Chapter 50
Tim Boo Ba!
Disclaimer: I recently learned of Tim Boo Ba thanks to a Youtube video that discussed the Microverse and got the fun and bright idea to do something with him for this story. And since I haven't really done anything with X-Factor aside from a mention here and there, I thought it would be a good time to do something with them and ol' Tim. Though originally I was gonna have the X-Men deal with the big galoot. Now, let's get it on!
In Washington D.C.
In the basement of a one bedroom house was a man in a lab coat working on a strange looking device that could be mistaken for a mini-satellite. And tonight, the man was nearing completion of months of work that would see to ensuring heavy objects being much easier to move about. "And that should do it!" Rejoiced the man once the final bit of work was completed.
"Now to test my device on this couch whilst recording it for proof of its authenticity!"
Pressing a switch allowed for a hum like sound to be heard and with an eager grin, the Scientist activated the device and a beam headed straight for the couch. But it only made it halfway much to the surprise of the Scientist and he frowned as it seemed like the beam was focusing on something. Which shouldn't have been possible due to keeping his basement as much of a sterile environment as possible! But then, to his further shock and amazement, something seemed to begin to grow and it looked like a figure. But to his horror, it didn't look anything like a Human as it had red scaly like skin, and three horns on its head with one on either side. And it was becoming rapidly clear that it was continuing to grow, forcing the Scientist to haul ass as the creature's growing size began to destroy his home! "TIM BOO BA!" Roared out the creature and it wasn't long before it was terrorizing the neighborhood at its incredible height of 10 feet!
Elsewhere in D.C. A Short Time Later
The Mutant known as Medic and member of the Government ran team known as X-Factor sighed happily as he made his way through X-Factor Headquarters after a night out on the town with two rather lovely ladies. "The perks of this life never get old." He happily said to himself and was about to head off for his room when he took note of Karma, the team leader, rushing towards him.
"We've got a mission, let's move!"
"What!? But I just got back from a night out on the town!" Protested the Mutant Healer.
Earning himself a glare that made any other protest on his mind bite the big one, prompting him to sigh unhappily. "I'll get into my uniform."
"Make it quick and meet us at the van!"
Reluctantly, Medic did so and minutes later, he and the rest of X-Factor were in their primary means of transportation they often used in the city. Though Quicksilver wasn't with them as he had gone on ahead to find out what exactly was going on. "As you can see, X-Factor, this strange creature has been going on a rampage since its mysterious appearance and for the most part, is not understandable." Spoke Valerie Cooper through the Comm system while making use of the footage through the live camera feed that each member of X-Factor carried with them for various reasons.
"Finally, somethin' worth fightin'! Crowed Guido 'Strong Guy' Carosella happily.
And like the others, was clad in a yellow and dark blue uniform with an 'X' on the upper left area of his chest. "Uhh… Perhaps we should call in someone else like the Avengers, the X-Men, or the Misfits? This isn't exactly something we're equipped to handle." Gulped Telek, the team Telekinetic, nervously as he and the others watched the feed and hearing/seeing Quicksilver try to keep the tall creature's attention on him instead of everything else!
"Our Mission Statement is to handle any threat, Telek, you know this." Warned Karma as she sped through the streets to get to the neighborhood the attack was happening.
"We have been fortunate to have gained victory before and perhaps with some kindness, we can help this creature be peaceful." Added in Willow of the Eloi.
Earning an eyeroll from Telek and a muttered 'Hippie' from the man that the young woman ignored. "According to our files, the Fantastic 4 has encountered this creature before in what is known as the 'Microverse', Tim Boo Ba is its name and is a tyrannical ruler of the world it comes from." Informed Director Cooper.
"And I'm guessing crossing over to our world somehow made its name the only thing anyone can understand?" Karma asked.
"Unknown at this time but I am reaching out to the Fantastic 4 to find out for certain."
"Roger that, Director, we're two minutes away thanks to our escort."
Once finally on the scene, Karma ordered her team to various tasks while Quicksilver brought over a certain individual to her. "So Keith here is responsible for bringing the big guy into our world." Announced the Speedster cheerfully.
"It was an accident!" Retorted the Scientist heatedly as Karma stared at him for a moment with raised eyebrows.
"And how was it an accident, Mr…?"
"I am Dr. Keith Cloudman and I was testing my newly built Shrink Device when somehow it brought that thing into my basement! Just like a Mutant to ruin honest Scientific work!"
"Its actually a being from another world that the Fantastic 4 has run into before." Karma pointed out to him.
Dr. Cloudman stared at her for a minute as he processed that information while Telek shouted that his Telekinesis couldn't even budge Tim Boo Ba. "And it appears talking to him is doing nothing so I am communicating with the Plant life in the area to help me in restraining him!" Added in Willow from nearby.
"I hope its quick 'cause I can't handle this for too long!" Shouted Strong Guy from underneath Tim Boo Ba's foot that he was desperately trying to keep from lowering all the way to the ground.
Especially as he was under it and man did it smell! "Allow me to try my own talents but first… Quicksilver, take Dr. Cloudman and see if anything of his device still remains and see what can be done to fix it so that we can use it against our friend here." Declared Karma.
"Right, come on, Doc! Need ya to show me the way!"
Unfortunately for Karma however, her Telepathic attempt to reach Tim Boo Ba's mind and as well as her attempts at Possession were failures and resulted in a rather unpleasant headache for the woman. "Whoa!" Came Guido's yell as thanks to Willow using her connection to Plant life, was able to snatch him out from under Tim Boo Ba's foot.
"TIM BOO BA!" Roared out the creature as its foot hitting the ground caused a minor rumble in the area to happen.
Roots then began to wrap around the big fella much to its annoyance courtesy of Willow as Medic checked on Guido. "You think that'll hold him!?" Wondered Telek since he hadn't been able to do anything!
"One can only hope!" She told him.
Unfortunately, this attempt wouldn't work either as Tim Boo Ba managed to break free of Willow's Root Capture. "Scatter!" Yelled Karma as a fist came down with full intent to smash them.
Leaving a rather large hole in the process in the ground! "The X-Men and the Misfits make this stuff look so easy when its not!" grumbled Medic as he sat up.
"Well, some got it and some don't!" Declared Pietro as he and Dr. Cloudman returned with the Scientist's device with them.
"Luckily my device wasn't too badly damaged by the arrival of our guest and I believe after a modification of mine, we should be able to return him to his world!"
"It 'should'!? I don't like the sound of that!" Guido said and he wasn't the only one!
Dr. Cloudman scowled at the team before shrugging helplessly. "I will take full responsibility if this goes sideways, now activate your device!" Ordered Karma and reluctantly, the man did so.
Seconds later saw Tim Boo Ba roaring in a furious manner as he shrunk down and eventually disappeared altogether in a burst of flames. Unfortunately, this sat a nearby tree and a lawn on fire but it was a small price to pay to save the day much to the relief of the team and Dr. Cloudman. The team would get quite the praise for their efforts and Dr. Cloudman would receive an invite to the Baxter Building in New York and as well as the Genius Haven of Eureka to further fine tune his device and to ensure he wouldn't accidentally bring another threat like Tim Boo Ba into the world. Of course, he also would have to do community service for a time as a means to pay back the city for his unintentional part in causing a lot of damage and some death.
Elsewhere In The World
"Ohh, this is perfect! Didn't I tell ya this would be a great idea, 'Ro?" Moaned a Japanese woman with short colorful hair.
"You most certainly did! This is Heaven!" Groaned Ororo 'Storm' Munroe in pleasure as the Masseuse worked on her back as the same happened with the woman she'd met some time ago by the name of Yukio after leaving the Institute.
Yukio had also been instrumental in helping Ororo become a bit more relaxed and care free. Something the former X-Man hadn't really felt in perhaps ever for one reason or another. And though while part of her would always worry about those back at the Institute, Ororo was confident they could handle themselves. She let out another groan of pleasure from the hands working on her back. This is Heaven indeed!
