Chapter 11: Darkblade
Hey everyone! I'm back with a new chapter, especially featuring Cat Noir! Also, I've decided to discontinue something I was working on, but I'm currently working on a Steven Universe fanfiction and planning to post it soon. Let me know what you guys think about it!
I also want to thank Cloud4012 for helping me with my OC and everything else—make sure to follow him and Kival737101 as well.
Today at school, elections for class representatives were being held, and Chloe was the first to stand up.
"Alright, class, Chloe has volunteered to be student representative with Sabrina as her deputy. Any other candidates?" Ms. Bustier asked.
Kim raised his hand but quickly put it down when Chloe and Sabrina shot him a glare.
"Yes, Kim?" Ms. Bustier prompted.
"Uh... never mind," Kim mumbled, sighing as he sat back down. Just then, Marinette came running into the classroom.
"Sorry I'm late! The bus... uh, dry throat," Marinette said awkwardly as she slid into her seat next to Alya.
"Chloe's running again. She's been class rep since kindergarten," Alya whispered.
"Maybe you should run. You'd be a great class rep," Marinette suggested.
"No can do—running my blog is a full-time job," Alya said with a grin.
"Alright, I'll give you all until the end of lunch to decide on running for class rep," Ms. Bustier announced, before returning to the lesson.
When the bell rang, Marinette turned to Oliver as he walked past their desk. "Hey, Oliver, what if you tried being a student rep?" she asked.
"Uh, sorry, Marinette. I'm not into that stuff," Oliver said, shaking his head as he walked away. 'Not to mention being Frost Fang is more than enough for me to deal with,' he thought to himself.
"Okay, but what about you, Leo?" Marinette asked, turning to the other cousin.
"Yeah, that's not my thing," Leo replied, pulling out his notebook and flipping through the pages.
Meanwhile, downstairs, Chloe and Sabrina were huddled with Kim, whispering something to him before sauntering over to Rose. Marinette caught up to Kim, her brow furrowed in concern.
"What did Chloe say to you this time? Did she promise to go on a date with you?" Marinette asked, crossing her arms.
"No," Kim muttered, looking down. "She said she'd tell everyone I'm afraid of spiders."
Marinette turned to Rose. "And what about you? What did she say?"
"She threatened to kick me out of the Scrapbooking Club," Rose replied, pouting. "And you know how much I love colorful papers and gluing!"
Marinette sighed, her frustration bubbling up. "Unbelievable." She glanced at Alix. "What about you, Alix? Why don't you run?"
"I couldn't care less about being class rep," Alix shrugged. "What's your excuse, Marinette?"
"Um... well, I'm really busy," Marinette stammered, thinking about all her responsibilities as Ladybug.
"Busy with what, Marinette?" Oliver teased, raising an eyebrow.
"Probably oversleeping," Alya said with a smirk.
"What? No! I mean... I guess I'd run if no one else did," Marinette said quickly, fumbling for words.
"She's just saying that because she's helping me with a new project I'm working on," Leo chimed in, trying to steer the conversation away.
"New project?" Oliver asked, narrowing his eyes. "Since when?"
"Um... it's a club," Leo said hesitantly, his eyes darting around the room until they landed on a nearby poster. He pointed to it, and Marinette's face lit up as she followed his gaze.
"Yeah! It's a new club—for the school!" Marinette said quickly, nodding in agreement.
Alya tilted her head, intrigued. "What's the club called?" she asked.
Leo froze, glancing at Marinette for help. Marinette fidgeted, trying to come up with a convincing answer.
Leo hesitated for a moment, racking his brain. Marinette gave him a subtle nudge, silently urging him to say something—anything.
"It's... uh... the Creative Minds Club!" Leo blurted out, his voice a little too enthusiastic.
Alya raised an eyebrow. "Creative Minds? What's it about?"
"It's for... students who want to explore new hobbies and ideas!" Marinette added quickly, jumping in to back him up. "Like, um, scrapbooking! Or designing clothes. Or, you know, whatever inspires them!"
Oliver smirked, crossing his arms. "That sounds suspiciously like you two just made it up."
Leo shot him a look. "We did not just make it up. It's a real idea. We've been... brainstorming it for weeks now, right, Marinette?"
"Right!" Marinette nodded vigorously, her pigtails bouncing. "In fact, we're even planning an event to kick it off soon. Aren't we, Leo?"
Leo blinked. "Uh, yep! Totally. A big event. Like... uh, an open house! With snacks and, um, activities."
Alya squinted at them, clearly unconvinced but too entertained to call them out. "Uh-huh. Well, I guess I'll look forward to seeing this 'Creative Minds Club' in action."
"Yeah, me too," Oliver chimed in, chuckling under his breath. "Should be... interesting."
Marinette forced a smile, her cheeks heating up. As Alya and Oliver walked off, she let out a small sigh of relief and turned to Leo.
"Creative Minds Club? Really?" she whispered.
"Hey, it was the first thing that popped into my head!" Leo whispered back. "Besides, it doesn't sound that bad. And now we have a project to work on—so technically, I wasn't lying."
Marinette shook her head, but a small smile crept onto her face. "Well, thanks for bailing me out back there. You're a pretty good partner in crime."
"Anytime," Leo said with a grin, flipping his notebook shut. "Now we just need to figure out how to actually make this club happen."
Marinette laughed softly. "Yeah, I guess we do."
As the bell rang, signaling the end of lunch, Leo gestured for Marinette to head to class. "Come on, future class rep. Let's get going."
"Ha-ha," Marinette said sarcastically, but she followed him anyway, feeling a little lighter despite the chaotic conversation.
Leo glanced at her out of the corner of his eye, a small smile lingering on his face. Even if Marinette only saw him as a friend, he couldn't help but be happy just being by her side.
Miraculous Tales of Fireblaze and Frost Fang Theme Song
In the daytime, I'm Leo
Leo is walking through the city streets in daylight, wearing his casual clothes, blending in like any other normal kid.
Just a normal boy with a normal life
Leo sits in class at school, scribbling in his notebook, and talking to friends.
And In the daytime, I'm Oliver, just a cool kid with an amazing life.
Oliver is shown skating through the streets, grinning confidently.
but There's something about us that no one knows yet because we have a secret!
Leo transforms into Fireblaze, flames swirling around him as he ignites his powers. Oliver transforms into Frost Fang, icy winds swirling around him as snowflakes form.
Another day, I'm back at school,
But the city calls and it's time to rule,
I've got the spark, the flame inside,
When danger strikes, there's no need to hide!
Fireblaze leaps across the rooftops, flames trailing behind him as he runs toward an akumatized villain. Frost Fang joins him, riding a wave of ice, drawing his frost-coated daggers.
Oh-oh-oh, when the cold sets in,
Oh-oh-oh, let the fight begin,
Oh-oh-oh, with ice and snow,
We'll freeze the foe!
Frost Fang casts a powerful ice blast, creating an icy barrier to protect his teammates, then slides across the frozen ground to deliver a swift attack alongside Fireblaze.
Miraculous, we light the sky!
Ready to fight when danger is high!
Miraculous, the fire within!
With power and heart, we'll always win!
Fireblaze swings his swords while Frost Fang sends icicles flying at the villain. Their combined powers create a swirling vortex of fire and ice.
By day we hide, just playing it cool,
But when we fight, we bend the rules,
We'll burn so bright, and freeze the ground,
No villain's safe, when we're around!
Fireblaze summons a glowing sun, while Frost Fang summons a storm of ice. Their attacks combine, sending fire and frost blasting through the villain's defenses.
Oh-oh-oh, the cold is biting strong,
Oh-oh-oh, but with Fireblaze, we can't go wrong!*
Oh-oh-oh, and when we feel the ice,
That's when we strike twice!
Frost Fang and Fireblaze charge alongside Ladybug and Cat Noir. Their teamwork is flawless as they take down the villain with their powers perfectly synchronized.
Miraculous, we light the sky!
Ready to fight when danger is high!
Miraculous, the fire and frost!
With power and heart, we'll never be lost!
Fireblaze lands the final fiery blow, while Frost Fang freezes the villain's weapon. Cat Noir uses his staff to knock the weapon out of the villain's hands, allowing Ladybug to capture the Akuma. The city returns to normal as they fist bump.
There's no stopping us,
With fire and frost combined,
We'll protect the world,
One battle at a time!
Fireblaze and Frost Fang stand on a rooftop at sunrise, looking out over Paris. Ladybug and Cat Noir stand beside them, ready for the next challenge.
Miraculous, we light the way!
Fighting for justice every day!
Miraculous, the flame and frost,
With Ladybug and Cat Noir, we're never lost!
Leo and Oliver de-transform back into their normal selves, smiling at each other as they head to school with their friends.
Miraculous!
When lunch ended, everyone returned to class.
"So, does anyone else want to run against Chloe?" Ms. Bustier asked, looking around the room.
Marinette glanced at Kim and Rose, who were both avoiding her gaze, clearly unwilling to speak up.
"Well, since no one else is running, Chloe and Sabrina, you are—"
"I'll run!" Marinette suddenly announced, standing up and surprising everyone in the class.
Ms. Bustier smiled warmly. "Wonderful! Prepare your campaigns, and we'll hold the vote tomorrow."
In an empty classroom, Marinette sat at a desk with Leo pacing in front of her.
"So, not only do we have to come up with a killer campaign for you to become class rep," Leo said, running a hand through his hair, "but we also need to figure out how to make this Creative Minds Club actually exist—because we definitely just made it up on the spot."
Marinette sighed, resting her chin in her hands. "This is such a mess. What was I thinking, Leo? Chloe's been class rep forever. And this club idea… we don't even have a plan!"
"Hey, hey, don't freak out." Leo stopped pacing and leaned on the desk beside her. "You're not alone in this. We'll take it one step at a time. First, we'll brainstorm ideas for your speech. Then, we'll come up with a basic outline for the club. It doesn't have to be perfect right away."
Marinette gave him a small, grateful smile. "Thanks, Leo. I don't know what I'd do without you."
"Probably trip over something and somehow still save the day," Leo teased, earning a playful swat on the arm.
"Very funny," she said, rolling her eyes but laughing softly.
"Seriously, though," Leo said, his tone softening, "you're going to be an amazing class rep. And this club idea? It's just another way for you to show how creative and inspiring you are. We'll make it happen—together."
Marinette felt her cheeks warm, but she nodded, feeling a little more confident. "Okay. Let's do this."
"That's the spirit!" Leo grinned, grabbing a notebook and pen. "Now, let's start with your campaign slogan. How about 'Vote for Marinette: The Rep Who Cares'?"
Marinette laughed. "Cheesy, but it's a start."
"Cheesy works," Leo said with a wink. "Trust me, people love cheese."
After class, Oliver and Alya sat on a bench with Marinette and Leo.
"So, Marinette, what's the plan?" Oliver asked.
"Yeah, how are you going to represent?" Alya chimed in, leaning forward eagerly.
Marinette let out a sigh. "I have no idea. I still can't believe I raised my hand."
"Hey, hey, cut us some slack," Leo interjected, trying to sound confident. "I'm helping her, and everything's going to be fine. We're already coming up with awesome stuff." He paused before muttering under his breath, "Not to mention the club…"
Before Marinette could respond, a cheerful voice interrupted. "Way to go, Marinette!"
Looking up, they saw Nino, Juleka, Rose, and Ivan walking over.
"You spoke from the heart. Truly authentic," Rose said, beaming.
"Oh, uhh…thanks," Marinette said, scratching the back of her head.
"When you win, can we get new chairs? Our old ones are so uncomfortable—maybe pink ones?" Rose asked, clasping her hands together.
"And maybe we could listen to music in the library?" Nino added with a hopeful grin.
"I, uh, you know…well, I know…" Juleka mumbled nervously.
"Uh, sure, Juleka," Marinette replied with an encouraging smile, even though she had no idea what Juleka meant.
Just then, Alya spotted Adrien walking by. "Hey, Adrien, can Marinette count on your vote?" she called out.
Adrien stopped and turned to face them, smiling. "Sure—depending on her speech."
"Better get cracking," Marinette said, forcing a smile but feeling the pressure mount.
"Yeah, that's the spirit!" Leo chimed in, giving her a reassuring pat on the shoulder.
Across the hall, Chloe and Sabrina stood watching the scene unfold. Chloe smirked, flipping her hair.
"I've seen my daddy win every election, and I know how to win this one," Chloe said confidently.
"Run a better campaign?" Sabrina asked, tilting her head.
"Hardly. You destroy your opponent's reputation," Chloe replied with a wicked grin, already scheming.
Later that day, during Adrien's fencing practice, he was sparring against his teacher, Mr. D'Argencourt, who had once run for mayor of Paris but lost to Chloe's father.
As Adrien charged, Mr. D'Argencourt appeared open for attack, but at the last second, he parried, knocking Adrien to the ground.
"Wow, Mr. D'Argencourt, you're on fire today! That was an incredible move," Adrien said, picking himself up.
"It should be. That technique was developed by my ancestor, Darkblade," Mr. D'Argencourt replied, removing his helmet.
"Darkblade?" Adrien asked, curious.
"Darkblade conquered Paris and ruled it with an iron fist until he was overthrown by a wealthy Frenchman who used gold to buy the loyalties of the people. Not too long ago, my ancestor's flag flew proudly over Paris," Mr. D'Argencourt explained, unaware of a news team approaching behind him.
"Is that why you ran in the election? For revenge?" a reporter suddenly asked.
"Par de fer! Who do we have here?" Mr. D'Argencourt demanded, startled.
"Nadia Chamack. Don't be bemused; it's just the news," she quipped. "Do you have anything to say about your landslide defeat?"
"What are you doing here?" the janitor barked, hurrying toward them.
"Time to go," Nadia said quickly, ushering her team away.
"Here endeth the lesson," Mr. D'Argencourt muttered, walking off.
In his lair, Hawk Moth's window revealed the scene to him.
"A loser and an utter failure—the perfect candidate to further my campaign," Hawk Moth said with a sinister grin. A butterfly landed in his palm, and with his dark powers, he turned it into an Akuma.
"Fly away, my little Akuma, and take control of this defeated fighter," Hawk Moth commanded as the Akuma fluttered out the window in search of its target.
As Mr. D'Argencourt walked down the school steps, he was intercepted by Nadia and her news crew once again.
"Mr. D'Argencourt, someone said you're, and I quote, stuck in the Dark Ages. What do you say to that?" Nadia asked.
"Poisonous wretch," Mr. D'Argencourt growled, storming away. "Cease thy venomous questions! Begone, you pain in the neck!"
Distracted by his anger, he bumped into a poster of Mayor Bourgeois. Enraged, he slashed at the poster, tearing it to shreds.
Consumed by fury, he didn't notice the Akuma flying into his fencing sword.
"Darkblade," Hawk Moth's voice echoed in his mind, "in exchange for these powers, capture Ladybug, Fireblaze, Frost Fang, and Cat Noir's Miraculouses for me."
"When my ancestor's flag flies above City Hall, I shall be indebted to thee," Mr. D'Argencourt replied as he transformed. His body became encased in black medieval armor, his glowing red eyes startling Nadia and her crew.
"Anything y-you'd like to say about your transformation into a…?" Nadia stammered.
"Darkblade! The lord of Paris!" he declared, raising his sword. A red beam shot from the blade, striking Nadia and her cameraman, forcing them to bow.
"You shall become my knights. Soon my army shall be immense and unstoppable," Darkblade proclaimed. He tapped them on their shoulders with his sword, knighting them and transforming them into armored warriors like himself.
"We will storm City Hall and reclaim the throne from Bourgeois, the usurper!"
Meanwhile, Adrien and Plagg watched the scene unfold from a car parked nearby.
"Now that's some medieval madness," Plagg commented as Adrien jumped out and ran back into the building.
"Time to transform. Plagg, claws out!" Adrien said, his ring glowing as he transformed into Cat Noir.
At Leo's house, Oliver was browsing his computer when he received a text from Alya. Reading it, he groaned.
"Seriously? Chloe got Jagged Stone to sign autographs. How are Marinette and Leo supposed to compete with that?" Oliver said, leaning back in his chair.
"This Chloe is bribing everyone to get their votes. It's low, but very effective," Cloud remarked.
Suddenly, they heard a rhythmic marching coming from the street outside. Curious, Oliver looked out the window and saw Darkblade knighting multiple citizens, transforming them into armored knights. The growing army was marching straight toward City Hall.
"Well, that's not good," Oliver muttered, pulling out his PDA and quickly texting Leo.
"Time to transform," Cloud said.
"Right. Cloud, fang's out!" Oliver declared as his bracelet began to glow.
The bracelet emitted a radiant icy blue energy, illuminating the room with a frosty light.
The camera zoomed in on Oliver's glowing bracelet as frost energy burst forth, wrapping him in a swirling icy mist.
First, the camera focused on his feet. Frost energy condensed into sleek white-and-blue boots, frosted over with silver accents that left icy trails with every movement.
The camera panned upward as the energy raced along his legs, forming a fitted white-and-blue bodysuit shimmering with frosty patterns and subtle wolf-like designs etched into the fabric.
Next, the camera zoomed in on his hands. Frost spiraled down from the bracelet, forming sleek white gloves adorned with intricate icy blue designs. The mist gathered in his right hand, solidifying into a silver dagger etched with a glowing wolf motif. He gripped it firmly as the frost intensified.
The camera shifted to his face. A frosty mist coalesced into a sharp silver mask that framed his eyes, the edges shaped like frozen wolf fur. His eyes glowed an intense ice-blue, filled with focus and determination.
As the transformation progressed, silver wolf ears formed atop his head, twitching slightly as they caught the breeze. Frost trailed up his back, and in a flash of icy mist, a wolf-like tail materialized, swaying lightly behind him.
The transformation reached its climax as the mist dissipated in a final burst of cold wind.
Frost Fang landed gracefully, spinning his silver dagger with ease. He crouched low in a wolf-like pose, his glowing eyes sharp and his icy aura swirling around him. His tail flicked, and his wolf ears twitched, completing his fierce, frosty transformation.
Meanwhile, as Darkblade's army made its way through town, Cat Noir jumped down in front of them, blocking their path.
"The people chose Bourgeois over you, D'Argencourt," Cat Noir said, pulling out his staff.
"The people matter not! D'Argencourt was defeated—not Darkblade. En garde!" Darkblade growled, raising his sword as he and his knights charged at Cat Noir.
Cat Noir stood firm, his staff extended, ready for battle.
As Darkblade's army surged forward, their heavy armor clanking in unison, Cat Noir spun his staff with precision, creating a barrier of momentum. The first knight lunged at him with a jagged sword, but Cat sidestepped, using his staff to knock the weapon aside. With a smooth twirl, he swept the knight's legs, sending him tumbling to the ground.
"Looks like you've been de-knighted!" Cat Noir quipped, leaping back as two more knights charged.
One swung a massive axe, the blade shimmering with Darkblade's red energy. Cat Noir ducked just in time, the axe slicing cleanly through a nearby streetlight. Using the pole as leverage, Cat vaulted over the second knight, landing behind him. He jabbed his staff into the knight's back, releasing a burst of energy that knocked him forward into his ally.
Darkblade strode forward, his glowing red sword raised high.
"Thou art a skilled fighter, but no match for Darkblade, lord of Paris!" he bellowed, slashing his sword through the air.
A crimson energy wave erupted from the blade, cutting through the pavement as it raced toward Cat Noir. Reacting quickly, Cat planted his staff into the ground and vaulted upward, flipping high into the air. The energy wave exploded beneath him, sending fragments of concrete flying.
"Nice try, but I'm not a fan of medieval decor," Cat teased, landing gracefully.
Darkblade advanced with heavy strides, swinging his sword in a wide arc. Cat Noir met the blade with his staff, the two weapons clashing in a burst of sparks. The force of the blow pushed Cat back, his feet sliding along the ground.
"You fight well, cat warrior, but thy defeat is inevitable!" Darkblade sneered.
"Yeah? Let's see how you handle this!" Cat Noir smirked, retracting his staff to its compact form. He dashed forward, feinting to the left before spinning to the right, aiming a precise strike at Darkblade's exposed side.
The fight intensified as knights surrounded Cat Noir, their weapons clanging against his staff.
Cat dodged and weaved through their attacks, his agility unmatched. With a sharp kick, he sent one knight flying into a group of others, creating a domino effect. He then used his staff to pole-vault over another wave of attackers, landing directly in front of Darkblade.
"Let's settle this, one-on-one. Or are you afraid of a fair fight?" Cat Noir taunted.
Darkblade snarled, raising his sword. "Thou shalt regret thy insolence!"
Their duel became a whirlwind of flashing weapons and sparks. Cat Noir's staff moved like lightning, deflecting every powerful swing of Darkblade's sword. The clang of metal echoed through the streets as they traded blows.
Spotting an opening, Cat Noir used his staff to vault behind Darkblade, landing a solid kick to the back of his armor. Darkblade stumbled forward, roaring in frustration.
The tide turned when Darkblade summoned more knights with a wave of his sword.
"Knights of Paris, to me!" he commanded.
Cat Noir found himself surrounded once again, their red glowing eyes glaring at him.
"Okay, this is getting out of hand. Time to bring out the claws," Cat said, activating his Cataclysm. His hand glowed with dark energy, pulsing with destructive power.
He lunged at one of the knights, his Cataclysm dissolving their sword into black dust. "That's one down," he muttered, spinning to destroy the weapons of two more knights.
Cat Noir knew he couldn't hold them all off forever. Looking around for an opening, he spotted the bell tower of a nearby church. "Perfect," he whispered, a plan forming in his mind.
With a series of acrobatic flips, he scaled the side of the tower, narrowly avoiding energy blasts from Darkblade's sword. Once at the top, he extended his staff to full length and aimed it at the ground.
"Time for a grand finale!" he shouted, leaping off the tower.
Using his staff as a pole, Cat Noir spun downward like a drill, building momentum as he descended. He crashed into the center of the knightly horde, sending a shockwave that knocked them all back like bowling pins.
Darkblade staggered, his sword trembling in his hand. "Thy tricks shall not save thee!" he growled, preparing one final attack.
Cat Noir smirked. "Oh, I've got one more trick up my sleeve."
As Darkblade charged, Cat Noir extended his staff, launching himself into the air once more. He landed behind Darkblade and struck his sword arm with precision, disarming him. With a swift kick, he sent the glowing weapon flying into a nearby fountain, where it fizzled out with a hiss.
Darkblade collapsed to his knees, his power waning. The knights he had created began to revert to their normal selves, dazed and confused.
Cat Noir pointed his staff at Darkblade, his expression serious. "Game over, Darkblade. Paris isn't big enough for two rulers."
From a distance, Frost Fang arrived, his icy aura glowing in the twilight. "Need a hand?" he asked, smirking.
"Just in time," Cat Noir replied. "Think you can freeze what's left of his power before Hawk Moth tries anything else?"
"Consider it done," Frost Fang said, stepping forward as icy mist began to swirl around him.
At City Hall, Marinette ran to the front door. She entered to find a line of people and Pop Star Jagged Stone sitting on a bench.
"Welcome, everyone, to the launch of Chloe's campaign! A special thank you to the world-famous Pop Star Jagged Stone for endorsing her," Mayor Bourgeois announced with a wide smile.
"And if you vote for me, you'll get free tickets to Jagged Stone's next concert!" Chloe declared, basking in the applause as Jagged Stone began signing autographs.
Alya grabbed an autograph and walked away with a big grin until Marinette stepped in front of her.
"You got an autograph?" Marinette asked angrily, crossing her arms.
"Yeah, I got one for you too. I'm sorry—I couldn't help myself," Alya admitted, holding out the autograph. Marinette almost took it before Alya quickly pulled it back.
"No, I'm not falling for it. But I'll forgive you if you vote for me," Marinette said, narrowing her eyes. Alya chuckled and nodded in agreement.
Just then, Leo walked in, carrying a stack of papers and posters, with Nathaniel following close behind, holding more supplies.
"Leo! Nathaniel! You made it!" Marinette exclaimed, her face lighting up with relief.
"We're here, and we're ready to take Chloe down," Leo said confidently, setting the stack of campaign posters and flyers on a nearby table. "Nathaniel even worked on some designs to make everything pop."
Nathaniel smiled shyly and handed Marinette a vibrant poster. It featured a bold and creative design with Marinette's name front and center, surrounded by uplifting slogans like "A Voice for Everyone" and "Leadership with Heart."
"These are amazing!" Marinette said, holding up one of the posters.
"Yeah, Nathaniel really outdid himself," Leo added, giving his friend a pat on the back. "With these, Chloe's campaign doesn't stand a chance."
Marinette glanced over her shoulder at Chloe, who was still basking in the attention from Jagged Stone's fans. She took a deep breath and turned back to her friends.
"Okay, let's do this. Alya, you can help distribute the flyers. Leo and Nathaniel, work on setting up the posters around the venue. I'll start talking to people one-on-one."
"Got it!" Alya said, grabbing a stack of flyers.
"Consider it done," Leo replied, grinning as he and Nathaniel began setting up posters.
Marinette squared her shoulders and approached a small group of students in line.
"Hi, everyone! I'm Marinette Dupain-Cheng, and I'm running for class representative. I believe every student deserves a voice and someone who will listen to their concerns. If you have any ideas or suggestions, I'd love to hear them!"
The students exchanged glances and nodded, clearly impressed by her genuine approach.
Meanwhile, Chloe noticed the activity from across the room. Her smile faltered as she saw Marinette handing out flyers and engaging with the crowd.
"Ugh, what is she doing?" Chloe muttered, narrowing her eyes. "Sabrina! Go find out what Marinette is up to."
Sabrina scurried off obediently, leaving Chloe to stew in her growing frustration.
Back at Marinette's table, the group was buzzing with excitement as more and more students stopped by to chat or grab a flyer. Leo returned, brushing his hands off after putting up the last poster.
"We're gaining momentum," Leo said, smiling. "I think we've got a real shot at this, Marinette."
Marinette looked around at her friends and the students gathered nearby. For the first time, she felt a spark of confidence.
"Thanks, Leo. We're doing this together," she said, her determination shining through.
Just then, Jagged Stone stood up from the bench and waved at the crowd.
"Alright, folks, that's all for today. Remember, vote Chloe!" he said with a grin.
Marinette clenched her fists but kept her composure.
"Let's focus on what we can do," she said to herself, already planning her next move.
On the Pont des Arts Bridge, Cat Noir and Frost Fang were battling Darkblade while his army awaited their inevitable victory. Using a precise fencing maneuver, Darkblade disarmed Cat Noir, sending his staff flying across the bridge.
"Seriously? How did I not see that coming?" Cat Noir groaned.
Frost Fang lunged forward with his daggers, but Darkblade quickly ordered one of his knights to seize him. The knight tackled Frost Fang, shoving him back toward Cat Noir. Both heroes tumbled to the ground in a heap.
"Seize them!" Darkblade commanded, his voice echoing over the bridge.
Frost Fang growled in frustration, his bracelet beginning to glow. "Alright, I've had enough of this. frostbite!" Taking a deep breath, he unleashed an icy blizzard that engulfed the area, shrouding himself and Cat Noir in swirling snow.
Taking advantage of the distraction, the two quickly leapt over the side of the bridge, disappearing from sight.
Cat Noir opened his mouth to speak, but Frost Fang put a finger to his lips, signaling him to stay quiet.
The troops rushed to the edge of the bridge, peering down, only to find that their targets had vanished.
"No time to waste! To City Hall!" Darkblade barked, turning to lead his army away.
Beneath the bridge, Cat Noir and Frost Fang were crouched together, hidden in the shadows.
"City Hall, huh?" Frost Fang muttered.
"You go ahead first. I'll catch up," Cat Noir said, glancing at his ring, which was blinking rapidly. Frost Fang's bracelet was doing the same.
"Yeah, looks like we both need to recharge our Kwamis," Frost Fang agreed.
The two heroes scaled the wall of the bridge silently, slipping away in opposite directions. Moments later, they detransformed.
Adrien pulled out a piece of Camembert and handed it to Plagg. The Kwami eagerly snatched it up, devouring the cheese with gusto.
"Where's Hot Wings?" Adrien asked
"He's busy with something. I texted him earlier on my PDA," Oliver replied, pulling out a piece of fish to feed Cloud, who chirped happily.
"Hey, can I ask you something?" Adrien said after a moment of silence.
"Yeah, what's up, Cat?" Oliver asked, raising an eyebrow as he munched on a snack of his own.
Adrien hesitated for a moment, glancing at Plagg, who was now lounging lazily in the air after finishing his cheese.
"Do you ever feel like… being a hero is a bit overwhelming?" Adrien asked, his tone quieter, almost uncertain.
Oliver tilted his head as he fed Cloud, who gave a content chirp before settling in his pocket. "Overwhelming? How so?"
Adrien rubbed the back of his neck. "I mean, juggling all of this. School, responsibilities, my father's constant rules… and then there's Ladybug. I don't know, sometimes it feels like too much."
Oliver leaned back, his bracelet gleaming faintly in the moonlight. "Yeah, I get that. It's a lot. But being Frost Fang… it reminds me why I do this. Protecting people, being there for those who can't defend themselves—it makes it worth it."
Adrien sighed, leaning against the wall. "I know what you mean. Being Cat Noir, I feel free, like I can be my true self. But sometimes, I feel like I'm just playing second fiddle to Ladybug. She's amazing, and I'm proud to fight by her side, but… I don't know if I'm enough."
Oliver frowned and stood up, dusting off his hands. "Cat, let me tell you something. You're not just Cat Noir. You're a hero in your own right. Ladybug might be your partner, but that doesn't make you any less important. You've saved this city more times than I can count. Don't sell yourself short."
Adrien gave a small smile forming on his face. "Thanks, wolfie . I needed that."
Oliver grinned and punched Adrien lightly on the shoulder behind the wall . "Anytime, man. Now, we've got a medieval wannabe to deal with, so let's get back to it."
Adrien's smile grew as he stood up and offered a fist bump. "Right. Plagg, claws out!"
Plagg zoomed into Adrien's ring, transforming him back into Cat Noir in a flash of green light.
Oliver looked down at his bracelet and called out, "Cloud, Fang's out!"
With a swirl of icy mist, Frost Fang stood ready beside Cat Noir, his daggers gleaming.
"Let's show Darkblade that this city belongs to its people, not his delusions," Cat Noir said, his staff extending with a metallic click.
"And remind him that Frostbite doesn't play fair," Frost Fang added with a smirk, his icy aura flaring.
The two heroes exchanged nods before leaping into the night, heading toward City Hall to stop Darkblade's march of conquest.
Meanwhile, at City Hall, Chloe had sent Sabrina to retrieve Marinette's diary to use as blackmail. What they didn't know was that Marinette had added a little security to ensure no one could access it.
Sabrina ran back to Chloe, who was impatiently waiting. "Did you get her diary?" Chloe asked.
"Sort of." Sabrina held up her hand, revealing a small pink box clamped tightly around it.
"What is that?!" Chloe demanded, furious.
"When I reached for her diary, this crazy box closed on my hand," Sabrina explained, showing that she couldn't pry it off.
"And I'm supposed to believe that? Why do I even bother?" Chloe groaned, exasperated, as Marinette walked over to their classmates.
"Don't you all see you're being bribed?" Marinette began. "Concert tickets are great, but they won't solve our school's problems."
"Yeah, she's right! Come on, guys," Leo chimed in. "Think about it—Chloe's the one who keeps getting people akumatized every time she makes them mad or upset!"
Nathaniel crossed his arms skeptically. "Well, what's your campaign?"
"Nate, seriously?" Leo said, throwing his hands up.
"Uh, well," Marinette began hesitantly, "I was thinking instead of hard chairs, we could get new cushions. Yours can be pink," she added to Rose. "And we can have music in the library—if you wear headphones, obviously," she said to Nino.
"Well, look at you, sounding like a Class Rep," Chloe said with a smug smirk. "Too bad you have no chance of winning. A word?" She grabbed Marinette's arm, leading her away from the group.
As they walked, Marinette spotted Sabrina holding the pink box. She gasped. "My diary! How did you—"
"If you don't back out now, all your secrets will be revealed," Chloe taunted, smirking wickedly.
"Don't! I mean, what secrets?" Marinette stammered nervously.
Leo, overhearing the exchange, walked over. "Yeah, Chloe. What secrets are you even talking about?" he said, crossing his arms.
Chloe turned to him with a dismissive sneer. "We'll find out as soon as I get my hands on a chainsaw," she threatened, causing Sabrina to flinch in fear.
Suddenly, the sound of trumpets blaring interrupted them. The group turned toward the noise.
Opening the door, they peeked outside to see Darkblade's army assembled at City Hall's entrance.
"Oyez, oyez! Darkblade shall now speak!" one of the knights declared as Darkblade stepped forward.
"Listen, or be imprisoned!" Darkblade bellowed. "My flag shalt fly over this kingdom! Bourgeois, pathetic knave, come forth and do battle!"
"What did he say?" Mayor Bourgeois asked, clueless and trembling.
"Basically, he's going to bust you up," Alya translated flatly.
"Tell my secretary to schedule an appointment," the mayor muttered, slamming the door shut in fear.
Leo glanced at his PDA, which began to beep. Pulling it from his pocket, he read the text from Oliver. His expression turned grim. "Great. Just great," he muttered under his breath, shooting a quick glance at Marinette.
Outside, leaping down from the rooftops, Cat Noir and Frost Fang launched their weapons, knocking the knights back.
"Do you guys only play heavy metal?" Cat Noir quipped, smirking as he extended his staff.
"Up for round two?" Frost Fang asked with a wolfish grin, pulling out his dagger as icy mist swirled around him.
The two heroes dove into the fight, taking on the knight army and sending them flying one by one with precise teamwork.
"Par le fer!" Darkblade roared, jumping down from the platform to face Frost Fang.
The two engaged in an intense sword fight, sparks flying as their blades clashed. Cat Noir darted in to assist, weaving between strikes and deflecting attacks with his staff.
"Looks like you bit off more than you can chew!" Frost Fang taunted, parrying Darkblade's strike and countering with a swift slash that sent a frosty wave toward the villain.
"Thy jesting shall be thy undoing!" Darkblade retorted, lunging forward with renewed aggression.
The battle raged on, the clash of weapons and the cries of combat echoing across City Hall.
Inside, the clanging noise of metal alerted Jagged Stone.
"Wait, is that the sound of crazed fans? I can totally handle them," he said, grabbing his guitar and walking out the front door.
As he started playing, he noticed Frost Fang and Darkblade locked in combat. Frost Fang pushed Darkblade back, only for Darkblade to sic his army on the two heroes, forcing them to retreat.
"Behold, a minstrel," Darkblade announced, walking toward Jagged Stone.
"Guys, guys, I know you love me, but there's no need to fight over me," Jagged Stone said nervously.
"Are you the usurper's champion?" Darkblade demanded.
"Say what now?" Jagged Stone asked, moments before Darkblade zapped him with a beam, transforming him into another knight.
"Kneel before the flag of Darkblade! Bow down before my eyes!" Darkblade commanded, marching toward the doors.
Frightened, the students slammed the doors shut right in front of him.
"Oh no!" Chloe screamed.
"What do we do?" Ivan asked.
"The doors! Quickly!" Marinette ordered.
"The doors! Quickly!" Chloe parroted as if it were her idea.
"Quit it, Chloe," Marinette said.
"Quit it, Chloe," Chloe repeated before realizing what she had said.
Running up the stairs, Tikki flew out of Marinette's bag.
"Tikki, what am I going to do? Cat Noir and Frost Fang need Ladybug, but my class needs me too," Marinette said anxiously.
"Trust your instincts," Tikki said reassuringly.
Leo walked over, his expression calm but encouraging.
"She's right, Marinette. Trust yourself. You save Paris every day, and your plans are amazing. I know you can show everyone you're the class president they need. Just be yourself, Buggles," Leo said softly, making Marinette blush.
As the knights rammed against the door, Marinette quickly took charge.
"Kim, Ivan, lock the doors and make sure all the windows are closed—quickly!" Marinette commanded, and they ran to follow her orders. "Nino, Rose, Juleka, Mylene, Alya, come with me!"
"Good job, girl! There's a future class rep in the making," Alya praised.
"I was going to do the same thing," Chloe muttered.
"Yeah, right. You were hiding under a desk," Leo said, earning a glare from Chloe.
As the students built a barricade out of whatever they could find, Nino spoke up.
"I hope Frost Fang and Cat Noir are okay."
"And where's Fireblaze? Shouldn't he be with them?" Nathaniel asked.
"Don't worry, Nate. He'll be there soon," Leo said under his breath, glancing at soll in his pocket as he gripped his necklace.
"It's time to retreat! Sir, we need to get out of here," Marinette urged the mayor, who nodded in agreement.
"Everyone, this way!" he instructed, leading the students up the staircase.
"You guys go ahead. I'll make sure all the windows are closed," Marinette said.
"Leo, you should go with the others," Marinette added.
"I know, but I wanted to wish you good luck. Don't overdo it out there. Remember, you've still got your club. Good luck, Buggles," Leo said before slipping into an empty room.
Marinette froze, her face burning as she processed his words.
"Wait a minute... the only one who calls me that is Fireblaze," she thought for a moment before shaking her head. "It can't be."
"Marinette, come on!" Tikki urged.
"Right, right. Tikki, spots on!" Marinette said, her earrings glowing as she transformed into Ladybug.
She leapt out of the window, swinging away with her yo-yo. Meanwhile, Leo stood in the shadows of the empty room.
Soll flew out of Leo's pocket, giving him a knowing look.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Leo asked.
"You still like her, don't you? Even if you won't admit it," Soll teased.
"Okay, yeah, maybe a little, but we're just friends. Nothing more, nothing less. Besides, she likes Adrien, and I have to accept that," Leo said firmly.
"Now, let's go help her—I mean, the team," he added as his necklace began to glow. Flames erupted, swirling around him as he prepared to transform.
"Soll, flame on!"
The fiery transformation began. Sparks ignited at Leo's fingertips, forming sleek black gloves. Flames traveled up his arms, creating black-and-red gauntlets glowing with heat.
Fire swirled around his face, forming a black mask with fiery accents as his eyes flared with orange light. His hair briefly caught fire, settling into an ember-like shine.
The flames cascaded over his body, melting away his regular clothes and replacing them with a form-fitting red suit adorned with golden, flame-like patterns. A fiery phoenix emblem glowed on his chest, radiating warmth.
His cape, made of flickering fire, trailed behind him as flames shaped his boots. Twin swords formed in his hands, their intricate, flame-etched details shimmering.
Fireblaze spun the swords effortlessly and struck a heroic pose, his cape billowing in the fiery wind.
Outside, Cat Noir and Frost Fang were surrounded.
"Get back, you tin cans!" Cat Noir shouted as Ladybug's yo-yo dropped down in front of them.
"Grab on, you two!" Ladybug yelled as she pulled them up and into the hallway on the second floor.
"Sorry, guys. I was doing damage control inside," Ladybug said.
"Thanks for the save, but we were doing just fine down there," Cat Noir said confidently.
"Speak for yourself," Frost Fang muttered as Fireblaze collapsed next to them, out of breath.
"Sorry I'm late, guys," Fireblaze said. "I had to fight some knights on my way here. Also, thanks for the heads-up, Frost Fang."
"Yeah, no problem," Frost Fang replied with a grin.
"Column formation!" Darkblade commanded as his knights stacked themselves like towers, attempting to climb City Hall.
Ladybug swung out, knocking them down, while Cat Noir, Fireblaze, and Frost Fang attacked from the windows.
"Cursed acrobats!" Darkblade spat angrily.
He approached two parked cars, knighting them and transforming them into catapults. The knights launched themselves toward City Hall, baffling the four heroes.
"Why are they all aiming for the roof?" Frost Fang asked as one knight smashed into the wall near them.
"Well, most of them, anyway," Cat Noir quipped.
"The flag," Ladybug and Fireblaze realized at the same time, glancing at each other.
"Tallyho!" Darkblade bellowed as the catapult launched him to the top of City Hall, where the French flag waved. "Once my coat of arms flies here, I shall reign supreme!"
Darkblade cut down the French flag as his knights raised his banner.
"The Akuma must be in his sword," Ladybug deduced.
"How are we gonna get it?" Cat Noir asked.
"By getting close to him!" Ladybug declared, throwing her yo-yo to wrap around Darkblade's arm. It hoisted her upward, and she leaped toward him, aiming for the sword.
Darkblade swung it, forcing her to dodge at the last second.
"Cat Noir, Fireblaze, Frost Fang—don't let him hang the banner!" Ladybug shouted.
"Villains, thou hast not impressed me! By the power of darkness, I declare all the people in this kingdom are mine!" Darkblade declared, planting his flag at the top of City Hall.
A dark circle formed in the sky, engulfing Paris as beams of dark light rained down. Everyone touched by the beams transformed into knights, all marching toward City Hall.
Darkblade cackled. "Soon you shall join my army, you venomous insects!"
"Not if I have anything to say about it!" Cat Noir yelled, leaping toward him and raising his staff. "En garde!"
While Cat Noir clashed with Darkblade, Fireblaze and Frost Fang charged at the knight army surrounding them.
"Frostbite!" Frost Fang's bracelet glowed as he inhaled deeply and unleashed a blast of icy wind, freezing a group of knights in a solid block of ice. He kicked the frozen knights off the roof, leaving Darkblade isolated.
Ladybug gave Frost Fang a thumbs-up, but her expression shifted as the dark beam in the sky inched closer.
"Ladybug, use Lucky Charm! I have an idea," Fireblaze said, getting into a defensive stance.
"Lucky Charm!" Ladybug spun her yo-yo, and a small wind-up ladybug toy appeared in her hands. "Uh… okay?" She looked around for clues and noticed the gap in Darkblade's armor. "Let's hope he's ticklish," she muttered.
As Cat Noir fought Darkblade, the villain shifted into a signature stance.
"Not this time!" Cat Noir smirked, dodging the attack and countering with his staff.
"Solar Flare Burst!" Fireblaze shouted, his necklace glowing brightly. A small sun formed in his hands, unleashing a blinding flash of light that momentarily disoriented Darkblade.
As Darkblade rubbed his eyes, Ladybug swung in, tossing her wind-up toy into the gap in his armor. The toy scurried inside, making him laugh uncontrollably and forcing him to drop his sword.
Cat Noir grabbed the sword and flung it into the air. Ladybug caught it with her yo-yo and snapped it in half, stopping the dark beam and releasing the Akuma.
"No more evil-doing for you, little Akuma," Ladybug said, capturing it in her yo-yo and turning it back into a butterfly. "Bye-bye, little butterfly! Miraculous Ladybug!"
The wind-up toy transformed into a flurry of magical energy, restoring everyone and turning Darkblade back into D'Argencourt.
"Pound it!" The four heroes fist-bumped triumphantly.
Suddenly, Frost Fang's bracelet beeped.
"Whoops, gotta run!" Frost Fang said, hurrying off.
"Yeah, me too!" Cat Noir called as he dashed away.
"Bye, Ladybug! See ya!" Fireblaze added, following suit.
Ladybug watched them go, her resolve unwavering.
"Our duel is not over, Ladybug. At the end of our battle, I will rule!" Hawk Moth vowed from his lair.
Back at City Hall, Ladybug swings in and transforms back into Marinette.
"See, Marinette? You can be Ladybug and class rep," Tikki said.
"Yeah, I didn't think I could do it until I had no choice," Marinette said, rubbing the back of her head. As she walked downstairs, she didn't notice Fireblaze transforming back into Leo.
"So, what are you going to do about that club you made up on the spot?" Soll asked.
"I don't know yet, but I think I might have an idea," Leo said as Soll flew back inside his pocket.
Walking down the staircase, they saw everyone taking down the barricade.
"Well, look who it is. Where were you two hiding? Under a rock?" Chloe asked.
"Very funny, Chloe. I was transformed into a knight," Marinette replied.
"Yeah, me too. I was trying to help her close windows, but I got turned into a knight as well," Leo added as Adrien and Oliver walked by.
"So were we. It was a real knightmare," Adrien said with a smirk.
"Medieval times are not my thing," Oliver added.
"Now that that's out of the way, I want my personal items back," Marinette said, getting everyone's attention.
"I have no idea what you're talking about," Chloe lied, but Sabrina stepped forward.
"Yes, please take it off," Sabrina said as Marinette took out a key and opened the box, freeing Sabrina's hand.
"So, Chloe, any reason why Sabrina had that?" Oliver asked as Alya held up her phone, recording the moment.
"I didn't take her diary, and I'm offended you would think that," Chloe said defensively.
"I didn't tell you my diary was in here," Marinette said, reaching into the box and pulling it out. Everyone gasped.
"It was Sabrina's idea!" Chloe exclaimed, denying all responsibility.
"So uncool," Nino said.
"Well, with this, you're our new class rep. Nobody is gonna vote for Chloe now," Alya said.
"Hold on, Alya," Marinette interrupted.
"Ha! See? She's undependable. She's already giving up," Chloe mocked.
"No, I'm not. I want to be voted in fairly—not because you don't want to vote for Chloe, but because you believe in me. I'm not going to make promises I can't keep. I won't get you everything you want, but I am resourceful, and I know how to prioritize. I'm a good listener and a multitasker. I want to be someone you can all believe in. So vote for Marinette for student class representative!" Marinette declared.
The crowd erupted in cheers.
"Did you write that speech?" Nathaniel asked.
"No, I didn't, Nate. She did it on her own in her miraculous way," Leo said as Nathaniel gave him a grin.
The next day at school, it was pretty obvious who was going to win, and everyone was cheering as Marinette and Alya stood at the front of the class.
"By majority vote, Marinette is the new class representative, and Alya will be her deputy," Ms. Bustier announced, smiling warmly as the class erupted in cheers.
"Those two are gonna make a great team," Adrien said with a grin.
"For sure," Oliver added, smiling proudly at his friends' success.
Leo stepped to the front of the class, glancing at Marinette as they exchanged nods of understanding.
"Well, I wanted to run something by her real quick," Leo began, addressing the class. "I was thinking our class could use a club. After everything that's been happening lately with the Akuma attacks, I came up with the perfect name for it."
Nathaniel stepped forward, holding up a folded banner. He handed it to Marinette and Leo, who carefully unfolded it for everyone to see.
As Marinette and Leo unfolded the banner, the bold, colorful letters on it revealed the name: "The Hero's Haven."
The class murmured in excitement, admiring the name.
"The Hero's Haven?" Marinette asked, her eyes lighting up.
"Yeah," Leo said, his voice steady and confident. "A club where we can support each other through all the craziness Akuma attacks bring. A place where we can brainstorm ideas to keep the school safer and even come up with ways to help the community. Everyone would be welcome—no one left out."
"That's... a brilliant idea!" Alya said enthusiastically. "With all the stuff going on lately, having a space to stay organized and support each other is perfect!"
"Not bad, Leo," Nathaniel chimed in, smiling. "You've been holding out on us with these ideas."
"Thanks," Leo replied, a faint blush creeping across his cheeks.
"Hero's Haven," Adrien repeated, nodding in approval. "I think it's exactly what this class needs."
Oliver grinned. "Count me in. I'm all for a club where we can work together like that."
"Me too!" Rose exclaimed, clapping her hands together.
"Sounds cool," Nino added with a thumbs up. "I'm game."
Marinette smiled, glancing around the room as the excitement grew. "Leo, this is such a thoughtful idea. I'd love to help get it started."
"You're gonna need help organizing it," Alya said, already jotting down notes on her phone. "And since I'm the deputy, I guess that's my job, too."
Ms. Bustier smiled warmly. "It seems you've already inspired your classmates, Marinette and Leo. The Hero's Haven sounds like a wonderful initiative. Once you've finalized the details, let me know, and I'll help you set everything up."
"Thanks, Ms. Bustier," Marinette said, her voice filled with gratitude.
As the class buzzed with excitement, Chloe crossed her arms, rolling her eyes. "Oh, great. Another excuse for you all to play heroes. How predictable."
Sabrina hesitated, glancing at Chloe, then back at the class. "Actually, it sounds kinda fun..."
Chloe shot her a sharp look, and Sabrina quickly fell silent.
Leo looked at Marinette and smiled. "Looks like we've got a lot of work ahead of us."
Marinette grinned back. "Good thing I'm not afraid of a challenge."
The class burst into cheers again, their energy renewed as the idea of The Hero's Haven took root in their minds.
