Okay, just a brief update.
I am actively working on chapter 51, the first draft is actually done and I'm now working on the second.
However, I've run into a major obstacle. Namely, Microsoft is proving to be greedy. They have brought my progress to a complete halt. They want me to spend over $100 to renew my subscription to 'Word'. Until I do, I'm locked out of it and I can't type in the program whatsoever.
The trouble is, from my point of view, word processing software should be something included for free with the purchase of any PC since it's such a basic program. (In fact, I'm pretty sure is used to be this way in the good old days). Word is not something a consumer should have to renew it every damn year, and even if it was, it shouldn't be for a sum as Ridiculous as $100+ every year. It's highway robbery, and a great example of corporate greed getting out of control. I've paid for it once already, and I simply won't pay for it a second time (just out of principal).
So, for the moment, I'm kind of stuck. I can use fanfiction's own document manager software for typing, but it's not exactly ideal for creative writing and it's even harder to use for editing purposes. So right now I'm trying to figure out other work arounds. Ultimately, I'm planning to buy a new computer anyways. The PC I'm using right now is pretty slow and obsolete, so I think I'm going to invest in a Mac or something in the near future. I need to do some research first.
Anyways, I'm going to try to get another chapter out in the next couple of weeks, but my usual pattern of putting out a chapter every 30 days or so is definitely going to be disturbed for awhile until I get things figured out.
More story is coming, but it might be a little slow.
