"Sup, Spidy!"

"Back with a clear mind!"

With the kick of his legs, Peter launched himself high into the air at the peak of his swing. He went into the flow of an air current and opened the wings on his suit, speeding through the air like a bullet as he turned his trajectory towards Brooklyn Visions.

"Three hours," Peter said, "Yeah, that's enough time. If Miles was wrong, easy peasy."

Seeing the familiar building of the school appear, he zipped to a nearby rooftop with his webs and perched on its ledge.

Peter sighed and shook his head, "...If only I'd opened up sooner." He then pressed his temple with a finger, "Okay... Time to see if the suggestions I gave to Miles and Ganke worked out the kinks."

Soon, Peter's world was flooded with shades of grey and soon pieces of the scenery faded into red.

"Huh. If only I had this when I started out, would have made things waaay more easier."

There were four sites in total that were highlighted in red.

He started with the first site -

And startled an old woman hanging up clothes to dry. A child that was beside her ran through the door that led into the apartment building.

"Oh! Sorry, ma'am!" Peter said, "Me and the other Spiderman are testing out new tech that'll help us find the Imposter that's been on the news recently."

"Huh." The old woman scoffed, evidently not happy either way.

"Uh, sorry again!" Peter then swung away, then perched himself on another rooftop, "Still some kinks left. Noted."

The second site held nothing of importance.

The third site, however, he found more of that organic webbing he had found previously, snagged on a support beam under that old train bridge. Curious, despite already knowing, wanting a second gander, Peter took a few strands and tried to pull them apart. He grunted, pulling and pulling until it finally broke.

"Weird how something organic like this can be as tough as my webs. Then again, we don't have man-sized spiders to relate to... Well..." Peter shook his head, "Anyway, back to investigating."

On the fourth site, there was more evidence of the organic webbing, seemingly shredded pieces of it seemingly made in the appearance of sleeves or leggings. Arranging them into place with a few other pieces he had found, it turned out they resembled a suit made out of webs.

He tapped his temple to make a photo of this when he heard the rattling of chains.

He looked over,

And saw a familiar purple suit,

"Yuri?"

"Of course, I would run into you, Spiderman." Yuri Watanabe removed her mask, and took a deep breath, "Then again, its no surprise."

"You're investigating this, too? What about Cletus?"

Yuri shook her head, "Surprisingly elusive. Trail's not cold, but not exactly warm either. He must have government workers in his cult - its the only explanation as to why traces of their activity is hard to find after what they did in Brooklyn. A man like him wouldn't be that hard to find, otherwise. In fact, what I've found so far suggests that he left New York shortly after. Seemed he had an inkling that something would go wrong if he stayed."

Yuri pulled a folder from her jacket, holding it up for emphasis, "My contacts found this. Turns out, this Imposter is tied to Oscorp."

Peter took it, "What isn't at this point?" Yuri rolled her eyes as Peter opened the file, "Lots'a paper work."

"For a good reason - I'll give you the run down. A lot of it is redacted beyond recovery, something not even my contacts or myself can do anything about. But it seems to imply that before Martin Li there was a Patient Zero for Devil's Breath. Someone worse off than something as simple as cancer in comparison."

In the file was a mug shot photo of a asian woman around her thirties dressed in a lab coat, seemingly for an ID,

And another photo of presumably the same woman -

With what seemed to be tumorous swelling, veins peering under the skin of the swelled flesh, a multitude of eyes around her head, her hair nearly gone and what appeared to be mandibles peeking out of her mouth. From her back, there seemed to be bone protruding to seemingly form a limb of some kind.

"God..."

"Conveniently, the details of what happened to her are also redacted, no photos of the results are there but, evidently, Devil's Breath was success. To what degree is a mystery, but if the other photos inside are a clue - it was a miraculous recovery."

Peter shuffled through the papers and found what appeared to be photos from a security camera, dated as recently as a week ago. It was blurry, but the figure appeared to be of a woman with a white body and flowing black hair swinging through the air just like himself. He looked at the web pieces that he had assembled on the ground.

Following his gaze, Yuri saw the pieces as well and cocked her head.

Peter looked back at the photo, "So... What we've found so far is right."

"You and the other spiderman?"

"Some prints - this woman doesn't exist."

"Guess who has enough power to do something like that, unofficially at least. Going back ten years, they've picked up a lot of friends in private."

"Wait... This other photo was taken a few days ago."

"Talks within Oscorp are speculating whether or not, what they call Black Widow -"

"Like...?" Peter drawled, looking over at Yuri.

"Stay with me. They are questioning whether or not Black Widow can shapeshift to a smaller size, at least." She said pointing to another photo below the first.

This photo showed a similar figure - white body, black hair, but they were smaller and the hair not as long. She was perched on a ledge as opposed to swinging like the instance on the first photo.

"If all of this is true, that would explain how the cocoons disappear so quickly." He flipped to the next page and found mugshots of men and women, "These are... her victims..."

"And they all have a history of domestic abuse, particularly towards children. And the list is getting bigger. Some of the victims have kids. They're missing."

"What? Then you're saying this Black Widow is taking them somewhere?"

"Looks like it."

"Any idea where she's keeping them?"

Yuri shrugged, "Don't even know if she's killed them."

Peter nodded, "But, with this," He looked over at the discarded pieces of Black Widow's web suit, "Why did she get rid of these?"

"Her powers?" Yuri suggested, "Maybe even her biology since her webs are organic?"

Peter hummed in thought, "Not enough to go on. Do you know if they are looking for her? How did she get out?"

"She looks to be a secret they want to keep buried, for whatever reason. Her escape points to the invasion a month ago. You and the other Spider man were too busy, but there were reports of a woman swinging through the air like you two. Conveniently, those reports disappeared."

Peter skimmed through to find any more significance into what he could read before handing back the file, "Thanks, Yuri. Call me if you come up with anything else. Got a feeling there's more to this, hopeful nothing too big."

"Certainly hope not," Yuri said, "Especially from what I've heard when those things invaded."

Peter sighed, "...It complicated. Did this by myself for a long time, got to a point where... Well, similar to you... I snapped and, uh... nearly broke myself... and those close to me. But thanks to the other Spider man, I was able to pick myself up. Just hope things go similar with you."

Yuri stared for a moment, gave a nod of acknowledgement before swinging off with her weapon.

Peter pulled his phone to text Miles -

Good thing you had me come out here.
Found clues of our Imposter.

A moment later -

Great.
School ends in an hour.
I'll see if Cindy needs anything before meeting with you.

Its a lot.
I'll swing around the city to see if anything needs doing in the meantime.

Peter put his phone away and swung off to do his patrol as Spider man. Not knowing that far away, he was being watched by a figure with flowing black hair. Perched on top of a sky scraper, the figure looked over to where she could see Yuri.

With wind at this altitude, the figure's hair flowed like a black river, making shadows on their face.
