A Little While Later
As the convoy made its way through Montana, the crew were none the wiser about the fact that back in North Dakota, a Dupe of Jamie had been around to record the nutty situation with the Mimes, Unicyclists, and the Coyote for a future edition of the Prime Jamie's Multiple News Network back in Bayville. Unfortunately, the next bout of trouble would rear its head when Roadblock ordered the convoy to a stop at a gas station in Billings, Montana and most of the crew decided to go and explore much to his dismay. And while Dr. Epper was a bit perturbed by this, she was somewhat amused by Roadblock's reaction to the whole thing. "Ugh, Spirit, Shipwreck, and Firestar are probably back at the Pit by now." Grumbled the big man unhappily.
Not even trying to rhyme at that point thanks to how unhappy he was! "Its fortunate that those waiting for us in Eureka are quite adaptable to changes in scheduling." Consoled the woman.
"I guess that's somethin' at least." Sighed the big man and would give everyone quite the lecture once they got back!
Sometime Later Outside Dubois, Idaho
"Hah! Oh, this is fun to annoy you fools!" Declared Legion as he harassed the convoy and the Hellions.
Mostly because he had gotten bored not doing anything back at Magneto's base and had decided to follow the Hellions around. Whom were intending to steal the device the convoy was taking to Eureka, Oregon. "Oops, missed me, little Spyky!" Taunted the son of Xavier after moving out of the way of one of Spyke's attempts to hit him.
And if the situation wasn't like it was, Sarah would've been willing to shoot Spyke to return the favor for spiking her when she got in the way of an attack of his awhile back. Making her feel thankful for Lifeline's healing abilities all over again. Fate however, would be on the side of everyone that isn't Legion thanks to Magneto calling him and angrily demanding his return to the base. "Darn the luck, guess I'll see you all next time!" Grumbled Legion unhappily.
It was decided afterwards that the Hellions would retreat since they weren't looking to continue fighting after dealing with Legion's tiresome self much to the relief of Roadblock and the others. "Next time though, we won't be so willing to leave things be." Warned Spyke before he and the others left.
"I wouldn't be surprised if it was otherwise." Sighed Roadblock with several others agreeing with him.
And once everyone was checked out and their vehicles were still in good shape, the convoy got on its way again with everyone hoping nothing else would happen so they could hurry up and get to their destination already! "Ten bucks says Cobra decides to attack next. Over." Threw out Todd on the CB Radio.
"TODDLES!" Groaned Althea as her boyfriend more than likely had just jinxed them!
"I'm putting you on KP Duty for that alone to atone for jinxing us once we're back at home! Over." Roadblock told his adopted son unhappily, who laughed nervously as he rubbed the back of his head.
"Oops? Our luck can't be that bad, yo."
Althea sighed. "Baby, don't tempt fate."
Cover Girl and Snake Eyes would nod in agreement while also scowling at the sheepish Todd.
Author's Notes: Heh, that was fun and notes same as before. As for the thing with Jamie, I thought it would be fun if something like that was happening since I recall during 'Pick Up The Pieces' that Jamie told Scott he had been sending out his Dupes to other towns to learn things and figured it would make sense for one of them to be out that far despite his age.
