After saying goodbye to the Carmine's and leaving the warehouse building, I immediately took notice of the white snake person. Recognizing him, I sprang up to him and embraced him quickly.
"I'm so glad you're here!" I cried out, hugging Sir Pentious tightly in joy and happiness, "I- I thought you died! And- and I I thought- And now- now- Look at you!"
Me and the rest of us took in Sir Pentious's new form. It was a lighter version of the version we last saw before the battle against the exorcists. Not to mention some slightly lighter changes that made him look more light and heavenly.
I knew he was alive after Luster explained but… it's still so-
"You went to Heaven after you died," Vaggie stated, looking at him and then at the angels who were relatives.
"Yesss," He said with a smile he gave to everyone after the hug i gave him, "When I ssssacrificed mysssself, I ssssomehow got redeemed. One moment Adam was about to blasssst me to ssssmithereenssss and then the next, I was in front of Emily and SSSSera.
All of us listened intently. This means so much! Not only is Sir Pentious back but this means that my hotel worked! There is a way to redeem sinners! I did it! We all did it!
"So, what's heaven like?" Angel asked, looking at the angels around him, "And maybe an introduction might be good."
The girl with the bat ears was the first to introduce herself, "My name's Dolores Madrigal."
"And I'm Luisa Madrigal," the muscular girl with the donkey ears replied and then looked at her hermanita, "And where have you been, sis? Everyone's worried about you."
"Wait, you guysss are related?" Sir Pentious asked, processing what he was hearing.
"Yep," Vaggie replied nervously, "It's a long and complicated story. But what are you three doing here anyway?"
The three angels looked at each other and then back at the others. Judging by their troubled faces, what they have to say on how they got here and why is probably something.
"Maybe not here though," Husk said, looking around at the open.
Right. We're still in public. And I don't think any of us liked the idea of others finding out that there are angels here in Hell.
"Right. We should probably go back to the hotel. And maybe without anyone knowing."
As I suggested this, everyone nodded at once.
Luckily, we were able to get to the hotel without anyone with the hoods that our new guest had brought to blend in. With this, no one was able to suspect us and we were able to get there safely… well, safely as we can get in Hell.
Hopefully, Dolores and Luisa aren't too on edge since it's their first time.
"Welcome to the Hazbin Hotel!" I exclaimed, showing off the big building in front of us as we arrived.
The two angels looked at the tall bright and flashy building with amazement and awe, taking in the sight before them. The hotel was truly a marvel, huh?
Even Sir Pentious was amazed. Of course, considering we rebuilt the place.
"Thissss is amazing!" he exclaimed, looking wide eyed at the newly improved hotel, "You all did great!"
"It's spectacular," Luisa commented, agreeing along with him.
"Why is it called the Hazbin Hotel?" Dolores curiously asked.
I thought about it for a moment, "Well, it used to be called the 'Happy Hotel' but then Alastor came and decided to help out and then change the name. Huh, you know I never thought why he did it but maybe I should ask him next time."
"Whose-"
"You don't want to know," Husk interrupted the question with disdain, "Well, you will meet him eventually but best to stay away. Trust me."
Even though they weren't sure what he meant, the newcomers realized that Husk was dead serious. Along with everyone else. They kept his word.
As we got inside, all of us sat down around the lobby, this one question in all our heads.
What are we going to do now?
Vaggie looked at her angel sister and cousin, "So, why are you guys here exactly? And how? Last time I checked only exorcists, archangels, and God himself can enter Hell. And the last two are on a long-term vacation."
The three of them looked at each other and then back at the rest, "Let'ssss just ssssay not all exorcistsss are treated. You of all people would know thissss, Vagatha." Sir Pentious stated.
"Still not my name." Vaggie stated, yet still confused, "And what do you mean by that?"
"Weeell, we kind of sort of… took things into our own hands to get here by… kidnapping an Exorcist…" Dolores admitted.
Well, we were definitely surprised enough that you could hear a pin drop.
"WHAT!?"
Dolores winced at all their exact replies, "Hey, careful. I may use these" points at her earmuffs, "to limit my hearing to a degree, but my ears are still somewhat sensitive."
Everyone immediately apologized at that, taking note to minding her ears later in the future.
"Dolores, do you know how dangerous that is? You all could have been hurt!" Vaggie said, worriedly, "Who agreed to this?"
"... Everyone in the family agreed, to be honest…"
"How did you guys manage to pull that off?" I asked, generally curious as Vaggie looked flabbergasted. It must have not been easy trying to struggle with, let alone capture, an Exorcist angel.
"Well, from Mira and Bella, my daughters by the way," Vaggie and Isabela perked up at the names surprised, "said that she was just there doing nothing and that she was pretty vulnerable. Well, now that I think about it, it all kind of makes sense now."
"Lily?" Husk asked.
"That's what we call her. She doesn't really have a name." Luisa explained.
"Would this girl happen to be some white humanoid dragon with black hair, fidgets a lot, and a timid voice?" Vaggie asked them.
Dolores nodded, "Yeah, that's her. How do you know her?"
Vaggie freezed at the question along with everyone else. Yeah… I guess we should explain to them that….
"I used to be an exorcist," she admitted, looking down in shame that made my heart ache. The two angels widened their eyes. "Before you ask, exorcists don't remember anything from when they were alive so that they can control us easier. I only just started remembering things a few days ago. That's why I couldn't come back to you guys."
"Those jerks…" Luisa said angrily, fisting her hands in nager while Dolores looked like she was muttering curses in spanish.
"Yeah…" Vaggie agreed wholeheartedly, "But yeah, I know about her. I hear Lute talk shit about her a lot. I may not spend time with her much considering she's one of the extra-training soldiers, but I can't help but feel bad. Souls like her don't deserve the treatment she goes through. Is she alright?" she asked, sounding concerned and hopeful.
Sir Pentious nodded with reassurance, "SSSShe'ssss ssssafe at the moment. SSShe'sss away from them."
My girlfriend sighed in relief.
I want to ask what this "treatment" is but I don't think it would be anything good… and I don't think now would be the best time for me to get angry at the moment.
"Anyways, we managed to convince her to help us and here we are." the bat angel explained, "Now, explain to us what's going on. What have you guys been doing here, who was that guy and how do you" points at her brother, "Know him, and everything else. Like why us and the rest of the familia went through a shock wave of memories. We know they came from you, Mirabel."
Oh, yeah. That. So the magical surge of miracle energy did reach Heaven… meaning Heaven, including Lute and Sera, now knows about that… yeah, that's not good.
"Kind of weird and complicated to explain." Isabela admitted, not really wanting to get into the details.
Dolores sits patiently staring at us, "We have all the time in the world. Now spill."
We told them everything. About how Vaggie was experiencing memories in her dreams. How we were trying to figure out what they mean. How she had gotten drunk and started regaining some of her lost memories. And how she had a mental breakdown and caused the shockwave.
The addicts also explained their story. How they found each other. How Camilo knew Qiang and how their relationship went shit. How they made themselves a drug business. And when the shockwave started to hit, causing them to realize Vaggie was here.
They were definitely speechless to say the least.
"Wow…" Luisa finally said after we were done, "You all went through that much?"
"Meh, a normal day in Hell." Angel Dust said plainly, "Well, except for the shockwave. That was all Vaggie's fault."
Vaggie glared at the spider demon menacingly. Then she sighed, already used to it, and moved her attention back to her angel relatives. "You do realize you still need to find a way back, right? Not to mention Heaven might find out that some of their denizens are missing, right?"
Luisa was about to say something to prove wrong, only to widen her eyes as it looked like she came to a suddenly too late realization, "Mierda, we didn't think that far ahead."
Well, that's certainly not good.
Dolores was just as worried as all of them but tried to think of the bright side, "Well, maybe the rest of the family might realize this and would try to do whatever they can. They still have Lily by their side so that's reassuring, right?"
Well, I guess. Let's just hope they realize these things in time.
Vaggie shrugged unsurely. She seems like she trusts them on this. But the slight crease of her brows told me that she's still worried. For both how this goes and what it might mean for her family.
I could tell all of this is making her on edge. I went to her side and gave her a warm side hug, to which she smiled at me with that cute smile of hers, showing that my plan of cheering her up had worked.
I looked at her family members who were watching, "Why don't you all have some bonding time here until word from heaven comes around. I'm sure you all want to spend time together catching up."
The Madrigals gave me happy smiles, thinking that it might be a good idea. To spend time with each other.
I can't help but smile widely at Vaggie's loving and appreciative gaze at me. She needs this. To reconnect with her family. To remember and spend time with the family she hasn't seen in who knows how long.
I'll make sure she will be happy. No matter what might happen in the future.
