~University Hospital of Willowdale, Virginia~
Hulk stared through the window at his lover in worry and saddest as she laid in the hospital bed. Cover in bruises, dry blood, and bandages that were holding her body together. The doctors were amazed that her heart is still beaten strong like an engine even if her whole body is damage. It didn't make any sense, but he can thank his lucky star that she had not died.
He looked at his hands, remembering how they were cover in her blood as he tries to keep her blood in her body while hurrying to the nearby hospital. He can feel the anger, the rage, and the guilt trying to control his whole body that wants to destroy everything and anything in his path for failing them. However, he looked at his only lover, Elizabeth 'Betty' Ross, and remembered her bloody hand touching his face as she spoke her final words to him after falling unconscious from blood loss. She said-
"Hulk!"
He didn't need to turn around to know that his family is running to him and hearing them gasp once they see Betty lying there.
"Oh my God! Betty!" Red shouted from shock. It is always painful to see your child injure while you stand there, powerless to help them. He falls to his knees with his head low.
A-Bomb looked like he was about to have a panic attack. He liked Betty. Since meeting her after the Hulk's birth, she didn't show any hatred toward him for causing her boyfriend to become the Hulk. And was like a big sister to him whenever she is around.
"What happens to her, Hulk?!" She-Hulk demanded answers. Betty was her best friend and family, even if she and her cousin weren't in a relationship anymore. Whoever did this to her is going to pay for causing her friend pain!
Red started to glow with the heat ration off of him. Let everyone know that the Red Hulk, the second strongest in the Agent of S.M.A.S.H, is piss! "What the Hell happens to my daughter?!"
"She was trying to save our King," out of the shadow was the High Priest of Sakaar, Hiroim, and the other top generals of Skaar's Warbound: Krog, Miek, Elloe Kaifi, and No-name.
"The Warbound?!" The Agents of S.M.A.S.H., beside Hulk, were surprised to see them here.
A-Bomb:
"Yeah, that would be Hiroim, Korg, Elloe, Miek, and No-Name. A.k.a the Warbound!"
"What are there doing here?" She-Hulk asked with her Gamma Gauntlets, ready to attack. Red and A-Bomb are readying their weapons as well.
Hulk stands between them, "Stand down. We've more problems than the Warbounds being here."
"Then why are they here?"
"And what did you mean, 'She tried to save our King'?" Red asked, still not lowing his gun.
Hulk:
"It happens all too fast, and I can't save them. I fail them."
~2hr Ago near Willowdale, Virginia~
Bruce dashed to the Minifighter after getting the message that his son was in Willowdale, Virginia, where his former lover lives and works. It's a surprise and worries him that Michael would go there than any place on Earth. Maybe cause a clone will also share the memories of the donor. Like Skaar knowing how to use the Thunder Clap to escape the Base and Savage She-Hulk knowing every hero that lives in New York. The perfect mixer of his intelligence and Hulk's strength with their alien side too. A powerful and dangerous pair that he wished himself and Hulk could've done in the past.
But enough about him, he needs to hurry for his son before his Warbounds or worse, the Leader gets him. All he can do was thanks to the anonymous tip for his son's whereabouts. He believes Lyra tips him off since she knows her brother's location longer than him and maybe needed him to hurry. It is just wonderful to see his first son in the flesh. However, it also worries and scares him to see his son again cause he might run off again or fight. It's just a lot of emotions that would've may Hulk come out, but lucky the Big Guy knows that would be a bad idea cause they don't know if Michael still has his higher sense in his human form. This is why he took a long shower and wore the strongest men's cologne to block Hulk's or any of the Agents of S.M.A.S.H's scent. Better safe than sorry when it comes down to his children.
The trial for his children had started, and as much as he wants to see the problem and see Jen's plan for them. He needs to focus on getting his son then finding his daughter. And have a second plan which if the trial ends badly for them. But would he leave the superhero life and go into hiding for his children? But where would he and his children go? He sure Sakaar and Utopia would 'welcome' the father of their rulers. Or maybe he should-
"You have arrived at your destination," the MiniFighter's A.I. speak, causing the scientist to park the small jet in the woods. Again fearing the worst of his son, but now he needs to see them.
~Culver University~
Bruce walked the campus that was full of young people ready to discover and advance their young life. God, he remembers being that age wants to learn new things about science while dating his Betty. He would've graduated college a lot earlier and become Dr. Robert 'Bruce' Banner pretty quick if it wasn't for her wanting to help other students with their assignment, having 'fun' at Red's cabin in the Red Wood, or enjoying a piece of pizza at Stanley's. She makes him come out of his shell, and that is what he loves about Betty. And now she has been caring for his son.
"Cellular Biology-Dr. Elizabeth Ross," Bruce smiled. 'So she still teaches the same lessons, huh?'
As he walked to her classroom, he can feel his feet getting heavy. Is he ready to see his son again? The last time he had seen his son was when he was about to run away, feeling used to abuse by the same man that saw him as a father figure. But this time, he won't fail his son or his daughter either.
As he got to the side of the door, he finally saw them- his former lover and son. Betty is still beautiful since the last time he sees her, and it looks like she isn't even aging. At the same time, Michael is in a black shirt, a brown leather jacket, blue jeans, and black boots. His hair was short as if he or maybe Betty had cut it down. Not bad. As he looks closer, he can also see Michael were on the ground playing with some toys. For once, he is looking like a real kid. He feels the air leaving his body once seeing them there.
"Betty, I am hungry," his son said in the sweetest boy voice ever.
Betty looked at the clock then at the boy, "Well, Stanley isn't opened yet, Michael. Maybe I can get you a snack to hold you, okay?"
Dr. Elizabeth 'Betty' Ross
Daughter of the Red Hulk/General Ross and (Former?)Girlfriend of Bruce Banner/the Hulk
Bruce Banner: (He started to smile then laugh with sadness)
"She names him Michael. She names him for me. She continues to amaze me."
"Okay."
While Betty was getting her wallet, Bruce moves away, ready to talk to her for the first time since they fight.
She exits her classroom and gets far away from her classroom but is pulled into the janitor's dark closet. Her mouth was cover, stopping her scream or keeping the son of the Incredible Hulk from hearing her. Is it the Leader's grooms? Did they find them? However, she would be damned if she would let someone touch her or take that little boy. She's the daughter of General Thaddeus E. 'Thunderbolt' Ross/the Red Hulk! She started punching and kicking this person even bit the palm of his hand, causing him to groan in pain. But before she can grab her 'weapon'-
"Betty, stop!" He had finally got to the light switch before she tried to hurt him or even bite him harder. "It's me, Bruce! Stop!"
She stopped her assault, looking shocked to see her former lover in his human form. "Bruce? Is that you?"
"Yeah, it's-" he was stopped when a fist landed on his shoulder.
"That's for treating him like a damn dog, Bruce!"
"Yeah, I needed that," Bruce thanked as he rubs his shoulder, which kind of hurt a little. That's was odd, but then again, he is Banner right now. And she is Red's daughter also. That fruitcake had her learned fencing, bomb-making, and gun use for 'protection.' Along with her 'godfather' Agent Gabriel 'Gabe' Jones of S.H.I.E.L.D too.
In the past, he would get jealous of how she would care/worry about Hulk or keep telling him that the Hulk and Dr. Bruce Banner are just one person to her. She wouldn't be his- the Betty he knows if she wouldn't care for others. Oh, how badly he wished he could have listened to her. "Does he know who you are?" "Yes, you did, but you saw the error of your ways."
"No. He will've run away if he knows that I'm Red's daughter, and well, you know."
"Yeah. That we were l-"
"Yeah."
"How did you find him?"
"I find him in the Redwoods hurt and unconscious during my vacation. I rushed in to save him and took him to the hospital. They let me took him after I show them I 'work' with S.H.I.E.L.D."
Bruce can hear Hulk growling in the back of his mind. The Leader must have found him then sent one of his lapdogs to get Michael. Who knows which of those followers have done this to his son? Got to be someone as strong as the Hulk to injury his son like that. Whoever this person was could be around the corner waiting for the perfect time to pounce. He needs to get Michael out of here. Now!
"Thank-"
"There no need for that, Bruce," she interrupted and smile. "I am always here for you and the others."
"Yeah, I know."
Both were silent, just staring at each other eyes. Betty was so glad to see Bruce again. It feels so long since she has seen him, Jen, her dad, and Rick; now A-Bomb is glad to see them all together as a bit of family. Something she envies from the inside but still felt happy for them. Bruce was also excited to see Betty again and caring for his son. He remembers how she always wanted to have a little family with him, something she didn't have in the past with her parents.
"Um, you name him Michael for me, huh?"
"Yeah, I remember you wanted to name our- I mean, well, your son's name that. Or maybe go with Skip or Santos."
"I always hated those names, but thanks."
The pair chuckled a little, then when quiet, avoiding eye contact. As if he didn't have control of himself, Bruce's right hand to Betty's left cheek made her look at him while rubbing it as she liked it. Betty stared into his eyes, then closed her eyes and accepted the touch by kissing the palm of his hand enjoy hearing him growl/groan. Bruce stopped, which causes Betty to ask, "What? What's wrong?"
"I... am a dad."
"I know," she tried to lead him closer for a kiss, but he back away. "What?"
"As must as I long to have you in my arms again. You... aren't the reason why I came here," the scientist should feel his words choking up. This was his woman! He wanted to marry the only woman, have his children, and live the rest of their days in Vista Verde if the accident didn't happen or finally delete the Hulk. But his children need him more than she does. He chooses his children over her. "I am here for my son. I'm sorry, Betty."
"It's okay," Betty smiled as tears started to fall. She wasn't crying in sadden cause Bruce doesn't want her anymore. She was crying cause Bruce had changed a lot since the discovery of his children. This was the Bruce Banner she always wants to see since the accident. Standing his ground instead of running or hiding from the problem. She knows Bruce and those kids are going to be alright. "I understand, Bruce. Those children- Michael and Laurie need their father. The brain and brawn together."
"I know. And her name is Lyra, not Laurie."
Betty rolled her eyes and chuckle, "Of course."
The door opened, which caused the adults to see it was Michael. The boy looked worried and asked, "Betty, are you okay?"
"Yes, I'm fine," she answered. "What are you doing out my classroom, Michael?"
"Looking for you." The little king looked at the hero with his head tilt. "Hey. Who are you?"
"Hey," Bruce greeted back with a smile. He feels so nervous yet excites at the same time, finally being around his son. Not wanting to creep the boy out, Bruce introduced himself. "I'm Dr. Robert Banner, but you can call me Bruce."
"I am Michael." Something was off about this man. The way he was staring at him with nervousness and excitement in those eyes. Why? He doesn't know this man yet. He started to have this familiar feeling toward Dr. Banner. Why?
"This was the man I was telling you that would watch you while I am traveling for work," Betty said, knocking the boy out of his train of thought.
"Huh? Oh. Yeah, right." Michael walked near Betty, grabbed her hand, and kissed her knuckle with a blush around his cheeks. "Thank you for all of the kindness you've given me, Betty."
Betty smiled with a blush, "The pleasure all mine, Michael. I hope to see you again someday."
"Maybe, Betty. I would see you guys in the classroom when you're done not being 'friends.'"
That causes the adults to blush hard at Michael's comment as he left them.
"I better take him back to Gamma Base, Betts," Bruce whisper.
"Yeah. Goodbye, Bruce."
He grabbed both of her hands, kissed them, then kiss her forehead, and said, "Thank you for everything, Betty. Goodbye."
"Goodbye."
~Betty's House~
Once the males entered the house, Michael said he would pack his things while Bruce explored his old home. He was surprised to see that she would still stay here that holds many memories of them living together before the accident. But before Bruce goes in, he peaked in the living room and can see Michael on the laptop on the Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H's website. He wasn't too worry cause Hulk order Rick not to upload any videos since Skaar disappears, fearing that the Leader/S.H.I.E.L.D would be watching them. But he does worry about the comments since the fight against Lyra back in New York and the trial.
"Why haven't they upload a video yet? What are you planning, Hulk?" Michael asked. He then looked down in sadness. "Or you just don't care about me anymore."
Not wanting to see his son sad anymore, Bruce quickly enters the room. "I am sure he does care about you."
"Dr. Banner!" He quickly shut the laptop off then face the scientist. "Is there something you need?"
"No, I was just going to see if you're ready to go, but I see you were watching the Hulks."
"Yeah, um, the Hulk and his Agents of S.M.A.S.H. are cool. One of the underrated heroes I've seen."
"Really?"
"Yeah. These dumb people are calling them monsters when they are risking their lives to protect them."
"Yeah, but lucky for us, he and his team are protecting us."
Skaar looked down in shame. "I don't know about me."
"Why is that?"
"Um, I can't tell you the why, Dr. Banner. Just that this is my fault."
"You can tell me. I promise to keep it a secret, Michael."
Skaar looked at him strangely. This is the third person trying to 'learn' his past and 'help' him. Betty doesn't know anything cause he didn't tell her anything, fearing that she might be in danger. Cause for some reason, he didn't want to get her in trouble. Then she 'hire' some green-haired ponytail child/superhero psychologist asshole called Doc Samson. Skaar intends to turn into his warrior form and beat him up so badly. He saw him in Hulk's box, but he wasn't worried cause he was playing the Doctor by acting stupidly as he did toward the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. And that was fun seeing ponytail getting angry like that. But something about this man is off. Maybe he should tell him the truth cause all adults like Dr. Banner wouldn't believe his story anyway and think it's part of his 'imagination.'
"Well, I am Skaar, the Savage Hulk from the Agents of S.M.A.S.H."
"Really?" Bruce asked, trying to sound like a 'non-believer adult.' He already knows what games his son tries to pull. Skaar watched too many kid's movies to try to pull that card. "Then how are you not a Hulk then?"
"Cause the Leader shot me, which took away my gift and curse me with this weak body."
"Oh. So why aren't you with Hulk and his team?"
"Cause they seen me as a traitor now. No point in being in their team if they aren't going to trust me anymore."
"How do you know that-"
Skaar scoffed, "I know 'cause I saw it in their eyes. They don't care about me, including the Incredible Hulk."
"Why?"
"I mean, if he so eager to want a 'family,' then why hasn't he find me?"
"How do you know if he is searching for you?"
"Cause he needs to save the puny humans that fear him. Plus, I was just a dog-"
"Don't say that, Michael!" Bruce got to his son's height then grabbed his face. "I didn't see you like a dog! I love you like a son!"
Michael's eyes were big with shock as Dr. Banner's voice change into Hulk's voice! How was that possible?! Was he here to take him back to Gamma Base?! Or to lock him away?! He glared, "Why are you are here?"
"I am here to take you home."
"Home? The same home that everyone treats me like a dog? No thanks."
"Michael-"
"DON'T CALL ME THAT, HULK!" He backs away then throws the coffee table across the room, letting his eyes glow blue. He may not be able to turn into his warrior form, but he isn't powerless. He still has his Oldstrong Power to slow down Hulk. "You've no right to call me that! You and your mate were playing me as a fool! Trying to make me feel like I have a 'true' family!"
"You do have a family!" Bruce got to his son's height then grabbed his shoulders. "And that with me, the others, and your sister... Lyra."
That leaves him looking shocked from that line. "Sister? I have a sister-"
The ground shook as a familiar person shouted to them.
"BRUCE! GET MICHAEL OUT OF HERE!"
"Betty?" Bruce stood up quickly, hurry to the front door, opened it, and saw Betty choking up by a familiar tall green monster wearing a military outfit. "Betty!"
"Great to see you, my old friend," the Hulk's most potent nemesis greeted.
"Abomination!" Bruce started to snarl like the Hulk.
The Abomination
Bruce Banner:
"Emil Blonsky, a.k.a the Abomination. The Leader rivals Hulk in brains, and the Abomination rival him in strength cause of his military training and knowledge. Thanks to Red training him."
"I see you've let your whore care for your 'abomination,' huh?" The villain said with his claws getting too close to her neck and chest, which causes her to groan and scream in pain.
Bruce growled with his eyes glowing green, ready to unleash the Incredible Hulk and smash this monster. How dare this asshole disrespect his lady and son like that?! He can hear his clothes torn apart as he was slowly turning.
"I told Leader that I am not planning to go back to him!" Michael, like his father, was growling with his eyes glowing blue instead of green. He is about to use the Oldstrong power and kill this bastard. He is so done with these games and was ready to beat this monster to save Betty. He still doesn't know why he wants to keep her so badly. "And now you have the nerve to harm an innocent!"
"Then you would surrender yourself to me, boy. The Leader misses you and would like to take you to your people. Before another war happen to them."
Skaar's eyes widen in fear. Then it turns into a glare and rage, "You bastards!" He tried to walk past Hulk, but he blocked his path. Who was already the Incredible Hulk now snarling like an animal with his right-hand ball in a fist?
But Betty could see it from the both of them. They were losing control, and she needs to stop them. "No!" Betty struggled to speak as she tries to break free of Abomination's grip but manage to kick him in the face a couple of times. "You ain't taking him, asshole!"
"Quiet you," Abomination hushed her by tightening his grip around her neck, which causes her to grunt in pain. "What will you choose, boy? Would you run away like a Banner? Or fight like a mindless savage Hulk?"
Skaar stopped growling. He lowly his head and stop balling his fist. "I would fight," he raises his head back up with a glare of his glowing blue eyes. "Like a King!"
He slammed his hand onto the ground, causing it to shake with glowing blue lights heading toward the villain—the ground form into sharp rocks that impelled the villain's stomach.
Abomination dropped Betty; he grunted in frustration and glared at Michael, "You are going to try better than that, clone."
"Try this one!" Hulk charged toward him with a right punch toward his face after seeing Betty move toward them. As the villain, when flying and crash onto a car, the hero looked at his family. "Go! Get out of here!"
Betty nodded, "Right! Let's go, Michael!" She grabbed the small boy and started to run as fast as she could.
"But what about Hulk?!" Michael asked while trying to break free from Betty's grip.
"He is going to be fine! We need to go now!"
"No! You need to let me go and leave, Betty!" He finally broke free and landed on his feet. "I don't need any of your help! I am a King, and I must fight for them!"
"Bruce is your father! And he is fighting for you!" She gotten on her knees and grabbed his cheeks. "Please listen and stop fighting against your family, Michael. All we want to do is help you."
The young boy could see the pain and worry in her eyes. Is he really causing all of this problem?
"I- Betty, look out!"
As a car was flying toward, Michael created a stone wall while Betty used her own body as a shield to protect the boy. Once the car hit the wall, it exploded into a fiery ball, destroying the stone wall and engulfing them.
"NO!" Hulk screamed in horror, seeing them being engulfed by the flames. "YOU ARE GOING TO PAY, MONSTER!" He roared in complete anger like a mindless animal and charged toward the villain.
Abomination smirked as he fights this mindless animal. "You disappoint me, Hulk. Being so easy to submit."
However, as the fire started to low, creating smoke, and as the smoke started to clear, the body of Dr. Ross was there. Still standing while holding Michael. Betty let go of Michael, looking shocked that she wasn't in pain and burning alive. The flames only damage the back of her clothes.
"How-" Before she could ask, the ground shake again, causing her to turn around to see who it was. And it was the Abomination. He grabbed her by the head.
"Well, well, well. That's interest, Dr. Ross," he said with a grin. "But it looks like you won't get the chance." He throws her onto a house, causing it to fall all over her.
"Betty!" The poor child screamed in horrible seeing the only nice woman being toss into a house. He turns his blue, glowing glare to the monster, "You monster!"
The villain only smiles as he grabs the poor boy by his neck and then slams him against the hard concrete. Causing blood to exit out of his head while he was knocked out.
"Leader, I have the clone," Abomination said in his earpiece. "You may come now."
A second later, a huge ship appears from the sky. Abomination super jumped with the unconscious child in his hand and landed on the ship. A huge hologram of the Leader appears in front of the hero.
"Hello, my primeval green friend," The Leader greeted.
"Leader!" Hulk growled.
"Why yes! It is me here to thank you for finding the Savage Hulk for me!"
"Bring Michael back now, you freak!"
"Now, why would I do that? However, if you do want him back, then come to Sakaar, Hulk. Untied next time."
"MICHAEL!" Hulk roared as the Leader's ship exit the stratosphere then enter a wormhole. He roared in complete anger at the sky. He had just lost Michael. Again! He then hears a painful groan remembering that Betty was still there in the damaged house. "BETTY!" He hurries toward the damaged house, trying to find and freeing her from the debride. After moving a lot of brisk and wood, he finally found her and was horrified by what he sees.
"Bruce?" She whispered weakly and looked confused as well. "What? What happens? Where's Michael?"
"Betty," he has gotten on one knee and was in complete shock. Even with a wooden piece stabbing her in the gut, blood escaping from the right side of her face and mouth, she was still calm! She must be in shock or have excellent durability to be this calm still. "This is all my fault!"
"Bruce, please!" She started to breathe slowly and getting sleepy. But before she loses consciousness, she touches his cheek with her bloody right hand then kissed him on the lips. "Don't lose control. Think about your children. Laurie and Michael need you."
His anger when away once feeling her lips on his and hearing those words. It has been so long since she has kissed him. Since hearing her kind words. Like his mother, she would always believe in him when he doesn't believe in himself.
"Hulk," the green giant looked up to Hiroim and Warbounds staring at him. "We need to get her to a healer."
Hulk was shocked to see the warriors of Sakaar here. However, he needs to worry about Betty right now. He gently places his love in his arms, then hurries to the nearest hospital with the Warbounds following them.
~Present Time~
"The Abomination did this to her!" His family can't believe what happens to Betty. A-Bomb and She-Hulk didn't know much about Hulk's strongest nemesis. But the Red-Hulk knows this gamma foe pretty well cause he was the one that trains and changes him into the Abomination.
Red-Hulk:
"When I get my hands on that fish, he is going to wish that his ass stays in the bottom of the Challenger Deep!"
"Yeah, now Leader has Michael and taking him back to Sakaar," Hulk added.
"Indeed," Hiroim agreed. "With the presence of our King, the people would follow him to war if Leader commands it."
She-Hulk groaned, "And to think he was bringing the 'warriors' of Sakaar to Earth for a fight only to show that it was Blastaar and his pets that attack the S.W.O.R.D's headquarter!"
"What's the plan, Hulk?" A-Bomb asked.
Hulk looked at Betty again, remembering her speech to them. Michael and Lyra need him. For his children. And that is what he is going to do.
"I am going to Sakaar and getting my son back. Stay here."
"What?! No way, Hulk!" A-Bomb disagrees and got in front of him, blocking the green giant. "We are in this together, dude."
"Think about it?! You guys would be going up against brutal warriors. People have no problem killing and being monsters. I can't ask you guys to face the people of Sakaar, Leader, and Skaar for me."
"I own Shaggy for trying to protect my daughter, Greenie," Red added. "I am going with you to Sakaar."
"Plus, we're family, Hulk. We stick together no matter what," She-Hulk stated as well.
"Big dumbs," Hulk groaned, then nod. "Thank you, guys."
"Then come and let us take you to Sakaar," Krog said as he and the Warbound led the Agents of S.M.A.S.H to the ship.
Hulk:
"I hope you're watching this Leader cause we're going to Sakaar, and I'm getting my son back. You wait. Hulk out."
As the Agents and the Warbounds left for Sakaar, the camera zooms closer to Betty's face. Her right eye slowly opened, showing a yellow glow before she closes it while letting out a groan of exhaustion.
The door opened, then close. The spy droid turns toward the person at the entrance to show the world who it was. It's was Lyra, the Daughter of the Incredible Hulk. She was in her human form.
"Wake up, Dr. Ross," she said as she walked toward her. "Father and brother are going to need us more than ever."
A/N: I hated the name 'Skip' for Skaar in Earth-10508. Yes, I loved Bruce and Betty finally be together with their two kids- Laurie/Lyra and Skip/Skaar Banner. I even loved the moment when Grandpa-Thunderbolt Ross is playing with his grandson. Like why can't his story end like that? Living happily with his wife and two children? Still, dislike having to kill the Hulk to live a peaceful life and having Skip/Skaar be killed by his mother, who is still fucked up, by the way! But I would reread it to see another happy moment for Bruce.
Fun Fact: The deepest part of the ocean is called the Challenger Deep, located beneath the western Pacific Ocean in the southern end of the Mariana Trench.
