There are many stories of heroes, and there are much, much more stories of superheroes. This story is both of them at once. Without further ado, let's get into it.
Our hero is Ben Tennyson. If you've watched Ben 10, you'll know who I'm talking about. Although in this dimension (which is conveniently called Dimension 10) he's a black-haired and black-eyed 10 year-old boy.
Our story begins before the start of our hero's career. This was many years ago. It was the 10th of October in the year 2010, our hero had just been born. However, both his mother and his maternal grandmother despised him. Why? Because he was a product of a bad relationship. At least according to his mother. You see, Ben's parents "did the deed" before they were at an age where they could get married and be able to take care of a child. Although Ben's father (who was named Bob) wore "protection", I'm sorry to say it didn't work. Ben still ended up being born, and he had to be placed under the care of his paternal grandfather Max Tennyson.
10 Years Later...
It was the 10th of October in the year 2020, the future was just beginning. People including Max celebrated Ben's 10th birthday.
"Happy birthday to you!"
"Make a wish, Ben!"
Ben was just happy that people were there for him. With this, he blew out his birthday cake's candle. After that, everyone cheered. "Alright, let's nosh! I'm starvin'!" added Max, before he, Ben and the others started eating.
Meanwhile...
PEW! PEW! PEW!
BOOM!
"Prepare to board, I want the Omnitrix now!"
"Master, their propulsion systems have been destroyed."
Someone was attacking a spaceship in outer space, it was another spaceship that looked like a black and red giant hairdryer that was open. The other ship was originally circular, white and had blue linings on it, however a huge chunk of it was destroyed due to a huge laser from the other ship.
Something was then launched from the white and blue spaceship. That something ended up plummeting down towards Earth. This prevented whoever was inside the black and red ship from getting it.
PEW! PEW! PEW!
BOOM!
"Master, their engine has been destroyed."
"Excellent, prepare to pull the ship over."
The white and blue ship started plummeting down. But not towards Earth, it was headed into the vastness and emptiness of space. The black and red ship then followed after it.
Back To Ben...
Ben was outside, he was happy that he celebrated another birthday. Just then...
FWOOSH!
"I-Is that a shooting star?! B-But how can that be? It's daytime!"
Seeing a shooting star in the daytime was weird. Suddenly...
FWOOSH!
"AAAHHH!"
SMASH!
"Oomph!"
The shooting star changed direction! It was headed straight for Ben! It smashed into the ground, kicking up rocks and sending him flying into a tree. Ben accidentally hit his back and fell on the ground hard. Once he was able to get up again, he saw that the shooting star had left a huge crater on the ground in front of him. Curious, he walked up towards it.
"Wh-What's that? Looks like some sort of huge toy or something!"
The object that crashed into the ground wasn't a shooting star. However, it was spherical and looked like it could be a fidget toy. Then...
FWWSH!
"Whoa! What's that? A watch? Looks like a toy watch. What was it doing in the sky?"
As Ben asked himself that question, he reached out for it. However...
SNAP!
"AAAHHH!"
It suddenly latched onto his left wrist! "Get off me! Get off! Get off!" he started shouting as he tried to do just that. Unfortunately, he couldn't. "-GRANDPAAA!" Ben yelled loud as he ran back to the house.
Back At The House...
"Where's Ben? He's going to miss the other half of his party."
Max's question was then answered when Ben came rushing in.
SLAM!
"Grandpa! Grandpa!"
"H-Huh?!"
"H-Help! I-I can't get this thing off!"
When Max looked at what was stuck on Ben, his eyes immediately widened. He looked like he saw a ghost. "Don't worry, we'll get that thing off o' ya." he said, before quickly going to his garage to get some of his tools. It was strange that he didn't ask what was stuck on Ben, although judging from his reaction he could've already known.
A Few Minutes Later...
Max tried every single power tool he had to get the watch-like thing off of Ben, but no matter how much he tried he couldn't. "Sorry sport, looks like we're gonna have to find another way to get that thing off of ya." Max continued. "Oh man, this thing's annoying! It's not even a watch! It can't even tell time!" Ben said in frustration, just then...
BEEP! BEEP!
The watch-like device started actually working like a watch. -A digital watch. It's symbol temporarily disappeared to show that it was 10 a.m..
"Welp, there it is." said Ben as he saw what the watch-like device just did, "Interesting..." thought Max as he looked at it more closely. Just then...
PEW! PEW! PEW! PEW! PEW! PEW!
"AAAHHH!"
Huge red lasers were fired towards the house! They came from some black and red drones! They made everyone run away in fear. Just then...
"Emergency User Protocol activated."
FLASH!
The watch-like device's fail-safe activated, it engulfed Ben in a bright blue light before it turned him into a big, burly creature with light blue fur and a long, tufted tail. It had no eyes and had gill-like organs on the sides of its neck. This was a vulpimancer, an alien. Nornally vulpimancers were grayish and white in this dimension, sort of like some species of wolves. However, since the watch-like device used blue-colored energy, it affected the form's appearance as well. Ben would call this form "Wildmutt" in the future, though it wasn't named around this time.
ROOOAAARRR!
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
Ben leapt forward, before slashing and trashing the drones that were trying to attack him, Max and his friends.
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
CR-R-R-RUNCH!
SMASH!
SLASH!
ROOOAAARRR!
Ben managed to take out the rest of the drones. After that...
BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP!
FLASH!
The watch-like device started glowing red, before it reverted him back into his normal form again. Then, Ben said "Whoa, that felt weird.". "You okay, sport?" Max asked worriedly, "I think this might've been the best birthday gift I've been given!" Ben replied.
Meanwhile...
"It would appear that whoever is in possession of my Omnitrix is as clever as he is strong. I will find you... and I will kill you..."
