With the duel's end everyone head back to the Sanctuary while Mizar explained everyone about Yudo to Kite. As he listened Kite's eyes widened in shock before he turned to Yudo in disbelief. "That... is that all true?"
"But, things are looking up at least. Yudo has people who care about him especially his sister and Carlita." Yuya mentioned.
"And now I want to help all these Dimensions however, I can." Yudo agreed with a nod, "Including you Kite."
"You've been through more than enough for a lifetime, but I doubt you'll agree to let us handle things from here." Kite mentioned.
Yudo nodded at that before frowning, "And now... Me, and Amy's parents' killer is looking for us."
Amy frowned at that before hugging Yudo.
"Don't worry, we won't let that guy lay one finger on either of you." Claire reassured him.
Yudo smiled to one of his childhood friends at that, "Oh thank you guys."
"Still, we have our own problems here." Rio frowned. "Our home is in ruins and Duel Academy still has soldiers here hunting us down."
"We can stop them now that Kite is here with us." Yuma grinned to them at this, "But still we better figure out what we should do about it first. What'll be step 1?"
"Step 1 is obvious." Yuri mentioned. "You need to know who's in charge of the invasion."
'Are there anyone that comes to mind?' Yudo asked him in his head, 'Someone like Viper or something?'
"... Ask if they know anything about the decks Duel Academy is using." Yuri answered after a moment.
Yudo nodded before asking Kite, "Do you happen to know what kind of Decks Duel Academy is using otherside from Ancient Gear, Kite?"
"I do." Dumon mentioned with a frown. "The members of the resistance that managed to escape said he plays Destiny cards."
"Destiny?" Yudo blinked hearing that giving some thought, "Well... There is only one character I know that plays 'Destiny' cards, and that is-" Realizing who he gasped, "Wait... Him!?"
"Yudo, you don't think it's him do you?" Emily asked.
In Yudo's mind Yuri can see flashing images of a silver haired man summoning darkened warriors dueling hard against several opponents but all focused on him.
"Aster Phoenix, he certainly fits the description and he is a general of Duel Academy's forces." Yuri noted.
Yudo nodded before saying the name, "Aster Phoenix."
"Wait, that's not possible though." Rio mentioned suddenly.
"What?" they looked to her confused.
"She's right, if Aster is a man he couldn't be the ones who were hunting our allies... they were attacked by two women." Alito mentioned frowning.
"Two woman?" Yudo asked confused.
"Two... Ask him if one of them is a ritual specialist." Yuri mentioned thoughtfully.
"Do they use Ritual?" Yudo asked Dumon.
"No, neither of them do." he answered.
"Then it's those two, Grace and Gloria Tyler... that should be interesting. They're Amazoness specialists and if the rumors are true have monsters they've never needed to play before." Yuri mentioned thoughtfully. "I've only heard rumors of those monsters though so I can't tell you anything about them."
"Amazoness? Like Tania?" Yudo asked remembering the other Amazoness Duelist.
"Stronger than her." Yuri answered before pausing. "Well, actually she might be more skilled. The Tyler Sisters are Tag Duel Experts but they don't duel one-on-one."
Yudo nodded before remembering, "Well at least, I know what the Amazoness Cards can do."
"Yudo?" Emily asked. "Oh, are you talking to him?"
Yudo nodded, "Two woman are using Amazoness cards. Like Tania."
"Well, knowing who we're up against helps right?" Zuzu asked him.
Yudo nodded before admitting, "Well he said there using monsters we never heard of so it'll still be difficult."
"It's still a start." Alito mentioned. "So, we should try and come up with a plan."
They all nodded in agreement hearing that trying to think of a plan. As they did Lulu frowned before taking out her cards and looking at them.
"Lulu?" Yugo asked noticing her looking at them.
"Huh? Oh, sorry." she apologized. "I'm just thinking."
Lulu looked down. "It's... when Yuri kidnapped me."
Yudo looked over to her hearing that, "About wanting to duel you, and Rin again?"
"Yeah, I know he said I gave him a good challenge but I still didn't stand a chance against him." she frowned.
"Well he said he slipped some Dimension Walls in the Deck against you." Yudo admitted to her.
Lulu blinked before nodding. "Well, maybe when this is over we can duel again."
"She's right, we need to figure out what to do about Aster and those two girls right now." Rin pointed out.
They nodded at this agreeing that handling Aster, Gloria, and Grace is more important for this at the moment talking it over with each other how to handle the situation. Eventually throughout the talking Carlita notices Yudo exiting the Sanctuary. Frowning she walked after him. "Yudo?"
She finds him sitting outside the Sanctuary at the top of the stair case looking out at the ruins of Heartland City. Seeing that she walked over to sit next to him. "Do you see that over there, the broken green building?"
Hearing that Yudo looked over to the building she's directing.
"That..." Carlita started before smiling softly. "That was a bookstore, I remember having no idea I was reading my books and cards upside down... Kite had to tell me and I ended up so embarrassed. Even if I was only two years old back then."
"Hmmm..." Yudo didn't say anything as he looks at the building.
She frowned before just wrapping an arm around him. "Yudo, it's ok. We're together again right? Everything will work out."
Yudo looked down before to her shock he started crying. Seeing that she hugged him close and rubbed his back. "Do you want Amy?"
"Carlita..." Yudo sobbed against her.
"I'm right here Yudo." she whispered softly.
While he cries on her she realized something: The pain of loss that affected him deep from losing his parents, from her, and Amy suffering, the entire city of Heartland destroyed, and now confronting the killer of his parents is really affecting him making him really emotional. Shifting slightly she rested his head on her lap before gently running her fingers through his hair while softly singing what sounded like a lullaby. Yudo kept having tears down his face while she does this feeling comforted from her comforting him like this slowly stopping his tears.
"My big sister sang like that when I was upset as a little girl." Carlita smiled softly. "I know it's a lot to get through but I promise things are going to get better Yudo."
"Carlita..." Yudo looked up at her from her lap saying that with tears in his eyes before saying, "I don't know..." That confused her over why he said that.
"Yudo?" she asked. "You can tell me, it's ok."
"It's just... I don't know how much longer I can keep this up..." Yudo admitted to her turning his head in her lap. "I'm suppose to be strong for you guys... But all this talk... and this much destruction... I don't know if I can keep fighting... And even if we do win, what can I do then? I was no-one important back at home... I don't know how much longer I can fight, and... I don't know what will be next for me if we do succeed in stopping the Professor..."
"I do." Carlita told him. "You have your family, Declan and Amy... you have your friends from all five Dimensions."
She then hugged him close.
"And... you'll always have me."
He hugged her back still feeling pretty emotional, "Carlita..."
At the entrance Amy who had noticed both Carlita, and Yudo are gone exit to find them but found them both in a big embrace with Yudo crying. Seeing that she walked over and embraced him with Carlita as the two girls who loved him the most just held him together.
"I... I..." Yudo tried to think of a thing to say admiss his emotional break-down.
"Don't say anything, just let it out. It's ok." Amy whispered.
"She's right, we're both right here for you." Carlita nodded.
Yudo sniffed while in the embrace of both Amy, and Carlita both his sister, and girlfriend who won't turn a blind eye ever to him going through crap. He can't remember the last time he felt like this... But he is reminded of some fond memories.
Flashback...
"Waaaaa!"
A 4 year old Yudo was crying at the park after tripping while playing.
"Oh, it's ok Leo." mentioned a female voice as he was picked up. "Let me see sweetie."
"M-M-Mommy...!" Yudo snuggled close to her crying while his mother sees he has a scrape on his knee.
"There there, mommy will make it all better." she smiled kissing his forehead as she carried him into the bathroom and starting to gently clean the scrape.
Yudo kept hiccupping as he watched his mother treat his scrape before she bandaged it.
"There, feel better?" she asked softly.
Yudo sniffed but had a smile, "Mommy!" He hugged her deep from her helping him feel better, and she gotten him some ice cream to help him feel better.
Flash Forward...
Now 5 Yudo was outside of the school crying loud while his father who had let off early to pick him up sees Yudo was in front of the school crying with his head buried in his knees.
"Huh, hey what's wrong buddy?" his father asked walking over to him.
"D-Daddy..." Yudo looked up, and his father widen his eyes when he sees what looks like a bloodied nose, and a large handprint at the side of Yudo's face.
"What happened?" he asked seeing that.
"W-We were doing an art project... But when I turned mine in... the teacher tore it in half, and smacked me..." Yudo cried launching himself to hug his father.
His father looked shocked before frowning. "Come on, let's talk to your teacher."
"No need, now that your here."
His father looked seeing a stern elder woman with a blue ponytail just exited the building with crossed arms. Before things get heated another teacher that is seeing the commotion which is a younger woman exited, and offered, "Uh, sir, if it's okay while you talk things out with her, I'll take care of your son."
"Is that ok with you Leo?" his dad asked kneeling down.
Yudo slowly nodded as he walked with the younger nicer teacher keeping him company while he can hear his father, and the art teacher yelling at each other. He doesn't know what it is but he can remember the words 'faulty mind', 'can't hit', 'kicked out of class', and much more of stuff in that category. Very soon after they left, his parents talked it over, and now there at the Principal's Office where his father was talking with the Principal while the Art Teacher is watching silently inside, and Yudo was with his mother outside the office while he tries to ignore some of the screeching.
Soon the Art Teacher exit out in a crying stuttering mess screaming that her career is ruined while a triumphant father exited with a small grin.
"It's ok now Leo, I promise you can always rely on your dad to help you out." his father smiled gently. "Let's go get some ice cream ok?"
Yudo looked up before nodding with a smile as they all exit for ice cream. Form then on he never seen that teacher again, and he had a better art teacher. He never asked why the old teacher was so mean, but feels it's better he doesn't know. Plus he also gotten a week of no school so big win.
Flash Forward...
Yudo is now 6 years old when he ran into the house quickly hugging his mother who is startled from this while she's cooking, and his father was at the kitchen table reading a newspaper but they started to hear him crying.
"Leo?" his mother asked.
"What's wrong son?" his father inquired putting the newspaper down.
"C-Chip... It's Chip, they stole him!" Yudo cried in his mother's embrace.
"What?" his mother asked in shock.
"Who would take Chip?" his father asked hearing that.
Deicing to do something about it his parents followed there son back to the school where they see at the park where a couple of older kids were there playing where one of them has Chip on his backpack. Yudo pointed to him, "That's him! He took Chip!"
"Excuse me, young man." Leo's father asked walking over. "That Blue-Eyes belongs to my son, could you give it back to him?"
"Huh?" the kid looked over seeing him before smiling taking Chip in his hands, "Sorry, I think he confused it with his own. This is my Blue-Eyes, my parents got it for me during my Birthday."
Leo's father decided to play along with this, and smiled, "Oh really? My mistake." He knelled down asking, "Well you won't mind if I check him over? I want to take a closer look."
"Yeah sure."
'Hook, line, and sinker.' Leo's father thought as the kid handed Chip to him which he looked over the stuffed dragon, "Huh quite craftsmanship here. What do you call the little guy?"
"His name is Raphael. He's pretty cool right?" the kid asked smiling a bit satisfied that his lie seemed to convinced him.
"Well I can't help but notice something here..." Leo's father pulled off a velcro patch that the kid didn't notice before, "Cause this clearly says, Leo Logan, and his name is Chip. Now how do you explain that?" He showed the kid the patch at that allowing him to see.
"Well, I uh..." the kid tried to nervously think of something to say out of this.
"I understand that you would want your own Blue-Eyes but it's not right to steal." Leo's father mentioned. "I'm sure if you ask your parents they'll be willing to get you your own."
Leo's mother with Yudo walked over just as his father handed Chip back to him which Yudo hugged it close to him with tears, "Chip!"
Being the kind woman she is Leo's mother offered her hand. "Do you want to come with us so you can buy a Raphael of your own?"
"I uh..." the kid didn't know what to say about that.
In the end he accepted there offer, and later they were back at home where both Leo's parents see him hugging Chip close to him almost like a stuffed Teddy Bear. In fact Chip IS in fact his Teddy Bear.
"Yes Mommy," he nodded with a smile.
His parents both smiled at that. Since then no kid had bullied him because of Chip again, and Yudo always felt comforted by his parents always helping him since then.
End Flashback...
From thinking of those memories he started crying harder.
"It's ok Yudo, it's ok." Amy whispered softly.
How could Yudo not be? The family love he felt he had lost, the love he felt since his parents we're alive? It was back, and now he's surrounded by it as part of his sister, and girlfriend looking forward to the future.
"Do you want to get some air?" Carlita asked.
He slowly nodded sniffing taking Chip out of his backpack hugging it close.
"I'll let the others know where you're going." Amy smiled before turning to Carlita. "Take care of him."
"I will." Carlita nodded with a smile.
With that Carlita, and Yudo walked out together while Amy walks back to tell everyone.
"What?" Alito questioned. "They're on their own, great which way did they go? If those two find them they could be in big trouble."
"I wouldn't underestimate those two though." Yuya said to him.
"Still, we should try and find them just to be safe." Mizar mentioned.
"Should we though?" they looked at Yuma who shrugged, "I mean, it sounded like he needs some time with someone he cares about. I been through that before."
Shark just frowned before closing his eyes in thought.
Meanwhile with Carlita and Yudo...
They were both walking out the streets of Heartland staying close together in case a member of Duel Academy finds them.
"What made you name him Chip?" Carlita asked curiously.
Yudo blushed before admitting, "It just came to me."
"I think it's cute." Carlita smiled before blushing. "Actually, what names do you like?"
He looked at her curiously.
"I... my sister and I used to..." Carlita started before they heard someone up ahead cry out as they heard an explosion.
"What was that!?" Yudo cried startled.
"I don't know." Carlita admitted as they ran only to see a man in a white magician outfit on his back clearly defeated as a cloaked figure stood opposite him with a Duel Academy Duel Disk.
Without thinking of the man Yudo ran standing against the cloaked figure with a determined expression.
"Who are you?" questioned a male voice Yudo recognized.
"Aster." Yudo said hearing his voice.
"How do you know who I am?" the person questioned lowering their hood revealing it to be Aster Phoenix.
"I heard about you from Yuri." Yudo answered that question, "Along that my friends told me about someone using Destiny cards."
Aster's eyes widened. "You know Yuri and aren't a card? Just who are you?"
"It's a long story but I'm a Lancer." Yudo said to him hearing that, "And I won't let you hurt anyone else here."
Aster just glared at him before activating his Duel Disk. "I've heard of the Lancers. Let's see if you can put up more of a fight that he did."
Yudo without turning his head told Carlita, "Carlita take him, and head somewhere safe. I'll keep Aster off you two."
"I'm not abandoning you!" Carlita told him as Aster's eyes widened.
"What the, you look just like..." Aster started before frowning and shaking his head. "You go first."
"Well just stay back!" Yudo said readying his Duel Disk.

Yudo blinked as Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer charged in tackling Crystal General destroying him easily, and leaving Yudo's field opened.
"Now I'll activate another of Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer's abilities but we can get to that later." Aster smirked. "For now, I attack you directly with Dystopia!"
Dystopia charged to punching Yudo who stepped back already falling behind. (Yudo: 1800/Hand: 3)
"I end my turn with one facedown card. Which also means Forbidden Dress wears off." Aster told Yudo.

"Maybe, though if you're asking Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer's other ability summons any Destiny HERO from his graveyard during the Standby Phase after it gets destroyed." Yuri told him. "Including itself which means Aster's about to bring his new Fusion Monster back."
Yudo nodded before drawing, "Okay I draw!" Looking at his drawn card, he nodded, "Alright I use Crystal Fortitude!"

You can Ritual Summon this card with, "Crystal Fortitude". Gains 500 ATK for every "Crystal" monster in your GY with different names. Once per turn, you can pay 1000 LP: Target 1 monster your opponent controls, that target loses 1000 ATK until the End Phase. If this card in your possession is destroyed by an opponent's card (by battle or by effect): You can target 2 "Crystal" monsters in your GY with the same Level but with different names, Special Summon them but banish them when they leave the field. You can only activate this effect of "Crystal Sorcerer Paotia" per turn.
"For every Crystal in the graveyard with a different name he gains 500 attack points." Yudo explained to Aster as Paotia meditated gaining power.

"Huh why did it's points lower?" Yudo asked confused.
"For every HERO in my graveyard Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer weakens your mounters attack points by 200 and I have four of them." Aster answered.
Yudo now getting it nodded before saying, "Well to take care of the bigger threat, I use Paotia's ability!" He glowed at this giving energy to Paotia who's staff glowed. (Yudo: 0800/Hand: 1) "By paying 1000 points, Dystopia loses 1000 attack points!"
Paotia raised his staff as Dystopia glowed weakening.
Destiny HERO Dystopia: (ATK: 2800 - 1000 = 1800)
Aster smirked. "Big mistake, when Dystopia's attack points are different I can destroy any card on the field and then his attack points return to normal. I destroy Crystal Sorcerer Paotia!"
Yudo's eyes widen as Dystopia armed a palm at Paotia, "Noble Justice!" A big vortex from the palm sucked in Paotia eliminating the Ritual Monster.
'It not only deals damage when summoned but it also destroys a card when it's attack points are different?' Yudo thought amazed from this while Dystopia regained the power Yudo made him lose, 'He's not like the Aster I'm familiar with...'
Destiny HERO Dystopia: (ATK: 1800 + 1000 = 2800)
"Any last words?" Aster taunted.
Yudo grunted before saying, "Yeah several!" The graveyard portal opened surprising Aster which his opponent explained, "If Paotia is destroyed by your card, then I can summon back Swordsman, and Guppy!"
At that Swordsman, and Guppy popped back out of the graveyard readying.

"Then I use Swordsman's ability to draw a card, and show it." He drew looking before saying, "And while revealing it, I'll use it!" He placed down the card, "Crystal Mage!"

Masquerade's sealed form appeared before deforming into his true form readying it's rings.

"Well right now I use one of Masquerade's abilities!" The Number's rings glowed as Aster's Deck glowed, "Your forced to send the top card of your Deck to the graveyard!"
Aster frowned sending the card.
"And now I use Crystal Adversity!" Yudo added using the Rank-Up-Magic card he sent earlier.

"I use the effect Crystal Adversity gave Royal Guard!" Royal Guard takes another Unit in his spear. (ORU: 3 - 2) "D - Chain's activation, and effect is negated!"
Aster's eyes widened at that as his trap vanished.
Destiny HERO - Dystopia: (ATK: 3300 - 500 = 2800)
Without it Royal Guard pierced his spear through Dystopia destroying it while Aster braced against the small damage. (Aster: 3100/Hand: 0) He glared at Yudo from this while the boy added, "Due to Royal Guard's ability, I can't attack you directly this turn."
Aster frowned at that.
"But due to Swordsman's ability since his ability is a soft once per turn, I can draw a card, and show it." Yudo drew again showing it was Emergency Gem before setting it, "With the end of this turn, Swordsman is destroyed."
Swordsman shattered at this.

Aster 2nd Turn:
Aster drew his card. "Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer's special ability summons Dystopia from my graveyard and since he was Special Summoned you take damage equal to Destiny HERO - Drilldark's attack points!"
Dystopia rose up charging the blast as Yudo blinked, 'I thought he would go with Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer since it's power would bypass Royal Guard, and allow him to summon it back when destroyed.'
Aster smirked as Dystopia fired the blast.
Yudo called, "Well I use Crystal Barian's ability!" It popped taking the blast, "By banishing it, and forcing Royal Guard to lose points equal to the damage, I recover life points equal to half of the damage!"
Crystal Royal Guard: (ATK: 2900 - 1600 = 1300)
(Yudo: 1600/Hand: 1)
Aster's eyes widened before he frowned. "Fine, Dystopia attack Noble Justice!"
Dystopia charged in punching Royal Guard destroying him while Yudo braced himself. (Yudo: 0300/Hand: 1) That didn't bother Yudo as he called, "Well now I can use Emergency Gem!"

"When a Crystal is destroyed in battle, I can summon a Ritual Monster from my hand by banishing WATER monsters from my hand or graveyard!" Yudo called as the graveyard portal opened, "So I banish Guppy, and Swordsman!"
The two vanished as the altar appeared just as ice gathered around.

The ice broke revealing Frozen Heart roaring loud.

Yudo called, "By banishing Emergency Gem, I can summon a Fusion Monster by using banished monsters along with making there Attributes DARK!"
Aster frowned hearing that. Swordsman, and Guppy were shuffled as Yudo raised an arm, "Alright I Fusion Summon! Come, Starving Venom Fusion Dragon!"
What emerged in between Umbral Horror Masquerade, and Frozen Heart was Starving Venom roaring loud.

Aster froze seeing the monster. "That's impossible!"
"Well since I Fusion Summoned him, I can have him gain Dystopia's attack points!"

"But they won't stay for long! I use Starving Venom's other ability!" Starving Venom shot it's vines attaching at Dystopia's shoulders taking it's power.
Starving Venom: (Name: Destiny HERO Dystopia/Gains effect of Destiny HERO Dystopia)
"This isn't real, it can't be happening." Aster frowned. "How do you have his card?"
"And now I use the ability Starving Venom gained! Noble Justice!"
Starving Venom summoned a vortex forcing Dystopia into it.
Starving Venom: (ATK: 5600 / 2 = 2800)
"But it won't be there long cause, I use Frozen Heart's ability to Tribute him, and have Starving Venom gain half his points!"
Frozen Heart vanished with his armor attaching itself to Starving Venom powering it up.
Starving Venom: (ATK: 2800 + (2400 / 2) = 4000)
"And now Starving Venom attack Aster with Megaflare Attack!" Starving Venom charged a blast firing it at Aster.
"No you don't, I discard Destiny HERO - Dynatag from my hand to negate the damage from your attack then we both lose 1000 life points!" Aster called.
Yudo only called, "Then good thing I have this! I activate Umbral Horror Masquerade's ability!" He raised his arm as Masquerade floated up with his wings glowing pink.
"What?" Aster questioned.
"By using an Overlay Unit when you use a Monster Effect, Umbral Horror Masquerade can cancel your monster's ability! Then if you have a card in your hand, it's discarded, and you lose half your life points!" Yudo called as Masquerade takes it's only unit, "Dark Blunder!" (ORU: 1 - 0)
Masquerade fired a pink blast at Aster. Aster's eyes widened as Dynatag's ability failed. "No way!"
Starving Venom finished the attack defeating Aster.

Yudo watches before he then blinked, "Did... Did I really defeat a Legendary Duelist like Aster?"
"Young man, that was incredible, how did you do that?" asked the man who Aster had defeated.
"Well it's a bit of a-" Yudo started turning over only to froze seeing him, "H-Heartland!?"
"You know me?" he asked before just frowning. "We need to go before he calls reinforcements. That guy's the one in charge of the invaders."
Yudo quickly said to Carlita, "Carlita get away from him he's a bad guy!"
"Huh, what are you talking about?" Carlita asked him.
"He's obviously not the same Heartland from your show." Yuri reminded Yudo.
'Even if he isn't, he should still be like the original one. Astral, and the Barians are all here with the Numbers, and some of the events played like before, and if Heartland is here then he must be up to something!' Yudo told Yuri at that.
Ulrich362: Sounds like Yudo doesn't trust Heartland. Not that he doesn't have a good reason to be distrustful of him.
