Symbiote Jesse Quick vs the ISA -Part 2

Meanwhile, on the dark streets below, the symbiote-controlled Jesse stood still, almost as if sensing the approach of her enemies. The suit rippled and shifted, responding to the heightened sense of danger.

'They come for me', the symbiote hissed, its excitement growing. "Fools. They think they can stop us. But this body is mine now, and I will show them my power."

A low hum of energy vibrated through Jesse's form, and the symbiote exuded a wave of malicious intent. "Let them come. I will enjoy this."

Suddenly, from the shadows, a burst of icy energy shot towards Jesse. Icicle emerged, his cold breath hanging in the air. The blast of ice hit Jesse square in the chest — or rather, it hit the symbiote, which absorbed the blow with ease. The gooey black substance rippled, but Jesse's body didn't budge.

Icicle raised an eyebrow. "Impressive," he muttered, summoning more ice to his hands. "But not enough."

Before Icicle could unleash another attack, Jesse moved — or rather, the symbiote moved her. Faster than a blink, Jesse's body shot forward, closing the gap between them in a split second. Her fist, covered in the black, gooey substance, slammed into Icicle's chest with enough force to send him crashing through a wall.

The symbiote smiled through Jesse's lips. "Yes… so weak. So easy to crush."

Sportsmaster and Tigress appeared next, flanking Jesse from either side. They struck in tandem — Tigress with her claws, Sportsmaster with his batons. But the symbiote was ready. It had full control of Jesse's reflexes, her speed, her strength. It dodged every blow with terrifying precision, twisting and contorting Jesse's body in ways that made it look almost inhuman.

"Too slow," the symbiote taunted, Jesse's voice now cold and mechanical, completely devoid of the warmth it once had.

With a flick of her wrist, the symbiote sent out tendrils of black goo, wrapping around Sportsmaster's batons and yanking them from his hands. At the same time, it delivered a devastating kick to Tigress, sending her sprawling to the ground.

"You're no match for me," the symbiote sneered, its voice dripping with disdain. "This body is superior. Faster. Stronger. And you… are nothing."

Sportsmaster gritted his teeth, scrambling to his feet. "What the hell is this thing?"

But before he could react, the symbiote lunged at him, grabbing him by the throat and lifting him off the ground with ease. The black goo began to spread from Jesse's hand onto Sportsmaster's neck, tightening its grip like a vise.

"Jesse!" Icicle's voice rang out, cutting through the chaos. He had recovered from the earlier blow and now stood with a massive shard of ice aimed directly at Jesse's heart. "You need to stop this. You're being controlled!"

But the symbiote laughed, a chilling, hollow sound. "Controlled? No. I am in control. She is merely a vessel."

It squeezed Sportsmaster's throat tighter, enjoying the look of panic in his eyes. "And soon, you will all learn your place beneath me."

Just as the symbiote was about to crush Sportsmaster's windpipe, Brainwave unleashed a psychic blast. The force of the telepathic attack hit Jesse's mind hard, and for a split second, the symbiote faltered.

"No… No! I will not be stopped!"

But Brainwave pressed harder, focusing all of his psychic energy on breaking through the symbiote's control. Inside Jesse's mind, her consciousness stirred, vaguely aware of the battle but still trapped in the fog of sleep.

"Wake up, Jesse!" Brainwave's voice echoed through her mind. "You're being used! Fight it!"

The symbiote snarled, lashing out with tendrils of black goo that shot toward Brainwave, but he erected a psychic shield just in time, blocking the attack. "Jesse, you have to wake up!"

For the first time, the symbiote felt a flicker of resistance from within its host. Jesse's mind was stirring, pushing back against the darkness. "No… she cannot awaken. She is mine!"

But Jesse's will was strong. Even in her sleep, she fought back, struggling to regain control of her body.

In the physical world, Jesse's body trembled as the symbiote fought to maintain its hold. The black goo writhed and twisted, becoming more erratic, more unstable.

Icicle saw his chance and summoned a massive wave of ice, sending it crashing toward Jesse. The symbiote screamed in frustration, barely managing to dodge the attack. But in its distraction, Brainwave pushed deeper into Jesse's mind, breaking through the final barriers.

With a gasp, Jesse's eyes snapped open, her mind fully awake. She blinked in confusion, disoriented by the sudden onslaught of sensations. "W-What… What's happening?"

The symbiote shrieked in her mind, its hold on her weakening. "No! You are mine!"

But Jesse, now fully aware of the symbiote's presence, fought back with all her might. She could feel it writhing inside her, trying to take control again, but she wouldn't let it.

"Get out of my head!" Jesse screamed, her voice raw with effort.

The symbiote roared in fury, its black goo pulsing and swirling around her body. But with one final surge of willpower, Jesse forced the symbiote to retreat, pulling its tendrils back into her suit.

She stumbled forward, gasping for breath, her body trembling from the strain. The symbiote was still there, still clinging to her, but for now, she had control.

The members of the Injustice Society lay scattered around her, beaten and bruised, but alive. Jesse looked down at her hands, still covered in the black goo, and felt a shiver of dread crawl down her spine.

This wasn't over. Not by a long shot.
