down into the deeper part of the abandoned mining town. "The necklace will let us down nice and easy" said Blitzo as they floated down deeper into the abandoned mine area.
"Boys I want that crystal!" Said Bella as the soldiers fired on sight as Bella and her boys ran off to retreat as the soldiers continued to attack as the group ran into the old tunnels to avoid damage "Its amazing, fantastic incredible I must have that crystal!" Said Bella as she and her boys continued to run fleeing from the army as they destroyed the mine as meanwhile outside the plane still spies observing bellow
Back with Blitzo and Stolas they managed to reach the bottom of the abandoned mines the glow of the crystal giving light to the darkness as Blitzo landed first as he pulled out a lantern to light the way once the crystal deactivated as the crystal dimmed as Stolas gasped "Its going out…" he whispered "What just a minute" said Blitzo as the light went out..but lit his lantern making it glow bright as he held it close as he and Stolas studied the gem "I guess your necklace must come to life whenever your in trouble" said Blitzo looking at the path where they fell from "Wow that is a long way up" said Blitzo which was true "I hope they're alright your boss and and that nice train engineer" said Stolas worried for the kind people who helped her and Blitzo "All my freinds are miners they can take care of themselves wouldn't worry about them if I were you" said Blitzo with confidence on the others "Come on Stolas lets go" said Blitzo Stolas held him close as they went down a tunnel "This has been a mining town as long as I anyone can remember most of these tunnels aren't even used anymore" said Blitzo as they saw down a tunnel a small lake due to years of disuse as they soon took a break near a small cave river near sheer rock like cliffs as Blitzo pulled out the egg and bread half "Here you go" said Blitzo as Stolas took the half "Thank you I'm glad you brought some food I'm starving" said Stolas as Blitzo pulled out a green apple and some candy "And for dessert I've got a green apple and some candy" said Blitzo "Really? You know that bag of yours must be magic its always got what we needed" he said as Blitzo bit into the half as he only got an egg…as he ate it down as they both giggled at that.
As Stolas enjoyed his half as they both enjoyed eating together in the lit of the lantern "Stolas where exactly do you come from?" Asked Blitzo curious "I come from Pride deep in the northern mountains I used to live there with my parents and they were very happy
(Flashback)
It shows the beautiful mountain range
Stolas voice: but when my mother and father died my family butler Sebastian watched over me but I was alone.
Shows several hell cows lead out by Stolas with a bucket
The only thing that kept me going was the farm and taking care of my animals
But one day everything changed that was the day the men came and took me away
Narrated Stolas as it shows Andrephelus and his soldiers as Stolas saw them in the distance
(End Flashback)
"Whoa wait a minute! You mean they kidnapped you?" Asked Blitzo as they enjoyed there apples "Yes" said Stolas "It was that wolf sinner in the dark glasses?" As Stolas nodded "I wonder who that guy is?" Akesd Blitzo and what he is doing with the army?" Asked Blitzo confused "He was working with a bird like sinner that was a blue peacock" said Stolas thinking about Andrephelus as Bltzo chewed on the apple "You know what I think? I think Bella and that peacock you mentioned are both after your necklace" said Blitzo "I think your right but I had no idea was so increadabley powerful" said Stolas looking at his necklace "Its been in my family as long as I can remember father gave it to me before he died and he told me to never show it or give it away to anyone" he said as Blitzo hummed finished his apple and tossed it away "Well we orphans should stick together dont you think?" He asked "I'm really sorry its my fault getting you mixed up in all of this" said Stolas guilty for what has happened as Blitzo grinned "Are you kidding? This is the most exciting thing thats ever happened to Me I wouldn't miss an adventure like this for anything in the world" he said as Stolas giggled at that.
As they enjoyed each other company a figure walked up to them as Blitzo got defensive ready to protect Stolas from who was gonna attack and protect Stolas as they saw it was a winged cat like sinner carrying a backpack of tools as he studied the two "Are you some sort of grimlin come to torment me here?" He asked as Blitzo calmed down grinning "Its uncle Husk, dont worry he's a freind Uncle Husk!" Said Blitzo waving the sinner over as he gave Stolas the lantern as he ran over "Uncle Husk! Boy I am glad to see you" he said "I cant see you as the time her caused my faded eyes grimlin but you sound like Blitzo and if this ancient yes if these old eyes dont deceive me there is a bird grimlin with you" said Husk "There are pirates chasing us Uncle Husk (Husk hummed) "Ad the army right between them" he said as Husk chuckled "That sounds aboslutly splendid" he said as he became a guid to help the two through the tunnels to a camp where he made tea and some supper as Blitzo gathered water for him "The tea is ready help yourself" said Husk "Thank you this is great" said Stolas taking a cup as Blitzo sat near them "Dont you get lonely down here underground uncle Husk" asked Stolas as husk chuckled "Never young one all of these rocks are my freinds they often talk to me ever since last night they've been especially restless." Said Husk looking around along with Stolas and Blitzo who were curious "The rocks talk to you?" Asked Blitzo as Husk nodded "Oh yes Blitzo the earth speaks to all of us and if we listen we can understand" he said as Blitzo and Stolas looked around in silence at the cave as Husk chuckled as he took the lantern "The rocks speak in a very small voice" he said gently blowing out the lantern shrouding them in darkness.
However in darkness something glowed in the dark a soft familiar glow "oh my" said Stolas as at his feet in the veins there were glowing a light pink to dark pink in splotches on the ground and in the corner were more of those yellow-pink crystals glowing in the dark bathing everyone in a glow "Amazing" said Blitzo in awe "Blitzo look above us" said Stolas as Blitzo did and was in awe "Wow" he said as above the cave it was like a night sky of cosmos and stars but underground "It was just a hunk of rock a while ago" said Blitzo in awe "Oh my" said Stolas in awe.
"THe answer lies inside these rocks let me show you" said Husk as he took a stone and with a hammer broke it showing inside a glowing stone but it fazed "Blitzo did you see?" Asked Stolas in awe "All these rocks around here contain a bit of Asmodus crystals" said Husk breaking another rock "Really?" Asked Blitzo curious as Husk broke another rock showing more of the Asmodus crystal "Mankind once knew how to mine asmodus crystals but no longer" he said as the rock faded as Stolas realized something "Wait" he said as he took out his necklace around his neck as it was glowing "Look my stones glowing…" he said as Husk eyes widened "Well bless my soul! Thats a pure Asmodus crystal *reaches out* there hasn't been one before the first sinners came to hell no wonder the rocks were restless" said Husk "This stone possesses incredible power" said Stolas "Legend has it that only the Goitia of the floating city of Laputa knew how to make such crystals" said Husk "They made this crystal?" Asked Stolas curious "They used asmodus crystals to make Laputa float in the sky" said Husk as Blitzo was amazed "I knew Laputa wasnt just made up you see Stolas! Just like my dad said" said Blitzo excited but Husk hummed silent as if scared "What's the matter?" Asked Blitzo worried "I'm sorry but would you put that crystal away? Its to strong to me" Asked Husk worried as Stoles obeyed hiding it under his shirt "Oh sorry" he said
"What is it uncle Husk?" Asked Blitzo worried as Husk lit the lantern canceling the glowing cave "Exhaling" a old Hellhound who helped me out used to tell me that the rocks became restless when Laputa appears over the mine" he said as that made the two were in awe "Wow! So that must mean Laputa over the mine right now! *Gently takes Stolas hands* Listen Stolas now I can prove that the legend is true!" Said Blitzo seeing the chance "Stolas I must tell you something" said Husk "Yes what is it?" Asked Stolas curious "That crystal is extremely powerful but with a power that rightfully belongs to the earth from which it came to forget that and to try and use the crystals power for selfish reasons will grab unhappiness you understand?" Asked Husk as Stolas nodded "Yes" said Stolas.
"Your crystal should remind us that we come from the earth and to the earth we must return and soon to the great tapestry" said Husk "Come on it saved me and Stolas two times already that crystal has gotten Stolas out of some really big trouble and I have a feeling that crystal gonna help us find Laputa" said Blitzo with confidence to find the castle in the sky even though there was risk due to the power of the crystal and two sides wanting the crystal for there own reasons.
Authors note: Looks like there maybe deeper meaning to the crystal and the connection they may have to Laputa
Next chapter Blitzo and Stolas work to keep away from the pirates and army, but wind up getting caught by the army as Stolas meets with Andrephelus the army leader.
