Andrea and her sister Amy are separate from Rick's group. In this story, Amy never gets bitten by a walker and Andrea never meets Michonne. Thus changing a few things in the timeline, but nothing major.

2. Chapter 2

Chapter two- Blackberries

Andrea's POV

We had been walking in the woods for days. I wondered if anyone in the group looked for us. Shane was mostly what I was thinking about. Once Rick returned, Lori left Shane alone. This allowed me to get close to Shane. Too close. I was pregnant with Shane's child, just like Lori.

I loved Shane and our unborn child.

Amy and I had been alone for seven months, trying to find safety. We had little food to survive on. Laying down, eating blackberries Amy found, I closed my eyes. My sister held me as I prepared to die. We heard footsteps approaching. "Run, Amy." Save yourself," I said, knowing that there was trouble nearby.

Amy insisted on remaining at my side, stating resolutely, "I will not leave you alone." I have no energy to run or try to escape whatever danger that is present. Suffering from exhaustion and hunger pangs, I succumb to unconsciousness.
