Author's Note: As much as I do love timebomb (jinx x ekko). I doubt it will be a part of this story unless people want that along with Jaxen.
"We are almost there!" Vi shouts with enthusiasm while scaling a large building and then looking down toward her sister and adoptive siblings. "Aw, man," said Mylo, a skinny kid with a mess of hair and a big attitude, still near the bottom. "Keep up, slow slowpoke," Jaxen says, as he quickly scales the building. Claggor, a bigger but stronger guy, smiles and looks down at Jaxen, climbs past Mylo, causing him to let out a sarcastic scoff.
At the top, Vi calls out to Powder, "Come take a look". Powder and Jaxen say in shock, "Whoa," as they make their way to the top of the building. "Nice getting above it all, huh?" said Vi, looking over to Jaxen and her sister. Jaxen just takes a deep breath and nods while realizing how much nicer the top side of the city is, especially the air.
Then everyone watches a massive airship fly overhead while Powder says excitedly, "One day, I'm gonna ride in one of those things." "Not if I beat you to it," Jaxen says with a grin. Vi and Claggor smile at the twowhen Mylo butts in while pointing a finger gun at the airship and says, "And one day, I'm shoot one of 'em down". Vi smacks Mylo's hand down while the rest just ignore him and roll their eyes.
Claggor, looking around asked while stuttering, "Vi, a-are, you sure about this? Look, if we get caught, we're-." "We're not gonna get caught," Vi says interrupting him as she then jumps to the next roof with the rest soon following. "We'll be in and out before anyone notices," she continues.
They then make it to the edge of the next building, this time needing to jump over a street of people. "All right, everybody, follow me. Just don't look down." Vi then slides down a balcony and jumps to the building on the other side. Mylo does the same jump as Vi, with Claggor soon following while eating a cupcake he stole from the balcony. Claggor asked, "Couldn't we have at least just walked there?" "Gotta stay out of sight for this one," Vi responded before quickly looking at Jaxen and Powder still on the other roof.
Jaxen and Powder made the mistake of looking down and are now both full of much anxiety. Mylo says sarcastically, "Called it." He then looks directly at Jaxen and says, "Come on, slow, slowpoke. Get you and your girlfriend over here." Jaxen stares at him, saying, "She is not my girlfriend." At the same time, Vi punches Mylo in the arm. Mylo responds to Vi, "This is on you." "I'll get them," Claggor says before Vi cuts him off, saying, "No. Powder and Jaxen, look at me." Still breathing quite heavily, Jaxen and Powder both stare at Vi as she says, "What did I tell you two?". Jaxen responds, "That..." "We are ready," Jaxen and Powder say in unison. "That's right! So?" Vi says encouragingly. Jaxen and Powder take a deep breath before getting ready to go right before Mylo says jokingly "Not at the same time Morons." Vi and Claggor shoot him and dirty look while he just looks proud of himself. Jaxen whispers to Powder before jumping, "She thinks we're ready, and I'm going to prove Mylo wrong." Jaxen makes it across just fine and playfully punches Mylo in the arm. Powder then also jumps but slips at the end, but Vi saves her. "Thanks," she then said to Vi. Claggor and Vi start to continue, but Jaxen walks with Powder and passes Mylo, who just scoffs, "You two just slow us down." (alt line: You two look great together) The pair of them just rolled their eyes and followed the rest of the group.
