It had been some time since Ben first started being a superhero, he had fought and defeated lots of villains in his career. Currently, he was 16 years old. However, he hadn't found someone he could truly love yet. Every girl he'd been ended up breaking up with him, some of his girlfriends like Julie and Elizabeth broke up with him under specific circumstances. Julie because being a superhero could put others in danger constantly, and Elizabeth because she liked sleeping around with lots of men. At some point, Ben had given up hope in finding true love and instead focused more on himself.
"C'mon man, you gotta find a girlfriend soon."
"Ethan, I can't force myself to find people I can truly connect with. It's a natural process, I don't think online dating is gonna help me that much either."
"You will die alone! Do you want that?"
"Look, I can't force it okay? It all has to happen naturally."
Ben was talking to one of his best friends. His name was Ethan, and he was a firearm enthusiast. He had practically every kind of firearm in his home, and yes he has the license to keep them. He was a superhero who went by the name of "Bull's-Eye", his favorite firearms were two red heavily-modified M4A1 rifles that could shoot lasers.
"Well Ethan, I gotta bounce. I got other stuff to do."
"Seeya dude."
After Ben said that, he got up and got out of Ethan's backyard. But while he was doing so...
BOOM!
"Huh?"
A loud explosion occured in the distance. After Ben heard and saw it, he quickly transformed.
FLASH!
Black skin formed all around Ben, before he grew a long tail that had blue and black stripes. His head became pointy and he grew long claws. The Omnitrix then appeared on his chest.
"XLR8!"
FWOOSH!
Ben turned into an alien he called "XLR8", it was his fastest alien. He dashed towards where the explosion happened. When he got there, he saw a face that was familiar to him.
"Wait, Captain Nemesis?"
Captain Nemesis was one of Ben's greatest enemies. This was because he tried framing him as a threat to society along with a nasty reporter named "Will Harangue". On top of that, Captain Nemesis creates his own disasters and pretends to be the one to stop them. This infuriated Ben to no end as he was putting people in real danger. But the public were none the wiser and believed Ben to be a real threat. On the contrary, he was just using the Omnitrix to help people.
Ben started helping the people who were trapped in a burning building. After he managed to get them all to safety, he switched to another alien.
FLASH!
"Heatblast!"
Ben turned into his fiery alien called "Heatblast", before using his abilities to absorb the fire and prevent the building from burning any further. The people cheered when they saw what Ben was doing. After that, Ben landed down using fire before switching back to his human form.
FLASH!
"Oh my God! Someone is interfering with the work of a real hero!"
"Real hero? I know he set off whatever explosives he put in that building!"
"Oh my God! And slander too! Will the atrocious acts of this one-man menace that is Ben Tennyson stop?!"
"Me?! Captain Nemesis is the one creating his own disasters!"
Ben and Will ended up arguing for a while. Then, Captain Nemesis said "Well, it's been a long day. I gotta bounce. Seeya." before flying away using his rocket boots. "Hey! Come back here!" yelled Ben, before he started chasing after him. Unfortunately, Captain Nemesis' high-tech suit allowed him to be able to easily get away. "Dammit!" thought Ben.
A Few Minutes Later...
Ben had just gotten away from the scene where the explosion happened, he hated both Captain Nemesis and Will Harangue for framing him as a threat to society. It was actually the opposite, Captain Nemesis creates his own disasters. Ben used to like Captain Nemesis, but after he found out that he created his own disasters he didn't like him anymore after that point. Just then...
"Oh, hi."
Someone spoke near him. When he looked up, he saw that it was a beautiful blonde-haired girl with blue eyes. These types of girls were considered attractive, and Ben loved them. But he just said "Oh, h-hi. C-Can I help you?". "I just noticed you were here, you're the famous Ben Tennyson right?" the girl added, "Yeah, and who might you be?" Ben asked back smiling. "I'm Catherine, big fan." the girl introduced herself, "It's always nice to meet a fan." Ben replied back. The two then ended up chatting for a while. After that, they exchanged numbers. Although, Ben had doubts about this. Being a superhero and having a love life was hard. Should he just never contact the girl again? Or should he be honest with her and tell her the truth and what she would be in for? Ben thought about this for a while.
A Few Hours Later...
Ben was walking down the street minding his own business, when all of a sudden...
BOOM!
Another explosion occured somewhere else! Ben turned into XLR8 again before checking it out. When he did, he saw that who he thought was behind this was indeed there.
"You again?!"
"Tennyson?! Are you following me?!"
"No, your loud explosion caught my attention."
"Well, it dosen't matter. No one believes you, and I'm the better hero!"
"You're no hero, you're a fraud!"
After Ben said that, he rescued the people who were in another burning building. Then, he got them to safety. When he did, he went back to where Captain Nemesis was. "I'm sick of you always interfering with my plans!" Captain Nemesis shouted, before he tried firing an orange laser at Ben.
BOOM!
Luckily, Ben was able to turn into Upgrade and liquified himself to avoid the laser. Then, he jumped at Captain Nemesis before covering his suit in himself and downgrading it.
FLASH! FLASH! FLASH! FLASH!
"AAAHHH!"
Captain Nemesis' suit started malfunctioning, then its power went down before Ben got off of it. When Ben got off, it shattered and broke apart. The pieces fell on the ground, "NO!" shouted Captain Nemesis as he looked at the broken pieces of his suit. Then...
FLASH!
"Agh!"
THUMP!
Ben fired a blue eye laser at him, making him fall down. Captain Nemesis was defeated once again, and Ben reverted himself back into his human form.
FLASH!
"You're a fraud Captain Nemesis, no one should trust you."
"Ungh..."
Captain Nemesis groaned as he laid there on the ground, Ben tied him up using Wildvine's arm and ripping it off before growing a new one. Then, he left.
WOOO! WOOO! WOOO! WOOO!
Soon, police arrived. They saw Captain Nemesis laying on the ground, but they had the wrong idea. They thought that some criminal managed to take him out. In no time, they sent a search party for the supposed person.
Meanwhile, Ben was minding his own business again. Then, a familiar person walked up to him. "Hey again!" the person said. When Ben looked to see who said those words, he saw Catherine. "Oh, hey." Ben replied back while smiling, then Catherine asked "So, how's everything going? Heard about your battle a while ago.". "Yeah, I just stopped a fake hero." Ben replied. Then, Catherine added "You know what Ben, I like you. You always go out of your way to help others, I like that.". "Oh, well... thanks." Ben replied back embarrassingly. Ben and Catherine then started chatting with each other again. Then, Catherine revealed something to Ben.
"Ben, I have something to show you."
"Okay, what is it?"
After Ben asked that, a bright light formed all around Catherine. Two huge white wings grew on her back, before a bright halo formed around her head. "C-Catherine... Y-You're-" Ben started saying in shock, but before he could finish what he was saying Catherine interrupted with "Yes. I am.".
Ben was confused. This whole time he was talking to an angel?! "Wh-Why?" asked Ben, "Because the one above felt sorry for you. He created me to love you." Catherine replied. "I-I can't accept that! I don't want to defile your honor!" Ben added, but then Catherine went on and said "Trust me, and trust in the one above.". Then, Catherine hugged Ben who returned it back. Together, they had a great time. Then, they walked off into the sunset holding hands.
