The feline thief and his horse were falling but hit a rock ledge that broke their fall until landing roughly at the bottom.

"Phew, almost ready to lose one of my lives," Cat Noir said.

Plagg felt like he got hit by a boulder before standing up, neighing in a woozy state.

"You're gonna be fine, Plagg" Cat Noir assured.

They suddenly heard someone coming before hiding behind the rock. They took a quick peek and saw that it was a woman in a cloak coming out of a camouflaged leafy wall rock.

Once she was out of sight, Cat Noir and Plagg snuck inside. He had never seen something so well hidden in plain sight to hide something in the forest.

"I wonder what she was hiding" Car Noir wondered.

Plagg knickers in confusion as to what is in there. Like curiosity kills the cat but for a horse, he's always a curious one. They moved the vines aside and saw a tower. No ladder or staircase to head up to the tower which is kind of odd.

"Looks like I need to figure a way up" Cat Noir looks up to the window.

He thought of using a rope and arrow to the tower to climb up. He tied the rope to the arrow, aiming it towards the roof, and fired it away. As it shoots at the perfect angle, he grips the rope to make sure it's good and secure.

"Good. Wait here, Plagg" He starts climbing up.

Plagg neighed quietly but was still concerned that his rider took too long to come out.

Cat Noir climbed carefully to not fall down but eventually, he reached the window. It was surprisingly open and before he came through, a scream startled him.

"Whoa Easy! I'm not here to...UGH!" He was hit in the head by a frying pan. It made him go unconscious by the blow in the head before his body thuds on the floor.

Later, when he woke up, he discovered he was tied up by long red hair.

"What the hell? Is that….hair?" He followed the trail

From where it leads until it points to a silhouette girl holding a frying pan, "Who are you?" She asked in fear.

"I'm Cat Noir" Cat Noir replied, "Ow….what the hell did you hit me with? And please come into the light. I don't bite"

Marinette then shows herself, stunning him with how beautiful she looks. Those beautiful bluebell eyes were like the color of the sky but also like water to put out the fire.

"Whoa," He could only mutter.

"You're a person" Marinette observed the stranger.

"A cat person, yeah," Cat Noir said.

"You're a man," Marinette said, her first time talking to a male person.

"Yeah, never seen a man before?" Cat Noir asked.

"Why did you come here? To steal my hair? Cut my hair? Sell it? I want honest answers" Marinette paced around him.

"Are you insane? The only thing I want to do with your hair is to get out of its grip" Cat Noir thinks she's talking nonsense.

"Then what else do you want?" Marinette asked.

"Nothing! Just to hide and to get out of this tower" Cat Noir said.

Marinette gestures to Tikki to detect the stranger's eyes if he's lying.

"What is that lizard doing?" Cat Noir asked.

"Detecting lies," Marinette said.

Tikki sees no hesitation in a lie but she sees he's telling the truth. She gestures to Marinette with her tail to say that the stranger is telling the truth.

"So you speak the truth," Marinette said.

"Of course, I speak the truth. I don't even know you" Cat Noir said, wanting to get out of this tight grip on the chair.

"I'm Marinette" Marinette said.

"Nice name," Cat Noir said.

"And you? There's no way I'm calling you a cat man" Marinette said.

"People just call me Cat Noir" Cat Noir said.

Curious as she is, she removed his mask to see the look on his face whether he's scary or not as her 'mother' once described people as cruel monsters. She couldn't help but admire his face. He really looked handsome to her.

"Yeah, everyone thinks my eyes are like a green forest" Cat Noir flirted.

"Gross! Don't fluster me!" Marinette did not like the flirting.

"I won't harm you if you let me go," Cat Noir said.

"Really? Why did you bring this?" Marinette held out the tiara which she's never seen or heard.

"That's what I do, stealing treasures," Cat Noir said.

"You're a thief? Thieves are evil!" Marinette said.

"Who told you that?" Cat Noir asked.

"My mother," Marinette said.

"And where is she? I wonder" Cat Noir knew there was a woman that went by earlier that could have been her.

"Getting supplies," Marinette said.

"You're an odd girl. It's like you never are around here. Never faced a thief ever" Cat Noir said.

"You're the first. So tell me what this is and where did you get it?" Marinette asked about the tiara.

"That's a tiara, it belonged to the lost princess of the kingdom," Cat Noir said.

"There's a kingdom? My mother never said anything about a kingdom" Marinette thought for a moment if there was more to life outside the tower, "I also have a question, Cat Noir" She put his mask back on and made him turn around in his seat so he can look at the painting of the lanterns.

"What's that?" He asked.

"These moving stars at night appear once a year. Do you know why?" Marinette asked.

"They are released as a memory of the lost princess. And they are lanterns" Cat Noir said.

"Lanterns? Not stars? I knew the sky wasn't playing tricks. Clouds move but stars do not" Marinette said.

"Would you like to see them up close?" Cat Noir asked.

"Yes! I mean…yes. But here's the deal. Since this is my first time, you'll be a good kitty cat and take me to the lanterns and this precious Diamond toy will be yours. And you'll return me back here as a promise" Marinette explained the deal.

"I don't make deals, red hair. I'm a lone wild cat. I'm not a tourist and I'm not always a good kitty to anyone" Cat Noir said and barely knew this red-haired girl.

"Fine. Then I guess I can annoy you for all eternity with my girly routines and you'll just have to watch" Marinette threatened him what's gonna happen.

"Alright then," Cat Noir said.

"Come up with an oath," Marinette said.

Cat Noir groans in annoyance that this girl is very cute when she's stubborn but he does have his limits in doing something like a good guy. Except he doesn't trust men but this girl is no man.

"Fine. I, Cat Noir will take this red-haired girl to the lanterns and when I complete that mission, I return her back to this boring tower" Cat Noir said his oath.

"That's better, Kitty," Marinette said.

"And you will return my tiara as a promise, red hair. Do we have a deal?" Cat Noir said.

"Of course," Marinette said.

"Good. Now, as a lady you are, can you release me from your hair? Literally" Cat Noir asked.

"Alright," Marinette released him.

She then hoisted herself and Cat Noir out of the tower. With long magical hair like that, it was her first time stepping on fresh grass which spooked her to think green are poison ivy. But soon she calms down feeling no burn.

The first time she felt grass underneath her bare feet was amazing. The feline thief just stood there like this was brand new to her to step outside for the first time.

"Wow! The grass isn't poisonous! The sunlight is so beautiful!" Marinette has a lot to process.

"I can't believe I did this! I can't believe I did this! Mom's gonna be upset!" She said to herself.

Next, she held a flower from a pond, "This flower won't kill me" She said but then had a panic attack in a cave before rushing out excitedly.

This was getting Cat Noir annoyed while just staying quiet to let the weird girl process more.

"THIS IS FUN! WOOOOOO I'M NOT GOING BACK!"

He flinched at her loud squeal which annoyed him but he hoped she could burn off her energy before she tired herself out.

Next, Marinette swings around the tree while Cat Noir leans on it with an annoyed look on his face.

"WOOOOOOHOOOOOO!" She cries out in joy, "Best day ever!"

"Had enough fun?" He asked.

Marinette climbs down and is too distracted by another of her mood swings at war, "I've never felt so alive!" She said.

"Yes, well, as you should be as always. But it seems like you are having doubts" Cat Noir said.

"It's my first time outside here," Marinette said.

"Hmm….and yet still healthy too without any pale skin on you. No offense. But yeah, everyone needs sunlight in their life" Cat Noir said before whistling to call his ride.

"Uh, what are you doing?" Marinette said.

"Summoning my horse," Cat Noir said.

Then Plagg came running before neighing in response that he was here.

"Marinette, meet Plagg" Cat Noir introduced.

The horse sniffed the odd girl before neighing in happiness to see his rider made a friend.

"That's your horse?" Marinette asked.

"Yup, he is," Cat Noir said.

"He looks...great" Marinette pets him, "Spooky like a nightmare horse my mother once told me," Marinette said.

"Plagg is actually quite docile," Cat Noir said.

"I never rode a horse," Marinette said.

"Well, you can hop on behind me" Cat Noir hops on Plagg.

Plagg felt offended since he never had two riders on his back until he neighed sharply at his rider with a glare.

"Look, noble steed. I made a promise to Red Hair to take her to see the lanterns. I can't break a promise to her. Plus, she has my tiara which I can't grab from her which is like breaking a vow. I never fight ladies" Cat Noir explained to his horse.

Plagg made a scoff before snorting in defeat and holding out his hoof for a handshake from the girl.

"Good boy" Marinette shook it.
