The Demons–
NYX: Daughter of the Primordial Chaos, Nyx is by far one of the most highly feared Olympian demons. She does not shy away from allowing the world to devolve into chaos and blackness and it is believed that she is the mother of some of the worst tyrants Earth has ever seen. In between her runs of despotism and murder, she did sire two children, each made to bring about the new Olympian order in their own way. One was Aelina who would later be the mother of the Miracle Child, and Illusia, who would ascend to take her mother's place. These two children were the most powerful of all her brood and it is said at their birth, both Sleep and Death bowed the knee. Cf. Aelina and Illusia.
Chaos: The Father of Nyx, he allowed his daughter to be defeated and took her place as Master of Darkness, orchestrating the happenings of both the First and the Senior Partners. Where Nyx had merely made use of these evil beings, Chaos caused them to surrender their power to him and enable him to force the Olympians to reveal their powers or allow the world to crumble into darkness. He was ultimately destroyed when both Aelina and Illusia joined their unique powers against him. He was staked through the heart by the Vampire Slayer.
Uranus: The first high King of the Olympians and the most powerful being of all, he was the one who created Tartarus which contains every hell-dimension. He was also the father of half of the demon tribes known to man. It is believed that furthermore, he initiated both the beginnings of the vampires and the Slayer demon, knowing that by the constant warfare between the two factions, he would be able to increase his power substantially. He was hindered in his aim by the birth of Zeus who overthrew him and scattered the demons to all the different hell-dimensions. With the destruction of his fellow Primordial Chaos, he took his rightful place as Emperor of the whole world. He demanded that Wolfram & Hart destroy Angel and his group and at the final apocalyptic battle, he himself forced Illusia into the battle that killed her, destroying Angel Investigations' resolve. He then thrust Los Angeles into Hell. He was ultimately defeated when the Olympians returned and Mercury and Ares released Illusia and Angel from Tartarus.
Aelina: The first daughter of Nyx, she was born solely so that Nyx could ensure the birth of the Miracle Child. She, however, grew up having no knowledge of her mother and immigrated to Virginia where she worked as a whore. As she lay dying of syphilis, the Master of the Order of Aurelius turned her, claiming her as his most powerful acolyte. She was later renamed Darla and sired the vampire Angelus; they would roam Europe for a hundred and fifty years before Angelus was ensouled and left the Whirlwind. After being killed by Angel, formerly Angelus, in defense of the Slayer she was risen again by Wolfram & Hart. There she was used to haunt and torment Angel hoping to turn him back to the dark side. Though this failed, in a moment of perfect despair, Angel slept with her. When he wouldn't stay with her, she fled Los Angeles and was thought gone forever. However, she returned, bearing the child of Angel. With Daniel Holtz dogging her steps, Darla realized that to save the only thing that she ever loved, she would have to stake herself. She was saved from this by her sister Illusia willingly taking up the mantle of the dead Nyx and becoming the second Nyx, a powerful harbinger of darkness and light. She then helped Angel Investigations battle and later take over Wolfram & Hart. She was killed by Uranus and sent to Tartarus where she reunited with her sister and her lover Angel, and became the most powerful general of the Tartarus Army.
Illusia: The daughter of Nyx by the Watcher Rupert Giles, she was named Trixie Giles, a name her mother hated. The vampire Angel also gave her the nickname, Fiadh, meaning wild one, and she ultimately adopted it as her permanent name. She was originally meant to become her mother's right hand, the one who would join both the humans and the demons together as a sort of Chosen One. However, when Ethan Rayne raped her, leaving her with a curse that caused her to feel the pain of his assault again everytime anyone touched her, her mother discarded her as a merely useless pawn. Isolated from her father, she visited him just after Graduation Day and then left for Los Angeles, eager to get away from Watcher culture. There she met Angel who became the only person she trusted enough to touch her and slowly unlocked her powers as the daughter of Nyx. Once she realized her own potential, she became characterized by her unwillingness to befriend any of the Scoobies and her love and protection of Darla. She willingly gave up her human soul so that she could save Darla from dusting herself and give Connor a mother. She continued to darken slowly until she initiated a romantic relationship with Angelus, one which carried over with Angel, and when he took over the Circle of the Black Thorn, she fought with Uranus. She almost beat him before he, and the Senior Partners, cast everyone away from her and plunged Los Angeles into Hell. She was then killed by Uranus and sent to Tarturus ultimate. However, Aphrodite, who had considered her acolyte and servant, after Twilight, sent her to Angel and called him to fight again. With both of them woken up and stronger than ever, Illusia helped lead the hordes of Tarturus in the final battle and end the power of Uranus forever. The perfect Olympus was then restored and all humanity was at peace, with Angel and Illusia ruling over the half-breeds, Spike and Buffy over the humans.
The Slayer: Originally the essence of a demon was infused into a captive girl named Sineya. When she died, her powers went to the next Slayer who was guarded by the Shadowmen who had performed the ritual creating the first Slayer. The current Slayers are Buffy Summers and Faith LeHane and the numerous other people who became the activated Slayers. However, Buffy and Faith are the most powerful and they most likely will be the most well known.
Angelus: The vampire who became Angel when he was ensouled. However, when without a soul, he was characterized by the pure evil and cruelty of his actions. His masterpiece was Drusilla whom he drove mad before turning her. After Angel was ensouled, Angelus was left suffering in the back of his mind, fighting to get out. He was let out when Buffy slept with Angel, but he was then ensouled again and Angel was sent to Hell. He arose again through various flukes over the next three years, but was then willingly released by Angel Investigations so he could put an end to the Beast. As Angelus he came to torture Trixie/Illusia, whom he called Fiadh, but she surprised him by both allowing and encouraging his plans. Finding her willing to have Angelus, they slept together and the energy pulse from their lovemaking kept Lilah Morgan from dying. After he was ensouled, several times, Fiadh would release the bonds and they would be together . Buffy remarked, " It was impossible for Angelus to love anything. He loved Fiadh." After Fiadh's death, Angelus never rose again.
Angel: Vampire sired by Aelina/Darla who, with her, rampaged across all of Europe. After he was ensouled by the Romani, Angel left the Whirlwind and lived the next hundred years or so in isolation, barely interacting with humans to stave off the bloodlust. After being recruited by the half-demon Whistler, he came to Sunnydale to help the Slayer. He and Buffy Summers fell in love, but when they slept together, Angelus was released. He was killed to contain Acathla, though he was later resurrected. He and Buffy tried to save their relationship, but after several mishaps, he opted to leave and go to Los Angeles where he founded Angel Investigations. While there, before he formed the agency, he met and moved in with Trixie Giles, Rupert Giles's bastard. Their relationship grew and developed throughout their years fighting the Senior Partners. After Trixie/Illusia/Fiadh became the second Nyx and Angelus arose, they began a tenuous romantic relationship which was often marked by frequent quarrels about her affection for Angelus. When Uranus became the Master of the Senior Partners, Angel was cast away in the apocalyptic battle and Los Angeles became Hell. After Twilight, Angel was sent into a catatonic state; there he and Fiadh reunited and finally defeated the forces of evil through the aid of the Olympian gods. After they instituted the new Olympian Order, he and Fiadh became the rulers of the half-breed demons, the third most powerful faction in the New World.
Spike: Born William Pratt, he was turned by a lonely, mad Drusilla in London 1880. Though originally sensitive, after months of Angelus's torture and degradation, he ultimately started seeking out wild, dangerous stunts. He was the first vampire in modern times to take down a Slayer, killing her in hand to hand combat. Once Angelus was ensouled, he and Drusilla split up from Darla and continued on their own. He was on the ship that Angel took down during the war and enjoyed freedom with Darla all during the sixties. In the seventies, he killed his second Slayer and adopted his signature Billy Idol look and leather duster. He was invited by the Anointed One of the Order of Aurelius to come and kill the Slayer in Sunnydale. He messed up the Feast of St. Vigeous and still failed to kill the Slayer, mostly because he was instantly attracted to how she acted. After finally strengthening Drusilla through torturing Angel, his spine was broken. Drusilla took care of him, and they joined forces with Angel when Angelus arose. But seeing how Angelus took advantage of his weakness and feeling that destroying the world wasn't what he wanted, he decided to join forces with the Slayer. After Angel was sent to Hell, he fled with Drusilla to South America. There they broke up, and after a brief stint in Sunnydale, they got back together. They were finally over forever and Spike returned to Sunnydale to find the Gem of Amara. He got it and lost it. He was then chipped by the Initiative and ended up working for the Scoobies because he couldn't fight anything but demons. When Joyce Summers decided that she'd had enough of Sunnydale and the Initiative closed up the Hellmouth, he joined the Scoobies when they moved to Angel's Hyperion. While there, he gradually reformed, entering a relationship with Buffy, one characterized by a great deal of guilt, use, and sex, and even went so far as to earn back his soul for her, something that Angel would never have done. After Los Angeles was sent to Hell, he became the Demon Lord of Beverly Hills as Buffy was England fighting to get Slayers to help save Los Angeles, and ultimately the world. After the events of Twilight, Spike, Buffy, and Faith led the Slayer army and helped fight against Uranus. When Uranus was defeated and Olympus returned to earth, he and Buffy became the leaders of the Shanshu empire.
