Dear Readers,
I regret to inform you that this story will not receive new updates for an indefinite period.
Campanella opened her eyes, this time wearing one of the pajamas her mother had gifted her.
She felt very happy, as she had experienced a wonderful day and was able to spend quality time with her mother. She even got to see how her mother and father interacted… at least a little. She knew she couldn't ask for too much! After all, they treated each other like strangers (which they were), but… at least they acknowledged each other's existence, and that was enough for her.
She wondered when she might see her again… However, this didn't make her feel sad at all. Things would happen when they were meant to, and just seeing her had made her incredibly happy.
She would treasure each of her mother's gifts with great care.
Although she had to admit it was a little, hmm, amusing, seeing the acrobatics her poor father had to perform to fit all the clothes into the small space where they stayed! Oh well!
In the end, he managed to do it, so she decided to carry on as if nothing had happened.
"Good morning, Campanella!" Bell approached the girl, patting the top of her head with one hand, which made her feel quite happy.
"Did you sleep well?"
"Yes, perfectly!" the girl responded with a smile, which made him feel equally happy in return.
"That's great! It's time for breakfast. Our goddess already left for work earlier."
He couldn't help but sigh; she was truly working so hard for them…
"We're going to do our best too, alright?"
"I wouldn't ask for anything else!" she replied again with a smile, getting out of bed to hug one of Bell's legs.
He stood there, touched by the gesture. Wow… his daughter was so sweet and adorable; he couldn't feel happier about her, even if he still found it a bit overwhelming to think of her as, well, his daughter.
But that didn't matter! It was his duty to take care of her. So, even though he had told her they could go on adventures together—and he didn't plan to break that promise—he would keep a close eye on her.
That thought seemed a little silly, considering the fact that, evidently, Campanella was much stronger than him, at least for the moment. But he was still the adult! Also, a member of her family! And more importantly—her father! So, it didn't matter.
After eating, Bell and Campanella left together toward the dungeon. As they walked, Bell's mind wandered back to Eina's words from the previous day. A supporter, huh? Yes, he needed one. But where could he find someone he trusted enough for that? It was a difficult question and situation.
But he didn't have to ponder for too long.
"Young man, young man… and young lady!"
Both Bell and Campanella turned, thinking the call was directed at them, which turned out to be true. A short girl in long robes had called out to them in a cheerful voice. Upon seeing her clearly, both of them recognized her instantly.
"You're the girl from last night," Bell said. At the same time, Campanella pointed at her while nodding, as if they were synchronized. The girl found this hilarious but suppressed her laughter with a simple smile and shook her head.
"Perhaps you're a bit confused: my name is Liliruca. I'm just a poor supporter looking for work! I'm at the service of any adventurer who needs help."
"Hmm…" Campanella didn't fully believe her words. After all, she had also witnessed what happened last night. Were they really not the same person? Seeing the obvious doubt on the girl's face, Liliruca decided to be more precise with her words.
"Come on, don't you need help? I saw you with that backpack from a distance. It's unusual for an adventurer to go out like that."
"Why don't you tell us what happened? You're that Prum girl," Bell questioned again, though this time with a hint of doubt in his voice, which Campanella also picked up on. Had they seen wrong? Although she was very good at recognizing faces and places...
"Prum? Not at all! I'm a therianthrope. Look."
At that moment, Liliruca pulled back the hood of her robe, revealing a pair of ears the same color as her hair that moved from side to side and forward.
Campanella's eyes lit up at the sight. It wasn't the first time she had noticed something like that, but she stood on tiptoes to touch them, surprising the other girl, who tried to hide her discomfort.
"Miss… Please, stop that…"
"S-Sorry!" Campanella immediately felt embarrassed, withdrawing her hand from the other girl's ears. Though she had to admit, they felt very soft, like those of a real animal. Bell worried for a moment, but he couldn't help feeling touched as well. He had also felt the urge to touch them!
For now, it was best to try talking to her.
"Campanella is a very curious child; she didn't mean any harm," he quickly clarified, and the girl nodded along with her father's words. "Alright, if you have something to offer, we'll hear you out."
At that moment, neither of them could see it, but the girl smiled, feeling it was her lucky day.
The group eventually headed to the dungeon, where Bell and Campanella demonstrated their combined skills: Bell was now able to keep up with the pace of battle—something he hadn't even dreamed of before—while Campanella could sustain a continuous attack without worrying about protecting everyone, as that responsibility had been handed to their new supporter.
Liliruca couldn't help but be impressed by their abilities.
How could they defeat monsters so easily?
After all, she had been accepted because they supposedly needed help, but the two of them seemed to manage just fine on their own.
The one who intrigued her the most was the little girl. She was so small—at least in terms of appearance or age—but that weapon she wielded… wow! It was the first time Liliruca had ever seen such a display. Without a doubt, it looked extraordinary, and she couldn't take her eyes off of it.
The weapon seemed capable of changing its abilities at will, or so it appeared, though Lili didn't quite understand how it worked. Did the girl channel her magic through it? It didn't really matter to her, though. What truly piqued Lili's interest wasn't how it functioned… but its value.
Surely, anyone with magical capabilities like the little girl would want to use a weapon like that. It was unprecedented and responded to her commands without much effort. Lili could see perfectly how the girl switched from fire attacks to wind as if it were nothing. Each element was wielded as gracefully as any renowned and experienced elf would manage, all coming from a small elven child.
She couldn't help but feel a twinge of envy. Perhaps, if she were as useful as Campanella, she wouldn't suffer so much within her own "family."
But now wasn't the time to dwell on such thoughts.
On the other hand, while Bell's knife wasn't as flashy as the umbrella, Lili still found it impressive. It could slice through monsters as if it were a much larger blade. In fact, he made it look like destroying those creatures was nothing at all. How long had he been an adventurer? Considering how young he looked…
Both of them were incredibly skilled. Now that she thought about it, perhaps all families that truly supported each other worked like this. She kept her distance, watching them closely as she offered support from the rear.
Campanella felt a little strange since her role used to be much more like Lili's, staying back rather than attacking. But that wasn't a bad thing. She was starting to realize that, while she wanted to inherit all of her mother's techniques, she also aspired to act with her father's courage and become a great adventurer. Somehow, she felt she was achieving that now!
Firing her umbrella, she unleashed flames that consumed several monsters, while Bell sliced or decapitated them one by one with his knife. They finished without much trouble, feeling less fatigued thanks to their new companion's efforts. In fact, it was almost as if nothing had happened.
Maybe it had been a good idea to let Liliruca join them after all!
"Thank you so much, Liliruca. You've been a great help," Bell said, still inside the dungeon as he finished gathering the monster parts they could exchange for money.
"It's nothing… You two are very skilled adventurers. Honestly, I find it strange that you don't have more people with you. Wow!"
"We got all the monsters! I knew we could do it!" Campanella exclaimed, hugging her father's leg. Of course, she wanted to help him finish up, but she was also overwhelmed with the joy of being able to come this far with him. She felt like they made an amazing team.
Bell sincerely felt the same. At this moment, it was as if his strength had increased—a notion he would have thought impossible before—and the driving force behind this was Campanella.
"Thank you for all your efforts. You did an amazing job," he said to her with a warm smile.
Their supporter observed the scene with a smile of her own… albeit a slightly fabricated one. Oh, how wonderful it must be to take things as lightly as this pair did. But for someone like her, such a luxury wasn't an option.
The next day, Bell went to speak with Eina, telling her about his new companion.
The elf felt much more at ease and happy that someone was helping them, as a larger party was always safer to avoid danger. However, a small emergency light went off in her mind—it hadn't been her who assigned this person to him.
"Tell me, Bell, do you know which Familia this girl belongs to?"
"Well, she said she was from the Soma Familia," Bell replied after trying to recall for a moment.
"Soma Familia…" Eina repeated, her expression turning more serious.
"You know, that Familia is very unusual."
"Why do you say that?"
"Well… whenever you see them, they always look desperate, as if something very important is missing. They have an excessive urgency for money."
Bell was surprised by those words. Liliruca hadn't given him that impression at all—she had been very helpful and kind.
"Really? Yesterday, we did very well together in the dungeon…"
"Did you? Well, I believe you. It's not good to be prejudiced against people we don't know. If it worked out, that's fine. But never let your guard down, alright? Remember, Campanella also depends on you."
"Yes! I promise to stay alert. But she really seems like a good person. Look! I managed to get all this thanks to her," Bell said as he showed her the loot he had collected. Eina smiled at the sight; she didn't want to get involved in something that could be misinterpreted.
"Alright, that's good. The rest is up to you."
While they were talking, Bell touched his hip, feeling it lighter than usual. Then, he realized a certain space in the back felt far too empty. Alarmed, he reached for his knife—only to find it wasn't there.
All the color drained from Bell's face, and he couldn't help but shout in shock and uncertainty. This couldn't be happening!
Outside, Campanella was sitting on a bench with her weapon held tightly in her arms, drawing curious looks from the people entering and leaving the guild. She was waiting for her father to return for her, just as he had asked. When he did, she immediately noticed how agitated he seemed, making her alert at once.
"What's wrong?"
"Campanella, by any chance, do you have my knife?"
Bell couldn't recall giving it to her, and his worst fear was confirmed when the girl shook her head. Bell felt his hope vanish… His knife—the one his goddess had worked so hard to give him, which had been so useful—was gone.
Bell was torn between an overwhelming urge to cry, something the girl noticed right away. She moved closer to hug him as best she could, surprising him with the gesture. He didn't need to be a genius to understand her intentions, and yet, he found it so sweet that it brought him back to reality.
"Father, please don't worry. We can search for it together, okay?"
"Oh, Campanella… You're such a sweet girl," Bell said, blowing his nose to calm down and returning her hug before nodding. "You're right! We have to go find it!"
The two of them ran off hand in hand, ready to tackle their mission.
Meanwhile, in a dark corner of the town, a hooded girl was trying to sell the knife in a shop.
"The most I can offer for this is 30 valis."
"What? That little? I've seen what it can do!"
She had witnessed firsthand how that knife had cut through a swarm of enemies. It was undoubtedly powerful, and she couldn't accept mere scraps for it.
"It's just a common knife, nothing more. The blade is sharp, I'll admit, but there's nothing special about it."
Damn it.
Liliruca left the shop in a foul mood. Stealing the item had taken so much effort, and it turned out to be worthless. She had thought the knife was divine, based on the inscription on it and its obvious power. Maybe its strength came from its wielder?
Now that she thought about it… that made some sense.
She hadn't stopped there, though. When she stole the knife earlier, she had also tried to take that magical umbrella the little girl used. After all, it belonged to a child—it should have been much easier to take from her. And that thing looked incredibly valuable! It could manifest any type of magic, and the girl wielded it so effortlessly. It moved in every direction and changed its attacks repeatedly.
What even was that thing? How did it work?
Despite all these questions stemming from her naturally curious and strategic mind, none of that mattered to her. What truly mattered was the money it could bring. Surely, some high-ranking mage would pay a fortune for a weapon like that, especially given how ambitious they could be.
But the frustrating part was… she hadn't been able to move it. Not even an inch.
When she saw the girl distracted while talking to Bell, she tried to lift the umbrella, but it was impossible. It felt heavier than a beast. How could the girl even carry that thing? Did she have superhuman strength? Liliruca didn't understand, but it left her feeling utterly frustrated.
And moments later, the girl had simply picked it up like it was nothing and carried it with her, just as she had done when they arrived. It was infuriating.
So she had to settle for the knife, which had been easy to steal and felt so light. And now, once again, she was walking away empty-handed.
She was fed up—she needed money desperately, or she would be in serious trouble. As she walked the streets, looking at the knife in her hand with frustration, she suddenly noticed two workers from the Hostess of Fertility in the distance.
Oh no.
She was certain those two were close to Bell; she had noticed it on a few occasions. Trying to act natural, she attempted to hide the knife in her sleeve. But as she passed them, Ryuu's sharp eyes noticed something amiss.
"Stop right there, Prum," Ryuu said, her voice cutting through the air like a blade. Lili felt as though time had frozen. No, this couldn't be happening.
"Show me what you're hiding in your sleeve," Ryuu commanded. "It looks like something a friend of mine owns."
"This… this is mine," Lili tried to lie, her voice growing softer as her body trembled. She didn't want to be caught, though it now seemed impossible. "You're mistaken."
"Nonsense," Ryuu retorted, her calm demeanor unwavering. "I know only one person with a weapon inscribed like that."
Before Lili could respond, Ryuu flicked a coin from her hand with expert precision. It struck Lili's hand, causing her to drop the knife in pain.
Panic-stricken, Lili bolted from the scene.
Meanwhile, Bell and Campanella were crouching at every corner, frantically searching for the knife. How could it have gone missing? Campanella had clearly seen her father put it away before leaving the guild, and she hadn't noticed it fall out.
She felt a pang of guilt. Maybe she should have been more vigilant.
She was sure her mother wouldn't scold her for something like this, but she could almost hear her voice in her head:
"You need to be more careful. Don't trust everyone you meet. And remember, just because someone is older than you doesn't mean they're trustworthy or sure of their actions."
Now she understood… her father had as much to learn as she did. She couldn't just close her eyes to what was happening around them. Maybe it would be better to be more cautious. They could learn together along the way, and she liked that idea.
What she didn't like was seeing the desperation in her father's eyes. She was determined to find the knife, even if she had to use magic to do it. How was that tracking spell done again? She had seen her mother perform it before but couldn't remember the exact method. Maybe she could use MMU as a catalyst.
As she pondered, something happened:
In the street, she looked up, only for another person to collide with her, sending both of them tumbling to the ground.
Campanella felt dizzy—she wasn't used to such impacts. She quickly heard her father's voice, full of concern.
"Campanella!" Bell rushed to her, lifting her into his arms. Nothing seemed to be going right that day. The girl was still a bit disoriented but buried her face in his chest as soon as she felt him near.
"Are you okay?"
"Yes… I just got a little surprised, that's all."
"I'm so sorry. This is my fault." Bell thought to himself that if she hadn't been helping him search, this wouldn't have happened. But Campanella shook her head—it wasn't his fault; it was the person who had run into her.
Speaking of which.
Both of them soon noticed that the other person on the ground was Liliruca. What had happened to her? She looked a bit flustered, judging by the expression on her face. Was it because of the collision?
She raised her head, realizing who she had run into. Just what I needed, she thought.
"Bell… Campanella…"
"Lili?" Bell
felt confused to see her under these circumstances. Why had she been running like that?
Moments later, Ryuu and Syr arrived, with Syr noticing that Lili's hood had come off. She couldn't help but wonder if the girl was truly a therianthrope.
Campanella observed with curiosity, saying nothing, and snuggled closer against her father. She wanted to continue helping him search, but he stood up with her still in his arms as he addressed his friends.
"Have you seen a completely black knife? It's b-black! It's…!"
"Is this it?"
As if it were the most natural thing, Ryuu held up the knife she had just picked up from the ground, leaving Bell and Campanella stunned. That was…
"My knife," Bell said in barely a whisper before tears began to well up in his eyes.
Campanella immediately jumped out of his arms, completely forgetting about the earlier collision after seeing the weapon in all its glory. She was overjoyed, and so was her father. She walked over to Ryuu, bowing in front of her. "Thank you very much."
"Yes, thank you! Really, thank you so much!" Bell echoed her sentiments much more enthusiastically, taking the knife and inadvertently brushing his hand against Ryuu's, causing her to blush.
"Mr. Cranel… please… you should do that with Syr, not me."
"What are you talking about?" Syr replied, equally embarrassed, but her words went unnoticed, as Bell's overwhelming relief took precedence over anything else.
"Well, here you go," Ryuu said simply, handing the knife to Campanella, who quickly verified that it was indeed her father's weapon.
Bell took it moments later, and as soon as he held it, the engraved letters began to glow, catching Lili's attention as she remained on the ground nearby.
"I'm so sorry, goddess," Bell muttered softly, "I promise to be more careful from now on. I won't lose it again."
"Lose it?" Ryuu asked curiously.
"We've been looking for it for quite a while," Campanella confirmed with a nod.
"That's right. Where did you find it?"
"I didn't exactly find it. A Prum had it," Ryuu replied bluntly, making Lili's ears twitch nervously. Were they going to turn her in?
However, Syr merely smiled in Lili's direction before she and Ryuu bid farewell to Bell and Campanella to return to their tasks. Before leaving completely, Syr approached Lili, who had her back to them, and whispered just loud enough for her to hear:
"Don't cause any more trouble, alright?"
Lili was startled by the comment but soon resigned herself. At least… they hadn't said anything. Though she remained deeply frustrated by everything that had happened.
Meanwhile, Campanella and Bell exchanged glances. The sun was beginning to set, but Bell had something to address now that he had his knife back.
"Lili! It's good to see you. I was actually hoping to talk to you."
"Eh?" Lili felt confused. What could two such capable adventurers want to discuss with her? Especially after everything that had just happened.
"Would you like to join us in the dungeon again tomorrow?"
The next day, Lili was back, showing the same helpful disposition she had demonstrated earlier. In front of her, Campanella and Bell were ready to take down as many monsters as they could. They didn't have a specific goal, but they were confident that if they worked well together, they could earn a good sum of money.
The girl now carried her weapon more securely in a belt her mother had gifted her a few days ago, keeping a close watch on her father's weapon's new "hiding spot."
Both felt more secure this way, though their companion couldn't help but inquire about the weapon's location. Bell confirmed it had been moved to a more secure and easier-to-monitor spot.
Well… it wasn't as if she would try to take it again. Not after what she knew now, at least.
After finishing their work, they realized they had taken down a considerable number of monsters. Even with a superficial count, Lili thought their loot would be quite valuable. However, none of them were prepared for the amount of money they received.
"39,000 valis?!" they exclaimed in unison, staring at the bag of shining coins in disbelief.
"That's more than five adventurers would make in a single expedition! I've never seen this amount before," Lili admitted, while Campanella practically jumped to hang onto Bell's neck.
"We did so well!"
"That's largely thanks to you! What incredible power you have, Campanella," Bell said, patting the girl's head. "And you too, Lili. Thank you so much for your cooperation."
"It's nothing!" Lili replied, though her voice carried a hint of resignation. "Well, we'll need to divide the money, so… just let me know how much you think I've earned."
To her surprise, Bell handed her a pouch containing a third of the money.
"Yes, of course! It's yours. Campanella, this one is for you, and I'll take this one. What a fortune! We can treat our goddess to a delicious dinner."
Campanella nodded eagerly at the idea, though she didn't really want to keep the money herself. She would likely let her father manage it for the family's needs.
Meanwhile, Lili couldn't believe what she was seeing.
"Bell-sama…" she murmured, her voice filled with disbelief. Had he gone mad? He was giving her a fortune!
"Why are you dividing it equally?"
"Why not?" Bell replied simply. "Without your help, we wouldn't have earned as much. Please, let's keep working together in the future."
Both he and Campanella smiled widely at her, and in that moment, Lili realized they were serious—about both the reward and wanting her to join them again.
This pair… they were truly strange.
On the other hand, Campanella felt satisfied knowing they now had someone else they could rely on, even if she still harbored some reservations about Lili.
Riveria, meanwhile, felt… curious.
For some reason, she couldn't stop thinking about the little girl: Campanella.
She knew she had acted on pure impulse, but she couldn't help it: from the moment she saw her, her heart had been racing like never before. Every action that followed had been driven entirely by that feeling, and that… was what she didn't understand.
Years of experience had shaped her character and actions. She didn't consider herself overly strict (though many members of her Familia might say otherwise). But she wasn't exactly the most open when it came to emotions either. She simply tried to give her best and inspire those around her to do the same.
With the girl, however, she had behaved very differently. It was as if the child already had a place in her heart, making her act gently and thoughtfully. Everything she had gifted her had a purpose: to ensure she had no problems on her future expeditions, along with a few other things that, admittedly, were simply indulgent.
She was… very aware of this.
At the same time, she couldn't help but worry about the small family the girl belonged to. According to their goddess, the one guiding those two had never led anyone before and was known for being rather selfish. She couldn't judge based on rumors alone, especially since this might all be a joke. Still, she couldn't shake her concern.
And then, there was him.
That boy…
Was a young man like him ready to care for a child? It was clear the two shared a real bond; the girl looked at him with so much love, as if he were her entire world. Perhaps they were family—not by blood, of course—but she had no doubt he was doing his best to protect her. Even so, he was too inexperienced. It was painfully obvious he barely knew what he was doing.
That wasn't necessarily bad. Everyone had to start somewhere.
But she didn't want the girl to suffer because of his inexperience or negligence.
These thoughts kept circling in her mind. Why was she so fixated on these two strangers? They had nothing to do with her or her Familia, and yet… she felt compelled to keep an eye on them. She knew it was ridiculous and that mentioning it would likely shock everyone, but she also couldn't ignore the instinct urging her to pay attention.
As an elf, she knew she had to trust herself and her feelings, even when they weren't entirely pragmatic. Especially when they weren't. No—precisely because it was such an extraordinary feeling, she had to listen to it.
Riveria was so absorbed in her thoughts that she seemed to be having an internal struggle. This was highly unusual for her, so when Finn noticed, he tried calling out to her.
"Hey…"
The elf remained deep in thought, as if she hadn't heard a thing. The others exchanged glances. What was going on with her? She was completely lost in her own world.
"Riveria?"
"Eh?" She finally snapped out of it, remembering where she was: the meeting about the expedition. Of course! How embarrassing it was to have been so distracted. She tried to maintain the dignified expression on her face to avoid raising suspicion, but it was clear the others wouldn't let this peculiar behavior slide.
"What's wrong? I've never seen you this lost in thought," Finn asked directly.
"Nothing's wrong," she replied almost automatically, as if she hadn't thought about what she was saying. "Please, let's continue."
"Hmmm."
Hearing her goddess speak, Riveria tensed. She knew what was coming. Of course, Loki couldn't stay silent about something like this.
"Maybe our Riveria has finally opened her heart, don't you think? This is very suspicious."
"Loki!" The elf lost her usual composure for a moment, which only encouraged the redhead further. Loki loved teasing her Familia whenever she had the chance.
"Come on, be honest! Are you seeing someone? What's he like? Is he strong? I won't let you date just anyone."
"I don't think that's what's happening… or is it?" Gareth raised an eyebrow, admitting he'd be surprised if it were true. Riveria, however, held her ground as best she could.
"A man! Of all things. Even if there was someone, I wouldn't allow myself to be distracted from important matters. It's as if you don't know me at all."
"You're wrong," she said firmly. "But since you're so curious, I'll tell you what's going on."
She explained what had happened that day, the gifts she had given the little girl, and how she felt about them. Of course, she omitted the part about the overwhelming sense of familiarity that wouldn't leave her mind.
Her companions exchanged looks. They had never expected something like this from Riveria, but they could all understand her feelings to some extent. They weren't sure if they should comment, but Loki, clearly shocked, couldn't help but intervene.
"Well, if you think this little girl is so special, why don't you bring her here so we can meet her?"
"What? I can't do that," Riveria replied sharply, much to the goddess's displeasure. "That would be kidnapping an adventurer from another Familia. It would cause problems, and you know it."
"Hmpf." Loki slumped in her chair, deciding to drop the matter. At least she now knew about this curiosity of Riveria's. She'd probably keep an eye on the situation herself… it sounded fun.
It was bedtime.
Bell had bought a delicious dinner for the two of them as a reward for their hard work. They would have liked to share it with their goddess, but she seemed to be arriving later than their usual bedtime. They saved her portion, but both were starting to feel worried. Bell reminded himself that it was his job to keep the girl calm. She was still growing, and negative emotions would likely affect her more than others.
"Don't worry too much, okay? Our goddess has always been like this since I've known her. She wants to give her best, so the best we can do in return is to do the same," he said, looking down at Campanella with a faint smile.
She looked up at him, noticing his expression. She knew he was right. After all, their goddess always gave her all for them—she had seen it with her own eyes many times.
"Alright… I just hope she doesn't push herself too hard."
"Me too," Bell admitted with a sigh. He was sure Hestia often went above and beyond. That thought made him feel a pang of guilt for almost losing the valuable gift she had given him. He couldn't repay her efforts that way!
"Campanella, can I ask something a bit selfish of you?"
"Huh? What is it?"
"I'll always take care of you and be there for you when you need me," Bell said with conviction, making the girl blush a little but smile as well. It was so nice to hear that from him. "So if you ever see or think I'm doing something wrong, tell me. I want to be strong enough to protect both of you from anything bad. That's why I need you to watch over me and point out my mistakes, so I can improve."
"You want me to take care of you?" Campanella's eyes sparkled with excitement, while Bell's cheeks turned slightly red with embarrassment. When she put it like that, it did sound a bit strange. But… she was right.
"Yes, please take care of me, Campanella."
"I'll gladly do it!" The girl hugged his waist, feeling as though she could do anything. Her father saw her for who she was and as a member of their family! She felt confident and secure, knowing they would look out for each other.
Finally, they heard the door open and saw Hestia walk in, her face tired and her hair slightly disheveled. The goddess looked up and saw her children hugging, a sight that warmed her heart so much that she ran to embrace them both.
"This is what I love coming home to. I don't even feel tired anymore," she said happily.
"My goddess!" they both exclaimed in unison.
"That's right! Your goddess!" she replied, laughing as she held them both in her arms. Yes, for this family she had built, she truly felt capable of anything.
We'd love to hear what you thought of today's chapter! Feel free to share your comments.
While you wait for the new chapters, here's a thought to ponder: Campanella can be one or the other, but never both at the same time.
To the one who gets the correct answer we will reveal something extremely important
