(Razor Back)
Victor returns to the table after thirty minutes in the cage to find his little mate still sitting in Logan's lap. Zoe had her face in Logan's neck while Logan's hands pulled her close to his chest. Victor cleared his throat, but Zoe didn't move and stayed in place. Logan peering up at Victor with a sheepish grin, gently trying to disentangle himself from Zoe's grip. "Sorry, she just loves cuddling," he explains, as Zoe had fallen asleep.
Victor started sitting down in his chair. Logan said, "Vic, it would appear that Darlin has fallen asleep." Victor chuckled softly, nodding in understanding. "Looks like she's comfortable," he replied, gesturing for Logan to leave her be. As they continued their conversation, Victor couldn't help but smile at the peaceful sight of Zoe resting in Logan's arms.
As Victor reached over, picking one of the pitchers that was half full, he noticed that the other pitcher was empty. Victor said, "Damn Jimmy." "You must have been thirty." Logan chuckled, "It was Darlin doing." Victor poured himself a drink, raising his glass in a silent toast to their sleeping friend. "Cheers to Darlin sweetheart, always finding a way to liven up the party," Victor said with a grin. Logan nodded in agreement, taking a sip of his own drink as they settled in for the night.
Logan hears Zoe mumbling in her sleep, "Daddy, where are you?" "Daddy, I can't find you." Logan rubbed Zoe's back gently, whispering, "I'm right here, Darlin." Victor peered over at his little mate and realized that she must be having a nightmare. Logan and Victor didn't realize that it was a memory when Hayley was three years old, when her father left her in the woods at the age of three to die.
Victor said, "Why don't we take our little mate back to her cabin to get some sleep?" Logan asked, "Vic, do you know where her cabin is?" Victor said, "No!" Logan reached over, picking up Darlin's backpack and sitting it on the table. Victor reached over, grabbing Zoe's backpack, pulling it closer to him, and opening it to discover a laptop, an envelope full of cash, a passport, a notebook, a wooden box, a key, and a map.
Victor took out the map in Hayley's backpack and located her cabin in the woods. They decided to take her back to safety before she woke up from her nightmare. Victor didn't realize each item in his sweetheart backpack was important one way or another. But soon he would find out the true significance of each item as they unraveled the mystery of Hayley's life. The contents of her backpack only added to the mystery, leaving him wondering what secrets she was hiding.
Logan felt when Zoe nuzzled into his neck. Her warm breath against his skin sent shivers down his spine, making him realize how much he had missed her touch. In that moment, he knew he never wanted to let her go again. Victor was peering at the map to notice that Zoe's cabin was on the mountain at the highest peak.
As he studied the map, trying to find the best way to get to Hayley's cabin. Victor discovered the best way to her cabin; it was an hour and a half away from Razor back. The distance between the cabin and the bar made Victor wonder what other secrets Zoe might be keeping from him. He couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to her than met the eye, and he was determined to uncover the truth.
The bartender approached Logan, Victor, and Zoe and handed Victor two stacks of cash, saying, "Here is the money for the cage fighting." Logan and Victor were shocked to learn that it was what they had created from the cage fight. "Is this money from Victor and myself?" asked Logan. "No!" the bartender responded. By eliminating 24 opponents before entering the cage, you were able to earn the majority of the money from Queen of the Cage.
Logan and Victor were surprised to discover that their little mate took on 24 opponents before Logan stepped in the cage. Logan grinned and said, "I told you she was a force to be reckoned with." Victor said, "Our little mate is one of a kind." "I wouldn't have her any other way." Zoe nuzzled Logan's neck again.
The bartender asked, "Are you staying in the area?" Victor said, "On the next mountain." The bartender looked surprised and said, "You're staying on Death Mountain." Victor asked, "Why is it called Death Mountain?" The bartender said, "Dangerous place; people go missing all the time, never to be seen again." Victor and Logan exchanged a knowing glance before Victor replied, "Sounds like our kind of place."
Zoe moved her head and said, "I own that whole mountain from base to tip, front and back of the mountain." As the bartender walked away, Logan asked, "Darlin!" "Why did you buy Death Mountain?" Zoe smiled and said, "There used to be a serial killer who lived on the mountain." "Besides, it would be a prime location for the development of luxury cabins and resorts with breathtaking views."
The thought of converting Death Mountain into opulent cabins and resorts with stunning vistas makes Victor smile. Before Victor could say anything, Zoe added, "Plus, it's a great opportunity to revitalize the area and bring in tourism revenue." Zoe's idea for Death Mountain's future impressed Victor, who nodded in accord.
Zoe said, "So how did your business meeting go?" Victor said, "We had hiccups." Zoe said, "Mr. Anderson stated that you had a hacker get into your Creed Inc. computer and fuck you all up." Victor sighed, "Yes, unfortunately. It was a major setback." Zoe sympathetically replied, "I'm sorry to hear that." "Hopefully, you can recover quickly and get back on track."
Zoe said, "I read in the paper that Miss Johnson is dead. She drowned in a swimming pool." Victor nodded solemnly. "Yes, it's a tragic loss for Creed Inc. in this deal." Zoe stood up from Logan's lap, grabbed cash, her back pack, putting cash inside, and the map.
Zoe peered up at Victor and said, "That's not what I heard." "Miss Johnson was plainly overtaking Creed Inc." "Once the deal was done." Victor raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Really?" "That's news to me." Zoe nodded. "Yes, it seems like there's more to this story than meets the eye." "Besides, that bitch couldn't swim when her head was held underwater.
Victor and Logan realized that Zoe had killed Miss Johnson. They exchanged a look of shock before Logan spoke up, "Zoe, what did you do?" Zoe's eyes hardened as she replied, "I did what needed to be done to protect Creed Inc." "Besides, she shouldn't touch what is mine." Zoe grabbed Logan's leather jacket and walked out the front door. The men were left speechless, unsure of what to do next.
Logan said, "Darlin, isn't so innocent after all." Victor added, "She's willing to do whatever it takes to protect her mates and my company, even if it means resorting to murder." As Victor and Logan got up from the table, they realized Zoe took all the money with her. Logan peered down and realized his leather jacket was gone and said, "Damn, Darlin, she took my jacket. "Looks like Zoe's got a few tricks up her sleeve," Victor chuckled. Logan just shook his head in disbelief, knowing that Zoe was not to be underestimated.
As Victor and Logan started walking to the front door of Razor back. Stepping outside and noticing Zoe's scent didn't go to the parking lot; it went to the woods. Victor said, "It would appear that our little mate is traveling on foot."
Logan said, "Let her enjoy running through the woods." "Her feral side must love running through the trees." Victor nodded in agreement, knowing that Zoe's wolf instincts were likely guiding her through the forest.
(Drive to Hayley Cabin)
Victor and Logan head to Vic's car to drive to Zoe's cabin. The drive is long, but the two friends pass the time with laughter and talk about their little mate. As they drive up the road leading to the cabin, they notice a male moose standing in the road. When flashes of their mate attack the moose, knocking it down and biting its neck.
Logan said, "Darlin is getting dinner for us." The two friends watch in awe as their mate effortlessly takes down the moose. Victor chuckles, "Looks like we won't be going hungry tonight." Both Victor and Logan get the Victor car and move to the front of the car, hearing moose crying out last time.
Victor and Logan notice that the moose kicked a few times and cry for the last time. As they moved their eyes to their mate as she bit down on moose neck. Her claws dig into the flesh, securing her meal. Logan exclaims, "She's a natural hunter! Impressed by my little mate's hunting prowess, Victor nods his approval.
Both Logan's and Victor's feral sides came out as they moved next to her. Logan used a claws, shoving it into the moose heart, making sure it was dead. Zoe let go of the moose neck, peering up at Victor and Logan, and started growling at both of them. Victor and Logan peered into Zoe's golden eyes and realized that the feral side was out. They knew that she was truly a force to be reckoned with in the wild. The bond between them grew stronger as they embraced their primal instincts together.
Victor slowly moved closer, giving a deep growl that rumbled in his chest, showing he was her Alpha. Zoe growled at Victor, her eyes narrowing in a challenge, but then softened as she nuzzled against him, acknowledging his position as Alpha male. Logan moved next to Victor, seeing Zoe had the blood on her lips, and watched Victor lick the blood off her chin. Logan reached down, licking the blood from her neck, sealing their bond as a united pack.
Zoe stepped back and said, "Pick that up." "I meet at the cabin," Zoe dashed into the woods, leaving Victor and Logan behind with her kill. Logan said, "It's like Darlin and her feral side are fighting for control over her body." Victor nodded in agreement, his eyes reflecting concern for Zoe's internal struggle.
Both Victor and Logan understood fighting with their feral side was most difficult, but they were determined to support Zoe in any way they could. Victor picked up the dead moose and placed it in the back trunk next to food that he got earlier that day. As they both got back inside Victor's car and started driving down the road.
(Hayley cabin)
It took Logan and Victor about thirty minutes to reach Hayley's cabin; around the last bend, they noticed the cabin was two stories, with a large front porch. The cabin was nestled among tall pine trees, giving it a secluded and peaceful atmosphere. As they approached, they noticed Hayley in the front yard chopping firewood. Both Victor and Logan notice the strength in her arms as she effortlessly swung the ax. They could see the determination in her eyes as she focused on her task, adding to her aura of independence and resilience.
As Victor parked in his car, he couldn't help but feel a sense of admiration for Hayley's self-sufficiency. Logan, on the other hand, made a mental note to offer his help with the firewood so that she wouldn't have it again. Even seeing her use the ax with such ease, he knew she could use a hand every now and then.
Logan and Victor get out of the car, and Victor peers around, making sure that everything is alright. Logan walked over to his darling to offer his assistance with the firewood. Zoe stopped and peered at Logan and said, "Thanks for the offer, as she handed the ax to Logan. Zoe leans in, giving Logan a kiss.
Victor saw loggers' equipment. "I guess you notice it," replied Zoe as she approached Victor. "I would peer those loggers on my mountain." "Their scent is fresh; it must have left soon as the sun went down." Victor grunts and plans to take care of it first thing in the morning. "I will take care of it first thing in the morning," Victor responded, turning into a darling.
Victor looked at the truck's name on the side that was still in the yard. "They might have trouble moving their equipment tomorrow, Zoe added. Victor peered down at Zoe and asked, "Why is that?" Zoe said, "Once they realized they realized that trucks will not started." I remove all the don't have spark plugs." Victor chuckled at Zoe's clever idea and nodded in agreement.
As Victor put his arm around Zoe's waist and said, "Where did you put their spark plugs?" Zoe mischievous grin and said, "I hid them over their in burn bearer." Victor laughed and replied, "That should teach them not to leave their equipment lying around."
