Sam and Alex appeared on the ship, covered head to toe in their suits, "Go ahead and get your scans; I'll go find the stasis pods and get the DNA scans," he told her, then turned to find that they were on the bridge.
It looked like everything was running on minimum power, "That was faster than the city, " she told him as she had only taken a few seconds to get the scan.
"I know I got it almost as soon as we got here, I barely had to think about it, " he said going to a terminal and finding that there were two pods in recesses, "Found the captain and second in command, " he said as he walked past them to read the terminal to see if he could find the rest of the crew.
"If you have a scan why are you using the terminal?" Sam asked while joining him.
"Habit mostly but it mainly so I don't start relying on the information and it possibly leading to trouble, we get the scans true but they don't tell us if there are radiation or other harmful things in the area," he explained while he found the environmental readings and found that there was nothing harmful then the pods.
"Oh, I didn't think of that; most of the time, we've gotten our scans from safe locations. It never occurred to me to think of enclosed places like this," she said after thinking it over.
Alex nodded and then looked over the layout of the ship finding the pods were nearby, "Now I have to figure out how to touch them without waking them," he said while tapping on a few icons and then slapped his head, "The pods have nano intravenous injection points for the sedatives so I may already have the DNA."
Closing his eyes he focused on the scan of the ship, after sifting through the technical information he did indeed find that his powers had been able to gather the DNA from four hundred different people, "I'm done, the nano intravenous points also monitor the progress of the stasis until the person is fully under and help with the waking process as well," he told her as he moved the DNA scans to another mental folder.
"Okay, let's go; if we stay too long, I'll want to help these people," she said, looking toward the captain and se and in command.
"Let's go find a home point first, we can travel to a StarTrek later, we need to settle down a bit we've been going from reality to reality and not really spending time in them for the last week, " Sam pointed out as she took her place.
"Yeah, okay, we can do that; I'll look for a version where Jack and Carter are supposed to die in the ice cavern in the Antarctic outpost," he said while focusing on opening the doors to the spaceport when they were far enough away from the other ship.
"Why go to one like that?" Kira asked as she scanned the terminal to make sure they were going to clear the doors, which was not necessary, but it gave her something to do.
"In those realities, the Goaúld or Ori win," Alex said after they sat down and the doors were closed.
"We can handle the Goaúld easily in ship-to-ship battles, but I'm not going to endanger Athena in a battle with a group of ships, and the Ori is on the level of planet-bound Gods who can affect even me for the time being."
"Oh, I've not seen much on them yet. I only watched a few episodes of the show then I would get distracted by Karen when she gets bored, " Kira said while bopping Karen on the nose.
Sam smiled, "It's fine once we get there and start making changes, so what we know will fly out the wind; we were just fact-finding and getting a read on some of the people we'll be working with."
Alex stood, "Alright let's get going, remember I want to drop some clones off to get Atlantis working and ready for the possibility of the SGC sending a team to find the ancients and new technology to send home, i want to limit their messing around, especially McKay I want to find a way to keep him on earth while he did grow to be a better person it took blowing up a solar system then accidentally killing Carson Beckett, he messed up too much before that."
"Right, Carter and I can do something about him, I've been thinking about it and if I'm right the N.I.D or The Trust got him in the SGC as an unknown mole, I won't know until we get there but with his attitude I think he has caused more trouble than was mentioned in the show, " Sam said while she went to pick up Karen so Kira could get out of her seat.
"I'll go find the show and watch it in my room, " Kira said, " I need to see what the people are like at least."
"There are quite a few seasons, but you can get a good read on the main people if you watch the first two seasons," Sam told her as she followed Alex down the entry ramp Kira not far behind.
Alex walked to one of the open docks and held up his hands, focusing on the information of the Ancient ship, slowly he let his power build the ship, after a few minutes it was done and the docks maintenance arms grabbed it, as they did the repair functions took over to ensure that it was flight-worthy, he did this again the last free dock as the other still had three Patentia resting on it.
Alex nodded, then looked to Sam, who was watching him work, "Did you make any changes from the original build?"
"Yeah I added three Patentia sockets, one for shields, another for weapons and the last is for a backup in case one of the systems needs the extra power, now for the crews I changed the plan a bit, we're not going to drop them off twenty years before the SGC is formed but a day before we go for Jack and Carter, its still nearly ten years before the Atlantis expedition so that will be enough time for them to fix up the city and build up a response to the Wraith waking up if the Geni nuke that downed ship."
"Right, we can do that do you have a plan for them other than working on the city?" she asked after thinking about the added Potentia.
Alex shrugged, "Not really; each ship can hold five hundred people. I was thinking of a full crew evenly split on the genders and letting them couple as they want; with a thousand, they won't need to worry about inbreeding before the SGC sends the team."
Sam smiled, "You want them to, one day, down the line cross-breeding with the humans to rebuild the Alteran people, don't you?"
Alex nodded, "Yeah that's one thing I've thought about but mostly its to stop Helia from taking over the city and kicking out the humans from Earth, her people abandoned the city and galaxy, so they don't have the right to do that."
Sam nodded, then turned to the house, "I'm going to take this one to the house, it's almost time for dinner." she said, bouncing Karen on her hip.
Alex nodded, he watched as she walked away for a second then began focusing on the clones for the ships and Atlantis, for two hours he created clones, varying their genetics so that none were related, while it wasn't physically straining it did take a toll mentally to ensure each was different and all at about twenty years in age.
Stepping back after the last clone was finished he looked them over and nodded, "Welcome to life everyone, you all should know why I've cloned you and while I can control you I am not going to do that other than give you one order fix up Atlantis, choose a ship and and get familiar with it, pair up as you want, do not go after the Wraith before the SGC send its team, I think four hundred per ship and two hundred on Atlantis, pick a council, change all the codes, if Helia shows up do not let her have the city, its probably best to keep the city from sending out any signals, other than all of that your lives are yours, you have twenty four hours before you leave for Atlantis."
Alex watched as the new Alterans began speaking with each other, nodding he turned to leave when four came to him.
"We'll be the captains of the ships," one of the males pointed to himself and one of the females, "We may have gotten a brief overview of what you have planned, but what should we do about the two ships that are drifting beside the Tria?"
"Yeah I forgot those, go ahead and pick them up and tow them to the shipyard on that planet with the volcano and repair them, do not force the people living there off the planet, you can help them with technology but do not give them the ability to use Alteran specific stuff, if the Travelers are around the ship that needs to be cleansed of radiation just tractor the ship away they aren't ready for that level of technology either, I'm going to another world that has a repair platform that I will copy and build here eventually I'll let them use it to fix and build ships at the same level of their ships later."
They nodded, "Yes Sir, we'll vote on the council members tonight, we've decided to rotate the members of the ships with the people in the city to allow us to keep from getting complacent, we may need another group of clones to help with the ships ," the female captain said after he finished speaking.
Alex nodded "We'll work on that later, once I leave the house in reality I'm time-locked so won't be able to travel back unless we get a time machine, which I know where one is we just wanted you guys to prepare the city for the expedition," he told them while debating on more clones.
Alex nodded looked around the spaceport, and then turned to the one landing pad where he placed the Patentia, walking to it he created nine more Patentia aside from the three still there, the captains had followed him,
"Sir is it not better to build a Patentia satellite?" Asked the male captain.
Alex nodded, " Yeah it's needed but I don't want to put them out there yet, if the Wraith get awakened they could find it and use it to power their cloning facilities and overwhelm the Galaxy again and this time they'll kill everyone in their hunger, " he said placing the last empty Patentia then taking the three charged ones and passed them to the captains. "Make sure to keep them safe thos three are for Atlantis."
They nodded, took them, and then walked away to the ships; they would still have to wait for the four Patentia in each to fully charge; Alex watched them go, then turned to Athena, who, in her resting state, looked like a huge egg.
"How are you doing after your first time using your systems?" he asked as he walked to her.
'I'm fine; my systems are going through a few checks; the wormhole drive needed to re-calculate the path several times before it could match the proper background frequency to not cut the reality barriers like those mirrors.'
"Yeah, we don't need to be doing that; make sure to keep checking on that system; although we may use the mirrors later, there is no telling what can happen if we cut a hole in the barriers using the wormhole drive," Alex said after some thought.
'Okay, other than that, I'm unsure about the rest of the systems. We didn't use the weapons, so I don't know if there are any problems with them.' Athena said while she shifted through her weapons growing them on her hull.
"We'll test them and your shields next time we go out, " he told her then looked over to the door to the house as it opened to let Kira through.
"I thought you were going to watch some TV?" he asked when she came over to him and Athena.
"Yeah I was but you can only watch so much before you get tired of it, plus it has been a few hours, I think I have a good understanding of the people we are going to be dealing with, O'Neill while smart acts like a fool but comes through in a pinch when they need it, if it is his team he'll go to the ends of the earth for them, Daniel Jackson is smart and isn't far from being like O'Neill, Teal'c is loyal to the team and the SGC is secondary to him, at first it was just a means to an end in his wanting to be free of the Goaúld but over time he has grown to care for the team and Carter is just like our Sam without the powers, brilliant and caring but can get lost in her projects, " she said while looking over to the ships and the crews who were still dividing up to work on the ships they would crew.
Alex nodded, then looked around, "They'll be waiting for their ships to change up; we'll drop them off in the same system as Atlantis, then go get O'Neill and Carter out of a frozen grave before it becomes theirs. "
"Yeah, I watched the episode where they will end up in that cave; I know it was just a show, but with the injuries, they got coming through the gate, they shouldn't have lasted the three or four days they were there without food and water."
"Drama helps people love the characters, we're going to a world where they didn't survive, I plan on grabbing them after they come through the gate,"
"What about the outpost?"
Alex shrugged, "Scans of the planet where they can see it, then offer to help them get to it; I plan to act as an Alteran descendent who is looking for others."
Kira nodded, "And the rest of us?"
Alex smiled, "Millions of years of evolution we are a branch that is from a galaxy a few galactic clusters over if they ask we're the last of our people after a galactic merger because we weren't in stasis while our people's ships were flung through a natural wormhole to unknown regions of the universe."
"And our powers?"
"We've been living on planets that have stronger gravity and evolved over the years to be like we are, don't worry about if you say something strange to them it'll just be seen as a cultural thing, just watch out for Daniel he'll ask question after question until you are ready to pop his head like a grape."
"Alright, I'll be careful with that; I'll tell Sam so she's not caught off guard; we'll be staying here for a while instead of just popping in and out like the last few worlds," Kira said before walking back to the house.
Alex nodded, then turned back to Athena, "Get some rest and let the pad take care of anything you may need; we'll be moving to another world later. "
'Okay, I'll be ready to fly when you need me to. ' Athena replied while she was still morphing weapons around her hull ensuring she could cover all angles.
Alex smiled as he watched her playing with her weapons, "Good, well now that things are set, I'm going to get something to eat, then sleep, I think. "
He then walked to the door and up to th main level of the house to find Sam and Karen watching a cartoon that had powered girls flying around fighting a monkey with a funny hat on ots head.
"Foods on the table, Misty, is getting huffy about you taking so long to come to eat; hurry up so she can clean up, " Sam told him without looking away from the TV.
Alex nodded then went to the dining table to find a plate of sandwiches and chips waiting for him, "Thanks Misty," he called out as he sat and ate.
"You're welcome, but next time, I'll let Karen eat your food, " Misty answered as she popped in and filled his glass with sweet tea.
"Yes ma'am, " he said between bites.
After he finished eating, he joined Sam and Karen on the couch, "I'm thinking about making a quick trip to StarTrek: Enterprise for that repair station. It'll be a quick in and out."
Sam nodded, "Just don't take too long. It's almost time for bed, and you know I can't get to sleep without you there."
"Yeah, I know, and I didn't plan on staying there longer than it would take to copy it and possibly upgrade it to not need to kidnap people to act as a CPU."
Saying that, he stood from the couch, touching the doorframe. He focused on the StarTrek universe, then looked for the repair station that Archer used to fix the Enterprise nx01 after a battle; he then looked over to Sam with a shit-eating grin.
"What do you think would happen if I come back here and drop off a colony of Alterans?"
Sam sighed, "Not until the Voyager is ready to search in the badlands for that ship Tuvok, any other time frame would cause havoc for the federation although it would be funny to see the reaction of the Q or the Prophets."
Alex shrugged then looked out the window to find the station opening up to allow the Enterprise nx01 to dock, "Umm I wanted to get here before they got here but oh well I'll just sneak on while they are there, " he said while focusing to move the door to an out of the way room on the station.
Opening the door, he stepped through and began to scan and copy the station; when he found the room with the dead aliens attached to the station, he shuddered, " Alright, station, I have an offer."
A console beeped gaining his attention, 'Please define the offer.'
"I offer you a new and more advanced computer core, removing your need for organic brains to make your computations. The only request I have is that you not share its schematics for two hundred years by the calendar of the ship that is now docking for repairs."
"Please supply a sample.'
Alex nodded then made a personal computer from the schematics from Atlantis' file." This is a smaller form of the computer, the one I offer is a trillion times in capability better than this one,"
'This unit can replace a single one of this station's organic CPU tethers, agreeable offer.'
Alex nodded then looked around the room as it began to fill with oxygen comparable to that of Earth, "Huh forgot about that well let's get this done, " he said while walking over to the panel that opened to allow him to access the room with the remains of several dead aliens, "Please remove the bodies they are in the way. "
A light filled the room for a few seconds then it was gone, and with it gone so were the bodies, he held out his hands, focusing on the schematics for the main computer to Atlantis, shaping it to fit the area he began creation, it took a few minutes to make but when it was finished the station's cables attached themselves to the computer after a scan and the attachments shifted to fit.
Returning to the room the panel closed behind him, 'All systems functions are now available at four hundred percent.' the screen readout said.
"Good, that should allow the station to function without needing an organic CPU; please conceal the new computer for the next two hundred years," Alex said while watching the room change to accommodate the crew of the Enterprise.
Just as he was walking through the door back to the house, he heard the tinkling humming of the StarTrek transporters, looking back he saw T'Pol Archer and Tucker materializing; T'Pol was facing him when she saw him closing the door, her eyes widening; he smiled and waved to her then fully shut the door.
Back in the station, T'Pol lifted her Tri-quarter and began scanning the space. She had seen the human-looking man disappear through a door; Archer followed her after ensuring that they were alone, "T'Pol, what's wrong?"
"I am unsure; as we materialized, I observed a human male stepping through a door here; I am detecting a faint anaphasic signature on this surface," T'Pol said while she scanned.
"Maybe it was one of the people that built this place, they were probably here to do a diagnostic on the systems, " Tucker said while looking at one of the tables, "Our scans of the hull did indicate that it is over a thousand years old."
"That is a logical conclusion, but why continue to maintain this station if they can move using anaphasic energies?" T'Pol asked.
"Studying who comes to the station, maybe." Archer guessed.
"Logical, the station did connect to the ship's computer to obtain the information it needed to repair the ship, " she said while closing the Tri-quarter after the readings faded beyond what the device could read.
Neither noticed the door opening again and a hand reaching out to take the computer Alex had set down for the station to scan.
Alex closed the door again after getting the computer; turning, he saw Sam shaking her head, "Let's just hope nobody tries to get to that computer. "
Alex shrugged, "That station is old it can hide the computer until the time I gave it by then it won't be too far above the stuff the federation has, if I'm not mistaken the area it is in the humans will claim this sector in about a hundred years and use the station to fix ships and in another fifty years they moved it to Earth to study its replicating functions."
Sam shrugged, It's going to be a long time before we go back to that reality, while they are advanced I don't know about that reality I'll need to watch it if we're going to even spend time there later, " she said before picking up a sleepy Karen who didn't even fuss when she carried her off to bed.
Alex nodded, then followed her until she turned into Karen's room to put her to bed; he continued to his and Sam's room, where he stripped and went to the bathroom to get a shower so he wouldn't have to fight for it in the morning, Sam joined him shortly, she helped him with his back after that things got a little out of hand, they didn't get to bed for another hour.
Out of reflex, Alex grabbed the covers just as Karen threw open the door and ran and jumped on the bed and hugged him, "Morning sweetie, Mommy is in the bathroom. Go see what she's doing, " he told her before kissing her on the forehead.
"Okay," she chirped before jumping from the bed and running to the bathroom.
Alex got out of bed when the door closed, and his clothes formed around him, exiting the room he found Kira closing her room door and headed for the dining room, joining her he smiled at her and received one in return, "Good morning, any plans we need to know about?" she asked as she sat in her place and began eating her western omelet.
Alex shook his head, "Not much has changed from what I told you yesterday, I went ahead and got the station to repair ships, I'm going to send one with the two ships to help them fix things up and possibly the Travelers, other than that we are going to be just dropping them off and moving to Earth."
"Yeah, I don't get that; I thought there was a time lock when you open the door to a place?"
Alex shook his head, "No as long as I stay in the house or spaceport its fine, once I step foot in a reality I create a link to that reality, you Sam or Karen could leave the place and not create the link, its part of my traveling powers so I know where I've been, " he then shrugged, " I'm still learning it all and most of it is instinctual."
By the time he finished speaking, Sam and Karen had joined them at the table, "If that's so, why didn't you send me to the station to scan it?" Sam asked while spreading some ketchup on her omelet.
"The computer, I can make one faster than you can and I just barely got back into the house before Archer and his group got there."
Sam nodded, then turned to Kira, "Did you learn much about the people we are going to be dealing with?" at that question, Kira nodded.
They spoke about the people of the SGC, "I don't like McKay even if he did grow up on the expedition. Even then, it took most of the time in Atlantis to do it. If you can make sure he doesn't go, he destroyed a planet filled with dinosaurs messing with that weapon."
Alex nodded, "We'll see about that; I'm sure Carter will love that. I'm not even sure when he will show up, but the first thing he does is insult Carter and then nearly destroys the facility trying to figure out how to work something."
"Yeah, that's not going to happen; if I have anything to do with it, his reputation will be destroyed, and he will not be able to get a teaching job in the worst school in the world. "
Alex looked to Sam who was frowning, "Just make sure you don't get in trouble."
Sam shrugged, "What are they going to do to me? throw me in jail or kick me off of the planet, jail or prison I can leave any time I want, leave the planet, sure I can do that we have ships and more than likely just meet up with SG1 off-world to do some missions,"
Alex hummed, then nodded, " Alright, just remember, if the world powers do that, no more sharing technology," he said with a grin that would have sent chills down the spines of the future I.O.A.
After that, they finished eating, Kira went to the living room to watch some movies with Karen, it looked like they were watching a my little pony movie.
Alex and Sam went to the spaceport, when they entered they found the crews of the ships milling around, when they saw the two they all came to attention.
Alex shook his head, "You guys aren't under my command, I just want you all to work on city and build up the defenses and get everything ready for the Wraith." Sam was laughing at his discomfort.
The captians stepped forward and saluted, "We've decided you are our Supreme commander even if you are sending us to clean up the mess left behind, should you join us in the years to come we'll await your return, " the male captain said the rest of the crew members nodding.
Sighing he nodded, "Fine just make sure you guys are safe, " he said then went to the landing pad that held the now fully charged Patentia, gathering them in his hammerspace then held out his hands he focused on the station he had changed in his mind, he had mixed the technology, upgrading some parts with Alteran parts mainly adding a computer core, as well as adding three sockets for power, he then began the build, with the changes he made it took nearly an hour to finish, when it was finished the station was just short in matching the Alteran ships.
"We'll let it change up for the next few hours, when that's done we'll send you all off." just after he spoke a bright flash filled the area for a second before it faded to reveal a very winded looking man in a uniform matching the clothes Archer and his people wore, when he stood he looked like a young John de Lancie.
Alex groaned, "What are you doing here Q?"
Huffing Q shakily stood, "I'm here to see what you're doing in this universe, you've just added a piece of technology that will change the future, " he said while catching his breath.
"It's on a timmer The station will guard the computer core until just as they start designing the intrepid class ships, by then the computer won't be too far advanced than what they're going to have, you'll just have to keep the Voyager crew from figuring out that it can be used to calculate the slipstream variables."
Q nodded, "That's fine and all but it's not just that, you've introduced something that will change so much that even we Q will be on the outside looking in for the next millennia, "
Alex grinned, " And what such sweet chaos that will be."
Q returned his grin, " There is that, though I do have to ask, will you return?"
Alex looked to Sam, then shrugged, "Not until around the time Voyager is sent into the badlands after Tuvok and the Maquis; we may join them from time to time if they are doing something fun; I do want to get a look at the Station that the Caretaker has."
"Oh that's easy we can move you to that time easily, and the nice part of that is it won't affect the time in the other places you have been to, we just can't bring you back to the past, your power would stop us, " Q said while his grin grew bigger and almost insane looking.
Alex looked to Sam who was listening, " What does the Q want from us?" she asked while crossing her arms across her chest.
Q pouted, which didn't work as his grin didn't move from his face, "We want them." he said, pointing to the two crews of Alterans.
"Why do you want Alterans?" Sam asked glaring at Q.
"Their people are millions of years old, and some will want to ascend; the Q will be moving on in the next few centuries, and we want to have someone to take our place when we do," he told them, his face taking a serious mean.
"Picard, " Alex gasped.
Q pointed at him, "We'll become nearly mortal before we reach the next level of existence, everyone will assume we've died, billions of cycles and this is the last one for us, once we go over that step we'll never be able to interact with the mortals as we have been or we'll destroy the universe, my last act in this universe will be helping Jean Luc to stall the borg queens long enough for Seven of Nine to take control and end the war, we'll need that temporal singularity they'll create to leave this cluster so we don't cause it to collapse."
Alex sank to the floor, "This is a godly nesting cluster, isn't it?"
"Yep." Q said popping the p.
Alex nodded from his place on the floor, " We'll need to find a empty solar system that nobody will find in the next few hundred years, they'll need a place to grow and work on ascending. "
Q nodded "We've got a few places down here in the mortal Plane's where we can go and get away for a time."
Sam looked confused for a moment, "Godly nesting cluster?"
Alex nodded, "There are some things I've been thinking about, and one of those things was where gods came from, and I guessed that there were some reality clusters that were where gods are born and grew until they reached the proper level then they go make or join pantheons."
"I thought God's were born from the belief of the people of a world."
"Some do form like that, but they don't survive that long when their people either die out or stop believing they will fade away; someone has to step in to take up the domains, or some realities will collapse," he then pointed to Q, who was nodding.
"I think I'll make a good Loki." Q said. All the while, his grin didn't fade.
Alex nodded, then pushed himself off of the floor, "Fine, just make sure your people allow them the choice; not all of them will have the drive or ability to ascend, plus they need to reach that level by themselves. Helping them only gets them so far."
Q nodded, "We know, once we helped people reach our level. Do you remember that episode where Kirk's enterprise found that planet with the people could bend reality to their will, well at least on that planet?"
"Not really, I was working my way through Stargate and just came here for the station, I didn't plan on staying here, but if you want me to give this reality Alterans we'll set them up here in this time, by the time Picard and you pull your trick some will have made the step you want."
Q nodded, "We'll watch over them, but that's about it. They won't need to be guided like some other races."
Alex nodded, "That's fine let's get this over with, come along." he said leading Q to the house and through the door, he just forgot one thing, that was to move the door, the three walked into the station where the crew members of the Enterprise were studying what parts of the station it would allow them to.
Sam looked around, then slapped Alex on the back of the head, "We're going to get in trouble; you know these people are not ready to be contacted by us," she snapped, making up an excuse on the spot.
Alex grabbed his head because she used Kryptonian strength in the slap, "I'm sorry I forgot to reset the portal," he said while Q was smirking.
Archer and T'Pol, who were discussing something, came over; Archer held his phase pistol at his hip; T'Pol was holding her Tri-quarter scanning them, while Tucker and Reed stood back but covered them with their weapons.
When the two were a few feet away from Alex and his group, Archer began to speak, but Alex held up a hand, "No, Jonathan, I cannot give you technology, nor can I tell you of my people."
"And you, T'Pol, need to stop trying to scan us with your little toy. It will only tell you that we are human as we want it to be, " Sam said while behind her back, she used her Omni tool to rewrite what the Tri-quarter was getting from them.
Archer, while keeping a calm facade, his eyes held anger, "Why, are we not advanced enough for contact or sharing technology?"
Alex shook his head, "Would you trust an ape with your technology? Even some of your safest things can destroy, and even now, you're barely able to travel beyond the speed of light while warping space; my people grew beyond that mode of travel millions of years ago."
"How do we grow if nobody will share their technology?" Archer growled out, his eyes cutting to T'Pol for a second before returning to Alex; he was still angry that the Vulcan council would not help the Earth's people with more technology.
"You don't grow when it's just given to you," Alex shook his head and then looked to T'Pol, who kept her Vulcan mask up, but he could see the underlying frustration in her eyes.
"Your people should have left the humans on their planet, they weren't ready to join the other races amongst the stars," he spoke softly.
T'Pol didn't answer with words but did give a small nod that only Alex, Sam, and Q noticed; Archer, on the other hand, grew angry.
"We earned our place in the stars."
"No, you didn't, Zofram Cochrane did, the rest of your people were cowering in caves, you are only riding his shirt tail, you've all tried to bully the Vulcan council to give you something you've not earned if I weren't bound by laws beyond your simple-minded understanding I would throw you, humans back to your dirt ball and strip you of all your knowledge and technology then block the other races from you for a thousand years." Q said while flashing a smile that sent shivers through the crew members even T'Pol.
"Come on, Quinn, we need to get going; I am getting tired of feeling these humans oozing unearned superiority," Alex said while closing the door.
Sam shrugged, "I find their way of thinking that they deserve everything to be given to them on a silver platter to be hilarious but we do have better things to do."
Q snapped his fingers and moved them to a planet, "That was fun I think I'll join his crew for a time and see what he dose, but that Vulcan also interests me, she is there to help them but also ensure they don't run with scissors."
Alex nodded, "Yeah they are good people but they don't want to earn stuff just be given it, " all the time he was speaking he was cloning Alterans, several hours later he had made an equal numbers of five thousand male and five thousand female Alterans, then he created a new city ship in a large inland sea, he then passed over three Patentia.
"Watch over them but let them grow, the city has all the information they need to ascend if they want." Alex told Q as the Alterans moved to the city.
Q nodded, " We'll watch over them, now I'll take you to the future."
Sam watched the people going, "You know we've brought a race to a new reality, should we balance that by bringing a new race to the Stargate reality?"
Alex shrugged, "We can but which,?"
"The Vulcan are for the most part a neutral people, there are a few planets similar to the Vulcan home world." she answered.
"Alright, we'll go with them. Q will take us to the Vulcan world a year before the Voyager is ready to go; that way, if we get distracted, we won't miss it if we want to join them," Alex said with a shrug, while Q flashed them to the time they wanted between two buildings.
"Well, it's been fun, but I can't stay long; two of me is too much for a time," Q said, disappearing in a flash, only for his older self to join them.
"How are they?" Alex asked.
"They've grown well in the last few hundred years, they have a population in the millions now though they did have to resort to using birthing pods to reach those numbers because they had a low fertility rate it was almost chaos the first forty years, each couple were raising two or three children at a time but it's going well a few made the step into ascension recently and more join them every day," Q told them with a smile.
"That's good to hear, we are going to go around getting scans of the Vulcan people and their tech to give them something to work with in the other reality," Alex said while getting ready to leave the alley.
Q held out an orb, "We thought you would want some of that; this has their latest technology and ten thousand samples of their DNA, five of each gender; once you choose the planet for them, just place it on the ground and sit back, it also holds a computer with their knowledge."
Alex nodded, taking the orb, "Thanks, but I'll still need to get a few scans from a few Vulcan people to get their mental templates."
Q nodded, "That's fine we just thought to help a bit, now I do have an appointment with Ben," he said disappearing with a grin.
Sam looked at him confused, "Mental template?"
Alex nodded, "Yeah if I don't get a template, the clones will come out with primal minds."
Sam nodded, then looked to the alley entrance, "Well, let's go."
Alex smiled, took her hand, and led her out of the alley; they walked around what they found to be the location of the alien embassies.
As they were using a kiosk to get directions to the Vulcan Council chambers, two Vulcans dressed in security uniforms came to their sides, "Please come with us." one of them said while he kept watch over the two and his partner scanned the crowd.
Alex smiled, "Sure, if I may ask where are you taking us?" he asked.
"The Science Council and the Security Council want to meet with you." the one that first spoke answered.
They walked through the small town-like area of the embassy buildings, now and then Sam would see something that looked interesting, and each time she did she would inspect it, most of what she inspected was clothing which she had scans of, the security officers didn't try to hurry them so it took almost an hour to leave the area.
When they exited the embasorial town they found that they were not far from a purely Vulcan city, the buildings were organized and arranged in a functional but almost artful way.
Alex nodded as they walked, "Your people have beautiful architecture."
"Yes so we've been told," the security officer said pride in his eyes and voice that was well hidden, if they weren't in the Kryptonian state neither Alex and Sam would have noticed it.
The walk took another ten minutes, by which time Sam had gathered more samples of clothes this time purely Vulcan in style, "For a people who live with a logical view of the world you guys do some wonderful work in art and clothing," she said after seeing a sculpture of what looked like twisting rings that seemed to move as you walked past it.
"Logic does not prevent us from seeing beauty in the universe, it allows us to keep our minds where uncontrolled emotion would lead us to our violent past."
Alex nodded, "With your telepathic abilities uncontrolled emotions would spread like fire, I'm surprised that the other races haven't put it together, which reminds me, do not try to use any form of mind reading on either of our minds are protected by powerful shields that will destroy any intrusion, it not something we control." Alex told them as they entered a tall building with Vulcans moving about, they were led to a spartan room that only had a few chairs.
"I shall inform the council members," the second officer said while they took seats to wait for the council to call them.
For another ten minutes they sat and spoke quietly trying to figure out why they were called to meet the council.
"We did come here with Q's help, they may want to know if he is up to something or to find out if we were abducted from a time in the past, he's been known to do that before," Alex said while Sam was having her Omni tool scan the area for listening devices and found nothing.
"Yeah that's probably it, they'll try to find out then either try and isolate us or send us back to where they think we come from."
Alex nodded, "Yeah that's one possibility, I want to say I've read a book or saw something like it somewhere."
"The council is ready to meet with you," the security officer who stayed with them announced after the other had returned to get them.
