Chapter 22:

Everyone opened their eyes, now seeing they were back in the room. They all took their hands off the Symbiote's head, and began to look outside to see it was still day.

Jaune then looked at his scroll to see the time and says, "Huh, it's 11:00 in the morning, I thought it would be around 3:00 by now."

"Told you time went by quickly in there." The Symbiote told everyone as it started to crawl towards the vent. "Now if you all will excuse me, I'm going to steal all the chocolate I can find."

"Wait a minute…..you were the one stealing the chocolate chips every time I ask Ren to make me chocolate chip pancakes!" Nora points at the Symbiote as it got to the vent.

"…….. You'll never take me alive!" the Symbiote said as it crawled extremely fast into the vent, going who knows where.

"I told you I didn't eat the chocolate, I told you!" Nora sticks her tongue out at Ren.

"Well you appear to be right Nora, I apologize for accusing you." Ren replied.

"Well, that was a lot to take in." Weiss sighs as she sat on her bad, "And now we have some alien crawling in the vents of Beacon. Why would Ozpin even allow that thing the freedom to do so?!"

"That's a very good question." Yang agreed, "Why would he?"

"Peter did beat it before, maybe he knows if it does anything then he can stop it?" Pyrrha guessed.

"Yeah! We all saw what it showed us, Peter beat it and got it off that guy." Ruby reminded everyone. "And before that he got it off himself too."

"That is true, the battle they both had inside Peter's mind was…..very uncanny." Blake points out, the memory of Spider-Man and The Symbiote's first fight reminding her of the book she was reading a while back. "But he only won by using that gene cleanser, I don't want to say it, but…"

"Peter isn't strong enough to beat the alien in an one on one confrontation." Yang finished Blake's sentence.

"That would explain the truce. The alien needs a host, and if it can choose anyone, then Peter must have believed that he had no choice but to be that host again." Ren assumed

"Wait, from what we saw, it resides in Pete's body. Wouldn't that feel weird?" Jaune asks

"I bet it feels slimy, it looks like living liquid." Nora guessed.

Everyone shudders at this, only imagining how that would feel. Especially Weiss when she recalled the memory of trying to hit Peter with her binder only for a tendril, which she now knew was the alien, grabbing her arm.

"Ok, do not give us any ideas!" Weiss shouts at Nora, rubbing her arm as she does so.

"I mean, she isn't wrong, didn't we all get grabbed or hit by those weird tendrils before at one point?" Yang agreed with Nora.

"Ok stop, just stop." Weiss cried out, "Can we just focus on what to do now?"

"What do you mean Weiss?" Ruby asked.

"The red one is gone, thank the gods for that. But we now have to worry about the parent. We can't just expect for things to go back to normal, can't we?"

Everyone stayed silent, for Team JNPR, the knowledge they now had about Peter and the Venom Symbiote made them think about how they would speak to Peter. There was a lot to ask him now, him being a genetically modified superhero, the ancient alien that supposedly consumed entire worlds with the rest of it's kind, and the fact they both aren't from Remnant.

For team RWBY, the main question was how they would address the symbiote remaining here. Carnage had left quite an influence on them. The memories of it's laughter and taunts fresh in their minds. The knowledge of the aliens being able to bypass their aura made them extremely fearful of the aliens as well.

Deciding to break the silence was Ruby, "Things don't exactly have to change entirely."

"What do you mean?" Yang and Weiss both asked at the same time, Yang filled with curiosity while Weiss was more skeptical.

"Well, Peter and the alien aren't the same. They are both different….. people? What I mean is, we can now understand Peter a bit better now." Ruby answered.

"And what about that alien? You think we should just do the same?" Weiss scoffed.

"Well, yes?" Ruby replied.

"Ok that is just absu-" Weiss tried to object, but Blake covered her mouth, giving Ruby the a nod as a way to tell her to continue.

"Well, the uh, Venom symbiote and Carnage don't act the same. From what we saw, Venom was more angry and bitter, it only went after Peter when it felt like it was betrayed. And after their truce, it now seems less angry, and more grumpy. I think Peter and the alien are getting along now. It was probably all a big misunderstanding." Ruby explained. "But from Carnage, which was really horrifying, all ever spoke last night was about how it would eat us. It sounded like it enjoyed saying all that too. I don't want to imagine how the people it did eat felt when they died."

"Yeah, it just gloated." Yang cut in, "It laughed, taunting us. I don't think it ever took us seriously, just toying with us."

"That sounded like a horrible experience." Pyrrha said, trying to sympathize with the girls.

"How do we know that that thing aren't the same? Remember that the alien said it once did the exact same thing before? What makes you think they aren't just acting." Weiss countered.

"If that was true, then why did it call it's father weak?" Blake asked.

"Excuse me?"

"Remember, when we were fighting that monster, it called it's father weak for protecting a "Inferiors species". And from what we all know now, we are all considered prey to those aliens. Not only that, but the mysterious deaths only started appearing way long after Spider-Man started to appear. It is quite possible the alien is telling the truth about seeking symbiosis." Blake spoke out her thoughts.

"Do you really believe that?" Weiss asked.

"I want to believe it, I doubt any of us want an alien, that is near impossible to destroy, to cause havoc. Besides, we were also given info on how to destroy it, or at least weaken it by the alien themselves." Blake reminded everyone.

"Oh yeah! The fire that comes off of me when I use my semblance! If I train hard enough, then I can turn myself into the perfect counter against it." Yang smirked.

"And there is also sound, from Peter's memory, high frequency vibrations make it unstable as well." Ren points out.

"Loud sounds…..wait a minute!" Ruby then remembered.

"What is it Rubes? Did you think of something?" Yang asked.

"Remember when we fought Roman Torchwick in that mech? He used a loud sound that hurt Blake's ears!" Ruby reminded her team.

"Please don't remind me." Blake rubbed her ears, "Wait, does that mean that criminal knows about the alien?" Blake asked nervously.

"I don't think so, since none of us except Professor Ozpin and Ms. Goodwitch knew about Peter's secret, then that info would be kept under wraps. It's more likely that the alien must have took shape as Peter's suit and in one of his times out there fighting crime. Maybe some of the White Fang found out about this weakness and more likely assumed it was Spider-Man's "semblance", and used it to their advantage." Weiss guessed correctly.

"That still isn't a good thing though, right?" Jaune spoke out, "Wouldn't that leave Pete vulnerable. Not that I don't think Pete can't handle himself, but what if there was a situation where Pete needs help and the alien is weakened?"

"I think Peter can handle himself just fine. The main concern I have is that alien being here." Weiss said with a sour expression.

"Then we keep an eye out on it, without a host, it can't do much right? So we just be careful and ask Peter what he knows so we can be careful. And like Yang said, she can use her semblance if needed. Oh! It also said it owed Yang for saving it and Peter, so maybe it will keep its word." Ruby suggested.

"Still, I don't trust it."

"We don't have to trust it, just monitor it. Maybe Ozpin has been doing that ever since Peter started to attend Beacon." Ruby pointed out.

"That would explain why Peter didn't get kicked out. It was weird that Ozpin let him stay despite being the odd one out." Ren points out.

"Maybe we should discuss it with Peter when he is up. That way, we can fully discuss a proper way to deal with this odd situation." Pyrrha suggested.

"Fine, but when he has fully recovered, he has a lot of explaining to do. Now then, Blake, I think that's your queue to check on him?" Weiss asked.

"I guess so, I'll be back then." Blake replied as she left, now thinking about how to confront Peter if he was up.

As she left, the others just stood in silence, not sure what to do now. Until Jaune decided to speak.

"So…..the dance?"

"What about the dance?" Yang asked.

Weiss was about to say for the hundredth time that she wasn't interested, until Pyrrha spoke before her.

"Jaune asked me out and I said yes." Pyrrha said with a bright smile, her checks slightly pink from saying.

"Finally! I was hoping you two go together! I'm so happy for you two!" Ruby squealed as she hugged the two.

"I know right? Took way too long." Nora snorts.

"What?" the couple said with confused looks as Ruby released the two from the hug.

"It was kind of obvious Pyrrha had a crush on you dude. We just wondered when you would realize." Yang smirked.

"Well, I uh…." Jaune stuttered in embarrassment, "Well, you can thank Peter for that, he sort of helped me figure things out."

"You know, Peter confronted me about me and you a while back." Pyrrha said, getting everyone's attention, "He said he noticed me staring at Jaune a lot and said he would help me…get your attention." Pyrrha said as she turned even more red, Jaune now hiding his face with his hands.

"Oh gods, Peter is an evil mastermind." Jaune muttered.

Ruby and Team JNPR talked amongst themselves, Weiss just stared at them in disbelief, "How did we go from discussing about a potential alien threat to this?"

Yang then sat next to her, laughing a bit, "I don't know Weiss cream, but at least we all have something positive to talk about right now. We kind of need it."

Weiss just groans in frustration, "Ugh, I just hope that dolt can recover soon enough for us to talk to him. Seriously, what should we do?"

"I don't know." Yang sighs, "But hey, the worst part is over at least. Pete will have the answers, I just know it."

"I hope your right Yang, I really do."

/

Blake arrived at the nurses office Peter was resting, just as she was about to open the door, Ozpin reveals himself as he opens the door himself.

"Hello Professor Ozpin, I came to check on Peter." Blake greeted the headmaster.

"Good morning Miss Belladonna, Young Parker is still asleep. I assume you will wait by his side until he wakes up?" Ozpin asked the feline faunus.

"Yes sir, if that is alright with you." Blake replied.

"Alright then, I leave you be." Ozpin nodded as he left. But just before he did, he turned around and asked, "I assume the alien revealed the truth about where it and Peter came from?"

"Yes sir, it was……. A lot to process. I believe all that's left is to hear it from Peter." Blake answered. She then asks, "Professor, what do you know about it's, behavior."

"Well, let's just say it isn't exactly polite. Although it's behavior has slightly improved since I first met it. I believe we have Peter to thank for that." Ozpin replied.

"I see, thank you for your answer sir." Blake thank the old man as he nodded in response and left.

Blake then closed the door and locked as to make sure no one would come in and disturb Peter. She then walked towards Peter was resting, sitting down next to him.

Blake at Peter, now fully noticing that his costume had ripped to shreds. His mask was practically gone, the right side of it barely held together by one string of fabric, and the top half gone, the only thing left behind the bottom half of his costume remaining. Blake then looked to see his body, now we seeing the collection of scars, both old and new, showing the amount of damage his body had sustained from his time as a vigilante.

Blake took a moment to breathe, still thinking about how she would speak to Peter. She wanted to ask so many questions, wanted to hear the truth from him. But she had to wait and let Peter speak when he was ready.

Things were silent for a little while. Blake would constantly be watching Peter, still waiting for him to wake up. After a bit, Blake would notice Peter starting to shake slightly while asleep, now breathing heavily. Taking a moment to look at Peter again, Blake noticed he looked extremely scared despite being asleep, a combination of hearing his heavy breathing and his body starting to shake, his hands now twitching. Peter then started to speak in his sleep, the fear resonating from his voice.

"The alien was right, he is having a nightmare." Blake thought.

Peter started to sweat as he started to move, shaking his own head and left and right. Eventually, Peter then woke up from his nightmares, screaming as he did so.

"NO!" Peter screamed as he woke up, now sitting straight up as he continued to breathe heavily.

"Peter, it's ok, it's ok. Your safe." Blake told Peter as she put own hand on his, trying to calm him down, "That monster is gone now, you don't have to worry, and we're safe thanks to you."

Peter didn't respond, he was still breathing heavily, the nightmare he endured still having a hold on him.

"Peter, calm down, just breathe, breath." Blake continued to try and get him to compose himself.

Slowly but surely, Peter started to calm down, his breathing slowing down. He looks down looking at his torn suit and healed wounds. He then remembered the events of last night, now remembering that they had won, albeit barely.

"It's over, it's over isn't it." Peter said as he put his head in his hands.

"Peter?" Blake simply said his name to get his attention.

Peter turns to Blake, seeing her worried expression, and for a moment saw the expression of horror and disgust he saw before almost being assimilated.

"Peter.."

"Blake? Where are the others? Is everyone ok?" Peter asked, snapping back to reality.

"They are with team JNPR, the alien….. showed all of us everything." Blake decided to cut to the chase about the symbiote.

"All of you? What did it show you?" Peter asked, surprised that the Symbiote did so.

"Yes, it was…… a lot to process after what we saw. Your memories, specifically the ones about how you became Spider-Man and your history with that creature." Blake explained.

"So you know, the whole truth about who I am, and about..."

"Venom, yes." Blake finished Peter's sentence.

"I call the Symbiote Symbie to annoy them. So, you also know about the spider bite and who made the spider?" Peter decided to ask, testing to see if the Symbiote actually did show her and everyone else his memories.

"Dr. Curt Connors, I'll be honest, he is quite a brilliant scientist to be able to create such things." Blake answered.

That was enough for Peter to know for sure, "Yeah, he is." Is all Peter could say, not sure where to drag this conversation to.

Things stayed silent for a bit, both teens unsure of what to say next. Blake then took another look at Peter's body, staring at his scars. The amount of scars where extremely worrisome.

Blake then asks, "How many times, how many times have you gotten so close to…." But Blake didn't finish that question, not wanting to fully acknowledge just how to close Peter could have died, especially how close he came to dying last night.

"Dying, a lot more than I can count. It's just comes with the job." Peter answered. "I assume the Symbiote showed you memories of some of my rogues gallery back….home." Peter says, saying the last part with a hint of longing in his voice.

Blake simply nodded, the answer just making her more worried on how he sounded used to getting so close to death.

Blake decided to ask, "Peter, how do you feel. And I don't mean physically."

"What do you mean? I'm ok, re-."

"Peter, don't lie, I just saw you have a panic attack. Not to mention Yang pointed out just how scared and paranoid you were looking the past week. And with what the alien showed us all, you went through a lot. And I doubt you ever took the time to just talk about it with anyone." Blake interrupted Peter, "So please, just talk to me."

"I, I ……" Peter stuttered, he wanted to just deny it like he had been doing for so long. But deep down, he knew she was right. Before, He didn't want to involve anyone out of fear for their safety. But right now, the people he cares about here can take care of themselves well. "Maybe, maybe I can talk to them, for real this time. The Symbiote really did show them my memories, although I did not ask it to. Well, here goes…."

With how long Peter was taking to answer, Blake felt like he was just going to stay silent. She was about to get up until Peter says…..

"Tired."

"Hmm?"

"I feel tired Blake, I feel scared, guilty, paranoid, a whole lot of stuff. It's hard being me sometimes, when I first got my powers I got selfish. Did the Symbiote show you that and what transpired later too right?" Peter asked, Blake nodding in response, "Then you know why I choose to be Spider-Man. Then I tried handling my life as Peter Parker and Spider-Man, and messed things up. I ended up letting the few friends I had down. Every time I won as Spider-Man, I lost as Peter Parker. And don't get me started on the Symbiote."

"From what we all saw, you lost a brother because of it." Blake reminded him and herself of the memory.

"Yeah, Eddie. I looked up to him a lot. Kind of like how Ruby looks up to Yang. But I failed to save him from his own anger. Sure, I got the Symbiote off of him multiple times, but he always went back for it. Power does have a way to corrupt someone, hell the Symbiote almost did with me." Peter explained.

"But you prevailed. You overcame it's control." Blake reminded Peter.

"Yeah, but I failed to destroy it. And a lot of people almost got hurt because of that. I'm just glad it never ate anyone, it was only focused on trying to destroy me when it was bonded with Eddie." Peter said, the part about the Symbiote never eating anyone getting Blake intrigued from that info.

"And then after Venom was practically gone for a while, I had to deal with so much. More supervillains, accidentally killing my best friends dad, and I messed up even more with my friends." Peter continued.

"What do you mean by accidentally killing someone?" Blake asked, "When the alien showed us your memory of making a truce with it, we heard your memory self mention that."

"Long story short, me and this supervillain called The Green Goblin had this huge battle over the entire city of New York, which is the city I was born in on my world. I had to not only fight him, but an entire gang of criminals wearing pumpkin heads, I think he was assembling some goblin nation or something." Peter added.

"That sounds like a very tiring battle." Blake guessed.

"It was, I spent weeks trying to hunt the Goblin down. Didn't get much sleep or anything to eat. Eventually, during our final fight, I was able to take off his mask and I saw the man behind it. The man turned out be the dad of my best friend, and after he and I continued to fight as he practically monologuing bout his success. He talked about how he enhanced himself with a drug to make himself smarter and stronger, how he became the new big man of crime after I took the previous one called Tombstone down, and how he framed his own son to be the Goblin." Peter explained.

"He framed his own son? How could he do such a thing?!" Blake asked with a shocked expression.

"Yep, in a previous battle, I was narrowing his identity down and he knew it. So one day, from what I can assume, he found his son, my best friend Harry, passed out from using a more unstable liquid version of the drug that he stole. And put the costume on him, so when I came and found the Goblin, it would look like I caught him during an episode of drug abuse. And he just came in the room, out of costume, looking like he had no idea what was going on. He tricked me, made me leave so I wouldn't reveal who the goblin was just so he could keep his son "safe". So after I put the pieces together during our last battle, I got angry, I destroyed his glider that he used to fly over the city, and he crashed into a water tower that was filled with a bunch of bombs and he blew up." Peter finished.

"I don't think you meant to, you didn't know that would happen." Blake said, trying to get Peter to not blame himself even more.

"Maybe, but Harry didn't think so, especially since he was piloting a helicopter as he followed me and the Goblin during that fight. When I attended his dad's, he believed his dad needed help, and that Spider-Man should have helped him. That was practically the last time I spoke to him." Peter finished.

"Why? Didn't you try to talk to him? At least try to comfort him?" Blake asked.

"I felt guilty, I didn't know what to say or what to do. And after the Goblin's death, the Six broke out and committed a bunch of crime spree's along with so many other criminals thanks to the power vacuum I made, I didn't get much time to be Peter Parker, to be just a regular person. I made things worse, and then even more worse. Heck I made a truce with the Symbiote! How low could I get at that point?" Peter almost yelled in frustration at himself, "Then I go fight the Six one last time, machine go boom and then I'm stuck here."

"Do you miss your home?" Blake asked.

"I do. Look, you guys are great, and I'm glad I met you all. But sometimes when I wake up, I hope to suddenly be back home. Sometimes I miss just being a regular guy, but I can't just go back. Too much as changed for me to do so, I can't stop being Spider-Man, not anymore." Peter replied, "I'm sorry of that hurts your feelings, I just miss my old life."

"It's ok, I don't blame you, I would probably feel the same as you. But that doesn't mean this world can't be your home too. You have us." Blake said as she continued to hold Peter's hand.

"That means a lot, I guess I still need time to move on." Peter said, grateful for Blake's understanding.

"Peter, if I may ask, when did you find out about Carnage's existence." Blake asked, the question making both teens shiver.

"It was…around the same time you guys fought Roman in that mech. I was looking around the shady parts of Vale to look for any leads about Torchwick until I heard screaming. It came from that abandoned warehouse. When I got there it was eating a poor guys organs." Peter answered.

"By god's, that sounds disturbing." Blake shudders.

"It was." Peter said, the look on his face a combination of disgust and fear. "I was so scared when I found out there was another alien symbiote, but what was more terrifying was that the Venom Symbiote was terrified."

"Wait, the alien was scared of it's own offspring?" Blake asked.

"Yup, it didn't speak, didn't make any rhetorical remarks, or even shout in anger to destroy it or fight. It just stayed silent, that was a sign that things were going to go bad. Hell, V just froze up until I almost got absorbed by that thing. Thankfully it snapped out of it's fearful state and got into suit form and we where winning, the plan was for Venom to eat it until some of those Atlesian Knights came in and interrupted us. It got away after fire consumed the area. I'm just glad we were able to prevent it from escaping last night for the fire to do it's job this time." Peter explained, "But the first battle left me paranoid and scared, heck I ended up doing the same exact thing of not resting in order to hunt it down like the Goblin. Only this time I almost got us all killed. And the worst part is fighting, it last night was a reality check for me."

"What do you mean?" Blake asked with confusion.

"I realized the Symbiote was holding back this entire time. It was more powerful than I could ever realize and could have killed me whenever it wanted. I think the only reason why it didn't was because it had some form of conscious or something. Maybe it inherited parts of my personality, I don't know, I'm just lucky I ended up being some form of good influence for it." Peter assumed, "Either way, I just messed up again, I could have made a better plan, could have gotten rested, but I let my stubbornness get in the way and almost got the closest thing we have to a good alien and all you killed. This is all my fault."

"No it wasn't. And before can argue, no, you didn't know any of this would happen, you made a truce in order to protect the people you care about." Blake told.

"But I still messed u-"

"We all make mistakes Peter, but you still try to fix them. I wished I could do the same instead of run away. I could have done more to stop the White Fang, but I didn't, I ran. Maybe you did make a mistake in having that truce. But you were able to cooperate with such a monster and try to fight it's offspring to protect everyone. Look, we both know people died because of that thing now, but you didn't kill them. You save lives, you inspire everyone, you inspired me to come to Beacon. So please, don't blame yourself for everything, and if you need help, come to us. We can help you, you know that right. So please, let us help, we know why you do what you do. We all care about you." Blake said with a warm smile.

"Thanks, and I'll try to remember that." Peter returned her smile with a slightly tired one. "So what now?"

"I guess, we take the day to take a well deserved break. I think we all need it." Blake answered.

"You're not going to do more investigation on Torchwick? That's what you've been doing while I was hunting down…you know." Peter asked.

"No, Yang talked me out of it. I understand very well why you wanted to hunt that monster down, I get it." Blake began to speak, "I wanted to hunt down Roman so I could find out why he was working with the White Fang. I wanted to stop them so nobody else would die. Especially since they have a way to obtain powerful weapons, weapons they can use against you. But Yang made a few points about how driving myself to exhaustion will get me killed. I just wished we got to you before you left so we could have talked. The very points she made almost came to fruition last night, and I thought we lost you."

"Well, at least we got lucky and the red Klyntar is gone. Now I can rest much easier and take a quick break. And thanks for understanding me, it's just like you said. People were dying in the most gruesome ways and I was frustrated that I couldn't do anything."

Blake smiles as, glad to see Peter feel more relaxed at the moment, but then she decided to ask about the Symbiote, "Speaking of Klyntar, may I ask about the Venom Symbiote? Has it showed any changes in it's behavior. Is it…. More docile than it was before?" Blake asked wondering what Peter's plan was for dealing with it.

"I bet you're asking if we have to worry about it causing destruction, right?" Peter asked, getting a nod from Blake. "Well, it's more…. Tolerable. The Symbiote can be extremely rude, by a lot. But it's way less aggressive than before, especially after getting it's required Phenethylamine intake. And while it does eat way too much chocolate for my wallet's take, the more it eats, the more docile it tends to be. That and I think it has a sugar addiction." Peter quipped.

"Well that would explain where our snacks containing chocolate goes. So the more of that chemical it gets, the less aggressive it is?" Blake asked.

"And sane, yeah. They only thing that bothers me is why it's offspring wasn't sane. Another way it can get that chemical is through eating brains. That's what it's offspring did the past few months. But the Symbiote never ate anyone, not even back on my world." Peter replied.

"So that means one of two things, either it was lying about needing that chemical..."

"Or a Klyntar that sinister is their version of sane. Which doesn't make me feel better." Peter finished Blake's sentence. "And with the latter being more likely, it means the Symbiote is different from the rest."

"Do you believe that?" Blake asked the same question Weiss asked her.

"I hope it's true, besides, like I said Venom has become more docile, sure it needs more lessons in manners, but they are way better than Carnage that's for sure." Peter answered.

"So, what's your plan for it then?" Blake asked.

"I do what I have been doing by myself during this truce. Try to get along with it, which has been working. I've noticed it has grown a soft spot for the innocent. The Symbiote will deny it, but I know it's true. Just feed it chocolate and try to teach it about morality and we might be able to make it more friendly." Peter replied.

"With how often chocolate is mentioned, it really might have a chocolate addiction. But if it does have the chemical it needs to make it docile than it's worth it, better than the alternative." Blake points out.

"Yup, we can all plan out a way to keep it from becoming a supervillain again later. Besides, bribing it with chocolate is basically the best way to keep it docile. No seriously, that's what I do. Where do you think most of my budget goes to?" Peter replied.

"Well, let's just hope Nora and Ruby both agree to that." Blake slightly chuckles.

"I think we should make sure Nora and the Symbiote aren't left in the same room together. If I had a way to describe them both, it would be the living embodiment of intrusive thoughts." Peter chuckles. "Seriously, Venom has now become a annoying mischievous gremlin. Remember when no one could figure out who played that tar and feathers prank on Weiss last month?"

"No…. you're kidding." Blake ask with slight surprise in her tone.

"Yup, that was the Symbiote. It doesn't like her that much. It's probably because everyone's first impression of her is her loud voice. Don't tell her that." Peter chuckles.

"How did it even get those items?" Blake asked.

"I'll be honest, no idea. From its own words, "I don't follow any rules, not of nature or of physics." So yeah, if you're worried of Venom, just bribe it with chocolate. The worst it has done now is play all those mysterious pranks on people, mostly Weiss. Better than causing destructive chaos. And if it makes you all comfortable, I am able to easily grab it and stuff it in a jar as timeout." Peter replied.

"For such a powerful alien, a simple closed jar can stop it. That's good at least." Blake sighs, "By the way, the alien said it was going to go eat chocolate if you're wondering where it is."

"Ah, so either it's in the cafeteria vents, or it went to Team JNPR's room to steal Nora's chocolate chips again." Peter guessed.

Peter than decided he wanted to get up and change by spotting his backpack across the room. "Thank God, someone must have got it went I passed out last night."

But as Peter got up, he stumbled slightly as he tried to stand, Blake immediately helping him up. "Peter, you should rest for a bit longer, you're still recovering."

"Yeah, I know, I just need to change…..my clothes are in my backpack." Peter said nervously, pointing towards his backpack.

"Oh!" Blake responded as she blushed, now reminded that Peter was still half naked. "Here, just change and call me when you're done. I'll be outside." Blake said as she quickly handed Peter his backpack and left the room.

A few minutes later, Peter put on his clothes again and called out for Blake, "Ok, I'm done!" Peter said as Blake entered the room. "Look, I know I need to rest, but I'm extremely hungry right now. Think you could help me get to the cafeteria?"

"How about I help you get to our kitchen dorm? That way you can eat and maybe we can talk to the others, if you want to. You can take your time if you're not ready." Blake proposed.

"Actually, that would probably be best. Besides, I can't avoid them forever, and they deserve to hear the truth from me." Peter agreed.

Blake then walked towards Peter and offered her hands as she helped Peter leave, both now headed towards their dorm.

As they walked, Peter hoped they would also be understanding.

"They're my friends, they'll understand. I don't have anything to worry about, not anymore."

/

Around an hour later, Peter was in the kitchen of Team RWBY's dorm, eating and extremely large amount of food. Everyone watched as Peter downed everything extremely fast.

"Ok, how are you eating all that? Where does it even go?" Weiss asked, dumbfounded by how much Peter was currently.

"Enhanced Metabolism." Yang answered for Peter, "Lucky….."

"Sorry, I just haven't eaten in a week." Peter said in between bites, "I have been running on fumes for a while."

"Dude, how haven't you collapsed by now? Not eating for that long can't be good for you." Jaune asked.

"Nope, but I was just extremely paranoid since I discovered Carnage's existence." Peter answered, a brief silence taking over from the mention of the Crimson Symbiote.

"Well, good riddance to that monstrosity. But you should have told us. We could have helped." Weiss slightly scolded.

"I was afraid of losing you guys to it. And I was the only one with experience fighting and alien symbiote. Although it turned out to be useless." Peter sighs. "I'm sorry you four had to fight that thing while I was almost assimilated by it."

"Don't be! You were just trying to save the day like you always do!" Ruby spoke up, "And we will always be there to help you, you're our friend."

"Thanks, that means a lot. I'll talk to you guys from now on, for real this time." Peter promised.

"You better keep that promise this time." Weiss deadpanned, "But seriously, please keep that promise." Weiss spoke in a softer tone, Peter nodding as he finished his food.

"If I may ask, what exactly is the plan with this Venom Symbiote? That creature is currently in the vents of this school, should we be worried?" Ren asked.

"That part is complicated, I have made a truce with the Symbiote, and as long as it gets chocolate for it's Phenethylamine to stay satiated then we should be fine. And like I told Blake, we can stuff in a jar for time out, or just bribe it with chocolate. By the way Nora, I'd check your chocolate chip stash." Peter told the red head.

"Wait, what?!" Nora shouts as she immediately left to Team JNPR's dorm.

A few seconds later and everyone can hear Nora shout in frustration, which clearly was because her chocolate chips were gone, again.

Now coming inside back to the room, everyone could see Nora with a grumpy face on, she then says, "That alien stole my chocolate!"

"I will always steal your chocolate, and no one can stop me!" Everyone heard the voice of the Symbiote coming from the vent in the kitchen.

"Why am I not surprised." Peter deadpanned, "Hey Symbie, think you could leave Nora's chocolate alone, I already spend most of my budget on you already."

"……Nope!" The Symbiote replied as it began to let out a mischievous laugh as it disappeared further into the vents.

"Well, that happened." Pyrrha said nervously, "I think it heard our conversation."

"It did, the Symbiote is always watching. It has been observing you guys ever since I met you all." Peter explained.

"What?" Weiss asked, her expression breaking from what Peter meant.

"Is there a reason for doing so? What does it know?" Blake asked, just as nervous as everyone else.

"To figure out if you guys are a threat to it. And if you're all wondering, Yang is the only threat to it." Peter said as he faced Yang, "The fire that comes off of you when you use your semblance can actually hurt it. So hey, you have a chance."

"Huh, cool, so I can actually fight it and it owes me a favor." Yang smirked.

"Wait? It owes you a favor?" Peter asked with a confused expression.

"Turns out, when I landed a punch fueled by my semblance on that red monster, the alien said I actually weakened it. Which apparently gave both of you a chance to escape and give that thing a serious beat down." Yang said, the smirk on her face still remaining.

"Well what do you know, never thought I would hear such a thing. The Symbiote usually likes taking credit when it feels like it deserves it, which is most of the time. So congrats Yang, guess I owe you as well." Peter chuckles.

"I'll hold you to it."

"While that's lovely and all, but can we focus on that alien observing us to see if we are a threat. That can not be a good thing!" Weiss shouts.

"Calm down Weiss, as long as you don't antagonize it, it won't hurt you. The worst it will do now when provoked is mess with you. Which, now that you all know it exists, it will definitely do that." Peter brushed off Weiss concerns.

"What do you mean by that Pete?" Jaune asked.

Peter sighs out of a slight frustration, "Nowadays, the Symbiote's take of revenge on me is being a little gremlin. Sometimes it likes making rhetorical remarks, be slightly rude, or play a prank on me. Heck, it has actually messed with Oz once by eating his coffee mug. It likes to mess around like a undisciplined toddler."

"That…. Doesn't seem that bad. So it just needs some guidance?" Ruby asked.

"Guidance in morality. From what I know, it's species wasn't created with the intent to develop emotions or a consciousness. My guess from what it can do and how adaptive Venom and Carnage are, the Klyntar race could have been created as living weapons." Peter guessed, unaware of how correct he was.

"The idea of an alien species being created to be weapons is extremely terrifying. And from what the alien showed us from your memories, just one of those things are extremely destructive." Ren summed up.

"Not ok with the Symbiote doing that, but yeah, Venom can be destructive. And Carnage, well……. the name is self explanatory." Peter groaned.

"Stupid name if you ask me!" Everyone heard the Symbiote speak from the vent again.

"So is yours!" Peter called out.

"No it's not!" The Symbiote responds.

"Yes it is!"

And then the Symbiote responded by letting out a bunch of screeches and slight roars, speaking in it's native language so Peter would be the only one to understand since The Symbiote taught it's host to understand it.

"For the record, it said something crud, which means it has no comeback." Peter smirked.

"Wait, you can actually understand it? How?" Blake asked.

"The Symbiote put the knowledge of it's native language into my own brain, and FYI, it's mostly crude language." Peter answered.

"Ok, ignoring the fact the alien is eavesdropping. I think we all have a question we are all dying to know." Yang said, about to ask the question until Nora said it herself.

"What's it like having an alien inside you?" Nora asked in such a weird way.

"Nora, you could have worded that better." Jaune groaned.

"What? We're all wondering too. Where does it go? And how does it allow you to use those weird tentacles?" Nora continued to ask, the others groaning on how she kept wording her questions.

"Well…..I….huh. Well to answer where it resides in my body, It bonds to my Nervous System, basically attaching to my brain and all my nerves in my entire body." Peter began to explained. "For the abilities, the Symbiote kind of exits through my skin, and depending on what it chooses to do, it can form tendrils or go into suit form. As for how it feels, well it doesn't really feel like anything now that I think about it."

"You don't fell anything, that doesn't exactly make sense." Weiss deadpanned, "How do you not feel that thing moving inside your own body? Especially if it's literally inside your head?!" Weiss shudders.

"I don't know, heck the first time it bonded to me I didn't even notice it in suit form until I took a look in my reflection in a window on the side of a large building. It just doesn't feel odd, but at the same time it doesn't feel normal either. The best I can describe it is to when I wear glasses and I just tune out the feeling." Peter answered.

"This is so confusing, how does that even work?" Ruby sighs, having trouble understanding what Peter meant.

"I'm still figuring out what the Symbiote is capable of. It's existence is an enigma." Peter stated.

"What I am and what I have seen could not be fathomed by any of you eukaryotic beings." The Symbiote said as it poked its head out the vent.

"Ugh! Can you stop that! It's unnerving being in the same building as you!" Weiss shouts.

"Screw you, I do what I want!" The Symbiote shouts as it and Weiss started arguing with one another.

Peter just has a blank expression on his face as he slowly got up, and pulled out a jar from his backpack. The others watch as Peter walked towards the wall, crawled up towards the vent, and grabbed the Symbiote by the neck and stuff it in the jar, closing it tight. Peter then got back down and put the jar inside his backpack.

Everyone just looked at Peter dumbfounded by the act and how nonchalantly he did the action.

"Like I said, timeout." Peter said as kept the blank expression.

"God damnit Parker! Let me out of here! And of course you have a chocolate bar out of my reach, Parker!" Everyone heard the muffled voice of the Symbiote coming from Peter's backpack.

"Well, guess we don't have to worry all too much about the alien." Pyrrha said as everyone just starred at the backpack for a few moments, "But wouldn't you have to worry about what it does once it gets out?"

"Like I said multiple times, bribe it with chocolate, am I right Symbiote?" Peter asked the alien.

"………….No comment." The Symbiote grunts.

"Point, proven. So is there anything else you guys need to know about the living ooze there? Because I probably know as much as you guys do by now." Peter asked.

"No, I don't think so. I believe we are done with questions right now." Yang responds.

"If anything, we need a break from talking about the alien and something else to take about." Blake added.

"Ok, what else do you guys want to talk about?" Peter asked.

"Oh! I know! Now that we got the alien stuff out of the way…" Ruby said as she got everyone's attention. She then takes a deep breath and, "You're Spider-Man! That's so awesome!" Ruby shouts with enthusiasm. "I grew up with Yang telling me so many stories about superheroes and I idealized how selfless they were! And then one day you show up, a real life superhero! When you're fighting bad guys you're like pow! And wacha! and blam! Youarethebestsuperheroeverandit'ssocoolthatasuperherohasbeengivingmeadviceandnowI'membarrassedbecauseIshowedyoumySpideycollection!" Ruby ranted as she hit her head on the table out of embarrassment.

Yang laughed as she patted Ruby and the head, "It's true, Rubes here looks up to you as inspiration. You should have seen how much happy she was when she came home with your autograph. And the first night in Beacon as a team Weiss found out about it and was so surprised she had it. I think she's jealous about it."

"No I'm not!" Weiss shouts as her checks turned red slightly.

"What ever you say Ice queen. But you have to admit you thought Spidey is cool, and that means you think Pete is cool." Yang grinned.

"……I respect you as a hero." Weiss quickly said to Peter as she looked away.

"Thanks, that means a lot. So, none of you are disappointed that I'm the web-head?" Peter asked.

"You're kidding right, you're like an inspiration dude. Everyone thinks you're the best superhero that has ever existed." Jaune said to Peter.

"I'm technically the only Super hero." Peter pointed out.

"Still the best. I just can't believe my best friend is Spider-man. That's just awesome." Jaune replied.

"How do your powers work? And if you aren't from Remnant than does that make you an alien too?" Nora asked.

"Oh! Please tell us! What can you do on your own, besides shooting webs, Yang already told us about your web-shooters. Oh! And can I make some modifications to them? Please!" Ruby asked with puppy dog eyes.

"You know what, sure, my web-shooters have been trashed so I am going to need to make new web-shooters and a new suit. So in the meantime I might have to rely on the Symbiote to pretend to be my suit until then" Peter responds.

"Yes! Oh I have so many ideas!" Ruby cheered as she immediately took out her notebook and started making notes.

"By the gods what have you done Peter…." Weiss sighs as she watched her partner scribble, she then turned back to Peter and asked, "But like Nora asked, how do you powers exactly work. If you aren't a Faunus, but you aren't exactly a regular human, then what are you?"

Peter slightly froze for a second before responding, "At my core, I am just Human, an Earth Human. When the spider bite me, it's venom had genetically altered my DNA. The obvious things you all saw me do is climb walls and jump really high, but I also have a Spider-sense which alerts me to incoming danger, super strength, super durability, which I learned the hard way. And lastly a healing factor, where I can heal injuries slightly faster than normal, which is tied to my super metabolism."

"So just to be clear, when me and Blake found you hurt and you healed in seconds, that was the alien?" Yang asked.

"Yeah, without the Symbiote, I would have probably took a couple days to heal. I can also heal from broken bones in a few days too." Peter answered, "Don't ask about how I know that."

"Got it, still jealous about the super metabolism." Yang grumbles slightly, getting a few chuckles from the others.

"I believe that's all I have when it comes to my abilities. With what I can do, I am not really a normal human anymore. Back on my world, when I and a bunch of others with super powers started to appear, they referred to us as Meta-Humans. Specifically since getting super powers isn't natural, a combination of either some getting their genetic structure edited or bodies changed into something else entirely from freak accidents is how they all came to be." Peter further explained.

"Meta-Humans, sounds weird." Nora said her opinion out loud.

"Sounds cool to me. Like future type cool." Ruby said as she continued to scribble in her notebook.

"A combination of weird and cool. The way anybody gets their powers is no doubt painful. For the record, I'm jealous you guys get your abilities naturally from your soul. All it took for me is a genetically engineered radioactive spider." Peter chuckles.

"But you have more than one ability, come to think of it, you may show more characteristics of a spider than most spider faunus. You could say your basically a super soldier." Blake pointed out.

"That, actually sounds like a good way to describe you. Your strength is unbelievable, and your reaction time is extremely fast. I wonder how your brain works with that Spider-sense…" Weiss said, thinking about the possibilities Peter has because of his altered DNA.

"I really hope you aren't planning to dissect me." Peter said with slight nervousness.

"No you dolt, when you have fully recovered I think it would be a good idea to just see how far you can go, I'm not some mad scientist." Weiss scoffed.

"I agree with Weiss, I'm very curious about your potential. Have you ever fully used your strength once? Was there ever a time you didn't hold back?" Pyrrha asked, the others just as curious as she was.

"The very few times I didn't hold back was fighting Venom. Since it basically stole my DNA and added it to their own genetic code and copy my powers so there's that. That and I once lifted a 50 ton metal debris that pinned me to the ground in one of my enemies' underwater base. The water was extremely cold and my muscles were stiff, even with the adrenaline coursing through my body I'm not sure how I was even able to lift it. My usual best is around 10 tons, so the fact I did that makes even me wonder." Peter answered.

"…….You could easily deck us all if you wanted to, could you?" Yang asked, just as shocked as everyone else.

"I told you all Parker is the perfect host!" Everyone heard the Symbiote call out from it's jar.

"Symbiote, shush. And no, I don't think I could handle all of you. I can be overwhelmed if all of you were to attack me at once." Peter tried to counter.

"Peter…." Jaune said, "You can not only have enough strength to carry over 10 tons, but you are extremely durable, fast, and a form of future sight thing that can warn you of attackers, you seem pretty broken as a fighter! How does anyone even manage to even land a hit on you?! And that's not including the literal alien goo that makes you even stronger!"

"……….Parker luck?"

"I hear excuses."

Peter sighs as he just takes the jar the Symbiote was in, and walked towards the fridge and put it in the freezer.

"You can survive the cold vacuum of space don't even complain." Peter grumbles.

"I consider getting on your nerves a vic-" and then Peter closed the fridge door.

"So back to what we are talking about, I guess I'm still learning about my powers. Plus the people I fight here are a bit faster and stronger than common thugs back where I'm from. That and I may get easily distracted sometimes." Peter assumed.

"Now that makes sense. You do spend too much time making jokes you know?" Weiss asked.

"It's how I cope remember? Can't really afford therapy. And plus, do you think anyone would believe the strange story that is my life?" Peter asked as he sat back down.

"I believe anyone would think you were a madman." Ren answered, "Everything you and the alien explained does seem extremely far-fetched."

"Exactly." Peter said. "That and my quips also distract enemies into making mistakes."

"Well, we can be your support group. I know, would a group hug help? It could make you feel better." Ruby asked.

"……I'm not saying yes, but I'm not saying no." Peter replied, not sure what to say to that.

"Ok, group hug!" Ruby said as she gave Peter a hug.

Yang joined in second, followed by Blake, then Jaune and Pyrrha, and Nora grabbing Ren to join in.

Weiss just sat there until Ruby signaled for her to join. Weiss did, a bit reluctant, and finally joined in as everyone gave Peter a hug.

"……Never have I thought I needed something so much until I received it." Peter said after everyone gave him a hug.

"Told you that you would feel better." Ruby giggled as everyone broke the hug.

Peter then turned to Yang and whispers, "You are really lucky to have a sister like Ruby." Yang smiling in response. "So yeah, I'm a Meta from a world called Earth and I was New York's friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. If you guys have anymore questions then just ask."

"I believe that's all for now, I believe it's best you take time to recover. We can ask more questions when you feel like sharing." Ren said, Nora pouting as she still has more questions but decided she would wait.

"Maybe you could tell us tales about the bad guys you fought, it would be pretty cool to listen to those tales." Jaune suggested.

"Oh! You could tell us just like how Yang used to read to me!" Ruby said with enthusiasm.

"You know what, that sounds fine to me. But yeah, I want to just take time to chill for a bit. I am still pretty tired to do anything at the moment." Peter yawns.

"Think you might have the energy to attend the dance after a night?" Jaune asked.

"Dance? What dance?" Peter asked, completely having forgotten about it.

"Wow, you really have been stressed out cause of Carnage." Weiss sighs, "Me, Yang, and Ruby, have been setting up a dance that is scheduled tonight. We believe it would be a great way to unwind and relax from everything else we all have been dealing with." Weiss said in a soft tone.

"Oh…..yeah I don't exactly have a suit. And I'm not sure if I will have the energy to dance." Peter said as he scratches the back of his head.

"I could loan you one. I think I have a spare." Jaune told his best friend. "And you don't have to dance, you could just sit down and relax, drink punch have a conversation."

"I know, how about you and Blake just talk." Yang suggested, planning something for the two.

Blake then gave Yang a look, essentially saying 'what are you doing?'

"Come again?" Peter asked with extreme confusion and obliviousness.

"You guys have your own experiences, maybe you could take time to talk about how to handle your vigilante life. Or maybe just relax and take a breather, you both are the most exhausted of us all." Yang suggested.

"Doesn't sound like a bad idea, maybe we can discuss plans for taking down Torchwick or something." Peter agreed.

"I….think that would be fine, I don't really have intentions to dance all that much." Blake agreed, and then glared at Yang when Peter looked away, getting a grin from her in response.

"Now if you all will excuse me, I'm taking a nap." Peter said as he got up.

"Ahem, are you just going to leave the alien in the fridge? With the rest of our food?" Weiss deadpanned.

"Oh…give me a moment." Peter said as he went to the fridge and opened it. Only to find the Symbiote out of the jar, having eaten everything.

"………..I regret nothing."

Everyone just stayed silent at the scene before Peter picked up the jar and stuffed the Symbiote into it, closing the fridge behind him. He then crawled up to the vent and opened the jar, the Symbiote going into the vent.

"Just don't bother anyone please." Peter said, the Symbiote just staring at him for a few seconds before scurrying away. As Peter got down he says, "For the record, I'll buy you guys more food later. Now, nap time."

And then, Peter left to the bedroom to take a nap.

Everyone just stayed silent for a few moments until Nora said, "Well, this was a weird experience." Everyone groaning in response.

/

Peter was snoring as he slept much more soundly then he did last light. Well that was until he was woken up by someone shaking his hammock.

"Huh? What happened?" Peter jolted up.

"Get out dolt we need to change, the dance remember?" Weiss scolded.

"Oh yeah, hold on give me a mome- woah!" Peter shouts as he fell down, face first, "Ow, body is still sore."

"Let me help you." Weiss grunted as she helped Peter up. "Now if you please excuse us, me, Ruby and Blake need to get ready. So off you go, don't be a pervert."

"Your never going to let that go aren't you?" Peter asked as he left the room, the door slamming behind him.

"Nope." Weiss shouts a response.

"Welp, to Jaune." Peter said he just turned around and knocked on the door.

The door opens, revealing Jaune and Ren inside, seemingly done changing. "Hey Pete, I got the spare suit, do you need to change in here?" Jaune asked

"Yep, I sleep in a dorm full of girls. Honestly not sure how I'm still alive." Peter joked as he stepped inside.

"Most guys would think your lucky. Heck I think most guys in Beacon are jealous of you." Jaune replied.

"Yeah, kind of wished I was placed in your team instead, don't tell them that." Peter chuckles as Jaune handed him the spare suit.

Peter then began to change, taking of his regular clothes, revealing his vast amount of scars, to the two. As Peter then put on the suit, he noticed the both staring.

"Does it looks bad on me?" Peter asked.

"No just, the scars dude. Is being a superhero really that dangerous?" Jaune asked.

"Y-yeah, normal baddies are nothing, it's other Meta's I have to worry about. Just comes with the job." Peter replied.

"Did you not receive any help at all? Any other individuals with powers not also protect your home?" Ren ask, even though he and Jaune already knew the answer thanks to the Symbiote.

"No, I'm the first Superhero, if you don't count a war hero called Captain America. I can tell you all about him with the others, Ruby would love to hear about him. And just between us three, I may be just as big of a fan of him just like Ruby is a big fan of Spider-Man." Peter chuckles.

"So you really protected your home all alone? That must have been hard." Jaune sympathize with his friend.

"It is, I spent so long going solo that I never spent enough time just being……me." Peter said, the tone of his voicing sounding extremely tired.

"That would explain why you never told us anything. You believed your crusade as a hero was your responsibility to beat alone, am I correct?" Ren asked.

"That, sums it up, yes. But that's just the reality of being a hero, you can't always live the life you want." Peter responds.

"Well why not? What about here on Remnant? We can help, you can take days off and maybe the rest of us can keep a look out for any criminals. The point of being a Huntsmen is to protect others." Jaune suggested.

"No, I don't want you guys getting hurt, I…..oh who am I kidding, you guys can handle yourselves just fine. I don't know why I'm making excuses right know." Peter sighs as he sat on one of the beds.

"Pete, are ok? You went from your good old self to mopey real quick." Jaune asked.

"I'll be fine, I'm just not use to actually getting help. Knowing my Aunt she would say that my Parker pride making me stubborn. I just need time to properly adjust." Peter said as took a moment to breathe.

"You miss your world, you never considered our world as your home, haven't you?" Ren asked.

"Right again Ren, wow that sort of rimed. Ever since I got here, I decided to be Spidey to distract myself by being a hero so I could feel like I'm home. Even though I know there's no way for me to get back." Peter responded, "No way to get back with the only family I had left."

"Well, this place is your home, like I said you of us. And like I told Ren yesterday, I consider you and him like the brothers I never had. So in a way, you have us as family." Jaune said as he patted Peter on the back.

"Brothers…."

"Oh crap! I didn't mean to make you sad, I forgot that you and the Eddie guy had a……falling out." Jaune apologized, remembering what the Symbiote showed him and the others.

"No, no, it's ok. I appreciate that you see me as a brother, means a lot, man I'll be saying that a lot more." Peter said with a soft smile. "So the Symbiote really did show you those memories too?"

"Yes, It showed us not only how you became the hero you are today, but also your history with it as well. It was….. horrifying to say the least." Ren answered.

"That's…..good? The Symbiote really is changing then." Peter said, really surprised by what he was hearing. "I know my personality did influence it even more, but I didn't think it would this much."

"So yeah, we got you dude. And hey, your opening up more, that's good. Guess Ruby's idea of a support group is working." Jaune smiled.

"Yeah, you guys are capable of protecting yourselves, and with me being the only Meta here and the Symbiote being docile, then it just leaves regular old joes and the occasional baddie like Roman to deal with. Maybe I really can afford to take a break." Peter said, finally feeling relieved for the first time in a long while.

"That's the spirit, even if you don't actually dance. Just take with Blake, you guys seem to have the same sense of responsibility and guilt. So just talking even more can help you." Jaune said as he got up, offering Peter his hand to help him up.

"I think that's a good idea, I don't want her making the same mistakes as me." Peter agreed as he got up, "Speaking of my mistakes, did you avoid doing the same by asking Pyrrha out?" Peter asked with a smirk on his face.

Jaune then started to turn red a little, stuttering a bit before he answered, "Yeah, I told her how I felt after looking at myself and following your advice, I asked her out to the dance and she said yes."

"Finally! It was so painful to look at how oblivious you were, like staring at a mirror!" Peter cheered, "God on you dude, hope you two the best, don't mess it up, got it?"

"I don't plan to, for the record you're an evil mastermind you know?" Jaune asked.

Peter then remembered the night he said the same thing to his Aunt May, but instead of frowning, he smiled, "I still miss you Aunt May, maybe one day I'll see you again."

"Hey, I'm just looking out for you bro, besides you two have something special." Peter patted Jaune on the shoulder, he then look towards Ren and says, "Now about you and Nora……"

"We're just friends, we are not together…together." Ren quickly responded, his quiet demeanor almost breaking.

"That's what they all say, and I should know." Peter said, deciding to not press it further. "Meh, they'll figure it out eventually."

"So, should we all go? I don't think Jaune wants to keep his Spartan warrior waiting any longer." Peter teased the blonde.

"You know, you're like Ruby and Yang combined, think maybe you three are secretly siblings." Jaune asked.

"Who knows?" Peter just shrugs, being the first to leave, "You guys coming or not?"

"Go ahead, I want to make sure I'm ready for Pyrrha." Jaune waved for Peter to go ahead, the brunette shrugging as he left the two.

"……"

"……"

"You're planning to set Peter up with Blake, aren't you?"

"Yup, not fair I have to be the one to suffer from my own obliviousness, want to help?"

"I'll pass."

"Guess I can ask Yang for help, I think that's what she was doing earlier."

/

Peter was walking towards the dance, as he did, he stumbled slightly, tripping as he fell on the floor.

"Ow, man Carnage really did a number on me." Peter said to himself as he picked himself up. "I probably should take a few days to rest."

Just as he was about to continue walking, he heard the voice of Ruby stumbling from a bit behind, struggling to walk in her shoes. He saw her wearing what looked like a red and black dress, matching her hair.

"How does Weiss even fight in these?" Ruby grumbles, she then Peter ahead of her, quickly waving at him, "Peter! Think you can help me get there, please?" Ruby asked.

"Sure, I got you." Peter said as he walked towards Ruby to help, only to fall again, "Ow…….."

"Peter, are you ok? What did you trip on?" Ruby asked worriedly, forgetting about her trouble walking as she quickly scurried towards her friend.

"I'm fine, just sore. Guess I still need time to heal. I'll be fine ok Rubes." Peter said as he got up again. "Where are the others?"

"Weiss and Blake will be here soon, and Yang is already there waiting." Ruby answered. "Do you need help walking? If your sore than I can help."

"…….Yeah, I would appreciate the help, I may not be sleepy, but my entire body feels sore, it feels like I've been split into pieces and then rearranged." Peter replied, the last part getting Ruby to remember a certain thing from the fight with the crimson Symbiote.

Shaking that memory off, Ruby says, "Well, you can take the time to relax. Oh! I also made a bunch of designs for a Spider-Man suit for you and made blueprints for a modified web-shooters, want to see them?"

"Do you have the notebook?" Peter asked, curious to see what the young Huntress came up with.

"……I forgot I left it in our dorm."

"You can show another day, how about we meet up with Yang at least," Peter said, offering his elbow for Ruby to hang on so the both of them could walk together.

Ruby put her hands around his elbow, using him to walk stead while also making sure Peter didn't fall from his still exhausted body.

They both entered together, seeing the decorated cafeteria, music playing as students danced along to it. In front of the two was Yang standing in front of a podium, wearing an all white dress.

"Oh you look beautiful!" Yang squealed as she looked at her little sister, "And you don't look too bad yourself Pete. Say, you wouldn't be trying to get a dance with Ruby are you?" Yang teased, seeing how both wear holding on to each other.

"Yang!"

"Whoa, no, wrong idea. We're just helping each other walk. I'm still sore and Ruby here is having trouble with her heels." Peter said, not wanting to give off the wrong idea.

Yang just laughed, finding the reaction pretty funny, "I'm just kidding, Ruby doesn't see you that way. Unless she has a secret fantasy she's hiding from us all."

"Yang! Stop!" Ruby pouted as she let go of Peter and almost stumbled a bit.

"Yeah, Ruby is way to innocent for something like that." Peter chuckles, finding the little banter funny, "So, this is the dance you have all been talking about. Looks neat, wonder who decorated the place."

"That would be me and Weiss mostly, Ruby did help a bit." Yang said, getting a light shove from her sister. "Although, we could use a photographer to take pictures of the moment."

"Sorry, didn't bring my camera. Weiss kicked me out of the dorm so she and the others could change, Don't know why she couldn't use the bathroom and let me nap a little longer."

"You sure you didn't want to take a peek at her?" Yang continued to tease.

"Ok, are any of you ever going to let me live that down?" Peter deadpanned.

"Nope, it's funny that you are a cougar hunter." Yang laughed.

"I am so getting Jaune for that. So, when are Weiss and Blake getting here?" Peter asked.

"Don't know, I've been here greeting everyone who came in. What about you Rubes, weren't you with them?" Yang asked.

"I was, but they said they were going to do something real quick." Ruby answered.

Suddenly the doors opened to reveal Weiss, coming in dressed in a much fancier white dress then Yang.

"Hey there's the Ice queen, we were wondering where you were. I thought you were starting to get cold feet." Peter quipped

"Looks like the dolt still has his sense of humor, be lucky I'm tolerating it at the moment." Weiss replied in a frustrated tone.

"What? You grumpy you walked in all alone, I'm surprised you didn't come in with a date." Peter quipped.

And in response, Weiss just stared at him and walked past him, deciding to ignore the vigilante.

"Huh, she's in a grumpy mode, well a grumpier mode." Yang said, watching as Weiss walked ahead.

"Maybe you shouldn't have made that joke Peter." Ruby said, thinking that Weiss didn't get a date for the dance.

"I probably shouldn't have, I'll make it up to her another day. Now all we are missing is Blake." Peter said.

And just as he did, the doors open to reveal Blake wearing a purple dress with a large purple ribbon. Next to Blake was Sun, wearing a black shirt and white tie, both him and Blake holding onto each other's arms.

"Wow, she looks good in purple." Peter thought to himself for a moment. "Hey, looks like you both came together. So you both a thing now?"

"No. I decided to be his date as an apology for how I behaved the other day." Blake answered quickly.

"Hey, a dates a date, I'm not complaining." Sun smiled, "You came alone Peter? I'm surprised Yang didn't ask you out."

"Nah, I'm not doing dates, not ready for stuff like that right now. But hey good for you two. Just don't leave her behind like you did the entire team with Roman." Peter quipped, although a hint of seriousness could be heard from his voice.

"I won't." Sun gulped.

"Alright, I'll let you guys dance. I'm going to just sit down for a bit. Feel free to join me if you guys get tired of moving your legs around." Peter said as he walked away……and tripped. "I'm fine!" Peter quickly got up.

Peter then walked to the nearest chair and sat down and just watched as everyone danced and had fun. He would be lying if he said he didn't want to dance, but he was just too worn down to do so. Too distract himself, he would imagine what the Symbiote would say about all this.

"Heh, no doubt Venom would say this is all stupid and that we should go Grimm hunting or get more chocolate. Heck, Halloween would definitely be their favorite holiday." Peter thought.

His thoughts then slowly went back to every conversation he had with it, eventually leading to the conversation he had before they both escaped Carnage.

"Me and Blake huh? I mean we do have a guilty past we both want to fix. But that's about it, what bond do we have?" Peter slightly chuckles, until growing silent.

"……What bond do we have?"

"Hey Pete!"

Peter then opened his eyes to see Jaune and Pyrrha together, Pyrrha wearing a long red dress, both holding on to each other.

"Oh hey! How's my favorite couple doing?" Peter teased.

"Oh! Uh…well….." Jaune stuttered at what Peter said, failing to say anything.

"We are doing lovely, tonight has been wonderful, and Jaune here is an excellent dance." Pyrrha complemented her leader.

"Well, I do have seven sisters." Jaune rubbed the back of his head, flustered at the complement.

"Dude, how are you still alive?" Peter asked, surprised by what Jaune said.

"I have no idea."

"That would explain you seeing me as a bro dude. Ok, the chance we get, you, me, and Ren are having a boys night out." Peter suggested.

"Huh, a boys night out sounds cool. Put what about the girls?" Jaune asked.

"I could set up a girls night with them, it could be so much fun. Although we may have to be careful Nora doesn't do anything reckless." Pyrrha suggested.

"Alright, that plan is set. Don't worry Jaune I'll make sure it will be the best night ever, well second best at least. I'm sure tonight is the best night dancing with Pyrrha, am I right?" Peter continued to tease his best friend.

"Please stop……." Jaune cried out.

"Nope, you better enjoy what you have bro." Peter smiled as he learned in the chair. "But seriously, I have to ask, are you two official now? Like, together together?"

"Well, we talked a bit more, and we decided that tonight would be our first date as a couple." Pyrrha smiled, which also caused Jaune to smile as well at seeing his partner happy. "And we owe it you Peter, I can't thank you enough for opening Jaune's eyes. I didn't have the courage myself to tell him how I felt."

"Yeah Pete, thanks for uh, helping me with my obliviousness. And like I said before, you are an evil mastermind." Jaune joked.

"There's no need, I'm just glad to help you two come together. It's good to see that I was able to prevent the same pain I went through when it came to love. And trust me, love is complicated, but I think you both already know that." Peter replied.

All three then laughed together, finding a sense of comedic irony to what Peter said. Once they stopped laughing, Jaune then asked, "Where's Blake, I thought you two would be sitting together to talk."

"Oh she's with Sun, from what I know, Sun must have asked her out and she must have said something mean so she's on an apology date. Good for her, she needs to relax too." Peter answered.

"So you're going to just sit there alone?" Jaune asked.

"Yup, I'll be fine, just sore. Go have fun you two. If you guys want to chat even further then come back here and take a break and sip some punch or something." Peter waved off.

"Well if you are sure, shall we go madam." Jaune bowed to his Spartan Goddess.

"Why of course." Pyrrha giggled as they both left. "We will chat later Peter!"

"Later you two." Peter waved, thus returning to his thoughts once again.

"Blake…….why I'm I thinking of her again? Come to think of it, Yang and Jaune have been insisting that I talk to her more. Maybe they think our shared emotions might help us open up more." Peter thought to himself.

"Mister Parker."

Peter then opened his eyes, greeted by the sight of Ozpin standing in front of him.

"Hey Oz, how have you been?" Peter asked.

"I should be asking you that question, you did suffer some heavy injuries the night before." Ozpin responds. "If I may ask, why aren't you spending time with your friends?"

"I'm extremely sore, so I can't stand up straight let alone dance. But I decided to at least be here so the others don't have to worry. That way they can enjoy themselves." Peter answered, "I just need to take time to rest, I'll be up and at em soon enough."

"That is good, I believe you have earned the time to rest. Although I would request you talk with your "ally" later." Ozpin requested.

"What did they do this time." Peter asked.

"Let's just say my office is a mess and Glynda is refusing to clean it up at the moment. I'll have to do it myself." Ozpin said, slightly annoyed at what the Symbiote did.

"Of course, I should probably get them to go Grimm hunting later." Peter sighs, "Speaking of Ms. Goodwitch, how is she? And Ironwood, last I remember she was tired and the General had missing limbs." Peter recalled.

"Glynda is alright, a little rest is all she needed, she is currently making sure the students behave themselves and don't get to carried away." Ozpin answered, fully aware at what teenagers tend to do with their free time, "As for James, he is still recovering, however he might come here either way despite his injuries."

"Yeah, I know a thing or two about that. Hope he recovers soon. I doubt Atlas would want to lose their General." Peter joked. "So you just came to check in on me or give me any advice?"

Ozpin chuckles a bit at Peter's question, "While I did speak to Miss Rose for a moment, I believe I have nothing to pass onto you Young Parker. Your experience from your other life must have already taught more than I could."

"Like I said to you before, experience is the best teacher. But hey, I wouldn't oppose to any extra knowledge." Peter replied.

"Well then, I believe you should spend the rest of your time being like the rest of your peers. From what I can see, you have spent so long handling life as more of adult. You seem to have matured more than everyone here, if anything, it seems as if you don't even consider yourself as a child anymore." Ozpin said.

"Your….not wrong. I guess you could say the day I got bit is the day my childhood died. But there's nothing I can do about it now, it's too late fore to go back." Peter responds.

"Not here, when you have fully recovered, spend more time with your team, then can help you tether yourself. I'm not saying to stop upholding your responsibilities, but to let them lessen the burden. And a long the way, you can teach them what you have learned from being a hero." Ozpin suggested.

Heh, funny, they said they would act as my support group. They kind of beat you to it Oz. But I'll try to let them help, not used to anyone offering to understand or help me with my other life. And no, they don't count either, in fact they are learning as well. Hope that helps with wondering if V will be something to worry about." Peter replied.

"I have no doubt you have it under control, but remember, it's ok to ask for help. They all look up to you. Here." Ozpin said, passing Peter a new scroll. "Glynda asked to hand you a new one. She believed the one she handed you before had been lost."

"I'll be sure to thank her when I see her, I just hope I wasn't a burden to handle the past week or two. Thanks Oz." Peter said as he accepted the scroll, pocketing it away.

Ozpin simply nodded as he walked away, letting the young boy to relax on his own.

"Guess I'm alone again, Blake must be having fun with Sun. I don't blame her, maybe what I said to her earlier must have been a lot to process so she might need time to herself. Really wished I listened to Venom about resting. At least no more people are going to die. I wonder what the Symbiote is doing right now."

/

Meanwhile, the Symbiote had been crawling in the vents. It had noticed the lady of fire had put on a disguise and followed her into a building. It watched as she entered the building and began to take out every single guard she encountered.

"Of course the old man decided to play it safe and just wait to see if I was right." The Symbiote thought to themselves as it watched the lady take everyone out and enter the elevator, which had two guards inside.

Decided it needed to follow even more, it crawled towards the building, using it's camouflage to hide as it crawled to another vent.

"I keep forgetting I can camouflage, I should utilize this more often." The Symbiote thought as it entered the vent. It spent a while looking for the right room where the masked lady of fire was. "No, no, goddamn it! What are these vents so complicated!"

Eventually, the Symbiote finally arrived to the room where the masked lady was. She was standing in front of the computer looking what appeared to be…..

"Is that a file on me?!"

"Interesting…" Cinder said to herself as she was reading the last file she found, but soon got a frown on her face as she read a not related to it.

"Ozpin has informed me that the Alien had discovered that one of the students is the same individual that helped Roman Torchwick a while back. While I don't trust a damn thing from that create, this must be investigated further."

Cinder scowled as she realized her cover may have been blown, however an idea came to her as she finished reading, just because her cover was blown doesn't mean the others weren't.

The Symbiote watched as Cinder finished grabbing all the data and prepared to leave, contemplating whether or not it should intervene.

Suddenly, both of them heard the sound of the elevator open, with Ruby holding Crescent Rose in her hands.

"Hello?" Ruby calls out as she slowly walked inside, looking around for anyone, with Cinder hiding from her. "Is anyone there?"

Deciding that hiding was pointless, Cinder slowly got up, revealing herself to Ruby.

"Excuse me, you know it's not a masquerade party." Ruby quipped, which annoyed the Symbiote slightly, "So why don't you take off tha-"

But just before Ruby could say anything, Cinder immediately summoned a bunch of crystals in the air and shot them towards Ruby.

Ruby then twirled her weapon to block the crystals and immediately began shooting at the disguised Cinder. Cinder easily blocked each shot and spun around, forming a bit of fire around her hand as she formed a bow. Ruby then shot at the ground behind her to send herself flying towards Cinder and slam her scythe onto the ground, only to miss as Cinder backflips and jumped back into the air.

She then manifested three arrows as her arms and legs glowed red. She shot the arrows which got the ground in front of Ruby, causing the young Huntress to stumble back a bit.

As the fight went on, the Symbiote contemplated further on getting involved.

"She is already aware of me and Parker thanks to who I know has to be either the general or the old man for storing info here. But the fire could harm and maybe destroy me, may not be worth the risk." The Symbiote thought, but a nagging feeling at the back of their head kept saying to help.

As Cinder shot more arrows towards Ruby, the young Huntress prepared herself to block them, only for a black blue to interfere, a small fiery explosion resulting on impact.

Both Cinder and Ruby were caught off guard from what the blur was, screeching could be heard as the smoke disappeared.

With the small gone, it revealed the Symbiote, taking a form similar to Spider-Man, the form having just a torso and a head without any limbs, sharp eyes staring right at Cinder in anger.

Cinder froze for a moment, the memory of Symbiote Spider-Man beating her down, the taunts, the rage, the fear. She shook those thoughts away.

"This, this alien, it will pay, Spider-Man will pay, they will all pay!" Cinder scowled.

The Symbiote and Cinder stared each other down, each one waiting for the other to make a move. But just before anything could happen, everyone heard the elevator open once more. When it does, they all turned to see General Ironwood standing, surprised to find Ruby and the Symbiote there.

"You! What are you doing hear monster?!" Ironwood said, slowly putting his hands onto his own weapons.

Ruby and the Symbiote then turned to see Cinder had disappeared. "Damn it!" The Symbiote growled in frustration.

"I won't ask again, what are you do-"

"Doing your job apparently, the woman of fire I warned Ozpin about was here! I had expected you both to had already captured her!" The Symbiote shouts.

"Wait, do you mean the same lady that helped Roman escape is the same one I just fought?" Ruby asked the Symbiote.

Turning towards Ruby, Ironwood growing even closer to drawing his weapon, calmed down and said, "Yes little one, I had figured it out the second I sensed her power here. I warned the old man, but apparently he and this incompetent general didn't believe me."

"And why would I believe you alien? As far as I am aware, your species brings nothing but death." Ironwood scowled. "How do I know your not hear to destroy us all."

Suddenly, the Symbiote took a more stable form of Spider-Man and immediately webbed Ironwood's weapons away, much to his shock. And then it appeared in front of his face.

"If I wanted all of you dead, you would be dead long ago." The Symbiote growled.

The Symbiote then tossed the weapons away and returned to it's puddle form crawling towards the vent. But just before it did, it formed a head and spoke one more time, "Mini-parker, I suggest you go back and have some fun, you did what you could." And then left, leaving Ironwood and Ruby alone to themselves.

But unbeknownst to any of them, one of the computers flickered, showing the image of a Black queen chess piece before disappearing seconds later.

Cinder had arrived to a secluded place, she had informed Mercury and Emerald of the change in plans and instructed them to stay under cover.

She was now speaking to someone else about the news she had discovered.

"His name is Peter Parker, age 17, he is the elusive Spider-Man, and apparently he is not of this world. And his abilities are genetically modified." Cinder spoke.

"I see, what else did you discover about this bug." The voice of woman coming from the other side of the call.

"Parker's semblance isn't a semblance at all, in fact he has no aura to begin with. Instead, he has some alien parasite attached to him called a "Klyntar". This alien calls itself Venom and has discovered who I am and blown my cover." Cinder explained.

"How unpleasant, but I assume that Emerald's and Mercury's cover hasn't been discovered yet?"

"No my goddess, which means the plan can still be set in motion, nothing but a few complications." Cinder responds.

"I see, carry on then and don't fail me."

"Yes my goddess." Cinder replied, "And what shall I do about the Spider and the parasite?"

"If it's possible, bring them to me alive when the plan unfolds. I am curious to see these aliens and what they are capable of. And do not inform Torchwick or Adam of anything, understand?"

"Yes my goddess." Cinder responds, albeit not happy that she was instructed to keep them alive.

"Goodbye Cinder."

The call ended, and on the other side of the call, Salem sat there processing the news she had just learned.

"Spider-man……Klyntar….why does that sound…..just what have you brought to the table this time Ozpin?"
