It had been an even longer time since Ben and Max defeated Animo and the Colossal Fossil, they had been on the superhero gig for a while now. But what they didn't know was that someone else would be joining them soon, but it would be someone unexpected.
Meanwhile...
A certain cousin of Ben was looking inside her drawer. This is Gwen, a 10 year-old girl with short brown hair and eyes of the same color. She had an odd book inside her drawer, it was brown with a yellow cross on it. It looked strange. It was a spell book, and she got it from two certain high-level evil magicians known as "Hex" and "Charmcaster".
A Few Days Ago...
Gwen was with her parents at a local museum, when...
SMASH!
"I am Hex! And if you do not give me what I want, I shall tear this building from the inside out! Now then, where is the spell book?!"
"B-But the book isn't real sir! I-It's just a replica!"
"RAAAHHH!"
BOOM!
At what one of the staff members of the museum said, the person named "Hex" became very angry and unleashed a huge burst of magic that created an explosion. "You think you can make a fool out of me?! I am Hex! One of the greatest magicians in the universe! And I will not be made a fool out of some random scrub like you!" Hex yelled angrily. Then, Gwen mustered up enough courage to blurt out "Hey ugly! You want this?" while holding up the very thing that Hex wanted. "The spell book! Hand it over!" Hex demanded angrily.
"Sure, but lemme hear ya say please first!" joked Gwen, before started flipping through it. Then, the pages were magically translated into English. Gwen was relieved when she saw this, as this meant she now actually had a chance to use the spell book properly.
"Soralis Eratanichia!"
FLASH! KZZT! KZZT-KZZT!
"AAAHHH!"
A huge flash of lightning struck Hex, forcing him to reel in pain. Then, his niece Charmcaster threw small pebbles with purple linings on them towards Gwen. When the pebbles landed, they turned into different kinds of rock creatures.
ROOOAAARRR!
SCREEECCCHHH!
There were dog, bat and human-like creatures! Gwen had to fight them all off, now she had a chance with the spell book. "Gwen! What're you doing?! Get out of there!" yelled Gwen's mother (who was named Natalie), but Gwen had another idea in mind.
"Sonoris Bumbargos!"
FWOOSH!
SPLASH!
SMASH!
SMASH!
SMASH!
Gwen had used a water spell, destroying Charmcaster's minions. "Seriously? All that power and you only use like 1/10th of it? Please. Of course you wouldn't know what real magic is. Even if you did, you wouldn't know how to use it." taunted Charmcaster, "I tried to settle this the easy way." replied Gwen before she shouted "Shadallah!".
FWOOSH!
SMASH!
"Oomph!"
Gwen had used "Shadallah", a shadow spell. She sent Charmcaster flying into a wall, breaking a part of it. Just then...
PLOP!
Charmcaster's little bag fell on the ground and rolled right next to Gwen, after that Gwen quickly took it and threw some of Charmcaster's pebbles towards both Charmcaster herself and Hex.
ROOOAAARRR!
SCREEECCCHHH!
The rock creatures then proceeded to beat up both Hex and Charmcaster, with them being weakened a bit they were beaten up pretty badly. Then...
"RAAAHHH!"
BOOM!
Hex rose up and unleashed another explosive burst of magic, this destroyed the creatures that Gwen used against him and Charmcaster. Then, he said "I don't know how, but you're able to use the more advanced spells in the book! Still, we can take it from you!".
"Not if I have anything to say about it! And if the both of you know what's best for you, I suggest you two leave. Now." threatened Gwen. She wasn't joking, she was considering using an even more advanced spell than Shadallah just to stop both Hex and Charmcaster. Then, Hex said "'Till we meet again!" before he and Charmcaster disappeared.
FLASH!
With Hex and Charmcaster gone, the museum was safe again. But then, something just as strange happened.
FLASH!
The back of the spell book's front cover filled its blank with Gwen's full name (which is Gwendolyn Cathryn Tennyson). Now the back of the book's front cover read "Property Of: Gwendolyn Cathryn Tennyson". This book was hers now. This was a surprise, but a welcome one.
Present Day...
WOOO! WOOO! WOOO!
Ben and Max were chasing after a criminal duo named the "Orange Offenders", this time they had Gwen with them. Ever since she got the spell book, she'd been practicing with it. And soon, she was stopping and busting villains alongside her cousin and grandfather. Now, they were nearing the Orange Offenders.
"Ben, Gwen, you two know what to do."
"It's hero time!"
FLASH!
Ben turned into an alien he called "XLR8", before rushing out of the Rustbucket (which was the mobile home Max drove around in) and flipping the Orange Offenders' car.
FWOOSH!
BAM!
CRASH!
"Agh!"
"Oomph!"
The Orange Offenders ended up getting thrown out of their vehicle which was now broken and upside down on a field. Then, Gwen helped by yelling "Ablita Plazita!".
FWOOOSSSHHH!
Ice had formed around the Orange Offenders, freezing them in a solid block of it. Then...
BEEP! BEEP!
CHAKK-CHAKK!
PEW! PEW! PEW!
BOOM!
Max activated the Rustbucket's onboard laser blasters and fired them at the Orange Offenders sending them flying into the field. Just then...
CHAKK!
FWOOSH! FWOOSH-FWOOSH-FWOOSH-FWOOSH-FWOOSH-FWOOSH-FWOOSH-FWOOSH!
Max activated the Rustbucket's front tow cable. Ben then rushed past before grabbing it and using it to tie the Orange Offenders up.
"Dammit!" one of the Orange Offenders said after he and his brother were tied up. Then...
WOOO! WOOO! WOOO! WOOO!
The cops were arriving fast, they were part of the chase involving the Orange Offenders. However, they didn't very much appreciate vigilante justice either. With this, the Tennysons quickly left the scene.
SCREEECCCHHH!
VROOOMMM!
SCREEECCCHHH!
WOOO! WOOO! WOOO! WOOO!
Soon, the cops came and surrounded the Orange Offenders. They then got out of their cars, one of them then said "Put your hands up in the air and don't move!" while aiming his pistol at them. Tired, beaten and weakened, the Orange Offenders had no choice but to put their hands up in the air and surrender. After they gave up, the police took them inside one of their cars. Then, they drove off.
VROOOMMM!
A Few Minutes Later...
Soon, the Tennysons were out of sight. They got away from the police this time. They didn't know how long they would have to keep doing this. But one thing's for sure. They won't stop doing it until crime is solved. -But at the rate they're going, they'll never reach that point. Besides, it's realistically impossible to take out every crime everywhere. But the Tennysons were going to do the best they could. And they won't stop until they've reached their goal.
