I'll also admit that this is my first time writing a team of villains, and even though it's only three, I do want them to work off of each other well. Powered Up Pooches arc Episode six: Demons In Adventure City

Slash was looking over the monitors at his base for Adventure City, and he looked quite excited while doing so. As he observed every monitor to make sure the attack would go as planned, he expressed this excitement to himself with immense glee. In particular, he observed Rubble rolling into a rock with his new powers. That became the main motivation for this attack after Slash, Victoria, and Humdinger joined forces. They knew the team's powers would be perfect for future invasion attempts. "Even if it's just one more crystal, it will help us make incredible progress."

Victoria called Slash on the demon room monitor with Humdinger to let him know they were ready. "Ah, Victoria, Humdinger. Perfect timing. I hope you have everything ready. You know how I despise being forced to postpone."

"You'd be a fool to think we didn't! I triple checked everything this morning." Victoria informed Slash, and that was when one of demons in the cage lunged at her. She gave a crazy smile before looking at the demon, and then she looked at Humdinger. Humdinger nodded his head no fearfully with Victoria nodding her head yes in response. She opened up the cage and let the demon lunge at her, dodging just in time before closing the cage door. The demon attempted to slash at Victoria, who used a device she held in her hand to parry it.

Victoria parried the demon slash successfully before tackling the demon to the ground, holding him down while teasing him. "That was a good try though! Too bad it just wasn't fast enough." She then started leaning in by just an inch as the demon tried to bite at her while continuing to tease him. Slash couldn't help grinning as he saw her doing this. "You wanna eat me? Oh, I know you wanna eat me. But ya can't eat me. Because I'm not gonna let ya eat me!"

As much as Slash was enjoying himself, he knew he couldn't let Victoria go too far with that demon. "You can play with the demons later Victoria. We need them in peak condition for this attack."

Victoria gave a crazy laugh before responding to Slash's words. "Fine with me. It'll give me time to think about how I can use their claws for my inventions!" Victoria then looked back at the door, giving Humdinger a command to help her put the demon back in. "Humdinger! Open the door for me!"

"If that demon gets near me, it's on you!"

"I don't care; just open it!"

Slash continued to watch the two have their fun, laughing to himself as he thought about how this was going to be. He wasn't even looking at the finished products of their weapons and inventions, and he was already confident in their chances due to what he saw in Victoria. Rocky's smarts, and Charm's savagery before he started managing it. "The perfect combination of my children."

A few minutes before the attack, Wave and Liberty were driving around Adventure City in Wave's truck, making sure they got Liberty's afternoon patrol as thoroughly as Liberty wanted. Wave was also talking about about Farmer Yumi's place with Liberty, confident she'd love to visit it. "And it's not just Farmer Yumi's you can look forward to. I know you'd love Adventure Bay itself. It's full of awesome people who are as animal friendly as the people you know here! You'll fit in great."

Liberty was loving the idea from what Wave telling her. She loved it especially for the mention of Farmer Yumi's. "It all sounds amazing! Especially the farm. I can't wait to see the chickens, and the cows, and the pigs, and the horses, and the sheep, and the Ewes, that's what female sheep are called, and the everything!" Wave smiled as she saw how much Liberty was loving the idea. "And I promise I'll do my best not to scare the horses. I know horses are easily startled, and that's also why I won't get mad if one of them surprise kicks me in the face."

Wave snorted at the beginning of her assurance regarding that last one. "I doubt that'll happen Libby." Wave then noticed Liberty looking for something, but becoming frantic when she couldn't find it. She looked down and realized she was sitting next to her music player. She handed it to Liberty while keeping her eyes on the road during a turn. "Tune time?"

"Tune time." Liberty confirmed, and she accepted the music player back while thanking Wave. "Thanks Wave!" However, just before she put in her earbuds, Liberty looked up and saw something on a rooftop from a few houses away. It looked unfamiliar to her, so she brought it to Wave's attention. "Hey Wave. Do you know what that is?"

"What what i-" Wave began to ask as she turned her head, only to recognize it as a demon. She was stunned on sight and warned Liberty before making her first move. "Hang on tight!" Liberty did as warned before Wave skidded to a stop right beside the demon, knowing it was going to jump at them. She instantly got ready and charged up her paw before jumping off of her truck door. The demon prepared a slash, but Wave punched the demon just in time. This sent the demon in between two buildings, which were right behind the demon before the punch.

Wave landed safely before running back over to her truck to check on Liberty, who was starting to get scared. "Are you okay Libby?" Liberty nodded her head yes, and Wave then saw that more demons were starting to come up around Adventure City.

This horrified Liberty, who was starting to panic as she looked at Wave in fear and concern. "What do we do Wave!? I've never fought demons before!"

"Just stick with me and follow my lead." Wave advised, taking out her firefighter microphone and prompting Liberty to cover her ears before speaking up. She yelled into the microphone as she did. "EVERYONE HIDE NOW! IT'S A DEMON ATTACK! DON'T LET THEM GET YOU!" All of the humans obeyed with Wave driving off at max speed as soon as they started chasing her. As soon as Wave got started on making sure everyone was getting to safety, she called Ryder. "Ryder! Slash sent demons to attack Adventure City! We need everyone on duty now!"

In no time flat, the rest of the Paw Patrol were on the defense, as shown when one demon was attacking a cornered family, only for Chase to speed kick it back just in time. Chase then set up a barrier around the family by taking out a small device Rocky made, covering them with the barrier for their safety. "Don't worry. I'll deactivate it as fast as I can after the city's safe." Chase saw the demon charge at him and he let it do so before he dashed behind it and kicked it to the side, showing just how fast he was now. "And I know way more about fast now."

Skye was fighting off against a flying demon herself in the air, using her agility to dodge mid-air and plan her attacks accordingly. After spinning out of the way of its latest slash, she tapped its head with her paw to jump off before diving down. She landed a diving kick combo of five strikes before kicking the demon towards the ground. This allowed the demon to slam into the demon Chase was fighting after he kicked it into the same path. When the demons collided, Skye descended to Chase.

Chase and Skye stood by each other's side to help fend off against the demons, even though there weren't a lot of them. Chase even used his new birthday sword to finish them. However, more demons came along carrying a throne, which Humdinger was shown to be riding as he called to Chase and Skye. "We meet again Paw Patrol! Desperate to foil my plans again I see!"

The demons set down Humdinger's throne with Chase having his own words about what Humdinger just said. "Looks more like it's Slash's plan that you're using to boost your own ego."

Skye quickly noticed how the demons weren't even bothering to scratch Humdinger. "I guess working with Slash gives you a pass on infection now."

"And thank goodness for that. My plans for this city just can't be postponed." Humdinger declared, standing on his throne as he commanded the six demons he was with. "My first of these plans... is to destroy the Paw Patrol! Demons! Get on that right now!" The demons charged at Chase and Skye, who nodded to each other before dashing at the demons themselves with all their power.

Wave and Liberty were still traversing the city, moving as fast as they could in Wave's truck for any survivors who might be in danger. While looking around, they saw Marshall and Zuma fending off against the demons themselves near the observatory. Wave nodded to Liberty, who braved herself as Wave drove as fast as she could, ramming right into a demon Zuma made slip with his powers. Wave rammed right into the demon, making it slam against the wall. Wave and Liberty jumped out with Marshall and Zuma being glad to see them. "Wave! Liberty!"

Marshall sent the last demon he was facing back with a flaming palm push, rushing over to Wave with immense relief and joy. He gave her a big hug, which she reciprocated instantly. "I'm so glad you're safe!" Marshall pulled Wave away while talking about how dangerous things were getting. "At least the meteor thing was quick. Zuma and I have been out here for half an hour now, and I think I might've relapsed if I didn't find you soon."

Liberty looked at Wave in confusion, and she gave her the context she needed upon noticing. "Marshall was prone to panic attacks and fear caused moves a long time ago."

"Ohhhh." Liberty then started expressing her urge to help out, not wanting to leave this all to the others. "Listen guys. I know I don't have my power yet-"

"Which is why we can't risk letting you turn by fighting the demons." Wave informed Liberty, expressing how much it would hurt her if she got turned into a demon, just like everyone else. "These demons don't just fight hard Libby. If you get scratched by one, you could turn into one of them, unless we kill that demon. And without your power, we shouldn't risk it."

Liberty tried to think of a protest, and Zuma walked over to her with some words of encouragement. "Sowwy Libewty, but Wave's wight. You do not want to tuwn into a demon." Marshall and Zuma gained more fearful expressions as they recalled the moments they turned into demons. "It's not just seeing it happen that's ugly."

Liberty didn't want to disobey her friends, but she couldn't bring herself to just sit around and do nothing. "Then add that to the list of reasons I should help! I don't want anyone to live through that." Wave was about to protest before Liberty suggested something else. "What if my power is connected to the demons? Maybe there's a crystal shard related to demon blood, and I-"

"Don't count on it street rat." That voice sent chills down Liberty's spine, and when she looked with Wave, Marshall, and Zuma, it was revealed to be none other than Victoria Vance. She walked towards them menacingly with dozens of demons with her in that moment, and she had the same psychotic smile on her that she did the first time Liberty met her. And she made it very clear what she wanted with her vague words, but noticeable tone of voice. "Not that you'll have time to test it out."

Snow was searching around Adventure City park with Everest, but weirdly enough, they weren't finding any demons, or citizens. Snow started to panic as she thought about the worst case scenario. "Oh crap. What if we were too late? Slash could've infected them already." Everest noticed this and stepped over to her sister as she started to get more stressed. "What if they got the others? Wave! I have to-"

"Hey hey hey, look at me Snow." Snow looked at Everest, who spoke calmly to her to help her calm down. "We don't know what happened yet. Let's take a breath, and start looking around." Everest's sisterly vibe helped Snow start to calm down, which she did after a few seconds. At least to where she could compose herself.

Snow thanked Everest before the two heard Rocky's voice from nearby. "Snow! Everest!" Snow and Everest saw Rocky running over to them along with Charm, Rubble, and Claw. "You two doing okay?"

Snow, having composed herself well enough to speak calmly, confirmed this when she answered. "We're fine. What about the rest of you? Are any of you hurt?"

"No, and thank goodness for that." Rubble answered, expressing how hard it was to hold off these demons. "And I thought LOOKING at the demons was tough. Trying to fight them is a whole other story."

Charm couldn't help thinking about his demon blood when he looked at his knife. He'd come to terms with it, but it still hurt him to think of who he used to be. And the demons returning made those thoughts come back. Still, he showed how far he'd come since then by holding his knife firmly and showing he was ready to keep fighting. "I know what you mean Rubble. But if there's one thing I know you won't do, it's back down." Rubble nodded confidently with Charm smiling as he did. "If fighting demons is what it takes to protect this city, then so be it."

"Just let me know whenever you need a helping shield." Claw advised, leaving the others to stand up as well to continue the fight. Just then, another figure dove down to face Snow and the others, and when they looked, it was none other than Slash himself emerging from the dust. He looked as sadistic as ever, and he stared down the group of six as he got ready to fight them all at once. The six Canines kept their guard up, ready for whatever Slash had in store for them.

Victoria continued to stand before Wave, Marshall, Liberty, and Zuma, keeping all of her demons back as the four noticed something glowing on her chest. As soon as they noticed, Wave brought it to the attention of the other three to keep them updated. "Guys! You thinking what I'm thinking?"

"That one of the crystal shards flew to Victoria?" Liberty asked, and Wave nodded her head yes to confirm this. "Then yeah, that's what I'm thinking!"

Victoria started charging up some electricity in her hands as she explained when she got her crystal. "Just a shame this waited until I got to Slash's new base to come to me. I could've used it to break out of that prison and cook every guard who worked in it!"

Marshall started powering up his paws with some blazing fire, getting ready to scorch Victoria then and there. "If it's cooking you want, then I'm happy to turn up the heat!" Marshall launched his fire at Victoria, who used her lightning powers to slash through it, causing it to spread and hit some of the demons behind her instead. Wave used this as a chance to punch her back, and Zuma then shot water at her after she blocked Wave's strike. However, Victoria dodged the water just in time before zapping the four Canines with a super fast lightning zap.

Ryder was fighting off demons on the rooftops, taking out three of them by himself before he saw what transpired. Wave, Marshall, and Zuma got pushed back and shocked by the lightning. But Liberty found herself unaffected. That intrigued him, and it stunned Liberty, who saw the electricity being conducted by her body. "Huh?"

This enraged Victoria, who stomped her foot and let out an electric shock that even zapped some of her demons. "Oh you've gotta be kidding me! Even NOW you're lucking out in life!?"

"I'm as surprised as you!" Liberty shot back, adding fuel to the fire with her next set of words. "At least YOU know what your power is! You seem to be lucking out more than me in that department!"

"Then let me beat you with skill in THIS department!" Victoria demanded as she used her powers to wrangle up Wave, Marshall, and Zuma, throwing them up to the roof just as their initial shock ended. Ryder rushed over to check on them, knowing that Victoria would shock him too if he got down to save Liberty. As for Liberty, Victoria had some of the demons surround her as soon as she tried to run for Wave's truck. "Stop her; now!"

Liberty jumped into the fire trick just in time, driving off with it at max speed and driving into a demon to do so. She then rammed right into a fire hydrant that was close by, knocking it aside and letting the water burst out of the ground. Liberty hated hurting her city, but she had to execute her plan. "Zuma! Use this water, now!" Knowing what Liberty was thinking, Zuma ran over to the exact spot in front of the water, using his powers to duck under Victoria's bolts to do so.

Zuma rose up and shot the water at Victoria, who dodged and zapped at him again before he went underground again. Liberty activated Wave's truck hose and grabbed it after taking it out, firing it at Victoria to keep her on her toes. She ended up getting doused in the water, and called to her demons once she did. "Demons! Keep them busy!" The demons jumped up to Zuma, who shot them back with his powers with Marshall burning the ones who went for him, Wave, and Ryder. Wave and Ryder also took out the ones who made it onto the roof.

Victoria managed to grab Liberty after jumping onto the truck, stomping on Wave's horn and making her start to freak out once she did. This made her unable to think as she covered her ears and started to become overstimulated. After a few seconds, she started screaming, proving that she'd become overwhelmed by what was happening with the loud sounds, and Victoria holding her roughly. Victoria stopped honking the horn before expressing her joy in what she was about to do. "You'll be yelling out of something else soon enough street rat."

Meanwhile, at the park, Snow and the others were facing off against Slash with Snow creating a dagger to match her own after wielding it. Rocky got his magnetic powers ready for when he saw something to use them on, and Everest started getting her ice powers ready. Charm prepared his blade, Claw got his shields ready, and Rubble was ready to charge in. Slash gave a sadistic grin as he commented on the unity. "Well would you look at that. Last time we met, most of you couldn't stand Charm."

"Three and a half years of living someone will do things." Claw added, fist bumping Charm with a smile as they got ready to fight together.

Snow made it very clear that they weren't about to let Slash win. "You're not taking this city Slash. We can promise you that."

Slash chuckled devilishly before stating what he really wanted. "Oh no, you're mistaken Snow. I'm not after the city just yet." Slash pointed to all six Canines individually as he made it clear what he wanted. "Just one of your crystals will do. To start testing its power beyond the one we already have will be a massive power boost, worthy of increasing our ability to take over this city by ten fold!"

"You already have one!?" Rubble yelled, getting ready to fight back as he charged up his wrecking ball attack. "You'd better hand it over right now!"

Rocky saw what Rubble was doing and tried to warn him. "Rubble, don't!" But it was too late. Rubble took off as soon as Rocky's warning finished.

Slash instantly prepared for this, jumping up as soon as Rubble did and aiming a powerful kick at him. "Goal kick!" Slash kicked Rubble back and out of his ball form with Rocky stepping in front of him and catching him with his paws. He skidded on the ground and stood his ground as he held Rubble in his arms. Rubble smiled to Rocky after he stopped, being grateful for the save. Slash then condescendingly reminded the group of one benefit he had due to sacrificing his humanity to become a demon wolf. "I'm a demon with every enhancement imaginable, remember?"

Everest stepped next to Snow, getting her ice powers even more ready as she stared Slash down. "Enhancement or no enhancement, you're still outnumbered."

"I think I can dwindle that number down myself." Slash responded, preparing himself as he and the Paw Patrol members he was up against, and Charm, got ready to fight. Just before the battle began, Slash gave some 'reassuring' words to the group. "Don't worry too much now. Your defeat will be humiliating, but I'll make it quick." Slash's expression changed to one of a lust for violence and a joy in how he was about to approach this battle. "After all, I loathe a dragged out performance."

Back with Wave's side of things, Victoria was having the demons hold off Wave and the others as she tied Liberty up and surrounded her with most of the demons. Liberty struggled to try and get out of Victoria's trap, but it was to no avail. Victoria started talking gleefully about what she was going to do as her part of the demon army surrounded her. "Since I can't electrocute you, I'll have to find some other ways to hurt you." All five Paw Patrol members became horrified as Victoria looked down at one of the demons. "Or I could just TURN you!"

As Victoria laughed maniacally, Wave was about to rush in to save Liberty, but Marshall put a paw on her shoulder to stop her. "Wave, wait!"

Ryder then gave Wave a command to remind her of how big the stakes are, despite how much it hurt him that they Liberty was in that predicament. " It hurts me to no end that we can't just rush in there and save Liberty. But it's too risky. We have to plan this out. Which should take less than a minute." Ryder was right. Upon counting the demons, there were at least two hundred of them in that one area. Wave considered the danger, and how much it would risk all of them. "There's so many demons down there that them infecting us is almost guaranteed."

Wave then started thinking about how much danger Liberty was in. She was the one Victoria was planning to torture. That thought alone brought horror to Wave's eyes. Like everyone else, Wave was terrified over the idea of losing anyone, especially a close ally. And Wave's heart always told her to save those in need, no matter how much she had to go through. Victoria revealing and setting down a bag of her devices was what led to her disobeying Ryder, just as he was about to give his commands. "No time!"

Wave jumped down without hesitation, prompting Marshall to call down to her as he, Zuma, and Ryder showed even more fear now that she was rushing in. "Wave!"

Wave landed on the ground with a fierce and determined expression, powering herself up and rushing towards the demons to save Liberty. Victoria noticed this immediately and sent the demons after her without hesitation. "Dang it; keep the Dalmatian busy!" The demons charging at Wave would've been enough to overpower her before. But with her new enhancement powers, she was much more of a match for them now. This was proven as she went right for the middle one and struck it with a powerful punch right in the center and sent it back.

After the demon was sent into several others, Wave continued to send the demons back with powerful enhanced punches and kicks. Some of them were even spread kicks and spin kicks that attacked multiple demons at once. All the while she managed to evade getting scratched by any of them ducking under the ones she was close to and jumping over them when they aimed their strikes. After her latest jump, she grabbed a demon and spun around with it, hitting every demon surrounding her in that moment.

In that moment, Ryder gave the command to Marshall and Zuma, knowing that as impressive as Wave was in that moment, it wouldn't be enough. "Marshall! Zuma! Now!" Marshall, Zuma, and Ryder jumped down with Marshall burning the demons who came at him, and Zuma using his water powers to blindside them before defeating them himself. Ryder activated a shield on himself that would prevent him from turning while defeating some of the demons as well. Wave continued fighting past the demons, even as one successfully scratched her cheek.

Wave immediately rebounded from this and knee stomped the demon's knee right before it could teleport. Afterwards, she stomped on the demon to kill it instantly so she wouldn't be at risk of turning. She jumped up immediately after that and started running on the demons. When Victoria attempted to zap her, she dodged just in time to another demon, grabbing one of them and holding its back to guard herself. Victoria ended up zapping the demon after that, and Wave jumped to the stage at that moment.

Wave threw the demon at Victoria, who ducked underneath it as Wave dashed at her. She aimed a powerful punch at Victoria, who blocked it with an electrified palm. Liberty noticed that Wave was getting much less affected by Victoria's electricity as she continued to collide punches and kicks with Victoria. This told her that Victoria savored her electricity with hand to hand combat to prepare for a more powerful finisher. Wave noticed Victoria's hand electrify even more as she aimed her next punch. That told her she needed to act fast.

Wave dodged Victoria's punch and aimed a kick at her shin, only for it to be revealed that she was actually doing a palm press on the ground. Liberty saw her palm start to move and called to Wave to warn her. "Jump!" Wave saw Victoria's palm hit the ground just in time, jumping just before the electricity surrounding the area around them could hit her. Wave landed on Victoria's back and jumped forward, dodging her next zap as she did. This allowed her to land a spin kick on her once she reached her face.

Wave's enhanced kick was strong enough to send Victoria back, causing her to need to get caught by the demons she had with her to keep her from flying back. They were able to avoid infecting her, much to her relief. Wave broke the device Victoria was trapping Liberty in and caught her, hugging her tightly for a brief moment before facing Ryder. Wave didn't hesitate to run on the demons again, moving quick with her enhanced quick stomps. Victoria attempted to zap her again after getting up, leading to Wave using Liberty's newfound rubber effect. "Sorry Libby!"

Liberty's rubber effect kicked in again right at the moment she told Wave she understood. "Nothing wrong with making use of your new Dachshund balloon."

Wave finished running on the demons and landed right where Marshall, Zuma, and Ryder were. Ryder saw this and tossed a shield over to Liberty, who went under it as Ryder then called over to Victoria. "Give it up Victoria! Your demons are already a third of the way down! We can handle the rest!"

Victoria started electrifying herself, only to get a call from Slash on her earpiece. Only she could hear it, but it was clear that the situation annoyed her. "Are you serious Slash? I was just about to kill the Street Rat and four of her friends!" Victoria groaned after what Slash said next. "Okay, fine. I have to find out why Liberty wasn't hurt by my lightning anyway." Victoria stopped the call, snapping her fingers to make the demons vanish afterwards. This confused the others as Victoria explained herself. "Apparently, Slash got a hold of what we came for."

"What you came for?" Zuma asked, and then he started to piece together what that was. "You mean one of our cwystals?"

Victoria spawned a portal with a device Slash gave her, but not before Marshall shot fire in her path right in front of the portal before she could leave. She glared at Marshall, who stood his ground with the others. "We're not just gonna let you leave."

Victoria stepped through the fire and patted her clothes, catching the others off guard with how little she cared about hurting herself. "Leaving anyway! Thanks for having me." Victoria then called over to Liberty just before the portal deactivated. "Guess you lucked out again Street Rat!"

That prompted Liberty to ask Victoria why she kept targeting her specifically. "Why do you keep insulting ME specifically!? What did I ever do to you!?"

"Ask me again next time! I might be willing to answer that." Victoria said coldly, showing that she wasn't in the mood for answering questions. After her portal closed, Wave, Marshall, Zuma, Liberty, and Ryder were all checking on each other with Ryder deactivating the shield around Liberty. She had to admit that she was pretty shaken up by all of this, as shown by her lasting concern in her expression to Wave. This was her first viewing of pure demons. And it was not pleasant in the slightest.

Before the call that led to Victoria leaving, Slash was fending off against Snow's group, currently going head to head with Charm in clashing blade strikes once again. Everest took a chance to throw ice at the ground to make Slash slip, but as soon as he did, he stabbed the ice with his knife to regain his balance. Charm dashed at him right after that and slashed at his chest, landing a strike on him before grabbing him. Slash grabbed his knife with his free paw and jumped back just before Charm could kick him, slashing the bottom of Charm's paw when he did.

Charm flinched when he landed, but heard Rubble coming and ducked as he went over him and aimed a wrecking ball at Slash. Slash was then met with the fling of a metallic pole from Rocky's truck, which he grabbed after dodging Rubble's strike. He then hit Rubble with it and sent him towards Rocky, who was saved just in time with Claw's shield as he ran over to them. Rocky went to check on Rubble while controlling the pole Slash was holding, allowing Charm to lunge at him again.

Everest tried to take advantage of Slash being distracted to freeze his paw, but he jumped up and kicked Charm over to Everest after grabbing his knife again. As soon as Charm collided with Everest, Snow created an ice spike out of the ice to strike Slash with after throwing a paint drop onto it. Slash used the knife to stab the ice spike, piercing right through it. Snow then looked towards a nearby tree and pressed her paw against it, sending several branches towards Slash. Slash dodged while pulling the knife out, breaking the ice in the process.

Snow continued making good use of her power by using the grass to trick Slash by having him cut it when it rose up. However, Snow then flicked paint on one piece of grass, which grabbed the knife with a perfectly timed swirl hole. While that did stop the knife, it didn't stop Slash, who extended his claws and used them to cut the grass. Snow created a gauntlet on her paw to punch Slash with, but Slash deflected it and set his sights on her crystal.

Seeing how much range her crystal had, Slash knew Snow's creation crystal would be the best one to grab. So he pinned Snow to the ground and grabbed her crystal, yanking it out of her collar after a bit of struggle, due to how hard the crystal tried to stick to Snow's collar. Snow grabbed onto the crystal with her free paw, and during this, Charm slashed through the grass and aimed another slash at him. Slash felt the knife slash his back, prompting him to get up and kick Charm back after dodging his next slash, causing him to tumble on the ground.

Snow lunged at Slash, who dodged her and pinned her to the ground. He put his paw on her head as he did, giving a smug grin as he followed up on his earlier claim. "Told you it would be quick!" He then punched Snow's head, knocking her out before spawning another portal. Charm attempted to slash at him again, but he went into the portal and closed it instantly. Snow woke up right after that, and when Charm helped her up, she instantly realized what happened.

Snow felt her collar and saw that her crystal was gone. This caused her anxiety to act up again, but it also enraged her. The combination of fear and anger caused her to tremble, and Charm offered her a knife as he looked around at the grass. "Just in case you're in a slashing mood."

Snow instantly got to slashing, screaming at the top of her lungs as she cut down all of the grass. "I'm better than this! I'm better than HIM!" Everest wanted to comfort Snow, but she felt it would be best to wait until she calmed down. Especially since she understood who she was referring to by 'him'. And it wasn't Slash.

Back with Wave and the others, Ryder was telling Wave how he felt about her disobeying his command. During this, Marshall was making sure her scratch mark was really gone, being relieved when he saw that it was. "Your performance in battle today was admirable. But you still disobeyed a command. You could've gotten infected again."

"Wait, again? When did it happen the first time?" Liberty asked out of curiosity.

"Thwee yeaws ago at Chawm's old base." Zuma explained so Liberty would be caught up.

Wave then got to addressing what she did out there. She didn't want to make excuses, but she knew Ryder wanted to know why she did what she did. "I know it was a crazy stunt Ryder. The moment I saw Victoria pull out her device bag, all I could think about was saving Liberty."

Marshall went in to give Wave some brotherly advice, expressing his concern for her as he did. "I know how much you want to protect everyone Wave. We all do." Marshall took Wave's paw to show that he was serious. "But your life matters too. We aren't saying you can't do everything you can to protect people. Just please, listen to us, and consider your own safety when you're protecting others too. I'm sure you know I'm familiar with going too far with protecting someone."

"Hehe. Yeah." Wave responded, knowing what Marshall was referring to there. She then gave Marshall's words some thought. She didn't want to just dismiss them. She just hoped she could control herself when it came to others being in danger. "I don't know if I can promise anything yet. But I'll try." Wave then hugged Marshall, which he reciprocated instantly.

Liberty noticed Wave's look of concern, and Wave noticed her look of concern too. Both wanted to protect everyone more than anything. But Marshall was right. They couldn't protect others if they weren't alive. It wasn't just Wave needing to start listening to others either. Liberty realized that she had to tell Wave about the things she was feeling as the screen faded to black, ending the episode off.

Rock music started playing as Rocky started talking about what was going to happen with specific moments from the next chapter being shown. "Snow's been crushed since Slash stole her meteorite shard. It's a good thing Ryder upgraded our technology. We found Slash's base in a day! No question about it, Charm and I are perfect for this mission. And there's no way I'm letting Snow down. Come on Charm! Let's stick it to our disowned father and help our friend!"

Rocky finished the announcement with the words Paw Patrol in all blue with red outlines surrounded with a white border with Wave on the right, and Marshall on the left. "Next time, Goodway Brothers Base Infiltration!" Liberty got a good look at Snow's painting, which showed half of her face, and half of Carl's, as if they were the same. "We'll get your crystal back soon Snow. Charm and I can promise that."
