It was a normal day for the Tennysons, they were bonding like old times, By this point, Ben had reached the age of 20. He had grown more muscular and was now combat-ready in every way possible. But there was still a problem. There were signs that Vilgax was planning to take revenge on Ben and kill him. He left his army's insignia in certain areas, destroyed some of the places that Ben knew all too well and left some very disturbing messages. One of them read "This battle is going to be a "blast", Ben Tennyson.".
Ben shuddered at the signs of Vilgax wanting revenge, planning to come to Earth and kill him. Gwen and Max were like emotional support to him occasionally, but that wasn't enough. He now had a wife named Catherine and two children named Sean and Hazel. He wanted them to be out of harm's way as much as possible, and so to Gwen and Max. Max was already very old, weak and frail. Some of his body parts had to be replaced by robotic ones. Meanwhile, Gwen was still strong. But Ben didn't want her involved as much as possible. As much as Gwen wanted to help him, Ben would advise her to keep out of this as it was "his fight".
A few minutes later...
Ben was pacing around his new room in a building he called the "Tennyson Tower", he feared for the safety of his wife and children. Suddenly, his Omnitrix started beeping.
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
A new message had popped up on it, Ben checked on it and it read "We are coming for you!". He shuddered even more, he knew who it could be from.
Meanwhile...
It had been a long, long time since Vilgax last met Ben. He had met the boy again in his teens (16's), now he wanted another shot at revenge.
"Once I have the Omnitrix, I will use it to finally destroy the world that Ben Tennyson lives in. -Earth! And this time, I will eviscerate him into a bloody pulp before I take over his planet as punishment for foiling my plans once too often. AHAHAHAHAHA!"
"Master, our ship has been fully repaired. All systems operational."
"Prepare for take off. There is someone I want to destroy first. He may interfere with my plans."
Vilgax's robots started the now repaired and improved Chimeran Hammer. Not much has changed about it externally, but it had better performance parts that made it run more efficiently and faster. It started to fly, before taking off into the vastness of space. As the Chimeran Hammer flew into space, something crashed into it!
CRASH!
"Agh! Wh-What was that?!"
"-VILGAX!"
"-Huh?!"
Someone spoke through another ship's microphone. Particularly, a ship that was circular, white and had blue linings. -It was the Shooting Star! -And Azmuth! They had not been seen anywhere in space for a while. There was a theory that Azmuth and the other of his kind were doing the same thing as Vilgax and his army a few months back, gathering resources and preparing for war.
"Vilgax, surrender and pull over your vessel or we will be forced to attack!"
FLASH!
Azmuth told Vilgax to surrender, but Vilgax didn't listen. Instead, he attacked. Making his ship fire at Azmuth's. Luckily, the Shooting Star was able to dodge the blast before ramming into the Chimeran Hammer.
BAM!
"Argh!" said Vilgax, before the robot that was driving maneuvered his ship into pushing into the Shooting Star.
BAM!
SCREEECH!
The Shooting Star and the Chimeran Hammer scraped against each other, chipping each other's paints and damaging each other's sides. "Give up, Vilgax! You cannot win!" shouted Azmuth, before he made his ship fire a huge laser at the front of the Chimeran hammer.
FLASH!
BOOM!
The Chimeran Hammer's engine started shaking and sputtering again. Then, the ship itself started to plummet down towards the emptiness of space again. "NO! NOT AGAIN!" roared Vilgax as he tried to control it, but failed. Suddenly, the emergency controls popped up. He used those to try and lead his ship to safety. Or at least land on something that won't damage it much.
The Chimeran Hammer caught fire, before heading straight to a planet we're all familiar with. -Earth. More fire formed around it, before it headed straight for the planet and everything that was inside it.
FWOOSH!
Some of the people saw it descending rapidly from the sky and heading straight for them. They screamed and quickly got out of the way before it crashed into the middle of the street.
CRASH!
SCREEECH!
When it stopped, Vilgax and his robots were forced to come out. Vilgax inspected the damage done to his ship. Most of the outer parts weren't damaged much, but the engine would need repairs again. "I just repaired this vessel!" he roared, before he and his robots spread out. "Find the Omnitrix. And do not return until it is brought back to me." Vilgax commanded, before his robots spread out even more. Then, he started searching for the Omnitrix as well.
Meanwhile, Ben was leading his wife, his children, Gwen and Max out of Earth. He received a message that said Vilgax and his army would take over and enslave Earth if they won against him. "B-Ben, wh-what are you-" Gwen tried to ask, but before she could finish her question Ben locked the escape pod she and the others were in. "I'm sorry." said Ben, before pressing the "eject" button. "-NO!" yelled Gwen, but it was no use. The escape pod launched her and the others out of Earth, where it is assumed that they would be safe in.
"Ugh! Damn it! H-How could he do this to us?!" yelled Gwen in frustration as she slammed on the indestructible glass door of the pod. "Well, we can't do anything now. If we try to get out, we'll be unable to breathe in space." replied Max, "I-I wish he'd let us help him!" Gwen shouted even more. "Ben only wants what's best for us. And he picked that right now." Max added, "Ugh!" said Gwen as she banged on the glass once again before slumping on the floor. She couldn't do anything, the escape pod was designed to be resistant to most kinds of magic. -And that included her magic. "I-I just wish he'd let us help him..." Gwen said weakly, before a tear came out of her eye. Max then went up to her, before putting a hand on her shoulder. By this point, Gwen had formed a special bond with Ben. They had tolerate each others' differences and helped each other out more. And for Ben to just push her and the others away like this...
Meanwhile...
CRASH!
A huge, bug-like ship landed on the ground near Ben. When it opened up, it revealed an alien that looked like Vilgax. Soon, more bug-like ships came. -And they all revealed the same kinds of aliens. It was war! Vilgax had declared war against Earth, if his side won he and his kind would take over and enslave Earth. -Especially as punishment for Ben protecting it from him all these years. Finally, Vilgax himself arrived. He came out of the smaller ship before coming a little closer.
"Prepare to face my full wrath!"
FLASH! FLASH! FLASH! FLASH!
Vilgax bulked himself up, black and white flashes then surrounded him. After that, he charged towards Ben.
"TENNYSON!"
FLASH!
Ben went Wildmutt and tried lunging at Vilgax. However, Vilgax managed to grab him by the tail before swinging him around and throwing him.
CRASH!
Ben whined in pain as he laid there on the ground with broken pieces of rock on him. Then, Vilgax walked right up to him before grabbing him by the throat and roaring "Now... I will claim what is rightfully mine!". He threw Ben into the ground, before preparing to smash him. Suddenly
FLASH!
FLASH! FLASH! FLASH! FLASH!
"AAAHHH!"
THUD!
"Have a peek at the ghost with the most freak!"
Ben switched to Ghostfreak, before allowing Vilgax's arm to phase through him. Then, he flew up and phased his hands towards Vilgax's head. Black and white flashes blurred Vilgax's vision as he was being stunned. Then, he fell to the ground. "U-Urgh..." he groaned as he tried to get back up, but he couldn't. "Best you leave now, or this won't end well for you!" growled Ben unsheathing his claws from the skin of his hand. But Vilgax didn't think so and instead pulled out a sword. Its blade burst into flames, before he swung it towards Ben. Ben flew upwards to dodge it and tried phasing his hands through his head again. However, Vilgax ducked and rolled out of the way.
"You can't keep this up forever, Tennyson! Attack!" said Vilgax. Then, his army started trying to attack Ben.
PEW! PEW! PEW! PEW! PEW! PEW!
FLASH!
BOOM!
Explosions happened all around as lasers and explosives were sent towards Ben. Luckily, he could phase through all of them and try to escape. "No one escapes from me that easily." growled Vilgax, before following Ben.
FLASH!
"Wasn't planning to!"
ZOOM!
BAM!
"Agh!"
Ben went XLR8, before speeding towards Vilgax and hitting him in the face. Unfortunately, it barely did anything to him this time. In fact, it just made him angrier! He took out a big blaster before firing it.
FLASH!
"Agh! Oomph! Oomph! Ow!"
THUMP!
Ben was sent flying towards the ground, it now had a few cracks and holes in it because of how hard he crashed through it. Just then, Vilgax started walking towards him again. Just then
FLASH!
FWOOSH!
"Agh!"
He went Heatblast before blasting him with fire. Just then, Vilgax's army started attacking him. They took him on in every direction until he was surrounded. They beat him up and mauled him.
"Agh! Agh! Agh! Agh! Agh!"
FLASH!
Ben transformed into Grey Matter to avoid getting beat up even further, he slipped out of the crowd before changing into something else.
FLASH!
"Humungousaur!"
BAM! BAM! BAM!
"RAAAGH!"
Ben changed into Humungousaur, before beating up many of Vilgax's army members. He ripped them apart and squashed them, splattering alien blood all over the area. Just then, a whirring could be heard in the sky. Blue ships then appeared into the air. It was the plumbers! They had come to help Ben. They started firing their ships at Vilgax and his army.
PEW! PEW! PEW! PEW! PEW! PEW!
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Many of the members of Vilgax's army were killed and destroyed, they fought back destroying some of the plumber ships and killing some of the plumbers. An all out war broke out between Ben and the plumbers v.s. Vilgax and his army.
PEW! PEW! PEW! PEW! PEW! PEW!
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
"HAHAHAHAHA!"
Vilgax laughed as he saw all the destruction that was unfolding. Soon, his army were slowly decreasing the number of plumber ships in the battlefield. So the plumbers called for backup.
"Code 4! Code 4! We need immediate assistance pronto!"
"Your request has been received, backup will arrive in three minutes."
The backup would arrive in three minutes, but would that be enough time? Given the circumstances, I don't think so. Just then...
SMASH!
BAM!
"Argh!"
Ben had changed into Fourarms, he was just smashed through a huge rock by Vilgax himself! Then, Vilgax jumped high into the air before pinning him down and grabbing him by the neck once more. He roared, before yelling "I HAVE HAD IT WITH YOU TENNYSON! NO MORE! IT'S TIME TO GET RID OF YOU ONCE AND FOR ALL! AHAHAHAHA!".
Vilgax raised his claw up, before preparing to slash into Ben's head. Ben tried struggling to break free, but it was too late. Vilgax swiped his claw down, piercing his head and killing him. "Agh!" shouted Ben as his brain was pierced through. His head bled profusely, before he immediately died after. "AHAHAHAHAHAAA!" laughed Vilgax, before carrying Ben's body upwards for everyone to see.
"Is this your hero? Well, he's no more!"
SMASH!
"AHAHAHAHAAA!"
"Code 16! Code 16! Man down! Ben Tennyson down! Ben Tennyson down!"
"-WHAT?!"
As soon as the other plumbers heard what this plumber said, they were alarmed. Ben was a big help in the fight. Without him, they had more chances of losing. Vilgax's army slowly plowed through them all. And this went on and on and on for a long while until... -there was nothing left. "HAHAHAHA!" Vilgax laughed as he saw the mess of internal organs, blood and ships parts in front of him. He and his army had won. -Or did they?
FLASH!
"Oh no, we're too late!"
"Okabe, quick! Activate the Phonewave now!"
Suddenly, two people appeared. It was Okabe and Kurisu! They had arrived just in time to see the horrors that had unfolded in the battlefield. Kurisu told Okabe to activate the "Phonewave" (the device Okabe worked on) and travel back in time before all of this happened, so Okabe did. And with that
FLASH!
Okabe and Kurisu had travelled back in time before the battle happened. This time, they had some other friends along with them. "You ready, Okabe?" said Kurisu, Okabe nodded in response before he and Kurisu prepared for battle.
The battle unfolded like before, with Vilgax's army having the upper hand and Ben being close to dying. Just then, Kurisu yelled "NOW!".
BEEP!
FLASH!
"Agh!"
Okabe pressed a button on his phone, this caused Vilgax and his army to stop. "H-Huh? Wh-What happened?!" Ben said in confusion. Then, he turned around and saw Okabe and Kurisu. "Okabe?! Kurisu?!" he said in surprise, "Do it, Ben! Finish the job!" yelled Kurisu. Ben nodded, before rushing towards Vilgax and trying to punch him. However...
"-RRR-RRGH!"
BAM!
"Agh!"
THUD!
"BEN!"
"BEN! NO!"
"Ungh..."
Vilgax somehow managed to break free from being frozen in time. Then, he took a great big punch at Ben sending him flying into a rock. Ben groaned as he slumped on the ground. Just then, Vilgax grabbed him by the neck and started suffocating him. "Agh! Agh! Agh!" groaned Ben as he tried breaking free, but he couldn't. "-YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS HAVE BEEN THORNS IN MY SIDE LONG ENOUGH! Now, I will take what's rightfully mine!" roared Vilgax, before he tapped the Omnitrix.
FLASH!
"-RRRAGH!"
SMASH!
"Agh!"
Vilgax smashed Ben into the ground. Then, he took out a device. It was the same claw-like device that appeared on Ben's dream in the previous chapter which removed the Omnitrix there! Vilgax pinned Ben to the ground, before stabbing the claw-like device on top of him. He then started operating it.
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
FLASH!
"AAAHHH!"
"-BEN! -NO! -LEAVE HIM ALONE!"
"-RRAGH!"
BAM!
THUMP!
THUD!
"Oomph!"
"Oomph!"
The device started to remove the Omnitrix, it was just as painful as the dream version of it that happened four years ago. "AAAHHH!" screamed Ben as it started removing the Omnitrix even further. The same things happened as in the dream with the Omnitrix's removal. The removal was painful, and part of Ben's left arm had been disintegrated.
"AAAHHH!"
SPLATCH!
"AHAHAHAHAHAAA!"
"-NO!"
Blood splattered where Ben's left arm used to be, Kurisu covered her eyes as she couldn't bear to watch. Once the Omnitrix's removal was over, it was placed in a spherical container similar to the one in the dream. Then, Vilgax took it. "At last, finally! The Omnitrix... -is mine! AHAHAHAHAHAAA!" Vilgax gloated, before putting it on.
"Ungh..." groaned Ben as he got back up. Then, he said "There, you have what you wanted. Now leave me alone!". "Oh, I don't think so Tennyson. You foiled my plans one too many times. But worst of all, you caused my reputation as a conqueror and a terrifying warlord to deteriorate. You humiliated me, people and other living beings sometimes mocked me for being beaten by a mere human like you. But no more. This time... I'm going to end you... -once... -AND FOR ALL!" replied Vilgax before he tried to sink his claws into Ben's head again. However
"Pile Bunker!"
BAM!
"Argh!"
Some people were in charge of managing a huge robot, they made it use a move called "Pile Bunker" on Vilgax smashing him into the ground. "Alright!" one of them said as it happened. Just then, another one of them said "Right, let's finish this! Gunvarrank Counter!".
The robot raised its arm up, before trying to smash Vilgax into the ground even further. However, Vilgax narrowed his eyes before stopping the robot's hand. He pulled and twisted on it, ripping it from the robot itself. The people who were managing the robot gasped in surprise as they saw what happened. "D-Dammit!" said Okabe, this battle wasn't over yet.
"RRAGH!" roared Vilgax, before he completely obliterated the robot's arm. Then, he said "You can bring as many friends as you want, Tennyson. But no matter who you bring, I will always find ways to stop them. You cannot keep this up forever, Tennyson! Sooner or later, your friends will be exhausted. And you will have no one to help you. AHAHAHAHA!".
"That's where you're wrong!"
FWOOSH!
"Wh-What?!"
A voice then echoed throughout the currently half silent battlefield, -it was Gwen! And the others were with her! "G-Gwen?!" Ben asked in surprise, before adding "H-How did you-". "It dosen't matter how, we're here to help you. Pretty hypocritical of you to send us away when you've got other friends here." replied Gwen, "I didn't bring them here." Ben replied back. "It dosen't matter how many friends you bring or come help you, because I will destroy all of you!" roared Vilgax, before he started blasting with eye lasers.
FLASH!
BOOM!
"AAAHHH!"
Everyone started running as Vilgax blasted his eye lasers everywhere. Ben then took the chance to use his now disintegrated left arm to break free of the claw-like device on top of him and escape. He started panting, before running off towards the distance. Vilgax noticed this and yelled "-COME BACK HERE YOU LITTLE-" before trying to chase him. However, he was stopped when Okabe and Kurisu fired real laser guns towards him.
PEW! PEW!
"Agh!"
THUMP!
The lasers made Vilgax fall, they didn't damage him but they were enough to deter him. Just then, someone said "Alright, one more time! Gunvarrank Counter!" before making the robot use that move again.
Meanwhile, Ben tried to keep on running. But his body was starting to give out. His arms (or rather, one arm now) and legs felt weak, and he was feeling dizzy. His vision blurred. Then, he fell on the ground. He was severely weakened from the claw-like device that removed the Omnitrix, it caused a LOT of blood loss to make him feel weak. Just then
"Hello again, Ben."
"H-Huh?! E-Elizabeth?!"
It became pitch-black once again, before a familiar face appeared in Ben's mind. -It was Elizabeth! She had come to help Ben again.
"Wh-Why are you in my mind right now? Have you come to help me again?"
"Yes. Listen, if you don't win this war Vilgax will enslave your planet. And it's only a few minutes before the effects of the Phonewave wear off. Get Catherine to heal your arm, I will be helping her from afar. I do not have the strength to help you like I did before, my gigalomaniac energy is running out. Good luck, Ben. And please... -win this war."
FLASH!
Once Elizabeth disappeared from Ben's mind, Ben was able to get back up again. He had stopped bleeding, but his left arm was still missing. It's like Elizabeth told him, he needed Catherine to heal him. Catherine is a gigalomaniac, so she should be able to do it. Wasting no time, Ben ran back to his wife.
Meanwhile, everyone else tried their best to stop Vilgax. But no matter how hard they tried, they couldn't defeat him. The robot was destroyed, and Okabe and Kurisu's blasters were missing. Worst of all, the Phonewave overloaded and stopped working. If this battle is lost, then it couldn't be reversed anymore.
"AHAHAHAHAAA! Did all of you actually think that you stood a chance against the mighty Vilgax?! AHAHAHAHAHAAA!"
As Vilgax was gloating, Ben hid behind a destroyed wall and peeked from behind it. He then snuck over to where his wife was. When he did
"O-Oh! B-Ben! Y-You scared me!"
"Catherine, no time. Please, heal my arm. Someone told me you should do it."
"Let me guess, Elizabeth?"
"H-How did you-"
"I-It's a long story, but if you want me to heal your arm then sure."
"Also, can you help me get the Omnitrix back?"
"Alright."
Catherine started healing Ben's arm. Soon, it was back to normal. "Alright! Now, let's get the Omnitrix back before Vilgax uses it for evil!" added Ben, Catherine nodded in agreement before the two went off.
"Ahahahaha! And now, watch as I destroy this world and enslave what's left with my own army of bioids!"
"Not gonna happen!"
"H-Huh?!"
Ben and Catherine went behind Vilgax, they hid behind another wall so they wouldn't be noticed. "Not gonna happen!" said Catherine, "H-Huh?!" said Vilgax in confusion as he looked around. No Ben or Catherine. Just then
FLASH!
"Agh!"
THUD!
A green blast was thrown at him! Catherine threw it! It sent him flying into a rock, and he hit it hard with a loud thud! While Vilgax was down, Ben quickly rushed towards him before taking the Omnitrix back just as fast.
FWOOSH!
"H-Huh?!"
Vilgax was surprised, the Omnitrix wasn't on his wrist anymore. -It was on Ben's! "-WHY YOU LITTLE-" he roared, before trying to rush after him. "This ends now, Vilgax! It's hero time!" said Ben, before slamming on the Omnitrix.
FLASH!
After the blue light disappeared, Ben was still the same as before. "Hahaha! Looks like your Omnitrix won't save you now!" said Vilgax as he kept rushing towards him. "I think I know what this form is." Ben said smirking, before punching Vilgax once he got close enough to him.
BAM!
"Argh!"
CRASH!
A burst of green energy emerged once Ben punched Vilgax, Vilgax was sent flying into another rock. This time, the rock was destroyed. "Ungh..." he groaned, before trying to get back up. "Alright! Gigalomaniac form!" said Ben, before running towards Vilgax again. "Use it." a voice inside his head spoke, he knew who it was. -Elizabeth. Ben followed what Elizabeth said as he smashed the ground. A burst of energy rushed through it, before finally emerging and hitting Vilgax. "AAAHHH!" Vilgax screamed. Once the energy stopped, he fainted and landed on the ground with a thump. "Finish the job." Elizabeth spoke in Ben's head. Ben agreed in his mind, before jumping and punching Vilgax.
"RAAH!"
BOOM!
Smoke flew everywhere. Once it cleared, it revealed Vilgax laying unconscious on the ground. Everyone else then started cheering for Ben, they then began shouting his name. Just then, something unusual happened. Ben's body began aging rapidly, causing him pain in his joints and bones. "A-Agh!" said Ben as he felt himself getting older and older. "-B-Ben!" said Gwen as she and Max rushed up to him, "Oh no!" Catherine said before rushing in as well.
"AGH!" groaned Ben as his body continued to grow older and older. Then
FLASH!
He returned back to his normal form. Everyone was confused at what happened, but Ben knew. Elizabeth had told him about how gigalomaniac bodies age rapidly when they use their powers both frequently and intensely. That was what happened to Ben's gigalomaniac form. With that, it was deleted from the Omnitrix since it was no longer useful. This form had ran out of power. "Wh-What?!" said Ben, before adding "Well, she did say this was going to happen.". "Oh well, at least you managed to stop Vilgax." said Catherine, before kissing his cheek. Ben blushed, before focusing back on the current task at hand. Cleaning up the mess left from the battle. "Now, how do we clean up this mess?" he said.
Some time later...
It took a while. But eventually, everything had been cleared from the battlefield. Everything had been cleaned up, and everyone was able to repair most of the objects there.
"Welp, looks like we're done here."
"Y-Yeah, thanks for your help guys."
"No problem."
"Oh my God! I think I need to rest! That was most intense and brutal fight I've ever had in my life!"
Ben let himself fall on the ground, he was exhausted from the fight. He let himself rest for a moment. Soon, almost everyone else had gone. Everyone except his family and friends, because they live near him and in this dimension.
"Woo! That was amazing dude!"
"Yeah, best fight I've ever seen in my life!"
"I'm glad you won, hubby.~"
"Thanks everyone."
As Ben rested, he looked at the sky. He could feel his now deceased mother watching over him (figuratively of course). She had taken care of him before she died, and before he had to live with his grandfather. Today, Ben thought about all of his successes and laid there for a few more seconds. After that, he and everyone else went to their homes.
