The team was working diligently at their desks. They were trying to get their paperwork done so they could start their weekend early. Kate and Sarah had weekend spa plans and wanted to make sure they got on the road as soon as possible. Tony knew of their plans and teased them until he found himself on the receiving end of a smack to the back of the head from Gibbs. McGee tried to stay out of it and watched from his desk.
The sound of the elevator caught the team's attention. They noticed Fornell step out with another suited agent behind him. From the look on Fornell's face, Gibbs could tell it was not a social call. They approached Sarah's desk and stopped. She looked up from her file and raised an eyebrow.
"Sarah, you need to come with us."
"What for, Fornell?" She then noticed the stern look on his face. She sighed and stood up.
"I'd leave your weapons here."
"Wait, you serious? What is going on?" She pulled her knives out of her waistband and boot and set them in the top drawer with her gun and ID.
"Fornell, what is going on?" Kate stood up from her desk to see around the men.
"Tobias." Gibbs tried to get Fornell's attention. Fornell pulled out a pair of handcuffs.
"Sarah Wallace, you are under arrest for murder." Her face did not hide her confusion as she was read her rights. Color drained from her face.
"Fornell, what the hell?" Tony stood up and dropped his file.
"I cannot say any more until we get to Langely," he said as he turned toward Gibbs. "I'm sorry, Sarah, but this has to be done." She stood as the other agent cuffed her wrists behind her back.
"Gibbs," she called out as Fornell and the other agent led her to the elevator. They could all see the confusion in her face and the panic in her eyes from the situation.
"We are gonna find out what is going on, Sare." He waited for the elevator doors to close. He turned to the team. "McGee, see what you can find. Kate, see if your friend at the FBI can get any answers. DiNozzo." He paused. "Use that charm with the woman you met last week."
"On it, Boss." Tony grabbed his phone and sat down at his desk. McGee had already started typing at his computer. Kate was already on the phone. Gibbs shook his head and sighed before heading up to see Director Morrow about the situation.
