Chapter 3: The Hero

Its been a week ben affiliated with the league ben is continuing his daily routine as working a parttime in smoothie shop and stopping robbers here and there and in his free time he spends his time with the young league he get to know some of them and any mission batman suggested he rejected saying it should be a though mission.

Now ben was in his house getting to sleep, but suddenly he heard a noise outside he groaned at it but suddenly his league communicator rang he accepted the call and batman said some monkey robots are attacking as they could get help from ben as they are attacking metropolis.

Ben decided to go, all he did since coming into this universe was stopping bank robbers and fire he decided to end it quick he opened the window of his bedroom and saw wonderwoman, superman, green lantern destroying robots he turned to xlr8 and ran from the window to out and meet them.

"So whats with these robots" asked xlr8.

They were confused but seeing omnitrix on xlr8 chest they recognised.

"Ben" called superman.

"Yes you can call me xlr8" said xlr8.

Then flash arrived to the scene.

"Ben is that you" asked flash.

"Yes call me" xlr8.

"So what can this alien do" asked flash no seeing the traffic footage.

Then xlr8 went in a blur.

"So that's his power" said flash.

"Seems like you has a competitor" said wonder woman.

"Race ye there" said flash.

"Flash did you see ben asked batman" from commlink.

"No but you all need to see this" said flash.

"What happened" asked batman.

"It's not something to tell you all should definitely see it" said flash.

After few minutes all the league arrived to where flash was they were all surprised the total scene was scattered with the robot parts and cars on fire and some craters and buildings on fire.

"Am I seeing what you all are seeing" asked lantern.

"Yes" said superman.

"Are you saying ben did it" asked wonderwoman.

"Of course he is the one who went this way but its been less than five minutes" said flash.

"Impossible I cant believe he caused this destruction in less than five minutes said lantern did you meet any one can cause this destruction in less than five minutes".

"Not even superman while fighting with metallo takes at least 10 minutes" said wonder woman.

"And he has a alien that rivals me said" flash with jealous.

"Now we need to find where ben is" said batman.

"The destruction path will lead to him" said superman.

Soon they followed the path they saw a vortex with blue and black blur.

Xlr8 caused the vortex he is engaging gorilla grodd in the vortex.

"Hey!" XLR8 hears a cry in the distance while still making the vortex. Turning his attention to where the noise came from, Flash was right next to him - though slightly behind - helping make the vortex."Is the mass destruction really necessary? " The speedster asks pointing to the trail of destruction XLR8 made before he met Grodd.

"Cant help when some one caused my sleep to interrupt and cant let some villains cause chaos while I am here" said xlr8.

Then the both stopped creating vortex Then batman threw a batarang into vortex hitting grodd which exploded and caged him In a foam.

Then xlr8 in a blur hit grodd making him unconscious.

After sending gordd to prision.

"Is it necessary to cause destruction" asked batman.

"Cant help when things need to patch up quick" said xlr8.

Batman remained silent.

"If there is nothing to do I am leaving".

Batman was pondering something, superman noticed it and asked batman what he is thinking.

"He is dangerous" said batman.

"I can tell by looking the destruction he caused but he is not a criminal or threat" said superman.

Batman still thing something.

Then they all left the place.

The next day after completing his work ben went to mount justice to be ready if any mission was there all the young team was present there some are chilling and some are training ben was drinking his smoothie.

Then a alert was heard as ben made any alert on watch towers also notified on mount then ben asked what happened through coms.

"A android with abilities to copy any power was attacking we are going to stop it" said batman from video call.

"Wait! we are going to take it down" said ben.

All the young team are surprised.

"What! last time they barely escaped from it if we go we would be squashed like bugs" said kf.

"Yes its too dangerous for them" said batman.

"don't you want to face real challenges" asked ben turning toward them.

"Yes we asked but.." said kf.

"Are you afraid" asked ben.

"It's a serious matter ben" said batman.

'I am also talking serious batman didn't we have a deal' ben reminded batman.

'Yes but its dangerous it has all league abilites and it will be worse if it copied any of your abilities' said batman.

'Yes ben let them handle it' said kf afraid.

Then he asked the whole young league "don't you want to prove your self don't you want to fight at your maximum potential asked ben Afterall you all waited for this get ready in five minutes" said ben in a stern voice, then he turned to batman "we are going" with no room for argument.

Batman sighed "I hope you wont regret it if any thing happens to them I wont forgive you" said batman.

"Don't worry I will protect them" said ben.

Then they ended the call.

In watch tower

Wonder woman noticed expression on batman and asked him what happened he told her.

"Are you crazy you accepted it" asked wonder woman.

"We made a deal did you forgot" asked batman.

"Deal or not they are young they don't experience" said superman.

"But he is firm and they accepted" it said batman.

"We need to go even ben is more powerful than us we should help them" said wonder woman.

"Yes" said superman.

Ben and young league arrived to the location where the android known as amazo 2.0 is.

So it has all abilites of league and it can copy abilites by seeing it asked ben.

Yes said robin.

"Then you all go and try to stop it" said ben.

"What! Are you not helping and we need to fight it on our own" asked a baffled kf.

"Yes, cant risk lest it may copies my abilites even I had some aliens that could take it down in two minutes if I go in stealth" said ben.

"They why don't you finish it" asked kf.

"Remember it's the chance to prove yourself to the league" ben reminded them.

"Are you sure it's a good idea to figh"t asked kaldur.

"Remember I fight against the dangerous being in our universe when I am ten at the end with help from my family we defeated him" said ben" remember one thing always work as a team then you can defeat it".

"Any ideas mister hero" asked kf annoyed.

"That for you to figure it but one advice try to confuse it if its possible."

Then they went to fight the amazo.

Superboy took the initiative, charging forward with unbridled determination. He swung his fist, landing a solid punch against Amazo's face. Access superman, returning the blow with equal force, sending Superboy staggering back. Gritting his teeth, he readied himself for another assault.

"Keep moving!" Robin shouted, darting into action. With his agility, he swung around Amazo using grappling hooks, throwing smoke bombs to obscure the android's vision. "Don't let him focus on any one of us!"

Kid Flash joined in, zipping in and out around Amazo, creating a whirlwind of motion. "Let's see how you handle this!" he called out, throwing rapid punches that blurred together. But Amazo matched his speed effortlessly, countering with a swift kick that sent Kid Flash sprawling to the ground.

Aqualad stepped in, his resolve unwavering. "I'll destabilize him!" he declared, summoning powerful jets of water from nearby sources. The water surged toward Amazo, colliding with the android. But Amazo merely absorbed the attack, transforming his arms into water cannons and firing back at Aqualad, who barely managed to dodge the onslaught.

From a distance, Megan focused her energy, sensing her teammates' thoughts. "We need to work together! Robin, signal when to strike!" she urged, using her telepathic abilities to enhance their coordination. She could feel the strain in each of them, but their determination was unyielding.

Artemis, sharp-eyed and poised, waited for an opening. "I'll hit his weak spots!" she declared, releasing an arrow that soared toward Amazo. But the android twisted and deflected it effortlessly. Frustrated, she readied another shot, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

As the battle intensified, Amazo reveled in the chaos, his expressions shifting as he copied their abilities. "you're not strong enough to defeat me!"

Realizing they were on the brink of defeat, Robin rallied his team. "We need a combined attack! Superboy, Aqualad, hit him together! Kid Flash, create a distraction while Artemis and I flank him!"

With renewed determination, the team coordinated their efforts. Superboy and Aqualad charged in unison, Aqualad summoning a massive wave of water to encase Amazo's legs. Just as Amazo began to regain his footing, Superboy launched himself at the android, fists ready to strike.

Ben is in a distance wahtching the fight then the justice league arrived.

"Why are you standing here instead of not helping them" asked batman.

"Cant risk it copying my powers" said ben.

"Then why did you came" asked wonder woman annoyed.

"I gave them a opportunity to prove themselves" said ben pointing at them, the league saw the whole fight they are barely able to hold it infact they are having a hard time against it.

"They can fight it" said superman "we need to take care of it".

"If you want them to improve stay back" said ben in a firm tone.

"See them they may not able to scratch it but they are displaying a great team work" when they saw it.

Mgaan using he telepathy tried to lift the amazo but using superman abilites he fired heatvison at her knocking her down when the android kid flash rescued her artemis fired a arrow at the android using martian phasing ability the arrow phased from it using canary cry it knocked artemis the super boy charged the android in brawl but android having superior strength he defeated superboy.

Then aqualad using his water bearers attacked amazo kidflash running circles around it punced it but amazo swatted him like fly then robin throwed a birdrang at him then superboy and aqualad started attacking it simultaneously but having a hard time.

The league seeing it they were glad but still having concern for them.

"Its good they have team work but we should handle it" said superman.

"I thought you would understand it by now" said ben.

"What do you mean" asked superman.

"Did you think why I brought them here they should know about the seriousness of this work they are acting like 10 yr old me thinking they could win because they have skills but I wont work like that strength without brains is useless I took me a lot of time to understand it, all I want for them is to understand and take their job seriously if you want them to be your successors they should know it by hard way if you keep them in shadows they wont learn if a bigger threat arrives all hope is lost said ben.

All the league was surprised at bens words they didn't think like that.

"But a talk would be nicer than this" said flash.

"Do you think any teenagers would listen to elders these days as I said they remind me of my 10 yr self I didn't heed to my grandpa words and I learned it the hard way so I am making them to learn the hard way" said ben.

"I understand what you are saying but I think its enough of them they couldn't stand to it" said batman.

Ben seeing the scene decided to step in.'

"Hey superman if you were caged in very strong ice who long it will take it you get free" asked ben.

"Under a minute" replied superman.

"You jonn" asked ben.

"It will take me some time" said manhunter.

"So I need to make it quick" said ben.

"What are you going to do" asked batman.

Then ben turned to bigchill and turned intangible.

"So he is going to trap it in ice" asked flash.

"But it wont hold it longer" said batman.

"Then we need to be quick" said superman.

At the fight scene the young league are having a difficult time they tried all they could do but no avail.

Then suddenly the amazo was encased in ice surprising the young team.

Then they saw bigchill become visible bigchill hitting omnitrix then green green flash blinded the location.

In place of bigchill stood a short alien with green skin with large eyes and small legs and hands with teeth visible with out delaying any time upchuck opening his mouth spread his tounges at the feezed amazo and swallowed it whole which surprised the young league and the justice league who arrived at the scene.

Then upchuck stomach begin to expand but immediately it became normal.

"I recommend you to go back" then upchuck spat the amazo from his mouth like energy ball destroying it and some of its parts scattered around the area but those are useless parts.

The league and young league were awe struck by what they see.

"Although its gross its pretty cool" said flash.

"Yes what is this alien name" asked kf.

"Its called upchuck it can eat anything in universe including stars and sun" said upchuck.

Then he transformed back to ben.

"But why did you needed to encage in ice" asked superman.

"What if it turned intangible" asked ben.

Then superman nodded in understanding.

"Like you said you ended it in two minutes" said aqualad.

"Again why didn't you helped us asked" kf annoyed.

"Is this not help" asked ben "how will you learn if all things were done by me" asked ben.

"If you want to remain in shadows for the rest of your life then from next time I won't let you fight" said ben.

Kid flash took it as a insult "no no I wont let it happen".

"But you all did a good job today you worked as a team looking for one another back" said batman.

"Yes you proved your self "said wonder woman.

Then the eyes lit up in their faces really asked kid flash.

"Yes you impressed us it seems ben is correct letting you deal with bigger problems" said superman.

"But you are not good enough you are weak" said ben with a smug look.

Immediately their mood died down.

"Mood killer mutterd" kid flash.

Ben noticed the looks the league giving him.

"I know by now you cant stand me and seeing me as annoying brat do you want another six on your heads" asked ben with a sumg look.

Flash shuddered at the thought of it.

"I guess no" said ben.

"Go and rest for today we will take care of the parts of amazo" said batman.

Then the league took the remaining parts but they are useless.

"I think these are useless beyond repair" said flash.

"But we need to secure them cant let whoever created them get their hands on it" said batman.

Then the young league left for the day to rest along with ben.
