Chapter 16

Thoughts From Fred

Disclaimer: Thought it'd be interesting to do a chapter based on Fred's thoughts.

You know, while I stil occasionaly have doubts about living with the Joes, I'm stil pretty grateful for the fact I have a roof over my head and everything that entails. There's no telling how things would be for me or even the others right now if we had never come to the Joes and get adopted.

Something that one Fred 'Blockade' Dukes tries not to think too much about as he stared at his journal entry and every once in awhile he had nightmares about the whole thing. He knew that the others had that sort of nightmare too but it wasn't something that was talked about all that much unless they were in therapy sessions and needed to talk about it. Pulling out a Pork Rind, he chewed on it thoughtfully. Its kinda funny seeing Lance and Betsy when they're around one another but I think she's miles better forh im then Pryde ever was. Now Agent Walker I'm still not sure about and its been a few weeks since her and Betsy showed up!

As the CIA girl was pretty reluctant to be all that involved with them and Fred wondered just how bad her last assignment had been for her to be that way. Heck, even Abeytu's better adjusted than she is but we'll just have to keep doing our best to help Agent Walker adjust to life around here. Even thoug hshe could probably do without Pietro's flirting.

Fred had to roll his eyes at the Speedster's attempts at flirting with the somewhat cold and aloof Spy, flirting that he didn't do much of with Betsy for that matter. But as Pietro would explain, its mostly because he didn't want to jinx whatever was going on between her and Lance! Something Lance had tried to deny while Betsy herself just smirked in amusement and added fuel to the fire. And ya know somethin'? I'm glad the whole enforced separation betwene us and the X-Geeks is still a thing. Its really lettin' us focus on more important stuff and I can honestly say I don't miss any of them. Not with how they tend to treat us a lot of the time even though we aren't even reallydoing anything but showing up! And I can't help it if I get hungry so quickly! I'm a big boy!

But hey, its whatever! Well, I'm gonna head out for some more Pork Rinds, Journal, so I'll see ya later!
