OK, we are now in chapter 17 where Brock shows Van how to golf text him on his first golfing lesson. He also takes his other boys and his family Henry who's with Barbara Jean but he takes him because he's his son and his other son Jake this will be a focus on only those characters in this chapter so this is a male chapter altogether. I hope you enjoy this fun chapter.

Also, this chapter takes place during the time of the while the girls are having their little party their baby shower.

Brock went to pick up his son Henry from his mother Barbara Jean's house. Barbara Jean was invited to the baby shower at Cheyenne's house because Cheyenne invited her to go. She was still there for the time being. Telling her that she was taking Henry to play golf with him. Henry does don't live with me at least I don't think so said Barbara Jean.
OK, he says but I think he does stay here with you. You're right she says he does and what are you gonna do? I'm taking him to go and play golf with me. He says have a good time. Barbara Jean said calling for Henry to come.
Be back when I get returned she says putting her finger at her husband oh I will. Brock says well ex-husband I should say.
Yes, Henry still lives with his mother because he's only 13 then he went to Jake's house or to Reba's house to pick Jacob up. Tell Reba the same thing OK Reba said fine. You can take my son to go play golf with you, but I don't think he wants to he's going to anyway what else is he gonna do all day?
Cool, I'm gonna go and play golf with my dad. Jake said as he got in the car with Henry. I get to go and play golf with my nephew. He says our brother he says yeah Henry said, looking nonchalantly at his half-brother stepbrother whatever you wanna call him.
They just had to pick up one more person. The kids said in the back they didn't need car seats anymore. They were older kids now they pulled up to Cheyenne van's new house door. Hello, Cheyenne said I'm coming at the doorbell rang and rang and rang. I'm coming to Cheyenne said, putting her hands on her hips.
I'm coming she said ding dong, ding dong. The bell rang. I'm coming. She finally opened the door and her father was standing there. Oh father sorry, she said I was getting ready for the baby shower that was in my honor. When will my little when will they be born? When will the baby be born? He asked soon she said.
But now today is the baby shower she says and I'm waiting for mother to come and pick me up to take me or it's gonna be here at my house so they'll be here soon. She said Barbara Jean and the others will be here and my friends, she said I guess you're taking my husband somewhere. Her father nodded yes and her father and his father are gonna meet us there too. It'll be some bonding time. Sounds good she said what are you all going to do we're gonna go play golf. He says OK said, Cheyenne.
I hope y'all have a great time. Cheyenne said we will. Brock said to his daughter smiling at her. You had one beautiful child now you'll have another he says yes Cheyenne said I can't wait and it's a baby boy and that's exciting too. Oh yes, I'll have a grandson and a granddaughter. He says not that I don't love Elizabeth but I will love my son and grandson too he says.
I hope so Cheyenne said I know so he says back. I never got to say how much I'm proud of you, Cheyenne Cheyenne smiles. I know, father she says even though I was a ditz in high school and got pregnant at 17 and then married the man I had a baby with and then tried my best to go to college she said and then going to dental school and now I'm a dentist she says.

And I couldn't be any more prouder, he says.
Oh, thanks Dad She says all she says thanks DadShe says again. You make me blush and that way she said, making me embarrassed well it was that time you didn't have to be under my apprenticeship he says, and have your practice now.
Yeah, she says she finishes up getting her house and herself ready for her party for the baby shower van should be down soon she says.
And then she said that the van had come down the stairs. He was ready to go with his new club and balls that he had gotten from Brock. I'm ready to go van said OK. He said you'll get to sit in the front seat. Of course, he said have a good time. Cheyenne said you too for your party. Her husband said as he waved goodbye to her.
Did you blow a kiss as they got into the car and left and left to go to the golf course the first car was up for the baby shower but they didn't worry about that now they were on their way to the golf course we'll have a great time Brock said, looking at his little family van, his wonderful son-in-law his two sons in the backseat.
His older son Jake his younger son Henry and his son-in-law were all ready to go then asked my other father-in-law to be there. He's meeting us there. Brock said he would meet us at the golf course he said.
And we'll play one round of golf he says which will be all 18 holes he says.
Don't worry, they'll provide us with lunch too. We're gonna spend all day here he says driving up to the country club.
And if we finish all rounds of golf, we will play tennis and other sports here he says the boys looked at each other as they got out of the car, and there were vans other father-in-law from his father. He should say his father and father-in-law.

They went to the clubhouse and registered them to play. They were gonna play all day, obviously while the girls were doing their baby shower.
Prock fantasizes about teaching his little grandson how to play as well. They got onto the course and he taught them. Mr. Montgomery already kinda knew how to play, but he had to teach Van Henry and Jake. So that took some time so the game was slow, which was fine. Told them all the techniques and the bad part parts of it in the good parts and that the loser had the highest point and the winner had the lowest points van couldn't comprehend that very well because he played football and the highest points always won in that The golf was different Brock explained.
Henry and Jake caught on pretty quickly. Eventually, Van did too, and they all had a great time playing together and having some good male bonding time while the girls had a female bonding time together.
At the baby shower the boys had a great time playing golf at the country club then they had lunch after their round and they played another round of golf or was it tennis they don't know but they had a great time and that's all that matters.
Having a good time is all that matters to them.
It was cold because it was January, but they didn't mind running around and hitting the ball to warm themselves up a little luckily there were indoor courses for the second time they played indoors wow I've played putt before Henry said I too said Jake, but we never played actual golf. This is more fun than putt yeah.
Both of them agreed together after they were done they drank some water and got their scores and when they were done, they returned home. Mr. Montgomery went home and then Brock took Henry home first and then Jake Jake was gonna be last then he took the van home. Reva was about to leave. I'll take Jake home. She said OK. Brock said as he left and went home.
Barbara Jean went home first because her son was home alone and she knew how reckless her son was when he was occupied with something and one by one. The girls left and brought left earlier and Reba took her son home.
Everyone had a good time and it was a good time.
That was the end of the memories that Van will have for the rest of his life he realized he could play golf when he was not working in his real estate thing just like his father-in-law did when he was in dentistry.
Cheyenne asked did you have a good time? Yes, Van said and you yes I'll show you all the cute things I got for our child she said excitedly. Great I can't wait to see all the new baby things he says as she showed him everything she got that day.
Good, our baby will be prepared. He said smiling at her. I hope so. She says.
After that, everyone went to bed and that was the day.
