Revenant Pov:

"Mary Lovecraft, those two names alone are a red herring since they represent two horror authors who wrote stories that captivated hundreds of humans. Mary? Is the first name after Shelly who wrote the book 'Frankenstein', the other one is obvious since the last name comes from H. P. Lovecraft. Who wrote about stories of cosmic monsters and sunken kingdoms, It's ironic since I fought something like that a year ago. But that doesn't matter since the new threat lingering in Seabrook is a renowned woman who looked like she'd been through a surgery gone wrong. But none of that matters since I'm not her dance partner, and it seems like the people who decided to live here had encountered Mary in the past. I just have to question them and avoid a punch in the face, or worse. A bullet."

Morning-Seabrook High

Having gone through a rough night at Bree's diner from a new visitor to town who was on an unusual mission to reveal Seabrook's true identity to everyone. Revenant went to school tired and had bruises on his ribs from the thrashing Mary gave him back at the diner last night. He'd asked Bree to keep the encounter a secret since the last thing he wanted was for everyone to learn about a new visitor who planned on stirring up trouble. Walking past the main entrance and to his locker, the zombie didn't hear the sound of a gleeful voice coming from behind him.

"Hola, zombie boy."

The voice greeted him which left Revenant to recognize the voice as Panda, daughter of the infamous Body Bagger Mack Delgado, also known as 'Clown Face'. A while back after numerous flirts and attempts to get his attention, Revenant's girlfriend Wynter decided to bring her into their relationship in the form of forming a pack between the two of them.

"You seem chipper this morning. I heard from yesterday that your dad wanted you to with with Nightwing along with Cassie and Vlad."

Revenant responded to the Hispanic cheerleader since one of the things that Panda hated was Delgado putting her through training at the Big House. The girl rolled her eyes at needing the practice which she found annoying since she'd had similar training when she lived in Terminus. The father would put her through various training sessions to help her prepare for the family business of infamous people with bounties.

"Yeah, like that was any fun. Having to learn hand-to-hand combat, self-defense, all that boring crap. I already did that stuff when I met the old man."

Complaining about already being ready to handle anything or anyone that was bigger than her and didn't care about hurting her. Deciding to let Panda get her frustration out, the two walked down the hallway leaving Delgado's daughter to talk about other events that happened with her yesterday.

"Anyway, I want to talk about Wynter and me spending time together. She got to show me the wolf den and that moonstone rock, sucks that it's the reason for them to stay alive. We could say it's a diamond and pawn it off."

Panda informed Revenant about getting the chance to meet Wynter's other pack and learn about Seabrook was originally their home before the humans came. The last part made Rev smirk at the idea since the moonstone looked like a giant diamond but winced at Panda's joke.

"I know my jokes are killer, but it looked like it broke your ribs."

She questioned how he winced at the response as the zombie shook his head to Panda to show he was alright. Deciding to ignore whatever he might have been up to last night; they continued to walk down the hallway where Revenant noticed his phone buzzing as he got a text from Brit who had managed to be excused from class and to meet her in the monster society room.

"What? You're lucky, I got to go to science while you get to have fun. You owe me some excitement since we're in a pack now."

Panda looked at the next and was upset that he was needed for what could be something important. Revenant nodded that he'd bring her along if she was needed as he watched Delgado's daughter go off to act like an ordinary student. Meanwhile, for him, the zombie hoped that Bree didn't tell Brittney or the others about their encounter with Mary Lovecraft. Preparing for whatever lay before him, he made his way to the room where Rev opened the door to see Bree as well as several of his friends waiting for his arrival.

"Bree. You didn't."

Rev pleaded to her not fessing to Brit about what happened at the diner. Bree didn't just tell her but in the room were Addison, Zed, Wynter, Nightwing, Mercy, Cassie, and finally Vlad who were in the room staring at the zombie who looked upset at their friend for keeping this a secret between him and Bree.

"You may be tough and reliable in looking after everyone in this town. But you suck at not looking hurt, since your ignoring the beating last night from Seabrook's newest visitor."

Cassie Hack was the first to speak out as she noticed the zombie trying to fake not being hurt since Bree had told her and the others about the fight with the supernatural woman. It also left Wynter to growl at him for hiding this from them and believing he could play it off as if it wasn't important.

"Let's see the bruises."

She told him so they could get a glimpse at Revenant's injuries to see how tough Mary was. Having no choice but to sit down and show them the bruises, he lifted his shirt to show the black and blue mark on his rib cage which made the others gasp at how visible they were.

"Yep. Those came from Mary."

Vlad announced that the attacks came from Mary Lovecraft since he could see the faint sucker imprints that came from the tentacles. Addison went over to the closet to pull out a small med kit to treat his bruises since Revenant would have healed due to his unique zombie genetics. It caught everyone by surprise at how they didn't heal, more or less having Revenant moving around like everyone else. Nightwing looked at the deviling to see if this was the mystery woman that she warned him about after the zombie fought Mack Delgado.

"I know that look. That's the 'I know what's happening' look, everyone in the room had it once in a while. So spill the beans."

Zed reacted to Nightwing's expression that the fruitpire was giving to Mercy Sparx since this would eventually involve everyone stepping in and handling the problem since they considered it a regular occurrence. However, Vlad raised his hand slightly on having a history with her.

"It's more of a pot of rice and beans. Cassie and I encountered Mary Lovecraft two years ago when we were looking into a disturbance, that's where we met."

He responded on the same day they encountered the tentacled-arm woman and had managed to survive the encounter. Confused at what the large man meant by that, it was a sign to close the door as well as the window cover to make sure no one peaked at their conversation.

"Wait. This is a perfect time I can try out this new ability A-Spen taught me, never thought I had the chance to use it."

Addison spoke out on helping their talk a secret as she generated a force field around the room and the others. It left her friends to clap for her first try and wanting to talk about that later on, they decided to focus on learning about Mary Lovecraft's origins. Cassie decided to talk first since she and Vlad were the first to encounter the unnatural woman before Mercy.

"A while back on the road I got word about a disturbance happening in a small town. Harverhill, all the residents except for one person had changed into aquatic creatures. Not like the ones you have here, they were violent. Crazed, and expendable. They were made by Mary."

Cassie recalled the tale as if it happened yesterday. She and Vlad went into town seeing a horde of mutated fish people trying to attack its remaining human resident. Continuing to survive the night, that's when the woman appeared before her and was inches away from taking her out with the same tentacles that throttled Revenant.

"I don't know how to explain the rest but. She calls herself a 'Sentient hyper concept'. Whatever the hell that means, basically she's every horror story warped into one person."

Summarizing what type of woman Mary is since there was no creature like her in the world since it was the only description that could describe the woman. The Seabrook students were silent at Cassie's experience and how it seemed impossible for someone like that to exist.

"Back home at Sheol, she didn't have a name. Everyone on the street described her as a nightmare that would come to little devlings if they didn't behave. The elder demons would say the nightmare could travel anywhere it likes, causing chaos and madness. All for the fun of it."

Mercy added her part of how she knew about Mary and what she represented. This leaves them to see that the previous threats had a reason for causing destruction to Seabrook, this latest one found it amusing to toy with the lives of innocent people.

"But why did she come here? I know we've changed our ways to allow humans and other creatures to live with us, we couldn't have done that match to draw her attention here."

Brittney questioned the reason for Mary coming here where there were numerous cities, towns, and states that the woman could visit and spread her madness elsewhere. Mercy seemed to be the one who had the answer as she looked over at Zed and Revenant who were the reason for her arrival.

"She's here to greet the zombies that went to hell and back."

The devling answered Brit's question about Mary Lovecraft's arrival since out of everyone in Seabrook they had life-changing experiences and became well known. Zed and Revenant did something no living or undead creature would ever dare to do, travel into hell itself and plead to Lady Death to continue living in Seabrook.

"You say 'greet' as if we were going have brunch. The greeting she gave me was tossing me around like a flapjack."

Revenant answered Mercy's response to Mary's meaning of meeting the zombies that escaped Lady Death's grasp. There was more to his case since he'd promised Lady Death that whoever he'd taken care of for the safety of Seabrook, their souls would go to her.

"Either way, she's going to meet the werewolf who is currently dating him. As well as Panda and her father since this nightmare lady doesn't know the rule of messing with a pack."

Wynter spoke with a growl as her claws started to grind against the table as her friends watched at the werewolf wanting to meet Mary Lovecraft herself. Cassie smirked at the wolf girl's response in wanting to avenge Revenant for being tossed around in Bree's diner.

"While that would be a sight to see you going at Mary with you ripping her apart. It wouldn't do anything but make her smile, but I'd help out just to get her angry."

She responded to Wynter wanting to fight Mary which resulted in the werewolf looking embarrassed since her friends would want to hold her back. Unlike Cassie who wouldn't mind seeing her cut loose and attacking anyone that was a threat to her friends. Just as the explanation of Mary Lovecraft's origin had been explained, they heard a cawing sound from the window as it came from a raven that was tapping its peak on the glass to get their attention.

"Let me guess, Mary was also inspired by Edgar Allen Poe?"

Brit spoke out at what the bird was referring to as they noticed something on the raven's leg. Addison took down her force field and walked over to remove what looked like an envelope attached to the raven. Just as she took it off the bird's leg, it flew into the air leaving Addison and the others to open the envelope and see a letter that was sent to Zed and his companions.

"Dear Zed Necrodopolis and company. Despite my first interaction with Revenant, I mean you all no harm. I cordially invite you to have lunch with me in the abandoned movie theater on the other side of town. If you bring any Sentinel forces or weapons to this gathering, I will turn Seabrook into a madhouse without hesitation. I await your arrival, your hostess. Mary Lovecraft."

She finished reading the letter as it suddenly erupted into a flame before the group to show how powerful Mary was to send them a letter and have it turn to ash. Unsure of how to react to the invite and not bringing in any kind of support, they had no choice but to accept the invite to avoid whatever Mary planned ok do if they didn't do what she said. Whether they like it or not, Zed was going to meet the representation of every horror fiction in person.

Later-Old Movie Theater

Having gone through their school day at Seabrook High, Zed Necrodopolis made sure he appeared fit and proper once he met Mary Lovecraft in person. Walking with him were Addison, Revenant, Wynter, Panda, Cassie, Vlad, Mercy, and Nightwing. The nine walked quietly through town trying to not draw any attention to them as they reached their destination, the movie theater that was talked about in the letter. Looking at the old structure seeing it run down and showing no signs of it coming down on itself, they saw the door slowly opening to invite them inside.

"You should have let me invite my dad. He'd handle this in no time."

Panda breaks the tension that was filling the air since she knew Clown Face could take care of the monster woman that threw Revenant around like a ragdoll. Not responding to her comment, they made their way inside the structure to see various old horror posters and other types of movies that made everyone scared in the past.

"These movies look funny. Do you think we can see them after this?"

Vlad asked the group about watching one of the movies once they finished talking to Mary leaving them to look unsure since they didn't know if they made it out of the theater in one piece. Noticing a red carpet below their feet, it led them to one of the rooms which showed an empty room with destroyed seats and a projection device being used as light. It aimed at where the screen was supposed to be a table with cups filled with tea and their hostess waiting for them, Mary Lovecraft.

"Welcome, foes of old and friends of new. For a minute I thought you wouldn't come, young people, these days have become disrespectful. I planned on eating several of them when I arrived at Seabrook."

Mary welcomed the group and offered them their seats as they kept their guard up since they knew she wasn't a friend and could take them out with the unnatural presence she was giving off. Walking to their chairs and cautiously drinking the tea that was offered, Zed noticed the stitched-faced woman looking at him with her grey pupils as if she were studying the zombie for an experiment.

"You're not what I suspected when I walked passed that statue of yours standing with your girlfriend and the alpha werewolf. I thought you'd be more, broader."

She described Zed's appearance since he was taller than Revenant and not like the zombies she'd seen in her lifetime, Mary thought that he looked like a human with dyed green hair and had moon bathed for a year. Ignoring the crude joke and feeling nervous, they looked at their hostess to see why she brought them here in person and wanted to have tea.

"If it helps with the moving forward. I was once invited to a small town by another powerful woman, so you can see why everyone was a bit tensed up when we got your invitation."

Addison brought up their history when she and her friends met another powerful woman who'd taken over the town in an attempt to ally with them to bring down Seabrook. Mary laughed at the response since she'd already know about their encounter with Tunrida who attempted to persuade them to join her cause in destroying the humans.

"Well allow me to formally help settle the mood to let you know what I am. Because I'm not infernal, I'm Frankenstein, I'm Godzilla, I'm every horror story you've been told growing up. With one purpose, to make people know why they should fear the dark."

Responding to the cheerleader's past by facing ancient threats was the embodiment of every fictional monster. With that being said and the urge of wanting to use their chairs to attack Mary Lovecraft, Cassie was the first to break her cup since she and Vlad were the only ones to fight her in person than anyone in the group.

"Cut the crap. We know you came here because you're fascinated with Zed and Revenant escaping Hell, must irk you that they can't do it if you were sent there."

She called out to why Mary Lovecraft was here since a feat like this was something she wanted to look into. The Victorian woman nodded to that statement since it fascinated her that two zombies managed to leave the inferno without losing anything vital. Mary stood up from the chair and did a spin before having a spotlight shine upon her from the ceiling which caught the group by surprise to see that she wasn't alone.

"I wish to see what made you special to escape death's fingers. How a town like this could produce such unusual people, which is why before coming to this town. I've brought some friends that will test your strength and sanity."

The woman announced her intention and challenged them to see what makes them special. As well as inviting others like herself who wanted to test the protectors of Seabrook's strength. Her statement was the sign for her guests to make their presence known, Revenant's eyes widened at the sight of who Mary was talking about as he felt his heart squeezing to who she brought back to Seabrook. It was the Quill, the human who was responsible for capturing zombies and attempting to turn them into weapons to protect Seabrook.

"Quill."

Revenant responded with anger since Quill was also responsible for the death of his real parents when the outbreak happened. Standing near them were two other people with ties connected to Panda and Mercy Sparx. For the Body Bagger girl, she was looking at someone she and her father had killed back home who had been brought from the dead and wearing a yellow fur jacket and a set of pink shades. He smiled in a sadistic manner and gripped his cane intending to get revenge.

"Cisco."

Panda called out the name of the person she helped kill as she remembered him being one of her first kills when she became a Body Bagger. The third one that was near Quill and Cisco was someone that Mercy Sparx had encountered in the past. She was an angel, or what was left of one since she'd look half dead with her having the same skin tone as Cisco and wearing a dark blue and black spandex.

"Ladara."

Mercy was the last to recognize the fallen angel as Mary made her way off the stage leaving the group to stand up from the table unaware if the mad woman would command the three to attack them. Only for Mary to keep them at bay so she'd build up tension amongst them.

"All these people have affected each of your lives. And the best part of them coming back? I had help turn them into slashers, to help Cassie and Vlad not feel left out. So, how should I state this without sounding? What is it that you kids say, 'cringe'?"

Mary asked before showing another feature of the concept of every horror story. She rose from the ground to levitate in the air as well as showing them the tentacles that were used to take down Revenant at the diner.

"Let my monster ball, begin!"

She shouted and commanded the three to attack the nine as they didn't know how to react to the assault coming toward them. Mercy was fortunate to react quickly as she pulled out her lighter and torches the table which blinded the slashers from attacking everyone. Revenant, Zed, and Vlad lifted the burning table and threw it at the trio before escaping through the exit that would lead them outside. The slashers ignored the burning and attempted to give chase.

"Leave them, I want them to take in the nightmares I've brought to their town. Besides, you all need to find ways to make this town go crazy. I have other plans in mind for Seabrook, isn't that right? Zombie Priest?"

Mary asked another associate she'd brought with her since there was hiding behind the chairs who watched the meeting happen. He wasn't as menacing as the others but was a small man wearing a purple suit with a matching hat with a face on it. The priest nodded in a demented manner to what Mary Lovecraft had in mind for Seabrook while the slashers distracted the others from stopping her. The slashers looked at their mistress spinning in the air gracefully as if she was dancing to what the young adults were capable of and if they'd survive her guests from tearing the town apart.

"If you wish to know who the slashers and Zombie priest are. I'd suggest reading the comics of Mercy Sparx, The Goon, and Body Baggers to give you and idea of what they're capable of. Stay tune to see what comes next for Seabrook."
