Introduction:

An introduction chapter was created to give an overview of the altered historical nature of this story for clarity and entertainment purposes.

The settings of this story takes place after the third season of Bridgerton, respectively.

Despite the year of Rin's presentation at court, 1817, this timeline has a blend of the different styles, daily attires and wardrobes, clichés and/or idioms, and technological and social niceties of both the Regency and the Victorian eras.

In respect to the historical relevance of the time, it is necessary to point out in this story, as it is an alternate-universe fiction, (considering that the main characters are residents of the Japanese feudal era), that its fictional locations, names and persons, and so forth are integrated as such.

With this timeline, the aggressiveness of the King's mental instabilities were somewhat delayed due to the fact that Prince Octavius, the thirteenth child of the King and Queen, lived. This allowed for the King to be more present both physically and mentally at court, with the aid of the Queen, (in reference to the show Queen Charlotte with her assistance in helping him manage his manic episodes).

Princess Amelia's sudden death in November of 1810 did not cause the permanent mental failure and derangement of the King. This however, unfortunately, occurred later in November of 1818 after the death of his beloved, the Queen. Thus, qualifying him unfit to rule.

Their eldest son, Prince George Augustus Frederick became shortly thereafter: Prince Regent. After the death of King George III in 1820, the prince was crowned King George IV, and years later Princess Victoria became Queen in 1837, (in respect to the actual timeline).

Characterizations:

Tōga (闘牙)Gushiken, 5th Duke of Wingside. Also known as, Inu no Taishō, (犬の大将). Age: 50.

Tōga's ancestor was Tokugawa Ieyasu, (Founder and first shōgun of the Tokugawa shogunate of Japan- circa 1543-1616). His 2nd ancestor was appointed the title of a Duke by the Monarch due to his military influence and services to the crown and the nation of Britain. (This is also true for Rin's family as well as other Japanese characters:)

Edo, Japan opened its ports to trade and negotiate with difference countries during the first shōgun's reign. (Instead of centuries later in 1854.) This allowed for many Japanese families, especially those of nobility, to travel and reside in different areas. Tōga's ancestors did just that and due to their military capabilities, they were granted titles and land with the Kingdom of Great Britain. Tōga, Sesshōmaru, and Inuyasha are members of Britain's army, (because, of course they would be). Tōga has recently been promoted in rank as Lieutenant colonel.

The story begins a year or so after the Battle of Waterloo, (1815) where each of them fought alongside Arthur Wellesley, Duke of Wellington, where they defeated Napoleon.

InuKimi Gushiken, former Duchess of Wingside. (Mother to Sesshōmaru). Age: 45.

Izayoi Gushiken, Duchess of Wingside. (2nd and current wife of Tōga's). Age: 38.

Sesshōmaru (せっ生しょう丸) Gushiken, 4th Marquess of Wingside and a Major in Britain's army. (1st son of Tōga's). Age: 24.

The Honorable Lord Inuyasha (犬夜叉) Gushiken of Wingside and a Captain in Britain's army. (2nd son of Tōga's, Izayoi's son). Age: 22.

Lady Rin (りん) Kaneko daughter of Aoi Kaneko and Chieko Kaneko Duke and Duchess of Ashbourne. Age: 17. Parent's ages: 44 and 55.

Lord Daisuke Kaneko, Akira Kaneko, and Fuji Kaneko. (Rin's three brothers). Ages: 24, 15, and 12.

Lady Kagome (かごめ) Fukumoto, daughter of Viscount Yuto Fukumoto and Viscountess Hana Fukumoto of Cromleigh. Age: 18.

Miroku (み 勒 ろく) Sasaki, Viscount of Northfield. Age: 25.

Sango (珊瑚) Sasaki, Viscountess of Northfield. Age: 18.

Prince Octavius of Great Britain. (Altered birth date: 1789, age: 27.) The prince is pretty much a Doppelganger of the King. (In reference to the actor from the show Queen Charlotte-Corey Mylchreest (because why not!)).

And of course, most of the Bridgerton cast as well as others listed in tags.

Enough with the introduction! On to the story :) Enjoy!
