"H-Hi Cynthia, it's nice to meet you!" Ash stammers slightly, feeling a little flustered by her beauty and the unexpected praise. "And thank you, Nurse Joy. I'm Ash, by the way."
Pikachu chimes in with a friendly 'Pika!' as Ash shakes hands with Cynthia."I'd love to exchange some tips and strategies sometime! Maybe we could battle each other too, see how our Pokemon match up."Ash states with a smile.
Nurse Joy smiles warmly."I'm sure you two will get along splendidly! Now, Ash, what brings you to the Pokemon Center today? Your Pokemon look like they could use some rest."
The raven haired trainer takes a moment to gather his thoughts, then leans in close to speak in hushed tones. "Actually, Nurse Joy, I came here because I need your help with something - but it needs to be kept very, very secret. Can you keep this between us?"
Both Nurse Joy and Cynthia look at him wondering why he's acting so strangely.
Ash glances at Cynthia, then back to Nurse Joy, his face showing concern and a desire for discretion.
Nurse Joy nods seriously, her happy demeanor shifting to one of utmost secrecy. "Of course, Ash. I can be completely discreet. What's the matter?"
Cynthia observes the exchange with interest. Ash takes a moment to gather his thoughts, then leans over the desk to speak in hushed tones. "Actually, Nurse Joy, I came here because I need your help with something - but it needs to be kept very, very secret. Can you keep this between us.?
Cynthia's face takes on a more serious demeanor as she notices the hushed conversation and the looks Ash and Nurse Joy are exchanging. "Ash, if this is a sensitive matter, I completely understand if you'd rather discuss it in private. I can step away if you need me to."
Ash looks at the blonde trainer and after judging her to be trustworthy and tells her she can stay.
Cynthia then gently touches Ash's arm, speaking softly. "Ash, whatever it is, I promise to keep it between us. I've seen enough over the years to know when discretion is needed."
She glances around the now-empty Pokemon Center. "The coast is clear now. We can speak freely."
Ash nods gratefully, relieved by their discretion and support and says"Thank you both so much. I really appreciate your understanding."
Ash takes a deep breath before continuing. "I have a Mew with me, and it was injured by Team Rocket. I was hoping you could heal it, Nurse Joy, but I need to keep its presence here a secret. Can you do that for me?"
Nurse Joy's face lights up with surprise and excitement. "A Mew! Here in Kanto? That's incredible!" She quickly composes herself, remembering the need for secrecy. "Of course I can heal it for you, Ash. I'll use the private treatment room in the back. No one else will know it's here."
Cynthia listens intently, her face reflecting surprise and curiosity. "A Mew? That's truly remarkable, Ash. I can see why you'd want to keep it secret." She places a gentle hand on his shoulder, speaking softly.
"I'd be honored to help you keep this a secret. Mew is such a fascinating and important Pokemon - its presence here could have a major impact on the Pokemon world. I'll make sure no one finds out until you're ready to go public" she finishes speaking with determination in her eyes.
Nurse Joy leads both of the trainers to the back of the Pokemon Center, past rows of empty beds and treatment areas. She stops at a plain-looking door and looks back at them.
"This is our emergency treatment room." Nurse Joy opens the door to reveal a small, sterile-looking room containing various medical equipment and Pokemon treatment devices. "We'll keep Mew in here while I work on it. No one else should have reason to come back here, but I'll make sure to keep watch just in case."
Cynthia nods approvingly . "That's perfect."She glances around the empty lobby. "It looks like Team Rocket must have scared off the usual customers for now." Pikachu nods in agreement, his ears perked up attentively. "Pika!"
Ash gently places Mew's Pokeball in Nurse Joy's hands, noticing her seriousness at holding such a rare and powerful Pokemon. "Please take good care of it, Nurse Joy. It means everything to me."
A few minutes later Ash ask Cynthia about herself and why she's in Kanto if she's from Sinnoh.
Ash listens intently as Cynthia explains how she got to the finals of the Sinnoh league tournament only to lose on the last Pokemon.
Ash turns to Cynthia, his face reflecting sympathy and admiration at her story. "That's really impressive, Cynthia! Reaching the Sinoh League finals is a huge achievement. I'm sure you learned a lot from that experience."
Cynthia's face shows a mix of pride and lingering disappointment. "Thank you, Ash. It was an incredible journey, but losing in the final match left me feeling a bit deflated." She sighs, then smiles brightly
"But you know what? I'm not going to let that setback hold me back! I'm already thinking about how I can train harder and become even stronger for the next challenge. Winning the league is still my ultimate goal."She states with utmost certainty that she will succeed.
Pikachu chimes in with an encouraging 'Pika-pika!' as if to say 'You can do it, Cynthia!' Cynthia chuckles and ruffles Pikachu's fur affectionately .saying "Thanks, little guy. With friends like you and Ash around, I'm sure I'll be back on top in no time!"
She turns her attention back to Asn, her eyes sparkling with renewed determination. "So Ash, what's your plan now?" Cynthia questions Ash.
Ash gathers his thoughts and explains with a grin" I'll win the Indigo league first then travel around the world and win all the leagues !"
Then after a quick breath he continues by stating with upmost confidence "Then ill become the strongest champion ever and become a Pokemon master."
Cynthia listens intently as Ash shares his ambitious goals, her face lighting up with enthusiasm. "That's incredible, Ash! Your drive and determination are truly inspiring."
She moves closer, speaking more quietly. "You know, I've heard that some of the most powerful Pokemon in the world reside in the other regions. If you want to become a true Pokemon Master, you'd need to venture beyond Kanto eventually."
Her face takes on a more serious look as she asks"But first things first you need to focus on your Kanto journey. Have you considered which badge you'll aim for first?"
As Cynthia says this, Nurse Joy emerges from the treatment room, a smile spreading across her face.
"Ash, I have some great news! Mew is responding wonderfully to treatment. The injuries were more superficial than I initially thought, thank goodness. She should be just fine"
She hands the Pokeball back to Ash." She should be back to one hundred precent by tomorrow or the day after" she explains seriously.
Cynthia nods approvingly at Nurse Joy's report. "That's fantastic news, Nurse Joy. You're doing an amazing job."
As they turn to leave, Nurse Joy speaks to them both. "Ash thank you so much for saving our Pokemon Center!"
She says, her smile warm and genuine. "As a token of our gratitude, we'd like to offer both of you free accommodations for as long as you need." Ash and Cynthia exchange looks, surprised and grateful for the generous offer.
"That's incredibly kind of you, Nurse Joy," Cynthia says, bowing slightly in thanks.
"We appreciate your hospitality." Nurse Joy leads them both upstairs to the rooms, handing you each a key.
Ash eagerly leads Cynthia to his room at the Pokemon Center, the excitement of the day still bubbling within him.
As they step inside, he quickly retrieves Mew from its Pokeball, the small pink Pokemon floating curiously around the room, taking in its new surroundings.
They watch Mew with a mixture of affection and concern, knowing the Pokemon is still recovering from its ordeal.
Turning to Cynthia, he says, "I'm so glad Mew is healing well. Nurse Joy and her Chanseys have been amazing with its care."
Cynthia nods, observing Mew with a gentle smile. "It's true a remarkable Pokemon, Ash."
Ash takes a deep breath, steeling his nerves as he prepares to have an important conversation with Mew. He watches the small pink Pokemon float around the room, taking in every detail with its large, curious eyes.
When Mew finally settles down, hovering gently in front of Ash, he meets its gaze with a mix of affection and solemnity. "Mew, I know you've been through a lot, and I want you to know how much I appreciate you trusting me with your care." He pauses, choosing his next words carefully.
His voice softens as he continues, "I understand that your situation is unique, and I want to make sure you feel comfortable and happy before anything else."
After a short pause Ash continues "Mew would you want to stay with me and join my family?
Mew tilts its head to the side, its large blue eyes seeming to search the teenager's face as if trying to understand the depth of his words.
It hovers closer, reaching out a small paw to gently pat Ash's cheek in a comforting gesture. The touch is soft and warm, almost like a gentle breeze. Mew then turns its attention to the window, gazing out at the sunset with a look of contemplation.
It turns back to Ash, its gaze holding a complexity that seems almost human in its depth. After a moment, Mew nods slowly, its body language suggesting acceptance and trust.
Even without any words spoken the message is clear .Mew has chosen to stay with Ash.
Ash smiles warmly at Mew, his heart swelling with gratitude and determination."Thank you, Mew. I promise I'll do everything I can to be the best Pokemon trainer ever," he says, his voice filled with sincerity. "We're going to have some amazing adventures together, I just know it!"
He reaches into his bag and pulls out his trusty Pokedex, eager to check on Mew's data and moves. As he scans the small, unique Pokemon, the Pokedex springs to life with a soft beep.
"Mew, the Mythical Pokemon. This Pokemon is said to be a combination of all the Pokemon in the world."
"Wow, that's incredible! No wonder Mew is so special and unique," Ash says in awe, reading the Pokedex entry aloud. "And look at this moveset! Shadow Ball, Recover, Psychic, and even a hidden power. Mew is going to be a formidable addition to my team!"
"Her Speed and duribilty are off the charts as well and shes got either S or A rank proficiency in most elements."Ash finishes exitedly.
He looks up from the Pokedex, his eyes sparkling with excitement as he meets Mew's gaze."We're going to do great things together, Mew. I can feel it in my bones. We'll explore the world, battle other trainers, and maybe even uncover some of the secrets of the Pokemon world."
Mew floats closer, her eyes meeting Ash's with a depth of understanding that seems beyond her years.
She nods slowly, as if in agreement with his words, her expression a mix of trust and anticipation.
With a soft chirp, she settles down on Ash's shoulder, her small form fitting perfectly against him.
It's a gesture of companionship and support, a silent promise that she'll stand by her trainer's side as they embark on this journey together.
Ash grins broadly, his heart swelling with joy and determination as Mew settles on his shoulder.
He can feel the warmth of her small body against his skin, a tangible connection that speaks volumes about the bond they've already formed.
Mew's presence on his shoulder, combined with the trust in her eyes, fills him with a renewed sense of purpose. He gently pats her head with his free hand, marveling at how soft her fur is under his fingers.
The Pokedex entry about Mew being a combination of all Pokemon in the world plays in his mind, and he feels a profound sense of responsibility for this incredible creature.
He knows that with Mew by his side, anything is possible in his journey to become the very best Pokemon trainer in the world.
He makes a mental note to do some research on Mew's abilities and learn more about its unique nature.
Ash activates his Pokedex once more, eager to learn more about Mew's abilities. He speaks clearly and confidently into the device, his curiosity evident in his words. "Pokedex, what are Mew's known moves?"
The Pokedex springs to life with a soft beep, its screen displaying the information you've requested"Mew is rumored to be capable of using the following moves: Shadow Ball, Recover, Psychic, and hidden power as well as numerous psychic techniques. However, it is believed that Mew can potentially learn any move in existence, due to its unique genetic composition."
Suddenly, a squeaky, telepathic voice fills both Ash's and Cynthia's minds, taking them both by surprise.
Mew floats between them, her large blue eyes seeming to glow with an otherworldly light as she communicates directly with her mind.
Her message is clear and unmistakable, even without audible words "I can learn almost any move by observing it used once. No limits, no restrictions. I am the progenitor of all Pokemon, after all."the words carry a smugness or pridefulness .
Cynthia, taken aback, exclaims "Mew can learn any move it sees used once? That's incredible!" She turns to Ash, her face awash in awe. "Ash, do you realize what this means?"
They both exchange a glance, your minds reeling from the revelation. The implications of Mew's ability to learn any move by observation are staggering, potentially game-changing for Ash's journey as a Pokemon trainer.
The small, pink Pokemon seems to be enjoying the moment, perhaps sensing the impact her ability has on them both.
Ash feels a surge of excitement and responsibility as he considers the possibilities that this unique ability presents. Mew floats between Ash and Cynthia, her gaze shifting between the two with an almost playful expression, as if gauging their reactions to this newfound knowledge.
As Ash considers the implications of Mew's abilities, a heavy sigh escapes his lips. He understands the magnitude of having a Pokemon that can potentially learn any move it sees, but Ash also recognizes the danger of relying too heavily on this advantage.
He turns to Cynthia, his (hopefully)mentor and friend, as he makes this difficult decision.
"Cynthia, I've made up my mind. I won't use Mew for my first six badges. I need to focus on growing as a trainer and working with my other Pokemon first. Mew's abilities are just too powerful , I don't want to become over-reliant on her."he states to Cynthia.
Cynthia nods approvingly, a smile spreading across her face. She explains"Ash, I'm impressed. That's a wise decision. Your journey as a trainer is about growth and development - using Mew would short-circuit that process. It's not an easy choice, but it shows real maturity and dedication to your goals."
She moves closer, her voice dropping to a softer volume. "But remember, Mew is still an incredible asset. Don't hesitate to use her when the time is right - just be mindful of how you do so."
She turns to Ash, a playful smile on her face.
"So, Mr. Pokemon Master in training, which Kanto gym leader are you planning to challenge first?"
Ash explains that he wants to go to Pewter city because its closest and one of the easier gyms in Kanto.
She moves closer, speaking more quietly. "I've heard that Brock, the Pewter City gym leader, is known for his rock-type Pokemon. They're tough opponents, but with proper preparation, you can overcome them."
Cynthia nods thoughtfully, considering his strategy. "That's a solid choice, Ash. Pewter City's gym is certainly the closest and most logical step;rember though even weaker gym leaders are still a challenge".
Her face lights up with an idea. "You know, if you're open to it, I could train with you for a bit before you head to Pewter City. I've faced some strong rock-type Pokemon in Sinnoh, so I might be able to offer some valuable insights."
Ash can't believe his luck at having a strong and beautiful trainer like Cynthia offer to help him and he hastily agrees.
Cynthia grins, pleased by Ash's enthusiastic agreement. "Wonderful! I'm always eager to help a fellow trainer hone their skills."
She glances around the empty Pokemon Center lobby, then back at the raven haired boy with a mischievous twinkle in her eye. "Tell you what - why don't we step outside and find a nice, open area to do some battling? We can really test your team's mettle and figure out the best strategies for taking on Brock."
Cynthia leads the way out of the Pokemon Center, with Ash and Pikachu following close behind.
She strides confidently through the streets of Viridian City, eventually leading them to a spacious park just on the outskirts of town.
Cynthia turns to face the rookie trainer, a determined expression on her face. "Ash, I know you're eager to get started, but before we begin, I want to establish some ground rules for our training session." She states as she holds up her hand, ticking off points on her fingers.
"First, this is purely for educational purposes. No one's pride is on the line here, got it?" She pauses, her face set in a firm mask.
"Second, I'll be using my strongest Pokemon. I want to push you to your limits, so don't hold back." Her face softens slightly as she continues. "And third, if at any point you feel overwhelmed or need a break, just say the word."
"And also no using Mew Joy says shes needs A day or two of rest." she quickly adds in a whisper.
Ash quickly nods to the conditions and goes to one end of the clearance while Cynthia goes to the other.
"Ok Ash are you ready to see my ace Pokemon?"she taunts before sending out a Garchomp.
Ash gulps noticing how powerful the Cobalt colored dragon is just by looking at it.
Cynthia watches in amusement as Ash sends out his gold Magikarp, its scales shimmering in the sunlight. "Well, this should be interesting, you know its not guaranteed to be stronger just because it's a shiny version? " she asks Ash.
She turns to Garchomp, speaking in a clear and commanding voice. "Garchomp, I want you to demonstrate Earthquake. But do it gradually - let's see how long our little goldfish can stay conscious."
She winks at Ash"Don't worry, Ash. This is just a training exercise. I won't let my Pokemon actually hurt yours."
Garchomp unleashes a controlled Earthquake, the ground shaking slightly beneath their feet.
Ash just smirks and orders Magikarp to bounce up high and to use its secret move.
Magikarp follows Ash's order and at the zenith of its jump it unleashes a firey draconian breath from its maw.
The attack lands on Garchomp making it stop its Earthquake attack.
Cynthia raises an eyebrow, impressed by Magikarp's unexpected Dragon Breath attack. "Well, well.. Looks like you've got a special Magikarp there, Ash. Dragon Breath is quite the unusual move for a Magikarp to learn."
She turns back to Garchomp, issuing a new command. "Garchomp, let's try something different this time. I want you to use your Dragon Claw attack, but hold back your usual power. Let's see how Magikarp fares against a more controlled strike."
Garchomp launches a moderately powered Dragon Claw at Magikarp, the golden scales absorbing the hit with surprising resilience but still getting sent towards the ground hard and suffering some damage.
Ash recalls Magikarp seeing that it wouldn't be able to take another hit and sends out Pikachu.
Cynthia watches with interest as you recall Magikarp and send out Pikachu instead. "Ah, the classic Electric-type! A interesting choice against a Dragon-type like Garchomp."
She then turns back to her Pokemon. "Garchomp, let's see how you handle a Thunderbolt. Don't overdo it though remember, we're training here, not fighting to the death."
Garchomp braces itself as Pikachu launches a powerful Thunderbolt.
The electric energy crackles around the mighty dragon Pokemon, but it manages to weather the attack without too much difficulty.
Excellent, Pikachu!" Cynthia praises, watching the battle unfold with keen eyes. Cynthia nods approvingly at Pikachu's Thunderbolt.
"Not bad at all, Ash. Your Pikachu has some real power behind that Thunderbolt."
She turns to Garchomp, issuing a new command. "Garchomp, I want you to retaliate with a Dragon Pulse. Again, hold back your full strength. Let's see how Pikachu handles the attack."
Garchomp unleashes a concentrated beam of dragon energy, the pulse of power striking Pikachu solidly.
Cynthia is surprised when Pikachu recovers from the Dragon Pulse attack and charges forward with Quick Attack, closing the distance between itself and Garchomp in a flash. The speedy little Electric-type manages to score a solid hit before leaping back and unleashing an Iron Tail, the metallic appendage glowing with power as it crashes into Garchomp's side.
Garchomp, though it clearly felt the double-pronged assault, managed to weather it without much damage.
"Ooh, nice combo!" Cynthia exclaims, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "The speed and power of Quick Attack followed by the sheer force of Iron Tail. That's some impressive teamwork, Ash!"
Cynthia nods with a satisfied smile as she recalls Garchomp.
"I've seen enough, Ash. That was a great battle." She says as she walks over and pats him on the shoulder. "You've got real potential. Using your Pokemon's strengths so effectively that's what it takes to be a great trainer."
She then glances at Pikachu, who's panting slightly from the exertion.
"And your Pikachu held its own against a Pokemon many trainers would be terrified to face. You should be proud."she says while rubbing Pikachu's chin.
She pauses, her face growing more serious. "Just remember, Ash, training like this isn't just about winning battles." Ash looks at Cynthia taking her words to heart.
"Wow Cynthia, that was an incredible fight! Your Garchomp is so powerful! I'm amazed Pikachu was able to hold its own against such a formidable opponent."Ash says proudly as he pets Pikachu affectionately. "You did great buddy! I'm so proud of you!" Pikachu gives a tired, but proud squeak in response.
Ash turns back to Cynthia, a determined glint in his eyes. "Cynthia, I really appreciate your training and guidance. You're right, it's not just about winning battles, it's about becoming a better trainer and partner to my Pokemon."Ash proclaims with a giant smile on his face.
After Ash finishes staying that he notices Cynthia is starring at him as if she's judging him.
Ash Ketchum blushes slightly under Cynthia's intense gaze, not used to such attention from a beautiful girl. It leaves him feeling a mixture of embarrassed and a bit nervousness.
After a minute, Cynthia finally speaks, her voice soft but firm. "Ash, I've been watching you closely during our training session, and I must say, I'm impressed with your skills and dedication as a newbie trainer."
After a minute, Cynthia finally speaks, her voice soft but firm. "Ash, I've been watching you closely during our training session, and I must say, I'm impressed with your skills and dedication as a newbie trainer."
"I've seen many trainers in my time, but there's something special about you. The way you work with your Pokemon, the passion and care you put into your battles - it's truly admirable."
She pauses, her gaze still locked with Ash's. "I know we've only just met, but I feel like we could learn a lot from each other."
Ash agrees completely and states"Wow Cynthia, that's so kind of you to say! I'm really honored that you think so highly of my potential. I definitely feel like we could learn a lot from each other too!"
Cynthia smiles warmly, her eyes still holding a hint of that intense scrutiny. "I'm glad you feel that way, Ash. I was actually wondering..." She pauses, seeming to choose her next words carefully. "Would you mind if we traveled together for a while? I know the Indigo League is your ultimate goal, but there's so much we could experience and learn along the way."
Ash can't believe his luck.
Ash agrees eagerly, hardly believing this incredible opportunity. To have a chance to train with Cynthia, a trainer from the distant Sinnoh region with such obvious skill and experience - it's like a dream come true!
"Of course I wouldn't mind at all, Cynthia! I'd be honored to travel with you and learn from your expertise. There's so much I still have to learn, and I know being with you would be the perfect opportunity to grow as a trainer."he says excitedly.
He grins widely, his enthusiasm barely contained. "I can't wait to see what adventures we'll have and what new strategies and techniques I'll pick up from you!"
Ash looks at Cynthia with a smirk and boasts " And when I become a champion I'll save a spot on my elite four just for you"
Cynthia's eyebrows raise slightly at his bold statement, amusement and surprise crossing her face.
"Oh, I see. You're already planning for the future, aren't you?" She chuckles softly, shaking her head. "I like your confidence, Ash. It's admirable. But the path to becoming a Pokemon Champion is a long and challenging one."
Her face softens, and she places a hand on Ash's arm, looking his chocolate eyes with an earnest gaze. "I believe in you, though. If anyone can achieve that goal, it's you."
She pauses, a mischievous glint in her eye. "And if you do become Champion, well, I might just have to take you up on that offer."

AN: THANKS FOR ALL THE REVIEWS AND FOLLOWS/FAVORITES ALREADY ON THIS STORY!!:)
So a few notes on this story Ash is 13 and1/2 because the starting age is 13 not 10. The beginner trainer day is only once every few months and and that means Gary got a headstart being a few months older.
So we won't see Ash's rival for a bit but when we do he'll still be that smug a-hole from the 1st season we all love to hate ;)
This age difference means this story is technically a few years in the future of the anime continuity .
So some events already happened (Ss Anne attack for example) and some haven't ( Charizard vs fossils) but will probably be different.
And alot of Ash's travel companions/friends from the show are at different parts of their life -Brock andMisty being the 2 big examples.
Romance won't be a big part for awhile...and while Ash definitely has a crush on Cynthia...she doesn't return his feelings just yet and even from Ash's side it's not that serious.
She just turned 16 btw so shes 2.5 years older than Ash .
Ash's New Pokemon =
Pikachu(M) S rank eletric power/C rank steel power/ SRank speed /A Rank Durabilty/C rank Physical strength.
Mahikarp(Gold shiny)(M)/ A rank dragonic attacks /A rank water/ B rank eletric/ C rank fire.
A rank speed/A Rank physical strength/C rank durabilty.
Mew(F)/Srank Psychic/ A or B rank everything else besides dark ghost/ C rank GhostDarkness.
Just a few notes about the rankings
1.Dont take it too seriously
2.Just bc a pokemon has Rank in an element doesn't mean it knows any moves from it.
3.The ranks aren't power levels they are more like potential. So some are at max or close(Mew) while most wont be until heavy training.
Enix out and once again thanks for the reviews and fav/ follows.:)Go Aincrad Knights!
