Scene 23
In the mines near sangak, Nekka and company continue to look for the way to the Astrobuster and try to form a plan of escape.
TM-T5: Nekka...even we get back to my ship, there is no guarantee that Keeb Sardoon won't be waiting for us.
Nekka: Well, there's no other way off this boulder...at least we have the odds now...right? I mean it is five aginst two!
Celia: I'd say closer to three and a half against two...my faith in the droids isn't the greatest. Particularly one of them. No offense Threepio...
C-3PO: Oh that is perfectly understandable mistress Celia...
R2 beeps to C-3PO something about what Celia just said.
C-3PO: Well don't let her comment upset you...it's not my fault mistress Celia thinks your useless in a fight...
R2 whistles and chirps something that seems rude or sarcastic back.
C-3PO: Ofcourse she meant I was useful in a fight! I am programmed for diplomacy!
R2 just beeps as if to say okay.
Nekka: (To Celia) So just what is a jedi doing all the way out here anyways?
Celia: I'm on a very important mission...
Nekka: Mission hu? What kind of mission? Are you working with the republic?
Celia: You could say that...but I really can't talk about it...
Nekka: You don't trust me yet?!?
Celia: I don't know you!
Nekka: There's not much to know...but I guess if I were in your shoes...
Just then, Nekka stops in his tracks as there is a horrible noise that sounds like a low deep gurgling. The rest of the group hears it as well and becomes very frightened as a freeze in their tracks!
Celia: What was that!?!?
Nekka: Hopefully not what I think it is!
Celia: Well what do you think it is?
Nekka: A lee-ugh...
Celia: A lee-ugh?
Nekka leads the group cautiously as he looks around and listens for any more signs of the lee-ugh.
Nekka: It's the most disgusting, slimy blob you've ever known...once it gets on you...you don't ever get it off...
C-3PO: Oh it sounds horrid!
Celia draws her saber and turns it on but sees that Nekka hasn't yet drawn his blaster.
Celia: Shouldn't you draw your weapon?
Nekka: It doesn't matter. Blasters, sabers, even detonators can't stop it...
Celia: Are you sure?
Nekka: Pretty sure. It's a living pile of goo...it just absorbs everything...even itself...
Celia: That sounds like a pleasure to deal with...
TM-T5: I hear they are not!
C-3PO: Why do there always have to be such wretched monsters in places like this?
Nekka: They like warm damp caves...and they'll eat anything too...even droids...
C-3PO: Oh my!
R2 let's out a concerning whistle as he rolls along.
Just then the gurgling noise is heard from above! Nekka and the rest look up to see a giant jelly like monster with tentacles plop down from the ceiling towards them.
Nekka: (To everyone) Watch out!
Nekka pushes Celia out of the way as The oozing Lee-ugh falls down and absorbs Nekka completely! Celia gets up quickly and looks horrified as she sees what has happened!
Celia: Nekka!
C-3PO: Mr. Nekka! Oh no!
Nekka fights from within the creatures translucent jelly body and is briefly able to open an air hole but it struggling to keep the hole open!
Nekka: RUN CELIA!
TM-T5: Yes! Let's run while we can! There's nothing you can do!
Celia: I'm not leaving!
Celia turns on her lightsaber and slices a tentacle but the blob just absorbs it into itself and grows a new one where the slice was made. The monster seems to be in the shape of a giant jello squid but appears to be able to change form as well. Celia tries to slice at it a couple times as it attempts to suck up her and the others, but each new cut just heals instantly! Celia looks increasingly flustered as the thing keeps oozing forward and backing everyone against the wall.
C-3PO: Oh! Get this disgusting thing away from me!!!
R2 beeps and whines but is unable to scare it away!
The thing comes closer as they back themselves into a corner of the cave and can't seem to escape! Nekka is able to break through briefly again so he can breathe.
Nekka: RUN!!! GET OUTTA HERE!!!
Celia sees that creature has a heart at its core so she tries to stab it with her saber but the heart is too deep and the monster's blob like stomach starts to suck in her lightsaber hilt! Then one tentacle grabs TM-T5's arm and then another grabs one of Celia's legs!
C-3PO: Miss Celia! Watch out!
Celia pulls her saber out of the creature's stomach and quickly chops off the tentacles that are attached to her leg and TM-T5'S arm. The tentacles fall to the ground and the blob reabsorbs them as Celia and the others take the moment to run past the thing and away from the wall! The thing quickly turns around as it lunges at C-3PO, who is lagging behind due to being slower! It grabs him as he screams for mercy!
C-3PO: Ah help! It's got me!
Celia: Hold on Threepio!
Celia tries to pull him out by his arms but the thing quickly engulfs the poor robot!
Celia: THREEPIO!
A gooey tentacle grabs Celia as she is trying to pull out C-3PO by the hand! Seeing that its too late, TM-T5 grabs Celia and pulls her away to safety.
TM-T5: Don't try it!
The group tries to move from one side to another as Nekka is struggling to breathe but it seems like they are trapped with no hope of escape! R2 beeps loudly out of concern as everyone tries to stay back from the approaching blob monster.
TM-T5: We're trapped! Does anyone have any ideas!?!
Celia: Yeah...stay calm...I'm gonna try something...
Celia holds her hand out towards the creature and focuses on the force. At first the creature seems even more agitated but then after a few seconds it seems to be calming down! Then surprisingly it seems to weaken when all of a sudden it spews both Nekka and C-3PO out from it's slimy jelly body! Nekka particularly gasps for air while he is on his knees all covered in slime. Then as quickly as the thing came, it begins to retreat much to everyone's relief! Nekka starts to recompose himself and tries to wipe off slime from his body as C-3PO lays motionless on the ground.
Celia: Nekka! Are you alright!?!?
Nekka: I think so...what did you do to that thing?!
Celia: Just a little mind trick...I used the force to tell it that it was very sick...so naturally it threw you up!
Nekka: Definitely unexpected...
R2 whistles loudly as he notices that C-3PO isn't getting up or responding!
Celia: Oh no! What happened?!?
Celia goes to pick C-3PO up, but he only responds with jumbled words.
C-3PO: MisCelsilllesa whysyhh hwowksss?!?!!?
Celia: I think his voice processer must have gotten goo it...and he can't seem to stand!
TM-T5: Ah-such a shame-well such is the life of a droid...anyways we better get moving before that thing comes back...
Celia: I have to repair Threepio first. I just need to open him up and clean him. Shouldn't take more then an hour.
TM-T5: We don't have that amount of time to be idle. We have to leave now...
Celia: You do what you have to...Threepio is my friend and I'm helping him.
Nekka looks at TM-T5 as if he agrees but then looks at Celia with compassion as he can see C-3PO is an important friend to her. R2 beeps somberly as well.
Nekka: Hey, I have some tools in my pack...I'll help you...
Celia:...Thank you...
TM-T5: Suit it yourself...I'm going to go back to my ship and leave this place!
Nekka: Alright! If that's what you want, I won't stop you!
Nekka takes his pack off and gets out a tool kit as TM-T5 walks a few steps away. Nekka looks at him and then looks down at C-3PO when TM-T5 walks back.
TM-T5: I suppose losing a slave would be an unfortunate loss for me...not that I need one...but you will clean the ship top to bottom of I stay!
Nekka: (With a half grin) Yes sir! Just as soon as we get outta here...
TM-T5: I know I will pay for this mistake...believe me...you will make up for this!
