I need to kill what to get a time travel coupon? Chapter 6

AN: Welcome back everyone, and I hope you will all enjoy reading this chapter, especially since we're arriving at Westeros in this one. A few things to note before we start off, firstly I thank everyone who posts reviews and follows/likes the story, gives some more motivation and also helps us know if we're on the right track or not. And I wish to apologize for how long it has been since I posted previously, the past year and a half has been a tumultuous time for me. Secondly, the disclaimer before I forget it:

The author does not own anything of Game of Thrones except copies of several of the books, and only has a tiny amount of stock in Disney, as such he also doesn't own star wars. This is a non-profit story written for the enjoyment of both the author and the readers.

.

Roughly the moment the last chapter left off, still at the airstrip

.

As the two children rush toward Lawrence with an uttered ''Uncle!'' and he chuckles as he catches the both of them in a strong hug, with his sister and brother in law approaching behind them, Ahsoka and Anakin walk over towards their old friends. Rex is there to say goodbye to them, with Fives and Echo there armoured up, presumably to join them on the journey to Westeros. As Ashoka nears them she grabs Fives, giving him a hug before giving one to Echo as Anakin moves in behind and hugs all three of them to himself for a moment.

Afterwards he steps back and gives a smile to Rex while clapping him on his shoulder as Ahsoka quickly catches up with the two of them ''Thank you for assigning them to this Rex, it will be good for all of us to catch up again and they certainly deserve to have a bit of enjoyment travelling the world after what they went through back during the war.''

Rex gives him a smile ''No problem sir, I felt the same way and as much as I trust all my brothers with my life, it is good to have people who you personally know are extremely capable assisting you all in Westeros. Especially with one of them being good at investigation to work through the falsehoods the Chancellor put up around the chips, since from what they told us the place is a viper pit almost as unscrupulous as the senate.'' He sees Anakin raise an eyebrow at him ''No offense intended towards your wife sir.''

Anakin chuckles ''Oh I know, she would probably agree with you on that topic. I had to listen to her talking about all the stupidity and treachery in there often enough to know that you hit that nail on the head.'' He is visibly thinking for a moment ''Out of the hundreds of senators she personally knew and spoke to me about she only had good things to say about a bit more than a dozen of them, for all the others she would have been willing to dance on their graves if she could get away with it.''

The two share a chuckle at that mental image before Anakin straightens himself up slightly and continues ''But back to more serious business, are you sure you can handle things on your own for a while? Even if paperwork is limited compared to back during the war due to the simple fact of there not being a bureaucratic organisation to report to, you will still have a lot to manage with the day to day running of everything.''

Rex shakes his head ''As long as an invasion of sorts doesn't happen I'll be fine. And even if that were to happen with the additional satellites coming online soon we should be more easily able to find out about hostile movements long ahead of them actually arriving anywhere important, leaving them easy prey while on the move. So you focus on doing general Kenobi proud and negotiating your way out of trouble instead of your personal brand of negotiations, sir.''

Apparently Ahsoka, fives and Echo had been partially listening in because the unified 'Yes please.' can be heard from all three of them, causing Anakin to look faux betrayed and hold a hand to his heart for a few moments before grumbling at them ''If you're all done enough to unify against your general in betrayal, board the damn gunships.'' Then he turns towards a still smiling Rex and gives him a clap on the shoulder ''And you, you certainly took on the wrong things from me and Ahsoka over our time together.''

At which point he gives him a short hug, before Ahsoka comes over and gives Rex a hug as well ''We'll keep in contact Rex, and call us immediately if you need us, none of that 'I can handle it perfectly fine' while the world is going up in flames around you that Skyguy often does.'' Both have a small smile as a 'Hey!' comes from the mentioned individual ''Take care and stay safe Rex.''

Of the three ships, one is filled mostly with communications equipment and some other goods to trade to the locals in the negotiations and as a sign of goodwill, such as crate with small sacks and pots with various spices. The second contains most of the troopers and a majority of their rations while the last contains Anakin, Ahsoka, Fives, Echo and Lawrence's family. All also have a spare pilot in case of emergencies, with Anakin fulfilling that role for his ship.

After having flown for a while and caught up with their old friends, Ahsoka signals Anakin and the two of them move the slight distance towards the family instead. ''It is good to see the four of you again, especially now that your leg seems mostly healed and you kids have had a few good meals again. No large lingering issues?'' As Anakin asks, he gets small smiles in reply before their aunt hugs both children as she replies with a 'luckily not'.

Ahsoka smiles at this and aims her attention to the two children specifically ''Are the two of you excited to see the homeland of your fathers, aunt and uncles side of the family?'' As the teenagers nod happily in response to her, she smiles before continuing ''It is going to be a long flight before we get there though, and with all that time on our hands, we can do some training.''

The two share a look with their guardians and uncle, who both nodd, and then turn back to the two jedi excitedly ''Yes, I want to be able to throw away bad guys, just like big sis did before you found us!'' All the adults outwardly smile while said big sister blushes as her younger brother gushes over how awesome her defending them was, though in the back of their minds the children's aunt and uncles feel horrible as they remember how close the happy boy was to dying while captive.

Anakin smiles at him, seeing a large resemblance to how he reacted when he first started learning about the force ''Shall we quickly refresh what we told you about the force last time?'' the two nod, though seemingly slightly disappointed to hear theory again instead of going to practice immediately as he continues ''Okay, so as I said before the force is something pretty much every living being has going through their body to some degree. However only some have enough strength with it that they can actually use it to actively influence the world around them, like so.''

As he gives a practical example, by floating up a small fruit in front of their eyes, before floating it down to Ahsoka takes over ''However there are some dangers involved in using the force this way, especially with little to no training, so the first lesson we impart on you is to only use it in emergencies or if either of us is near you until you have had a lot more experience and training with it.''

As most teenagers, upon being told that the cool thing they just started learning more about is something they can only occasionally use they look less than happy. This goes away fairly quickly and is replaced by focus instead as Ahsoka starts explaining the best way to calm yourself and options for meditation to get a better control and understanding about the force.

After roughly two hours of this, though not very fruitful on the meditation front, but laying a decent bit of groundwork nonetheless, they end it. By this point the children can be seen to get both somewhat exhausted and annoyed at the pace of their learning, with the adults all exchanging knowing glances when hearing grumbles of 'Why this instead of learning how to throw things..'. Anakin then gets the signal from the pilot as they land for a moment and goes to the front to replace the pilot, so that they can switch again in a few hours so that both him and the clone pilot are still well rested enough once they arrive in Westeros.

While this happens, the children start inquiring about all the things Ahsoka has seen out there in the galaxy, and she recounts a story involving a Wookie apprentice, which makes the children ask about what a Wookie is. Both the children and adults listen intrigued, while the clones onboard look on while having small talk between themselves, halfway listening in on the conversation and chuckling at some of the antics Jedi apprentices get up to.

A few hours more pass by before Anakin wakes requests Fives to wake up the pilot and they switch places again, though now they are closing in on the approach to mainland Westeros as they can see several fishing boats below them. As discussed beforehand, they would land some distance away from the city of White Harbour, to make sure it didn't turn into a battle the moment they tried landing.

As we start hovering near the ground and the door opens Anakin and Ahsoka jump out, sabres in hand with the clone troopers aiming their rifles. Lawrence following shortly behind them, sword in hand as he looks around before after a few moments the troopers announce a clear signal as it is obvious nobody is nearby, either not having been so or having fled the moment they heard or saw the gunships approaching. They are standing on a road, and Lawrence looks down at the ground for a moment ''Honestly, half a year ago I felt like I would never again see the Kings road, let alone as the leader of a people. But here we are.''

After a few moments of organizing themselves the group is now in a formation, the platoon of clone troopers at the sides and back, with Anakin, and Lawrence at the front with the latter's family and a hooded Ahsoka in the middle of their formation as they march towards the city in the distance. Once they start getting closer, they are met by a small group of outriders ''Halt in the name of House Manderly and his Grace Robert Baratheon, who goes there.'' While the entire group gets some looks, a large portion of those are aimed at the woman with the big cloak as he catches a glimpse of orange skin through it. Anakin steps forward ''My name is Anakin Skywalker, Jedi Knight and General of the Galactic Republic. With me are the Chancellor of the League of Golden Fields, Lawrence Waters,'' he points towards Lawrence before moving onward pointing his hand with each name mentioned ''my second in command lady Ahsoka Tano, with her the immediate Rochefort family and our loyal troopers to act as guards on our dangerous journey. A pleasure to meet you, and who might you be?''

The knight looks at him for a moment before replying ''I am Ser Ferdinand Manderly, a knight in service to my lordly cousin whom rules our great city of White Harbour in the name of Lord Paramount Eddard Stark and King Robert Baratheon.'' He looks them over ''But where exactly did you come from if I may ask, after all White Harbour here is the largest port in the area, and if you truly came all the way from the Golden Fields region in Essos, you would need quite a sizable ship or a small fleet to safely make the journey.'' He gives Lawrence a lookover ''In addition to how someone from the Crownlands of Westeros became the leader of it.''

Anakin smiles at the man ''Well we got here on a gunship, a flying machine,'' he can see the disbelief in the other mans eyes ''Understandably you do not fully believe me, that is no issue since I can call the ship up to our position, though the portion to Lawrence's identity is his tale to tell instead.'' He turns on his radio ''General Skywalker to lieutenant Jack, General Skywalker to Lieutenant Jack, do you copy?''

With the knight and the Men at Arms behind him looking surprised at the strange interaction their faces then show the shock of hearing the reply from the wrist device ''This is Lieutenant Jack, I do copy General. What are you orders?'' One of the Men at Arms starts muttering something and making an unknown religious gesture, while the others keep staring. Anakin turns towards Ferdinand ''Could you inform the guards to not shoot when they see our gunship?'' This rouses Ferdinand from his shock, who now quickly sends one of his men back to inform those manning the wall.

Anakin then turns back towards his radio ''Lieutenant Jack, feel free to approach at a sedate speed, locals have been informed but might react instinctively.'' The order is acknowledged and the radio goes quiet. The area returns to a silence as well for a minute or so, however it is clear that Ferdinand is readying himself to ask more questions. ''Ser Ferdinand, I am sure you have many questions, but I wish to first show my proof, afterwards I can explain the situation as a whole and answer any questions before you and whatever authorities in the city is willing to see me on such short notice, hopefully your cousin included. But we did not send notice in advance, so it is understandable if he cannot spare his time.''

Shortly after Anakin finishes his sentence, a low sound can be heard over the horizon, that becomes louder as it closes which the visitors recognize as the approach of the gunships, but the locals look around searching for the source. After a few moments more, one points into the sky, and there in the distance the approaching gunships can be seen, for now only as dots in the distance. ''That'll be them.'' A while later the gunships have approached, with two staying high up in the air while one goes to hover near the group.

Anakin smiles at the knight in front of him ''So Ser Ferdinand, do you believe me now?'' he gets a nod in response ''Good, now do we have permission to enter the city to meet with whomever has the time to meet us?''

Ferdinand shakes off his surprise before nodding again followed by ''Ser Skywalker I will lead you to my cousins keep, he should be free to meet you shortly after arrival.'' He turns in the saddle to another of the Men at Arms and sends him to go to the keep, before dismounting his own horse and handing the reigns to one of his men so he can lead the group on foot towards the keep. A few questions are asked, but the answers given only bring up more questions among those hearing them, so after a bit he stops asking them and waits for a full explanation at the keep.

.

New Keep, White Harbour

.

They are greeted in the courtyard of the keep by one of the heaviest and widest humans the group had ever seen, though far slimmer and more mobile than any Hutt Anakin or Ahsoka had ever met. This time however, Lawrence does the talking ''Greetings Lord Manderly, my name is Lawrence Waters, Chancellor of the League of the Golden fields. With me are General Anakin Skywalker, the leader of our armies,'' he points to Anakin, who nods his head and gives a salute. ''Commander Ahsoka Tano, his second in command,'' the hooded Ahsoka nods slightly and gives a similar salute, though her face isn't truly visible yet ''my sister Henrietta Rochefort and her husband, formerly Harold Arryn, but currently Harold Rochefort.'' As he moves down the group he gets a few visible reactions from Lord Manderly and his family ''With them are my niece and nephew, Alyssa and Aerion Rochefort. And following behind are the best soldiers our League has to offer, the Clone Troopers.''

The Lord Manderly smiles at them ''Welcome to my keep, please do partake in bread and salt.'' A servant walks up with a plate with slices of bread and some salt on it, and the guests all partake in the gesture. ''I am Wyman Manderly, lord of White Harbour and vassal to Lord Paramount Eddard Stark and his Grace Robert Baratheon. Is it acceptable for your troops and the children to stay here and enjoy my hospitality with my son and his wife while we move to my Solar for a more private discussion?''

As he is saying this said son and his wife walk up to them, Anakin and Ahsoka exchange some glances with Lawrence and the two Rochefort adults, and after a few moments Harold moves back with the children to stand more with the clone troopers, while Henrietta and Ahsoka move up to follow the lord Manderly up to his Solar. Once the door closes there Wyman looks at them. ''So, now that we are in a more private area, is it possible for Lady Tano to remove the hood of her robe, so that I can figure out just what could be something you try to keep secret rather than appearance of two children whom are very obviously of either Targaryen or Blackfire heritage.''

With some amusement Ahsoka is the one that replies ''Oh I will lord Wyman, but I think you might understand in a second.'' As she lowers the hood and he can see her face he stares at the face of the very obviously not human woman. ''Before any issue arises, no I'm not some demon from the seven hells. I am a Togruta from the planet of Shili, commander in the Grand Army of the Republic and a Jedi Knight, former apprentice of General Skywalker. We and our army came to this planet from the stars, and are stuck on it along with you likely for the remainder of our lives. As part of the proof we bring advanced technologies, including both long range communication and Ships that Sail the skies.''

Wyman is still looking at her from his chair, while Ferdinand has his hand on his blade and the as of yet not introduced lady Manderly is seemingly praying to the Seven. ''I'll give your word the benefit of the doubt for now on that one, considering you already partook in bread and salt in addition to you not having shown any aggressive action so far. However, now more than ever, I wish to know how a bastard from the Crown Lands came to lead a nation that includes soldiers that have sailed among the stars as we do the seas.''

As the tale that Anakin and Ahsoka heard upon their early meeting is told again, with occasional questions for clarifications or details answered, Anakin can only think in the back of his head 'This went a lot better than expected considering our track record for these kinds of situations.' After the explanation is given, and then Anakin and Ahsoka pitch in occasionally to tell the tale of what happened from after they arrived here Lord Wyman has a long look in his face.

He sighs and turns slightly to his wife, the two exchanging a look and she nods, before he turns towards his cousin, and the three have a short but definitive silent communication that can be sensed through the force. He then turns back towards his visitors ''Firstly, let my offer my condolences to you Ser Skywalker, and you Lady Ahsoka, for your misfortune in likely never seeing your families again.'' They nod, but Anakin feels a stab in his heart, a reminder of how he will likely not see his wife again, and even if he will it won't be the Padme he had lived and loved with.

Ahsoka has a similar pain, though slightly more muted as she had already mourned all those lost to her now, and having many of the men she had been forced to see die, some against her after order 66 once again alive and well doing much to mitigate the sorrow. So as she feels Anakin's pain, she shares a comforting touch through the force, reminding him of those he still has.

While this is going on Wyman has turned towards Lawrence and Henrietta ''And as long as you and your niece and nephew openly declare to renounce any right to the throne once you meet Lord Stark and once again in Kings Landing the Iron Throne shouldn't care about any of this. Especially if you manage to convince Lord Stark, considering his closeness to the King. I will host your party, and we shall dine in my hall, however I do request for you to take Ferdinand with you to meet Lord Stark. Sadly enough I cannot sign any detailed trade agreements until I am certain that you will have gained at least neutral relations in both Winterfell and Kings Landing.''

Lawrence exchanges a short look with Anakin and Ahsoka before replying ''That is more than agreeable, and thank you for the advice milord. As a sign of our thanks, we would like to install a small radio system somewhere in your great city, so that you can communicate far more easily with both us and any other lord in Westeros that allows for their installation.'' Having heard of their radio's in the tale just now a gleam appears in Wyman's eyes.

''Radio's, that were those devices that you used to communicate with your flying ship that Ferdinand told me about, correct?'' at the nod in return he looks between the trio for a moment before settling back on Lawrence ''That sounds like a very generous gift, almost instantaneous communication with other cities, especially for a trading hub such as our great city. However, are you certain you have the time to install such a device and get it working before you intend to leave for Winterfell?'' Lawrence now steps back to let Anakin take the word here.

''It will be fairly easy to install before we leave, and we will leave behind a trained operator to assist both in usage and to train any future local operators. I can personally perform the installation and walk you through the process as it is happening in fact lord Manderly. As for our schedule on when to leave...'' The discussion veers off and shortly after they follow the Manderlies into the Great Hall, where they and their troops are the centre of attention among the people. It is a night full of feast and revelry, after some initial hesitation. Though as expected Ahsoka takes up much of said attention, not only for being a non-human, but almost as much for her position as a lady knight and female commander of soldiers, as it was unheard of anywhere in the world outside of the North and Dorne, and even there it was the exception instead of the rule. So to hear of any other society to have women in such positions was interesting to those in the hall.

There was some grumbling among a portion of the local clergy of the Seven about her, but even that was a minority compared to the interest, with many likening it to meeting one of the Children of the Forest, especially after learning that she was likely the only of her people on the entire world. Another point of interest about the group was how similar their soldiers were to each other, this being explained away by the visitors as all of them being related to each other through the bloodline of Jango Fett, whose features were dominant in almost all of his descendants.

However these were early days, and many among the group worried if it would remain like this once the initial curiosity about them and their situation abated. For curiosity often only remains for a short while, but hate on a topic can stay for centuries and often only grows. And especially with the less than positive attitude from the Seven Who Are One towards magic, it would be a great worry on how the people would react in the long run to not only an army led by two people who have such powers once that information spreads, but with most of said army essentially born from what to many would seem as 'magic'. After all, forty or even double that number of men born from the same family all serving together is one thing, and something that could happen with a particularly martial and fruitful family. Over ten thousand of them serving together, especially all on one ship, would be far less likely to be an accepted factor to the masses.

.

Following day

.

Anakin is pulling a wire through the tube with the force, now getting it into his hand, as lord Manderly watches. As he grabs it he drags it closer to the large radio set put out on the table and connects it in the back ''And with that there should now also be a physical connection to the satellite dish on the roof. With this, we should now be able to connect to the collective radio broadcasts and start calls with our operators back in the League of the Golden Fields.'' As he says this he flips a switch before turning a dial, selecting a radio frequency and they can hear violin music. ''Ah, there is the classical music, I thought this might be a type of music somewhat familiar to Westeros?''

The older heavy lord nods his head as he listens ''It does sound good, and somewhat similar to a decently skilled troubadour working a lyre or mandolin.'' After a few moments he looks at the radio in surprise ''I shouldn't be surprised, but I find that I am. Not only can you communicate over long range with this device, but also send out the music made in a far different location?'' Anakin nods once more as the lord chuckles ''Are you trying to put both Ravens and Troubadours out of a job perhaps?''

Anakin chuckles in response as he stands up and cleans his hands with a small towel provided by a servant ''No lord Wyman, not only is this only available to hear with a radio here, it also provides various musicians a chance to show off their craft to a wider audience, who are as such more interested in listening to them in person. As a consequence it allows places to judge artists on the quality of their work instead of just work of mouth before hiring them. While it will certainly shift the market, there were still many musicians in the Republic, quite possibly more comparatively than there are here. So they do not have to fear us destroying their jobs, for the factor of allowing people to listen to music more easily also leads to them wanting more of it and more variety in it.''

The Myrman nods as he looks at the radio set that has just now finished playing the tune, before it starts giving a rough weather report, with apparently a high chance of rain in the evening at Libertas ''Similar to how more availability of a new type of wine doesn't automatically destroy the market, but might just spark more interest in wine in general.'' Anakin nods in response ''Well let us hope that such a thing also happens here, it is always good to have a bit of variety in music.'' He shakes his head in amusement before returning to the conversation ''You said there would be a trained operator for the device, who might that be?''

Anakin nods and starts up the radio on his arm ''Sergeant Jordy, could you get down to the radio room for introductions and bring your two fellows with you.'' A few minutes and some small talk between the two of them later as they listen to the radio Jordy gets down there with his two subordinates. They salute Anakin, who returns the gesture before he turns back to Lord Wyman Manderly. ''These three will remain here, sergeant Jordy,'' the lead man takes off his helmet, showing off a mostly bald head with only some hair on the sides of it. ''Is the one that will be in charge of them, with the other two functioning both as replacement operators in case he experiences complications in regards to his health and to support each other if other issues pop up.''

Taking note of the man, lord Wyman shakes the mans hand before he turns back to Anakin and asks about their plans for the journey to Winterfell. Shortly after that the discussion ends, and Anakin leaves to deal with a few minor issues while Wyman and Jordy remain behind to discuss the situation about Jordies new duties.

While Anakin is dealing with this inside the keep, Ahsoka is in a courtyard doing a training exercise, where after a while one of the teenagers, most likely a squire, walks up to her, clearly prodded into doing so by his friends after they watched her go through some training kata's. ''Milady, I've been told you're a knight of some sort, but just what are those kind of weapons you're wielding, none of us have ever seen anything like it.''

She twirls around the lightsabre in her right hand as she turns to look at the young man while turning the one in her left hand off and clipping it to her belt ''It's as you can probably guess a form of sword, to simplify it a lot the 'blade' you are seeing is so hot it can melt through most forms of armour and weaponry fairly quickly.'' He and the quite clearly listening in group of youngsters behind him look at her weapon in surprise with a few going so far as having their mouths gaping open in disbelief at the news they're just been told.

One of the men to the side however scoffs, seemingly a fairly well off knight ''I dunno what the quality of metal used in most weapons and armour is like from where you are from lady, but anything hot enough to melt castle forged steel in active combat would also melt that fancy hilt your blade is coming from in short order.''

She turns to him with a raised eyebrow ''Are you truly certain about that? Certain enough to bet the safety of a piece of castle forged steel equipment and make a friendly wager?'' He looks as if he's considering for a moment before whispering with the man next to him and after a few moments of furious whispers he turns back to her. She is still looking at him questioningly, while almost the entire courtyard is by now looking on, with only a sparse number even trying to hide said interest.

''My friend here knows that they are about to start reforging some pieces of equipment damaged in the battles of the Rebellion, I'm sure they wouldn't mind us testing out the truth of your statement on it if I pay them enough to compensate for any further damages. As for the wager, depends on what the wager is exactly.'' He gets a smirk in reply from the Togruta as she looks around the courtyard.

''I'm interested in seeing how well my fighting style translates to wielding two blades of metal and I'd like to be able to practice fighting without having to be so careful of burning someone, so if I win the bet I'd like to get a pair of blunted steel swords.'' The knight looks at her, raising his eyebrow as if asking 'And what if I win the bet?' as Ahsoka replies to the unanswered question. ''If you win the bet I'll give you this small sack of spices, have you ever heard of black pepper?'' She pulls the aforementioned small sack of pepper from her belt before throwing it at him, he looks it through and then quickly nods.

In his mind, it was a more than fair wager, he honestly felt he was ripping her off in return, after all, even such a small sack good quality black pepper was worth about equal to a set of blunted training swords. And there was almost no way in his mind for the heat to burn through their armour completely in a small enough number of strikes to count for this wager. After all, if it could, those hilts would have to be made of something equal to or stronger than Valyrian steel to keep in proper enough shape for the weapon to keep working. He figured it would still be a problem if hit while you were wearing it, after all the heat would get through similar to how a strong hammer blow hurt even if blocked by armour, but the amour itself shouldn't have too much of a problem.

Ten minutes and many hushed whispering around the courtyard later, a chest plate with several dents and a visible hole on its left side, a mail shirt and a gambeson jacket are brought out, with a training dummy then quickly being dressed in the armour. The now fully armoured training dummy is brought to the centre of the courtyard as a number of the men make smaller bets, for a few copper stars, with the majority of the ones in favour of the lightsabre going through being from the clones that had seen it in action, only remaining so low bets as they had little in the way of local money to speak of.

She walks up to the armour setup and slashes into the side, and while it gives more resistance than expected, for a civilization without advanced industry this is high quality steel. It is still over and she is through fast enough that it barely slows her movement down, let alone enough resistance to outright stop her. A door of steel this quality would take a while to burn through, but armour, where you only need a small entry to get in? There the resistance is minimal. It probably would give a decent amount of resistance to lower quality blasters like those used by droids in the Clone Wars. The heat would still mean the target would be wounded, depending on the location hit possibly fairly badly at that, but they would survive, which for an armour made without knowledge that rifles existed was a good achievement.

But still, to a lightsabre it was just a thin sheet of regular metal, like most things. She turned from observing the target dummy to the man that had been so confident not even twenty minutes earlier ''So, when can I pick out the blunted steel?'' The courtyard is silent for a moment in reply, besides the man's slight sputtering as they all watch the spot where her blade went through the armour.

The silence is broken by a blacksmith, as he approaches, takes a good look and states ''Both the plate and chainmail have been broken through by the heat sword, with the gambeson underneath also mostly burned through. Lady Tano has won the bet, and Ser Reinhart Maplewood shall have to pay up his side of the bet.'' Reinhart moves over to check the armour himself, sees the damage and gives a resigned sigh.

''Yeah, I'll admit defeat, that is a pretty good burn. Come on, lets get you those blunted swords.'' In the courtyard meanwhile, the audience starts overcoming their shock at the sight, with the Clone Troopers quickly collecting their winnings from the bet.

An hour and a half later, she has her new swords, somewhat similar in size and shape to her usual weaponry, but with a far greater weight and a lesser speed as a result. She starts training with them, trying to get used to the various differences, and seeing what works with them from her usual style. A few hours into that, as she is taking a short break from the exercise, she gets her first challenger. It is a squire that has decided she should be an easy fight for him to show victory over the foreigners, and prove his strength to his peers and knight.

A few minutes later after they have managed to find a gambeson that fits her well enough for use in duels and after the fight has started, it truly was an easy fight, with him lying on the ground on his front. Her boot on his neck and a sword at the back of his head within at most eight seconds. She gets a few more challengers, now taking her seriously, while from the sides the troopers cheer her on, before they go and mingle with the remainder of the audience. Small conversations starting between them and the locals, as they watch the spars.

This is how Anakin finds her half an hour later, after he has searched half the castle for her, with Fives collecting bets as various knights try their luck beating her. The current one is on the backfoot, barely managing to block a strike with his shield as she parries his blow from the other side. However, then she manages a feint, a low strike from the right that he puts full focus on only for a stab up high from the light to go over his shield, and lightly tap his face. ''Do you yield?''

She gets a nod from the man as he sheaths his sword, before she notices Anakin is back while a few men give Fives some more copper stars, with him grinning as he adds them to his by now quite a bit fuller pouch. She heads over to him and smiles, though by now her tiredness can be seen ''Hey Skyguy, how did the installation go?'' She gets an amused smile in response, as he takes a look around the courtyard for a moment first before turning his attention back on her.

''The installation went well enough, and so far Wyman seems pleased with the radio, both as a communication device and the factor of having something able to send out music on hand. So good initial impressions up top, how about your part with the knights and Men-At-Arms here?''

She smiles in response to him and waves her hand to gesture to the audience, where the Clone troopers are mixed in with said knights and men-at-arms, with a few blacksmiths and servants mingling in between as well. ''So far, also positive here. Managed to impress the quality of our equipment on them, in addition to my own skill through beating a number of challengers in spars even with weapons that I was clearly not very used to after only a few hours of practice with the difference in weight.''

After a few minutes more of small talk, he wishes her good luck, he had hoped to spar with her himself but before he could he had to leave as a servant came running up about some issues and questions the lord Wyman had. A bit later, Ahsoka got challenged again, to another match. This time it's a young man at arms roughly her height, wielding a one sided axe with a small shield, called a buckler locally, in his offhand.

They move to stand against one another, with him moving defensively, cautiously approaching her. He tries to hit down, she parries the axe with her offhanded blade, while moving out of the way and slashing her main blade towards his chest, barely being blocked by the shield. This continues for a bit, with her testing her opponent and him trying to keep up, and for now succeeding. After half a dozen more exchanges though, she has a rough measure of him and she goes full on the offensive, rushing forward, batting away his reactionary axe blow with her off hand blade, all the while feinting a direct slash to his thigh with her main, before quickly shifting the blade upwards at the last moment after he's committed his buckler and ending with her sword at his neck before he can bring his buckler back up.

A decent training bout, though the man knew his basics well he was not very experienced in actually fighting someone, especially not someone with two weapons rather than a shield and spear or shield and sword. Afterwards she gives him a few tips, before she spends some time talking with a few of the more experienced knights and the local Master-At-Arms to get some tips on how to train groups of people in the use of things like spears, axes and knives. After all, they'll soon need to give refreshers to the clones in how to use melee weapons as backups and train the local garrisons of their towns to actually fight as a proper frontline army.

.

?, Lord Paramount Eddard Stark

.

The sun harshly burning down upon them, they ride through the desert towards the ruined walls and lone still good tower in the distance. They can see the two men in armour marching out to meet them. He and his party dismount and march closer, the two knights moving to oppose them. He signals to his men, and they form up. As they walk closer he gets a warning, a signal from his Wolfsblood, and as it has so far not proven him wrong in battle he moves slightly differently, now more opposite the Sword of the Morning rather than Hightower, while those that loyally followed him here oppose Hightower.

The blood quiets a bit, no longer warning as harshly of the deaths of his companions, though it now has far more warnings for danger to himself. Then the two get close enough, and Arthur Dayne stabs his sword into the ground as the two groups meet. ''Lord Stark.'' Is the greeting he gets from the man.

''I looked for you on the Trident.'' As he makes the observation, he looks them up and down, his blood starting to pump while worry about his sister stays with him. ''But you weren't there.''

Hightower replies instead of Dayne to that ''Your friend the Usurper would lie beneath the ground if we had been.''

It might have been true, he acknowledges as he continues ''The mad king is dead, Rheagar lies beneath the ground. Why weren't you there to protect your Prince..''

''Our Prince wanted us here.'' There is silence for a moment as he looks up at the lone still whole tower, knowing his sister is likely in there somewhere, though no certainty about just where or how. His resolve that had already been strong, does not falter. The blood roars through his veins as he breaks said silence.

''Where's my sister.''

Instead of answering the statement, Dayne replies with a simple ''I wish you good fortune in the wars to come.'' Both don their helmets and grab their swords as it is followed up with ''And now it begins.''

''No, now it ends.'' As his party draw their weapons and he engages Dayne with Howland Reed moving to support him, only to get quickly thrown away by a slash from the Sword in the Morning. He is pressed hard, barely parrying a slash, moving slightly to dodge a stab, but as the fight goes on, his movements become more natural and seem more and more equal to those of Dayne as the Wolfsblood roars, warning him of likely strikes, his moves growing stronger as the exchange continues.

They exchange dozens of hits, and though it feels like hours he knows well it is something better counted in seconds or minutes at most as they clash, and in spite of the advantage gained from the blood, he knows well that he is not winning. He can hold his ground, he can keep Dayne in place and force him to go all out, but they are in the desert, in Dayne's homeland. And even with the advantages he has in return and the experience gained in battle, Dayne is still a better swordsman, likely the best in the realm.

To the side out of the corner of his eye he can see that the others are gaining on Hightower, however in spite of the old mans predicament he can also see a body on the ground already. Dayne takes advantage of the distraction, even if it lasts only a fraction of a second, and starts pushing him back further, almost cutting the less armoured section of his left hand if it weren't for blaring danger allowing him to barely ram the sword to the side with his armguard and enhanced strength, while desperately parrying away the other blade with Ice one handedly for a moment.

However while he faltered, he does not fall, and he regains his momentum pushing Dayne back as the man has to block with both swords to keep Ice from overwhelming his onehanded defence while taking a step back from the strength behind the Greatsword. The fight continues more, going back and forth for a few more moments, with Valyrian steel clashing with Starmetal as their wielders try finding an opening. Then Howland jumps on Dayne's back and tries to stab him with his dagger, but only giving a slight cut along the man's chin as something has alerted the Sword of the Morning as he rams his armoured elbow into Howlands stomach followed by the pommel of his offhand sword, throwing back the slight man.

Dayne focuses on his friend for a second, trying to finish the Reed off, but in another roar of blood and an actual roar a power pushes out of his hand as he rushes forward. The blast sending the Dayne stumbling back with the beheading cut in the neck on Howland instead turned only a slight cut of the cheek before the blade is slammed out of his hand as he barely manages to position it to stop his arm from being cut off.

Now both armed with only their house's greatest blade, they fight on, though with the Stark in the advantage, as the distraction, facial wound and loss of a blade combined turn the tides in his favour and slowly but surely he manages to inflict more shallow wounds on the Kingsguard, as now the superior strength and reach of his blade start counting more and more with his opponent only having the one blade left to fight it off. Dayne counters a last attack, and manages to cut into a small gap in the plate on his left leg, but against the pain he rams Ice into the blade with full strength, pinning it into the nearby rock as he headbutts the man, throwing him back in pain and finally allowing the Stark to disarm the Dayne, the blade still partially stuck in the rock.

Not giving him a moment to regain the blade or momentum, Ice flashes out and leaves a deep cut in the Dayne's throat, who falls back onto the ground, presumably dead. He quickly assesses Howland, seeing that he's sitting up, very clearly not dead but in pain nonetheless, before he sees the old Hightower falling dead, but not without cost. Theo Wull and Martyn Cassel lie on the ground, likely to be dead, and Ethan Glover is cradling his wounded arm. However in spite of that, in spite of them as a group of seven only facing two he knows it would have likely ended far worse if the others had faced Dayne instead, even with the sheer numerical advantage.

He feels something dripping down his fingers and looks down to his left hand, seeing that Dayne's hit he barely parried with his arm guard earlier broke through both said arm guard and cut through the chain and gambeson beneath it before biting into his flesh. In combination with its ability to survive a fight with a Valyrian sword like Ice intact unlike the second word that has cuts and dents into it show both the quality of the Starmetal blade and the skill of its wielder. He then hears a cry from the tower and rushes towards it, hoping to save his sister.

.

As he sits up in a rush, looking around himself he can see he isn't in the desert any longer, he is not stuck in memory. He is back in Winterfell, many months later, in bed with his lady wife. For all that it was a match of political necessity and the issue of Jon (even as his mind mutters a different name, he ignores it, for the better or worse the boy is his son now and if nothing else he loves the boy as if he was of his own already) he still has grown to care a lot for Caitlyn. He then feels the heat from the room and gets out from under the covers, as for all that he cares for her that doesn't change the fact that some changes had to be made to accommodate her.

He goes to stand at the window, looking out over the castle that was his. He would have greatly preferred for it not to be, for him to be a small lord somewhere, ruling a hamlet or small castle in his brothers name, but he had a duty and a family now, and he would do that duty and love that family. There is a knock on the door and he walks up to it, wondering who could be asking to see them at this time, carefully grabbing a dagger from on top of a cabinet on his way there. As he opens the door, readied for a fight, he sees it is instead his Maester.

''Luwin, what is wrong and why do you visit at this hour?'' As he whispers the question he can hear his wife mummer and turn in her sleep, deciding it to be for the best he steps out and closes the door behind him before turning to the Maester. ''Did someone raid the coast, did one of Targaryan loyalist shipments to the watch revolt?''

The Maester shakes his head frantically ''No milord, a group of foreign envoys has apparently landed at White Harbour and is requesting to meet here.'' He raises a brow at the learned man, as while that is important news, it would take the group at bare minimum more than a week after the arrival of that raven to get here, even if they rode the fastest horses available to said horses deaths to get here and left White Harbour within hours after arriving there. At a less dangerous if still very fast pace with a small group on those same quality horses it would take roughly two weeks instead. ''The thing that is important to note here, is that according to the Maester of White Harbour and lord Manderly they arrived on some kind of flying contraptions, and will leave in those a two days after their arrival, expecting to arrive here within a few hours at the most.''

My eyes go wide calculating that in my head as I look at him, wondering if someone is trying to play a jape on me ''But with it taking almost two days for a Raven from White harbour to arrive here, if this is actually real that means they'll arrive late this morning or in the afternoon.'' The Maester nods his head, clearly having done the same calculus. ''Hand over the letter please.'' He quickly hands it over and as I offhandedly thank the man I read through it.

He was speaking the truth, the message in here was as with all raven messages short, but very clear. 'Foreign envoys from League of Golden Fields received, want to meet with Lord Stark. Will leave for Winterfell two days after arrival, arrived in ships that sail the sky. Claim journey will only take them hours. Ferdinand and guards will go with. So far peaceful.' Ferdinand, that was one of Manderly's cousins and the man that led their heavy infantry during the Rebellion. Good man, thinner than the lord Manderly but still heavy set though more with muscle than fat, an honest man and competent commander.

I look up at Luwin ''Act as if this is true, I'll get the servants to make sure they keep the kitchens ready in case it is for tomorrow, and also have the guards pull double shift for the day get Cassel to run a thorough inspection on their equipment during his rounds. You go and check the larders and see if we have enough for a small feast or if I'd have to send some men on a supply run to the butchers in the morning and out for a hunt to add to it.''

Luwin nods, and I leave for a moment, going back into my room to quickly put on something more presentable before waking Roderick Cassel and informing him of the situation, who gives me his word that he'll be thorough in a few hours. Then I go back to my room, requesting from a few servants to wake me early in a few hours. As I disrobe again and go back into bed with my lady wife, she turns and hugs me, as she mummers something in her sleep and I return the gesture as I fall asleep again.

.

Winterfell, the following morning

.

When he and Catelyn awoke early, she at first thought he was making a jape. Until he brought her the letter, and even then she simply assumed someone else was joking at their expense, or a second far worse option, someone had found and tamed a sizable dragon and was trying to pass it off as something other than a dragon. He had worried about that as well for a moment when he woke again, but ultimately decided it wouldn't do much either way to worry, rather than just preparing for the worst.

So it was that a few hours after waking up a second time and having made sure that Robb, Caitlyn and Jon were in as safe a location as they could be, that he was at the walls, running a personal inspection of the guards. A detachment of men at arms was ready in formation in the courtyard, armoured in gambeson and chainmail, with spears and shields ready while the walls were manned by archers supported by guards armed with swords and axes. After all it was said the envoys somehow flew in a ship, not how said 'ship' did so, nor if they had flying mounts to add to it.

Then a soft but rumbling sound could be heard, with it becoming louder as it came closer and one of the guards shouted ''Giant flying buggers approaching!'' As Ned turned, he saw them as well, three shapes in the sky that rapidly got closer and louder. He could hear a muttered ''So it was real…'' from near him, and turned to find Roderick standing there. He nods in response, unsure if the other man sees it but himself also unsure how to feel about the factor of it being real.

The flying machines, and from up close it can be seen that they aren't beasts but some kind of machine, alike a ship that sails the sky. As it comes closer and closer he also notes that it seems to reduce its speeds drastically until its moving forward at a far calmed pace as it approaches. He looks around quickly to see some men aiming their bows, shaking while doing so ''Do not fire until they prove hostile, they have peacefully interacted in White Harbour, they can do so here as well.''

He doesn't mention to the men that with them unused to aiming at such a target, they'll likely only have a good chance of hitting, and especially doing damage if it is relatively close. So even if a battle breaks out, its better for them if the enemy is close to the walls of Winterfell if it does so. The flying machines approach and he can hear a message blaring from one of them ''Greetings Winterfell, this is the League of Golden Fields and we come in peace, hopefully you have received the earlier message, sent by your vassal lord Manderly. If not, to inform you we are here to negotiate various deals, regarding trade and diplomatic recognition and gain information about Westeros while also informing you about us. Send a party out to meet us if you wish to talk.''

One of the three flying ships starts lowering to the surface, depositing a group of four people onto the road as they start walking towards a middle ground between the flying ships hovering above the road at the edge of the forest and the walls. He starts walking down the stairs to the courtyard and gathers a small retinue of Cassel and a dozen men he knows are capable and trustworthy before heading out to meet with the small group on the road. As they approach and can start making out more details, he realizes that of the four two are clothed in a mostly familiar fashion, with him recognizing Ferdinand on the right, another aged but still fit looking man wearing gambeson and a fur cloak whom in spite of being from a delegation from Essos looked more like a Crownlander or Reach knight in features, although he does not recognize the man himself.

The other two are more of a mystery however, one wearing a full brown cloak, but he could see that underneath it was most likely a woman of sorts, with care seemingly taken to hide her face, while the last is a tall brown haired man with a black cloak and black garbs with a broad build. These two however send his Wolfblood howling through his veins once he starts getting closer, similar to Arthur Dayne and Hightower did in Dorne, and he has the group hold at some distance from the group just in case it is a trap. ''Hello there visitors from the League of the Golden Fields, I am Eddard Stark, Lord Paramount of the North, sworn to king Robert Baratheon in King's Landing. Who am I speaking to?''

The older unknown man steps forward ''My name is Lawrence Waters, and I am the Chancellor of the League of the Golden Fields. With me are Ser Anakin Skywalker, the general in charge of our armies,'' he points towards the other brown haired man before he who gives a greeting before he shifts slightly ''And she is Ser Ahsoka Tano, the second in command of those same armies.'' She bows her head slightly in his direction. ''Finally Ser Ferdinand Manderly, from your vassal's family.''

Hmm so a Crownlander knight is in the lead of a foreign faction somehow, I'll have to learn how that came to be. But first ''Welcome to Winterfell then, envoys of the League of the Golden Fields, and it is good to meet you, please partake in salt and bread to gain your rights as our guests. As for Ferdinand, I already know him.'' It is good to see you again Ferdinand, during the rebellion you fought well by my side while leading the Manderly Foot. It is good to see you made it home alive and safe.''

Ferdinand responds ''It is good to see you again sound and safe as well milord.'' As he speaks a man from my retinue comes forward, a small platter in his hand with some salt and some freshly baked break on it. The visitors cautiously move to meet, and one after another they take the bread and salt, before Anakin opens his comms device and mentions ''Negotiations peaceful, prepare to land.'' An affirmative reply can be heard from it, which has the locals look on with a mixture of curiosity and caution, before Lawrence speaks up again.

''With bread and salt taken in, we wish to know where we would be allowed to land our flying ships so that our crews can disembark and we can bring down the small gifts we have prepared for the negotiations. We need sturdy ground and a decently piece of open space to properly park our vehicles on.'' As I nod and start thinking of a good place I can see the ships slowly begin moving in our direction while I send one of the men at arms to make sure the garrison knows not to fire.

We quickly determine a fairly good spot for them to land, and they are led towards it. As they disembark the ships however, I can see the silver haired youths disembark, and my mind flashes back to Roberts shouts of rage in the capital 'Kill them all, murder all those wretched dragon spawn!' I could already feel the headache of arguments oncoming, even if everything here went perfect.

AN: And that's the end of the chapter, I hope you have all enjoyed reading it. My deepest apologies for it being so long since I last posted, a lot of things have happened in the meantime. Various things fell through, I have worked two different full time jobs and because of that all I have had little time or inspiration to write.

Guestchapter 1 .Jan 24

Lol why would they ever accept this BS? If she can summon them there then she can send them back

Reply: A. She cannot do this, she only controls certain aspects of things related to Fate, not time or place. This means she wouldn't be able to actually send him to an earlier time period or place, she would only be able to send him back to where he was before this.

B. Sending him back directly would mean the middle of a space battle, while he's a ball of all kinds of emotions that Palpatine would immediately pick up on. And by this point in the Clone Wars, Palpatine has too much power, is on the Pride of the Enemy fleet and is surrounded by some of the confederacies most skilled combatants, whom Anakin would have to fight his way through to get to him.

By the time they get him back to Republic controlled territory both him and Obi-wan will be tired and at least one of them wounded, and Palpatine will be able to realize something is very off about Anakin and do all kinds of things to prevent Anakin from being able to act on his new knowledge before order 66 goes out. This in addition to all the damage already done in the clone wars and how much Palpatine will have destabilized the Republic and Jedi order already.

C. It's Anakin and Ahsoka, the two Jedi that care the deepest about those around them, whom just got offered a chance to go back to a point where they could save his mother and the friends they have lost during the clone wars in addition to all the innocent civilians who's deaths and suffering they could prevent.

D. And lastly… with what leverage will they force her to send them back somewhere? They are powerful, but they are in the domain of a goddess of Fate. Going along with her deal is probably the best option they could get.

Cepschapter 3 .Sep 12, 2023

Thats window is transparasteel and arrows Wouldn't scratch it jus like the plasteel of the troopers armor and no sword would stand up to a lightsaber for even one hit except valeryian steel

Reply: You do realise that just because something is more advanced, doesn't mean it will properly resist older weaponry, especially if said weaponry is fired at them in large enough quantities? Meanwhile on a multitude of occasions do metals objects stand up against glancing hits from lightsabres in Star Wars, but as shown here they can't stand up for very long and quickly get broken/melted through.

Modern glass made for car windows is advanced technologically in design for example, doesn't change the fact that if a group of slingers start hitting it with rocks from their slings, and enough of them hit, the window will break to pieces. Considering on various occasions people just straight up punch through and get thrown through the windshields, cockpits and ship window transparasteel in star wars, it would likely be a similar situation.

Meanwhile the armour of the troopers is made to deal with heat from things like blasters and energy weaponry, not kinetic weapons. Its why occasionally Mandalorians wield things that function similar to multi-shot muskets, of the type that people on earth developed armour that could stop the hits, and break through people's armour in star wars. Armour is almost always geared towards stopping currently common weaponry, things your enemy is likely to wield and thus try to kill you with, not something only that weirdo hillbilly with an ancient history obsession is carrying.

And this is a crossover how?

Reply: …You have a functional army of Star Wars characters in the setting of Game Of Thrones, with most of them currently in a region in Essos. What more crossover do you want?

Wow
