The Tennysons were just relaxing in the Rustbucket when all of a sudden, a random thought entered Ben's head.
"Hmm..."
"Hmm? What?"
"Hey Gwen, I was wonderin'..."
"Yeah?"
"You think there's other versions of us somewhere in the world?"
"What? Like in alternate dimensions or something?"
"Yeah."
"There are. We just haven't seen them yet."
"How do you know?"
"Grandpa Max taught me about it, I used to wonder the same thing."
"Oh."
"It's true, kids. There are other versions of ourselves in different universes."
"Alright then."
Meanwhile in an alternate universe...
"Hiii Ben!~"
"Ugh! Kona, get off me!"
In another universe, another Ben was being bothered by a girl who was similar to but wasn't Gwen. Her name was Kona, and she was his "friend". -But really, she was more like the annoying kid that wanted to tag along with almost everything he did.
"Alright! Alright! Calm down. I know you're happy to see me, but no sudden hugs please."
"Hehe, sorry."
"Good, now let's go."
Ben and Kona went to another house in their neighborhood, it was called the "Future Gadget Lab". It wasn't actually a lab, it was just another house whose rent was a bit overdue by a man named Okabe Rintaro. When they got inside there
FLASH!
"Aw crud, not again."
"Let's just try again."
A black-haired man in a lab coat and a rotund brown-haired man with an oversized green shirt were testing something out, it looked like some sort of microwave with a bunch of small attachments to it. They quickly started to repair and adjust it after it failed. "Hey guys." a voice then came, -it was Ben.
"Oh, hello Ben. We were just testing this thing out. So far it hasn't worked properly yet. We'll have to make a few adjustments and try again."
"I don't think this is going to work, Okabe. Time travel isn't possible."
"Don't tell me you're giving up, Christina!"
"First of all, there is no "tina". Secondly, I'm curious to see if you guys can pull this off. But I highly doubt it."
"Just you wait, Christina. I'll show you that time travel is possible!"
"This won't end well..."
Another person joined in, she was called "Christina". But her real name was Makise Kurisu. She was Okabe's "assistant" (not really) and one of his partners.
A few minutes later, Okabe and the man in the green shirt were able to fix the device they were working on. "Alright, fire 'er up!" said the rotund man.
BEEP!
Okabe pressed a button on his old-style red phone, before the device activated. Sparks soon came out of it, before a white portal appeared. "Is... that supposed to happen?" Ben asked nervously. "No..." Okabe replied just as nervous, "Run for it!" yelled the rotund man as he, Okabe, Ben and the other people in the "lab" got out of there as fast as possible. Just then...
FLASH!
Meanwhile, back in our Ben's dimension...
Ben continued to wonder about the other versions of himself, Gwen and Max that could possibly exist in other universes when all of a sudden
FLASH!
A white portal suddenly appeared! "Wh-What's that?!" said Ben, Gwen and Max just looked in shock. Just then
FWOOSH!
"AAH!"
"AAH!"
"AAH!"
The portal started to suck the Tennysons in! They tried to stop themselves from getting sucked in, but they couldn't do so. They were sucked into the portal.
FLASH!
When the Tennysons reached the other end, the portal closed up. They fell on the floor, the same floor the "Future Gadget Lab" had. "Ungh... wh-where did we end up in?" groaned Ben as he, Gwen and Max got back up.
GASP!
"Huh?"
Someone gasped, and it wasn't any of them. They looked to the side to see, some strange people. And... another Ben?! "Wh-What did you guys do?!" the Ben in this dimension said, "I-I don't know! That wasn't supposed to happen!" the rotund man replied. "Wait, is that... -another me?!" our Ben said in surprise as he saw his alternate counterpart. "You're me?!" this dimension's Ben replied back. "AAH!" both Bens screamed.
"Okabe... I... I think you just brought people from another dimension here..." Kurisu said nervously, "I-I guess so..." Okabe replied. "Put them back in their dimension!" Kurisu added, "I-I don't know how to yet! I gotta figure it out or something! I didn't bring them here on purpose!" Okabe continued.
"So... what were you guys tryna do?!" asked our Ben while wiping the dust off of him, "Sh-Should we tell him?" Kurisu asked Okabe nervously. "Well, we can tell Ben. We know him. But we don't know who these other two are." Okabe replied referring to Gwen and Max.
"Hi, my name's Gwen. I'm Ben's cousin."
"Max, Ben and Gwen's grandfather."
"So alternate versions of ourselves do exist!" said this dimension's Ben, "No way! You were wondering the same thing?!" our Ben asked. "If you mean if alternate versions of ourselves exist then yes. Yes I was." this dimension's Ben replied back. "Whoa..." our Ben said in amazement.
"Okabe, figure out how to put these guys back in their dimension!" Kurisu repeated, "I told you, I don't know how to yet. I only brought them here by accident. I'm still trying to figure out how." Okabe replied.
"Wow! There's two Bens!"
"Uhh... hi? Who are you?"
"Don't you know me?! Surely there must be a version of me that lives in the same world as you!"
"I don't think so. And if there is, I haven't met her. I don't know anyone like you in my dimension. Who are you?"
"I'm Kona!"
"Ben. But you already know that."
"Yay! Two Bens!"
"Watch out, she can be a bit of a pervert."
"Wh-What?!"
"Lemme lick your fingers!"
"H-Hey! Get off me!"
Kona rushed to our Ben and tried licking his fingers, but our Ben stopped her and started trying his best to keep her away. "Yeah, you'll have to put up with that if you're her friend." this dimension's Ben added. "H-How do you tolerate something like this?!" our Ben asked, "I guess I kinda got used to it. But there is another reason why she's like that. Although judging from the situation in your dimension, it's best if you don't know. I don't want anyone to know this secret as much as possible. Not even if it's an alternate version of me." this dimension's Ben answered. "And why is that?" our Ben asked questioningly, "Because this secret is so bad that it's best if as few people as possible know it." this dimension's Ben replied again. "Well... alright. I guess it's none of my business since I'm from another dimension." our Ben added.
"C-Can we go back to our dimension now?" Gwen asked, "Sure. I'm almost done. I just gotta get-" Okabe replied. But before he could finish what he was saying
CRASH!
"AAH!"
FLASH!
"Put all of your hands up! And don't move!"
Someone crashed through the walls! It was a man in a black cloak! He yelled at everyone to surrender, and he held a black-handled sword with a blade in the shape of fire. "I'll be taking this." the man added as he pointed to the device that Okabe had worked on, "W-Wait! Don't!" Okabe shouted. But it's not like there was anything he could do about it. As of now, he had no real weapons to stop a man with a big sword. Our Ben figured that the device was something powerful, so he quickly activated the Omnitrix and transformed.
FLASH!
"Cannonbolt!"
Ben had transformed into an alien he called "Cannonbolt", he rolled into a big blue ball before rolling towards the man.
FWOOSH!
BAM!
"Agh!"
CRASH!
The man ended up flying through another part of the walls, Ben then went after him and smashed him into the ground dragging him along as he continued rolling.
RUMBLE-RUMBLE-RUMBLE-RUMBLE!
Ben smashed the man into someone's fence. After that, he uncurled himself. "That's one big punch you ain't "roll"-in' with!" said Ben, the man just groaned in response before he slumped to the ground. "Urgh... it appears another counterpart of Ben has gotten into this timeline. Fine, I'll take my plans elsewhere." the man whispered softly to himself before disappearing.
FLASH!
"Wh-What was that all about?" Ben asked himself confused, "Ben! Ben!" Gwen and Max shouted as they and the others rushed towards him. "Ben, are you okay?!" asked Gwen, "Yeah. But... who was that guy?!" our Ben asked. "We don't know either, he was wearing a black cloak. So his identity was hidden." Kurisu replied. "Well... he's gone now." our Ben added.
A few minutes later...
Our Ben, Gwen and Max helped repair the broken parts of the Future Gadget Lab. After that, they talked about how they would get back to their dimension. Okabe and the rotund man were working on the device that could bring them back.
"Aaand... done. Hopefully that'll do it."
"Alright, now we just need the three people who we accidentally sent here."
As soon as Okabe said that, our Ben, Gwen and Max stepped near the device he and the other man worked on. Okabe then pressed a button on his phone, before the device started to activate again.
FLASH! KZZT! KZZT! KZZT!
The device started sparking again, before the same white portal reappeared. "Let's go home!" said our Ben as he dragged Max and Gwen along. The Tennysons then went back to their dimension.
FWOOSH!
FLASH!
Once the Tennysons went back to their world, they were relieved. However
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
"Oh no!"
"It's him!"
"Huh? -You three again?!"
"Get him!"
FLASH!
Ben transformed into Fourarms, before jumping towards the same man that tried to attack him, Gwen and Max on the other dimension. However, the man disappeared this time. "Huh? Where'd he go?!" said Ben. Then, the man appeared behind him. And before he could notice it, he was punched in the back of his head!
BAM!
"Agh!"
THUMP!
Ben was knocked down. "Sonoris Fieros!" shouted Gwen as she used her spell book. However, the man formed black energy around his hand and used it to protect himself. Then, he threw a huge blast towards her and Max. "AAH!" Gwen and Max screamed as they managed to dodge the attack. Max then took out his blaster and began firing at the man. However, the man just protected himself with his powers again.
"RAAH!" yelled Ben as he jumped towards the man again. However, the man simply used his powers to levitate and throw him to the side. "Oogh!" said Ben as he was thrown. "I was willing to ignore you three to continue with my plans. But now, you three have done it! I will not tolerate all of your meddlings for much longer!" the man shouted before throwing black blasts everywhere!
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
"AAH!"
"AAH!"
"AAH!"
The Tennysons took cover, this man was too powerful to immediately take down. "Let's try attacking from a distance." Max said to Gwen, then
FLASH!
"Upgrade!"
Ben had turned into another alien he called "Upgrade", Upgrade was a black humanoid alien with blue linings all over him. He also had a blue circle to go along with those linings for an eye. "How about an "Upgrade"?" said Ben, before firing a huge blue beam from his eye.
FLASH!
"Agh!"
Ben managed to hit the man, making him fall. Part of his cloak was burnt by the laser. Just then, Max started inserting two shells inside his blaster. "Paralutus!" said Gwen, paralyzing the man in place. "U-Urgh!" the man groaned as he tried to move, but he couldn't. He couldn't even move his mouth that much. Just then, the shells that Max fired reached the man. They unleashed the nets that wrapped around and electrocuted him.
KZZT! KZZT! KZZT!
"AAH!"
FLASH!
The man was weakened enough for any one of the Tennysons to be able to knock him out completely. Ben switched back into Fourarms, before jumping high into the air. Then, he let himself fall on the man as he smashed him into the ground.
"RAAH!"
SMASH!
"Urgh!"
Smoke flew everywhere! Once it cleared, the Tennysons could see that the man could no longer move. He shook a bit, before stopping and laying there on the ground. "That oughta do it." said Ben, "Yeah, I think he's down." replied Max. Just then, the man started speaking.
"I will have my revenge on all of you... but I have another goal in mind. And I do not want to waste much of my energy or resources for fools like all of you. Farewell, you miserable plebians."
The man then started to disappear, Ben tried to stop him from doing so but the man had already completely disappeared by then. "Dang it!" Ben shouted.
Some time later...
The man had caused extensive damage to the trees around the woods the Tennysons lived in. He had also caused a bit of damage to the Rustbucket, but nothing something like Gwen's magic couldn't repair. Which Gwen used to do so.
After the Rustbucket was repaired, the Tennysons went back inside it. Max then started trying to research about the man who just tried to kill him, Ben and Gwen. But there were many villains who use black cloaks that he didn't know which one to attribute him to.
"You find anything yet, grandpa?"
"Sorry kids, there's too many possibilities here. I guess we'll never know in a long time."
"Well, it dosen't matter anymore. He's gone now."
"Yeah."
After that, the Tennysons rested once again. They just had a big battle. But who was that man in the black cloak? I guess we'll be finding out soon.
