Ben had gotten the hang of using the Omnitrix, and with some help from his grandfather and cousin he became better and stronger. However, the cops didn't like Ben because they believed that he was a reckless kid who knew no better. They also believed that both Ben and Gwen were being exploited for child labor by Max and that they were being used as "child soldiers". This couldn't be farther from the truth. Ben and Gwen became superheroes out of their own free will, and if they wanted to quit Max would let them. However, they weren't going to do that anytime soon because they felt like they had a huge responsibility to the world now that they had equipment they could use to become superheroes.
Not too long ago, both Ben and Gwen were introduced to what was known as the "Superhero Scene". It was a bunch of superheroes all around the town of Bellwood who protected the innocent and fought off the bad guys. Soon, Ben and Gwen became involved with these people. And not long afterwards, they became official members along with Max. Now, the Tennysons were roaming around Bellwood most of the time to see who was doing crime. And right now...
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
"AAAHHH!"
"Everyone put your hands up! This is a robbery! Put all the money in the bag, and no one gets hurt!"
"-HEY!"
"Huh?"
"Hmm?"
There were two people in black clothes and masks robbing a bank, their names were AJ and Mack. But they couldn't be recognized because of their masks. After Max stopped the Rustbucket near the bank, Ben managed to catch their attention by shouting. Then...
FLASH!
Blue plant material surrounded Ben, before it engulfed him. Then, his eyes fused into one before two huge spiny flaps appeared on his back. His legs grew into five plant-like appendages. Then, the Omnitrix appeared on his body.
"Wildvine!"
That's what this form's name was. Ben quickly extended his arms, giving him a more forceful punch towards the robbers sending them to the ground. Then, he tied them up using his arms once again before ripping them off. New arms grew in place of the old ones, this was one of Wildvine's abilities.
"U-Urgh!" the robbers groaned as they tried to break free, but Ben tied them so tight that they couldn't. "Oh yeah! Two down!" said Ben, this was another easy victory for Team Tennyson.
A Few Seconds Later...
The Tennysons had left the scene, they didn't want the cops to see them. Speaking of which, they had just arrived at the scene. When they did, they saw AJ and Mack tied up on two of Ben's vine arms. Then, they put handcuffs on them and took them into a police car. "They're gonna love you in the big house babies." one of them said, before closing the police car's door. After that, the cops drove off.
WOOO! WOOO! WOOO!
SCREEECCCHHH!
VROOOMMM!
Meanwhile...
A certain villain was planning on taking control of the entire town of Bellwood, his name was Jackson. But he was known by his supervillain alias "Black Jack". Black Jack made it his goal to commit every crime in the book, and he had committed many of those crimes. In fact, some of those crimes might be a little too much for this story.
After Black Jack put on his supervillain outfit (which were black clothes and a black cape), he flew outside using his rocket boots.
FWOOOSSSHHH!
Turning Towards The Tennysons...
Meanwhile, the Tennysons were enjoying a little road trip. Suddenly...
BOOM!
"AAAHHH!"
A huge black blast was thrown across the road, kicking huge chunks of it up. People started running for their lives. "HAHAHA!" a certain villain laughed, as he threw more black blasts. -It was Black Jack! When the Tennysons saw him, Max drifted to a stop before they came out. "Black Jack!" said Gwen, "It's hero time!" Ben replied back before he slammed on the Omnitrix.
FLASH!
Black slime-like substance covered Ben's body, before he developed blue linings all across him. One of the linings formed a sort of "eye". Then, the Omnitrix appeared on his chest.
"How about an "Upgrade"?"
Ben had turned into a form he called "Upgrade". Then, he started firing blue eye lasers towards Black Jack.
PEW! PEW! PEW!
FWOOSH!
Black Jack was able to easily dodge the lasers. Then, he threw three huge energy blasts towards Ben. Ben liquified himself and got out of the way. However, one of the blasts managed to make him splat into a wall.
BOOM!
SPLAT!
"Oomph!"
After Ben splatted into a wall, he managed to reform and solidify himself again. Then, Gwen shouted "Ablita Plazita!".
FWOOSH!
"Urgh!"
The spell barely missed Black Jack, ice froze his hand. However, he was able to break free from it easily. This was the first actually tough villain that the Tennysons had faced in a while.
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
"Agh!"
THUMP!
Black Jack threw some more blasts, sending Gwen flying next. Gwen landed face first on the road, Max tried to help by firing his blasters and throwing plumber grenades. However, these were ineffective. One of the grenades managed to hit Black Jack, but it didn't affect him that badly.
BOOM!
"Agh... Why you little-!"
FLASH!
Black Jack formed a huge ball of black energy. He was about to throw it towards Max, when...
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
"Step away from them!"
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
"Urgh!"
Police came and started firing at him, the bullets didn't do anything to him. However, he was now distracted. One of Tennysons now had a chance at attacking him. Ben charged up on energy, before blasting a huge eye laser.
FLASH!
BOOM!
"Agh!"
THUMP!
He fired it at Black Jack, who crashed on the ground hard. Ben tried pinning and choking Black Jack. However, Black Jack was too strong and sent a huge wave of energy towards him sending him flying once more.
"RAAAHHH!"
BOOM!
"WOOOAAAHHH!"
SPLAT!
"Oomph!"
Ben ended up splatting on the ground again, there was just no way to beat Black Jack efficiently. He needed to approach this differently. Just then...
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
"This is the police! Give up! Give up now! Get down here and put your hands up!"
As if that was actually going to do anything. Black Jack responded by simply throwing another huge black energy ball. This sent the cops and their cars flying.
"RAAAHHH!"
BOOM!
"WAAAHHH!"
"Oomph!"
CRASH!
The cops and their cars ended up laying on the road. The cop cars were destroyed, and the cops themselves were weakened a bit. Black Jack was way out of their league. Just then...
"HEEYAAH!"
SPLAT!
"Agh!"
THUMP!
Ben managed to tackle Black Jack, he struggled against him. He tried to keep him pinned down for as long as he could, but he couldn't do it for long. Just then, Gwen made another move.
"Soralis Eratanichia!"
FLASH! KZZT! KZZT-KZZZT!
"AAAHHH!"
FLASH! KZZT! KZZT-KZZZTTT!
Gwen used her electricity spell to temporarily stun Black Jack. In the process, she managed to disable some of his equipment as well. They required electricity to run. "NOOO!" yelled Black Jack, before he came crashing down hard. With his equipment disabled, he couldn't fly anymore. But he could still fight, and he was still a problem. Just then, Black Jack took out a big-barreled revolver. He then started firing it towards the Tennysons.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
"HAHAHAHA!"
Ben and Gwen were forced to take cover. Max tried holding Black Jack off by using his blasters, but they weren't enough. Just then...
PLOP! PLOP!
FWOOOSSSHHH!
COUGH! COUGH! COUGH!
Max dropped some plumber smoke bombs. They produced a lot of smoke, making it difficult for Black Jack to see. When the smoke cleared, Max, Ben and Gwen were gone. "Wh-What?! Wh-Where'd they go?!" Black Jack said in confusion. Just then...
FLASH!
"Have a sneak peek at the ghost with the most freak!"
FWOOSH!
"AAAHHH!"
Ben had turned into Ghostfreak while the smoke was still there. Then, he suddenly showed himself up to Black Jack before opening up his body. This revealed Ghostfreak's frightening interior and tentacles. Black Jack screamed in surprise, before Ben tried to apprehend him with his tentacles. "B-Back off you freak!" Black Jack shouted, before he tried artacking Ben with energy. However, since Ben was Ghostfreak right now he could go intangible. And that's exactly what he did.
FWOOSH!
"H-Huh?!"
Black Jack was confused and a little bit scared, Ben could be dangerous as Ghostfreak. Just then...
"HEEYAAH!"
BAM!
"Oomph!"
Gwen suddenly leapt through the air and dropkicked Black Jack in the face! This made him hit the ground again.
CHAKK-CHAKK!
CHAKK-CHAKK!
While Black Jack was on the ground, Max inserted two power net shells on each blaster he had. Then, he fired all four of them towards him.
CHAKK-CHAKK!
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
KZZT! KZZT-KZZZTTT!
"AAAHHH!"
Black Jack was caught by the nets that popped out after the power net shells were fired. They electrocuted and weakened him. Just then, one of the cops fired towards his head. However, this didn't do anything to him. The bullet bounced off. I guess Black Jack really isn't a normal human. But the cop had something else in mind. He rushed up to Black Jack, before quickly putting handcuffs on him. "You're under arrest!" the cop said, before trying to take him with him. However...
FLASH!
"RAAAHHH!"
FLASH! FLASH-FLASH-FLASH!
"AAAHHH!"
THUMP!
"Oomph! Ungh..."
Black Jack tried to take out the cop by forming energy and trying to throw it at him. However, Ben as Ghostfreak phased his hands through his head and made him unconscious. This was one of Ghostfreak's abilities. With this, Black Jack fell on the ground once more and groaned in pain and dizziness. Just then...
BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP!
FLASH!
The Omnitrix started flickering red, before timing out and reverting Ben back to his normal form. "Uhhh... hi." Ben said awkwardly while waving. "Wh-What?! I-It was you all this time?!" the cop asked in surprise, "Uhhh... yeah. Surpriiise... Hahaha..." Ben replied even more awkwardly.
"Wh-Wh-What- -NO, NO, NO! You need to be sent back to your parents kid! Where's your parents?!"
"Long story. The short story is... is that they're not around in my life anymore."
"Wh-What?! Y-You shouldn't be with that old man! Aren't you aware that you're being exploited for child labor and forced to be a child soldier?!"
At this, Ben finally answered the question that was on the cop's mind.
"Alright officer, let's face it. You and the police force can't handle this, you guys barely even put a scratch on Black Jack. If you guys can't even put so much as a dent on Black Jack's health, how much harder will it be for you guys when you guys go up against tougher villains? Face it, you guys need us. The town needs us. The people need us. The world needs us. So stop trying to bust us all, we did nothing wrong. We just helped you guys do what ya'll can't."
At this, the cop considered. Then, he turned to Ben. But then, Ben added "And it's not child labor or exploitation. Me and my cousin became superheroes out of our own free will. Just like the rest of the superheroes on the Superhero Scene. And if you think you guys can manage without us, then just wait 'till a real villain comes along.".
The cop then considered some more, before finally giving in. But then, he added "Just make sure to make this stick. Otherwise, you can consider you and your cousin's superhero careers over.". "Don't worry, we will." Ben replied reassuringly. Then, he saw the cop's ID. His name was Jonathan, but he was better known as "Cross". And apparently, his police car was the black and white Corvette C6 which was now upside-down in the middle of the road.
A Few Minutes Later...
Soon, Cross and the other cops left. This let the Tennysons go the other way inside the Rustbucket. "Man, that was a close one." said Gwen, Ben only nodded in agreement. I wonder what will happen to the Tennysons next? I guess we'll find out in the next chapter of Ben 10 Alternate Dimens10n.
