As Lu ten was on a date with guy Lin who have been his boyfriend of five years had told him about how he finds his father at that jasmine dragon tea shop that people was talk about best tea in the earth kingdom.
How he walks right back out the tea shop because he is afraid what his father will react that his son been alive this whole time or his cousin who don't where he is too.
One day during their date night that Lin said now that the war is over and you should talk to your father that he missed you probably grief for you for a long time that this be a shock for him for find out that you are alive.
Five years ago after Lu ten was release from prison during the time the war had end and find what to and about his life or his family know he is alive though out the years.
One day Lu ten met Lin and as they was talking to get know each other that where Lin find out who Lu ten truly was. Lu ten told him about his background and his family when they first start dating after know each other for two years.
Lin was scared of him at first for being from fire nation but Lin start to realize that how crazy and messy up his family with being power hungry truly is.
Lu ten meant the only good members in his family is his young cousin Zuko, his father Iroh and his aunt Ursa. Lin got over being scared and saw the real person he was that later along the line Lin falls in love with him that Lu ten have some good in him.
When the fire nation took over Ba Se Sing that Lu ten decide to hid who he was and that he change his name so he can go to one of the air temples as a safe net even if he have to leave Lin behind.
Lin had understand why Lu ten have to leave because don't want to expose his own nation that he actually is alive all this time.
After the war and when it was safe to come back after heard that the new fire nation leader declare the war over. Lin welcome him back and how he miss him so much while he was gone but also meant about he saw your father fight the fire nation with some other benders that look like from different nation.
Lu ten explain that is order of the white lotus and that it a secret organization that they must take back the city from the fire nation. Lin said how that they have all the earth kingdom citizens to safety so that anyone not accident get cross in the fight and Lu ten was happy bout that so he knows that his boyfriend was safely from the battle.
The one thing that Lin don't want tell his boyfriend yet about he find out that his cousin Zuko who look all grow up and crown new fire nation leader apart from the picture Lu ten show him year ago.
