Same Day: Knowhere

Outside: Bar Balcony

Fluttershy, Rainbow, and Applejack are inside the bar, getting drunk, while Twilight, Sunset, and Pinkamena stand out on the balcony, talking. Pinkamena mentions about how her contact is making them wait.

Twilight leans her hands on the railing and tells Pinkamena, "It's just a negotiation tactic. Trust me, this is my specialty." She leans her right forearm down on the railing, leaning her hip against it, facing Pinkamena, "Where yours is more, 'Stab, stab. Those are my terms."' Sunset looks up and moves her position to stand beside Twilight on her left, as Twilight faces Pinkamena.

Pinkamena's head tilts down as she concentrates on her sword. She turns her head to look at Twilight and smiles in amusement at her words, "My father didn't stress diplomacy."

Sunset asks curiously, "King Andrias?"

Pinkamena looks at Sunset with a serious and angry look at the mention of King Andrias, "He's not my father." Sunset looks at her questioningly, and Pinkamena explains as she looks forward, "When King Andrias took my home world, he killed my parents in front of me. He tortured me, turned me into a weapon. When he said he was going to destroy an entire planet for Sombra, I..." She looks down, sad, "I couldn't stand by and..." She trails off and looks down, noticing Twilight's Walkman on her belt. She takes it in her hands and asks, "Why would you risk your life for this?" Sunset watches Pinkamena carefully, seeing that she's a good distance from Twilight.

Twilight tells Pinkamena as Pinkamena plays the Walkman, "My father gave it to me." Pinkamena looks at her as Twilight explains, "My dad liked sharing with me all the pop songs that he loved growing up. I happened to have it on me when I was..." She struggles to say, "The day that he..." Sunset rubs Twilight's back in comfort, "You know when we left Earth." Twilight gently takes the Walkman from Pinkamena and puts it back on her belt. She looks at Sunset, and Sunset gives her a sympathetic smile.

Pinkamena looks at Sunset and asks, "Do you have one as well?" She's referring to the Walkman.

Sunset nods as she answers, "Yeah, it's somewhere in the ship."

Pinkamena asks Sunset softly, "What about your family?"

Sunset shifts uncontrollably, crossing her arms, but answers honestly, "Uh, my father was best friends with Twilight's dad. Um, he died in a car accident about a month before her dad..." She looks at Twilight, saying that her dad died before Twilight's dad died, and they were abducted. Twilight looks down. Sunset looks back at Pinkamena, "Twilight's family took me in, and after that, I've been with Twi since." Pinkamena offers a small smile which Sunset returns.

Pinkamena asks them as she looks at the Walkman, "What do you do with it?"

Sunset answers, "Do? Nothing. You listen to it."

Twilight adds, "Or you can dance."

Pinkamena tells them seriously, "I'm a warrior and an assassin. I do not dance."

Twilight questions, "Really? Well, on my planet, there's a legend about people like you. It's called Footloose." Sunset looks away, biting her lip, trying not to laugh, "And in it, a great hero named Kevin Bacon teaches an entire city full of people with sticks up their butts that dancing, well... it's the greatest thing there is." Sunset silently chuckles at that.

Pinkamena asks Twilight curiously, "Who put the sticks up their butts?" Sunset covers her mouth as she chuckles with a laugh.

Twilight was confused, "What?" She tries to correct what she meant as Pinkamena doesn't understand the phrase, "No, that's just a..."

Pinkamena says softly and seriously, "That is cruel."

Sunset calms her chuckles and says, "It's just a phrase people use."

Twilight takes her headphones off her neck and slowly but carefully puts the Walkman headphones onto Pinkamena's head so she can listen to the music. Pinkamena hesitates at first and looks at Sunset, who nods assuringly. Pinkamena relaxes, letting Twilight place the headphones on her head. Pinkamena listens to the music, and her eyes widen as she relaxes.

After a moment, Pinkamena shouts to Twilight and Sunset, "The melody is pleasant!" Sunset chuckles and nods. Twilight nods along before she grabs Sunset's hand and starts swaying a bit, making Sunset sway.

Pinkamena continues to listen to the music, and Twilight leans in to hug her, wrapping her arms around her. But Pinkamena thinks Twilight will kiss her and quickly grab her knife. She pushes her against the railing, holding the knife to her throat, shouting in anger, "No!"

Twilight exclaims, "Ow! What the hell?" Sunset is shocked and quickly takes out her high-tech six-shooter, which shoots blasts like Twilight's gun and points it at Pinkamena's head.

Pinkamena shouted at Twilight, "I know who you are, Twilight Sparkle! And I am not some starry-eyed waif here to succumb to your... your pelvic sorcery! And not to mention your wife is standing right there!"

Sunset shouts in anger, "Pinkamena, let her go!"

Twilight states truthfully, "That is not what is happening here." Pinkamena lets go of her throat, and Sunset lowers her gun, holstering it back. Shouting is heard from inside the bar, and Twilight straightens up and looks inside. She sees Applejack tackling Fluttershy, and they land on the gambling table, rolling over it to the floor. Sunset looks over her left shoulder to look inside, and Twilight complains, "Oh, no."

Inside: Bar

Applejack landed on Fluttershy and started punching her in the face multiple times, grunting as she did. Fluttershy uses vines from her arms to wrap around Applejack's head and neck. Applejack grabs the branches around her neck and uses her strength to break them off her. Applejack looks up to see Rainbow growling at her with her gun in hand. It extends out.

Twilight, Sunset, and Pinkamena ran back into the bar to stop the fight between Applejack, Rainbow, and Fluttershy. Before Applejack can attack Rainbow, Pinkamena grabs Applejack by the arm and pulls her off of Fluttershy with a grunt. She shouts to her face, "Stop it!"

Rainbow points her weapon at Applejack and goes to shoot her when Twilight quickly intervenes, shouting, "Whoa, Whoa, what are you doing?!" Fluttershy rolls to her right side to get out of the middle.

Applejack shouts as she wants to attack Rainbow but is being held back by Pinkamena, "This freak peaks of affairs she knows nothing about!" Sunset quickly steps over Fluttershy and kneels down to see if she's okay.

Rainbow shouts back, "That is true!"

Applejack continues to shout, "She has no respect!"

Rainbow shouts back again as she stumbles on her feet, weapon in hand, "That is also true!"

Twilight holds her hand out to Rainbow to make her stay where she is, "Hold on! Hold on!" Sunset helps Fluttershy stand up.

Rainbow shouts drunkenly to Applejack, "Keep calling me a freak, tough girl!" Fluttershy stands straight and adjusts her jaw.

Sunset asks Fluttershy, "Are you okay, Fluttershy?"

Fluttershy responds, "I am Flutter."

Sunset, not understanding what she said, nods and breathes out, "Okay." She turns towards Rainbow.

Rainbow continues to drunkenly shout, "You just wanna laugh at me like everyone else!"

Sunset calmly tells Rainbow, "Rainbow, you're drunk. Alright?" She gestures to the bar full of people, "No one's laughing at you."

Rainbow points to Applejack as she tells Sunset, "She thinks I'm some stupid thing! She does!" She gets emotional, "Well, I didn't ask to get made!" Pinkamena and Twilight look at Rainbow as she waves her free hand around while she says, "I didn't ask to be torn apart and put back together, over and over and turned into some-" She inhales, "...some damn monster!"

Sunset tells Rainbow, sternly but softly, "Rainbow, no one's calling you a monster."

Rainbow points to Applejack, who is looking at her, breathing heavily in drunken anger, "She called me a 'freak'!" She then points to Twilight, "She called me a 'smurf'! Let's see if you can laugh after five or six good shots to your frickin' face!" Rainbow points her weapon at Applejack again, who also goes to attack her, but Pinkamena puts both hands on Applejack's chest, and Sunset quickly helps her out and places her hands on Applejack's chest to hold her back.

Twilight quickly stands in front of Rainbow with her hands out to stand her, "No, no, no, no! Four billion units! Rainbow! Come on, dude. Hey! Suck it up for one more lousy night, and you're rich."

Rainbow hesitates for a moment. Pinkamena and Sunset look back at her, breathing heavily. Fluttershy looks at Rainbow. Rainbow then lowers her weapon, sighing as she looks down, "Fine." She tells them quickly, "But I can't promise when all this is over, I'm not gonna kill every last one of you jerks."

Twilight rubs her head and exclaims as she points to Rainbow with her hand, "See? That's exactly why none of you have any friends!" She looks at Pinkamena and Applejack, "Five seconds after you meet somebody, you're already trying to kill them!" Sunset lets go of Applejack, listening to Twilight. She glances at Pinkamena, who looks back at her.

Applejack calmed down and said, still drunk, "We have traveled halfway across the quadrant. And Sombra is no closer to being dead." Applejack lightly shrugs Pinkamena's hands as she turns and leaves the bar in anger.

Twilight calls out to Applejack, "Applejack!"

Pinkamena tells Twilight, "Let her go. We don't need her." Fluttershy like a child, she makes a face, not looking, as she waves angrily in the direction Applejack walked off to, agreeing with Pinkamena. The bar is silent from the group's interaction.

Suddenly, the door opens, and Zecora's assistant, Diamond Tiara, enters the bar. The group, minus Applejack, looks at Tiara as she says softly, "Milady Pinkamena. I'm here to fetch you for my master." She steps to her left, leaning forward a bit, and she holds her right arm out, gesturing to the exit and to follow her.

Zecora's Ship

Tiara escorts Pinkamena, Rainbow, Fluttershy, Sunset, and Twilight to Zecora's home, which is full of all the rare creatures and devices in glass cages on display. They walk up the steps to reveal the cages.

Rainbow looks at the cages and comments, "Okay, this isn't creepy at all."

Tiara explains as they walk into Zecora's massive room of collections, passing a few cages, "We house the galaxy's largest collection of fauna, relics, and species of all manner."

Rainbow looks inside a cage to see a dog in a space suit. The dog growls at Rainbow, who growls back as she continues to walk. Sunset holds Twilight's hand as she walks and looks around the place.

Tiara takes them to the center of the room, where Zecora awaits them. Tiara stops and turns to the group, opening her arms as she announces, "I present to you, Zecora, the Collector." Zecora turns around to face them, looking over her funny-looking shades to see them.

Zecora removes her shades and walks to Pinkamena, who stands in front of her while the others stand a few feet back.
