Mario had selected 'Reserve a Match'. Mr. Grubba had appeared on the screen.

He told them, "Well, boy howdy, Comet! Fixin' for a fight, huh?"

Mario confirmed, "Yes we are."

Mr. Grubba checked, "Alright then. Lemme just see here... Yer next opponent will be... Ranked 2 in the Glitz Pit... Chomp Country! Now listen: in this battle, I want you not to attack for the first three turns, okay? Fans love it when their heroes make 'em sweat a bit, am I right or am I right? Now get out there an' bring the bacon!"

Mario confirmed, "Got it. The next ones to go with Blaze are Icy Punch and the Shell Raiser."

Mr. Grubba nodded as he turned off the screen. Luigi gave Violet a quick kiss for good luck. Violet returned the kiss. They broke it just as Jolene came in.

Flurrie perked up, "Ms. Jolene? What are you doing here?"

Jolene explained, "Pardon me, Comet. Another gift arrived from one of your admirers."

Blaze gushed, "Oh thanks."

She nodded, "I'll just leave it over here, if that's okay? Do with it what you will."

That's when she left and the group saw that she had brought another strawberry cake.

Koops gushed, "Oh wow, another strawberry cake!"

Goombella stated, "Maybe we can have some later."

Just then security came in and escorted Violet, Koops, and Blaze to their next match.

Mr. Grubba announced, "For our next battle, we got the Merciless Executioners; Icy Punch, Blaze, and Shell Raiser! And.. the Red Ore Fear Orbs! Yep, a fight to the finish with The Chomp Country!"

Violet commented, "We've got this in the bag."

Blaze stated, "You know we do!"

Koops replied, "Yeah so bring it on!"

The Red Chomps just barked at them.

Mr. Grubba commented, "Let's get yerselves ready to battle!"

The gong went off as the fight begun. The group didn't attack for three attacks. Violet used icicles, throwing at the Red Chomps. Koops used his shell to help. Blaze used his tongue to help. It didn't take long for the three of them to take down the Red Chomps.

Mr. Grubba stated, "We got ourselves the winners! Icy Punch, Blaze, and the Shell Raiser!"

The group happily danced, satisfied with their win.

After their fight, Jolene gave them their fight money. They had gotten 15 coins and their ranking had went up to 2. Jolene left just then.

Violet frowned, "Hey guys, what's wrong with this guy?"

Everyone looked as they saw a fighter on the ground. He groaned in pain as he twitched about.

He groaned, "Body...went...numb... Stupid...cake... Hate...cake... Never...eat...cake...again..."

Blaze questioned, "You think this guy ate that cake we left here?"

Flurrie stated, "He had a few pieces of it while you guys were fighting."

Koops asked, "Do you think that this cake was poisoned?"

Luigi stammered, "W - without a doubt."

Mario pointed out, "We have no idea who did it either. That's a little unnerving."

That's when he decided to schedule another fight. Mr. Grubba had appeared on the screen.

He told them, "Well, boy howdy, Comet! Fixin' for a fight, huh?"

Mario confirmed, "Yes we are."

Mr. Grubba checked, "Alright then. Lemme just see here... Yer next opponent will be... Ranked 1 in the Glitz Pit... The Koopinator! Now listen, I want you to wrap it up in five turns or less! I got a date with a cute little chickadee in just a few, an' I don't wanna be late! Now get in there an' bring this puppy home quick!"

Mario confirmed, "Got it. The next ones to go with Blaze will be Windy Madame and Pink Destruction."

Mr. Grubba nodded as he turned off the screen. Security came in just then and took the three of them to their next fight.

Mr. Grubba announced, "For our next battle, we got the Merciless Executioners; Windy Madame, Blaze, and Pink Destruction! And.. the Razor Blade Brigadier! Yep, a fight to the finish with The Koopinator!"

Blaze said, "Bring it on!"

Goombella stated, "You are going down and you are going down quickly!"

Flurrie added, "Indeed!"

Koopinator replied, "You. Finally, I get a piece of you. Finally, we get to see who's truly stronger!"

Mr. Grubba commented, "Let's get yerselves ready to battle!"

The gong went off as the fight begun. Goombella used her multi bonk, hitting at the Koopinator. Flurrie used her wind powers to help. Blaze used his tongue to help. It didn't take long for the three of them to take down the Koopinator!

Mr. Grubba stated, "We got ourselves the winners! Windy Madame, Blaze, and Pink Destruction!"

Blaze gushed, "We did it!"

Flurrie stated, "That we did!"

Goombella said, "Yeah cause we rock!"

After the fight, Jolene gave them their money. She gave them fifteen coins and their ranking went up to 1. Jolene left just as Mario's Mailbox SP went off.

Mario read it aloud, "Remove the Red Comet posters from the lobby. From X."

Blaze commented, "X again? He sounds like a nut still but he's all we got."

Flurrie stated, "That's true."

Koops replied, "Let's go check it out then!"

To that, everyone nodded in agreement. They headed to the lobby. Once they got there, they had took down the posters and found another storage key.

Goombella perked up, "Another storage key?"

That's when Mario's Mailbox SP went off again.

Mario read it aloud, "Go to the second floor of the storage room. From X."

The group headed in that direction. Once they got there, Mario unlocked the door. They found another box to smash. Mario smashed it away. That's when they found Bandy Andy and King K.

Violet breathed, "Bandy Andy? King K?"

Luigi stammered, "W - What are they doin' up here?"

Bandy Andy groaned a bit. Mario kneeled down to him.

Mario asked, "Bandy Andy? What's happened?"

Bandy Andy weakly answered, "Com... Com... Comet... Listen...to...me... Urk... man... Don't...get...near...the...ring...when...no...one...is...around..."

He groaned in pain.

Blaze asked, "C'mon shake it off buddy! What do you mean, don't go near the ring?"

Bandy Andy groaned, "I...I...don't...think...I'm...gonna...make...it... Arrgh..."

He closed his eyes, losing conscious and dying.

Flurrie breathed, "Oh no! This is horrible! Who would do such a thing...?"

Just when the heroes were about to go, ithey saw Jolene at the door briefly. She had left from the door rather quickly.

Koops asked, "What was she doing up here?"

Goombella admitted, "She's been acting awful strange..."

Violet stated, "No kidding..."

Luigi stammered, "W - we better get out of here before anything else happens."

Mario agreed, "Come on, we can head outside and give properly before we do anything else here."

Everyone nodded in agreement as they all headed outside. They all had a proper good cry for their friends Bandy Andy and King K. They still couldn't believe that this happening. They knew what they had to do now. They had to do this for them. They had figure out this mystery for their fallen friends.
