Chapter 59

The Ice

That Broke!

Disclaimer: Let's go! This ignores the Phalanx events. And oops, somehow I ended up posting the 55th chapter again, my bad, folks!

4 Months Later

"Lilandra! Gabrielle! Stop fighting each other! Gladiator, you and yours do not take another step!" Yelled out Professor Xavier as pandemonium practically ran wild in the front yard of the destroyed Xavier Institute.

Now you might be wondering what exactly is going on and well, 4 months after the big party in Bayville, quite a few things had happened since then. Resentment towards Mutants in Bayville had risen to an all time high, prompting an outright ban on any Mutant within the town limits with an order for any to be arrested immediately if sighted, prompting a number of those not living at the Institute to leave the town for their own safety if they were able too. Though some would outright shoot any Mutants they came across since the Mayor was letting it happen and a number of those Mutants wouldn't be all that happy with the Misfits since they felt it was their fault instead of the X-Men for once. Certain members of Law Enforcement who actually didn't have any issues with Mutants like Detective Abrams, would end up either resigning in disgust or sticking around and helping out where they could where Mutants and Mutant Friendly individuals were concerned despite the risk it meant to their jobs. Rock Music would also end up banned in the town and the former Senator Kelly's home there would be burned to the ground. Leaving the man more pissed off than what he was before and even more of a raving drunkard while being very close to becoming outright homeless where his home in Washington was concerned.

Xavier, not feeling too happy where the Misfits and GI Joe were concerned himself, had instituted an outright ban on them coming to the Institute to the point he had Forge set up his anti-teleport device again just so they couldn't show up through their usual means. To the point that if Eden used his powers with intention to go there or the Mass Device was used, they'd end up somewhere else in the Country. This would prove to be a smart thing after Pyro was cast out of the Acolytes and joined up with the Misfits. Though a silver lining in that would be him deciding to join the West Coast crew sometime later thanks to past connections with the She-Hulk and the Starchild when they'd been little kids. Thankfully, Kurt's ability to teleport wouldn't be affected thanks to Forge ensuring that wouldn't be an issue. Now the anti-teleport situation wasn't the Misfits' only issue as in the aftermath of the big party, they were having to be on their best behavior as much as possible while doing a lot of additional training and KP duty to satisfy the General Public and Hawk/GI Joe's superiors to save face.

Though they had found it all worth it and Hawk and the others weren't exactly all that upset with them as it is even if they did have to act like they were. Pietro and Willow had nearly been thrown off the X-Factor team thanks to their being at that party as it was felt to be bad PR but thankfully, they were able to stay on the team thanks to Hawk and Director Cooper going to bat for them. Of course, X-Factor was also having some trouble dealing with a Terrorist group known as the 'Hell's Belles' that kept cropping up every now and then and the Institute also had a problem with Kraven the Hunter when the man had decided it'd be a challenge to hunt them instead of Spider-Man. And while it had certainly been an exhilarating challenge, the stay in the hospital was most certainly no where near exhilarating for the man! Especially after being transported to a prison hospital and reportedly would get mocked by Spider-Man over the whole thing. And because Betty refused to essentially abandon everyone at the Institute, her father had ended up stationing some men and a couple of tanks there with Xavier's reluctant permission.

Since doing this would allow for a means of protection from those looking to cause problems. And for her own safety despite her dense skin due to the way things were going in town, Penny had been transferred over to Cleveland until things finally calmed down. Granted, the Jammers had been given a huge amount of warnings where the girl was concerned but it did little to prepare them for the chaos that child tended to cause! It'd also be thanks to Betsy that Selene's plan where Lance was concerned had come to an early end after Betsy finally got tired of certain dreams Lance was having and his unwillingness to say or do anything about them, had chosen to step in herself and end the dreams. Leading to a fairly unhappy Selene and Dr. Strange having to get involved to keep her from further messing with Lance, causing Selene to go from unhappy to outright enraged! Which would be something Strange himself would feel the main brunt of but managed to weather through it. The whole thing being something Kid Razor would reportedly be unhappy about due to missing out on a chance to be there to kick her ass!

Jean would also bring Emma out of her coma after Stevie Hunter had come to the Mansion for protection and thanks to Magneto bothering the New York Morlocks, the Misfits would gain some blackmail on Evan thanks to Pietro visiting at the time. Leading to Jean having a young 13 year old clone of herself named Madelyne and finding themselves attacked by an irate Sinister and his Marauders. Elaine had simply been beside herself after finding out about the young girl, albeit she and her Husband both had needed a little time to wrap their heads around it but soon were pretty accepting. Even giving the girl one of her patented Mom Hugs and practically insisted she come to Burbank with them despite only a small amount of training with her Telekinesis. Thankfully, cooler heads had prevailed but the promise had been made that once Madelyne had a good grasp on her Telekinesis, she would be joining the rest of the Grey Clan in Burbank. Dr. Grey and Craig reportedly were already planning ways to keep boys away from the girl much to the amusement of the Grey ladies.

And since Shima was still around and training not only the other kids at the Institute in addition to what she was doing with Jean, she was also now going to teach Madelyne as well. But then came some trouble that a few stationed men and a couple of tanks couldn't deal with. Namely, Nemesis Enforcer and Cobra La with the end results being a trashed Mansion, a somewhat trashed town, and a needed rescue mission to get back Jean from Cobra La. And when the rescue party got back, they were greeted by the surprising presence of not only X-Factor, but several of the Cleveland Jammers as well while the West Coast team was occupied with putting an end to a drug ring. Unfortunately, there was one other person there as well and that was Gabrielle Haller much to Xavier's dismay. "What do you mean you don't know where he is!? You can find anyone and don't deny it!" Shrieked the woman after she had ran straight towards him and asked if he'd found David yet and had been told no.

"Yes, ordinarily I can but when they have the means to avoid such measures, it becomes much more difficult. Especially if they happen to align themselves with someone like Magneto." Answered Xavier as calmly as he could and without trying to sound like he was explaining things to a child.

"DAVID'S WHAT!? HOW COULD YOU LET MY SON GET INVOLVED WITH THAT MAN!?"

"I didn't 'let' OUR son do anything, Gabrielle."

"Yeah, especially when he's got a couple of other personalities that tend to have more control!" Bobby threw in and Xavier pinched the bridge of his nose.

"WHAT!? CHARLES! WHAT DOES HE MEAN BY THAT!?"

But before Charles could even say anything, life would get in the way as a rather large ship would make itself known in the air above Bayville. "Oh crap." Muttered Danielle.

"By the way, your wife's finally made it here, Chucky. That's why Danielle and I showed up to begin with so we could tell you that." Rictor told the Professor, who was now rather pale while everyone else was shocked by the fact the Professor's married and never said a word!

Everyone watched as a figure in a small craft of some kind descended from the large ship at a fast pace and once the figure was near the ground, hopped off and rushed towards Xavier with a delighted smile on her face. "FATHER!"

"FATHER!?" Shouted everyone as the girl with the odd black hair hugged Xavier, who hugged back while also looking increasingly nervous.

Especially as another woman with a hairstyle similar to the young lady's made her arrival a second later with several others in attendance! "Charles, while it is good to see you again in person given our respective situations, I know you know who the new host of the Phoenix is! You've tried to hide it but the guilt I sense in our Bond betrays you whenever I ask!"

"And just who the Hell is this!? How do you have a daughter that looks to be David's age!?" Demanded to know an irate Gabrielle.

"I am Lilandra, Empress of the Shi'ar Empire, Wife to Charles, and you are?" Asked Lilandra coolly towards the irate Human as everyone else watched on with baited breath.

Though Fury could be heard muttering unhappy things to himself under his breath. "Does no one know of my existence here, Father?" Wondered the younger Alien woman with a hurt tone as she began to realize that particular fact given the way all these Earthers were acting.

"Xandra-"

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOUR HIS WIFE!? WHEN THE HELL DID THIS HAPPEN!? I'M GABRIELLE HALLER, HIS EX-WIFE!"

Lilandra raised her eyebrows at the other woman. "Oh, yes, I remember learning of you after Charles and I met some years ago." She replied in a tone that said she was not all that impressed by the woman.

And it was enough for Gabrielle to launch herself at the other woman. "Oh my." Blinked Xandra in shock!

Meanwhile, With Magneto

Thanks to the fact that a news crew or two was in the area and live broadcasting what was going on at the ruined Xavier Institute, a number of folks were watching it all go down. Among them being Magneto and his bunch. "Sir, Legion has left the building." Informed the Butler known as Winters.

Causing Magneto to sigh and shake his head. "Should we do something about that, Father?" Wondered Lorna curiously where her boyfriend was concerned.

For she had an idea of where he was heading thanks to this broadcast! "My child, there's only one thing we can do."

"Which is?"

"Sit back and watch." Was all he told her and then explained himself at the look she gave him!

"If you think I'm going to get in the middle of that Family Reunion from Hell, you've another thing coming, Lorna. Besides, Lilandra truly IS a step up from Gabrielle for a number of reasons."

Now Back With Xavier And Friends!

As the cat fight continued in front of them, Tabitha found herself noticing that Rahne somehow seemed distracted of all things while the Professor tried to calm things down to no avail with help from some of the adults! "Girl, you okay?"

"I… I don't know, I swear I can hear the incoherent scream of someone's rage meter being broken." Was all Rahne said and drawing in some confused and perplexed looks in the process!

With the cat fight going on, one of the Aliens who had come with Lilandra, a rather purple looking fellow at that in a red outfit and cape complete with a Mohawk, kept trying to step in to get the Human away from the Empress but was being stopped. "Look, getting in the way of two women fighting is never a good idea. Besides, 'Landra's doin' a fine job on her own, Gladiator!"

"But it is my duty to protect her, Corsair! And do be aware we know it was one of yours that kept us from getting to this planet sooner!"

Corsair, a rather Human looking individual, just shrugged at the big guy with a smile on his lips. "No idea what you mean, big guy. And sometimes, even duty needs to take a backseat when it comes to two women fighting."

Gladiator scowled at him but it did nothing to deter the other man. "Can someone get these news crews outta here!?" Yelled an irate Fury as he finally took notice of the news crews while wondering why he got out of bed that day!

Sure, Brand had told him some Aliens were on the way but he wasn't expecting it to get this damn nuts! But that was his own fault considering he damn well knew how things tended to get at the Xavier Institute! Naturally… This was when Life decided to happen again when loud, rageful screaming could be heard. Followed by someone or something crashing into the ground and killing several SHIELD Agents in the process. "FATHER!" Roared out Legion as he used Telekinesis to lift his somewhat broken body out of the mini-crater he caused!

"Oh Hell…" Moaned Xavier as this whole situation had just gotten worse!

"Are you tellin' me that I, well… David, has a Sister that we didn't know about!? I mean… Do you not know how to keep it in your pants and as well as be faithful!?"

Ironic… Coming from Legion of all people! "David? Is that you, sweetheart!?" Asked a shocked Gabrielle as she stopped focusing on Lilandra to come over to her son.

Only to be roughly shoved away from him. "NO! David is gone and I am here!"

"I… I have a brother?" Xandra asked in shock as she had always been an only child!

While Legion was busily ranting and raving towards his parents and Bobby helpfully explained to Xandra that he and an absent Scott too were technically her brothers thanks to adoption and since the Professor had also essentially adopted Tabitha, she too is a sibling to Xandra, something Legion also heard and grew even more irritated, Rictor snuck up behind the unhappy Mutant and tapped him on the shoulder. "WHAT!?"

Only to find himself on the ground after being slugged in the face. "You don't treat women like that, asshole!"

Needless to say, Gabrielle was none too happy about her baby boy being punched like that, especially when Rictor went to strike him again and stopped short of doing so when Legion turned into a woman! "What the Hell!?" Exclaimed the Cleveland Jammer and found himself being flung away after Legion returned to being himself.

And then transformed into someone else before going back to being Legion and all being caught on camera as he struggled to stay in control! "I, I don't have to worry about becoming as mad as him, do I?" Wondered Xandra towards Bobby in a hopeful manner.

"Nah, he's a unique case is all." Answered the Ice Maker as diplomatically as he could while Xavier was dealing with his wife.

"I know your concerns, Lilandra, but I will not be party to your attempt at wishing to exterminate the Phoenix's host and anyone they may be connected too. Even if they were not one of my own I would be resolute in this! The matter is being dealt with as someone is teaching her control and you are only self fulling a situation that need not be aggravated!"

Needless to say, Lilandra was none too happy where her Husband's words were concerned and neither were a few others! But more so because she wanted to wipe out Jean and her family! Life however would interfere again as the sounds of a car horn were heard. "Oh boy, Mayor Killjoy is here." Muttered Tabitha unhappily as Xavier sighed in resignation.

Somewhere In Hungary

"This is better than Daytime Soaps!" Declared a vastly amused Volkoff!

Now Back In Bayville

"XAVIER! YOU'VE OFFICIALLY BROKEN THE ICE!" Roared out Mayor Chandler as he and his marched their way through the large crowd and towards the man himself.

"Mr. Mayor, now is not the time-"

"OH ITS THE PERFECT TIME! BECAUSE THE ICE IS BROKEN AFTER YOU REPEATEDLY JUMPED ON IT WITH YOUR INSANITY! INSANITY I'VE REPEATEDLY ASKED YOU TO TONE DOWN BUT YOU JUST DON'T EVER DO IT! AND YOU! YOU'RE SOME KIND OF ALIEN RULER, RIGHT!?" Asked the man irately towards Lilandra.

Who blinked in confusion as she was not accustomed to being spoken too in such a manner! "Have a care to speak with respect towards the Empress!" Called out Gladiator as he stomped towards the man but Lilandra stopped him.

"I, yes, that is correct."

"Well then, I have an idea! You take all these Mutants outta here when you go back to your own planet!"

"Excuse me?" Blinked the woman as was this man mad!?

"You heard right! Take every single Mutant in this town with you and get them out of my hair! Matter of fact, I'm sure everyone would love it if you took every single Mutant on the planet! Give them their own planet if you have too, I don't care!"

With Magneto

"Have you ever considered such a thing yourself, Father? As you are obviously not that surprised by the fact the Professor is married to an Alien Queen." Wondered Lorna and she wasn't the only one to wonder this while also trying to deal with the fact that Legion is also Cyndi and Blackjack!

Magneto sighed. "I have considered it but that would potentially leave those of our Brothers and Sisters who've yet to come into their Gifts on their own."

"Oh, that makes sense."

"And the Power requirements to ensure otherwise are not yet able to be matched as far as we are aware." Winters added.

Back In Bayville!

"Sir, I am unsure if you are mentally sound or not but what you ask is highly unfair to your people." Lilandra told the obviously unwell man.

Not realizing he wouldn't necessarily appreciate her remarks about his mental faculties and Xavier would slug him after the man started to tear into her! "Did you just hit me, Xavier!?"

"I did, my Wife and I may be having a difference of opinion right now but I will not allow her to be spoken too in such a way!" Irately informed the founder of the X-Men as he grew sweatier and paler.

The two began to loudly argue as everyone else watched in stunned silence despite a small part of Pietro wanting to get Popcorn for the whole thing! The fight between Lilandra and Gabrielle also continued and because of the outright insanity going on, no one noticed Kitty getting the bright idea to check out Xandra's ride and try it out much to the alarm of a few! "Xavier, is that the Pryde girl in that thing!? SHE KNOWS DAMN WELL THE GOVERNOR HAS BANNED HER FROM OPERATING VEHICLES IN THE STATE OF NEW YORK!"

"Oh my…"

"I'm about to be out one personal craft, aren't I?" Wondered Xandra blinkingly and gained several positive answers in the process.

"Warlock won't be too pleased." Sighed the young lady, of course, neither was she!

Sure enough, two minutes later saw Kitty crashing the small space craft while being completely fine herself thanks to her powers. Prompting a highly aggravated Mayor to go off on her and starting even more insanity as loud arguments and tears broke out. "EVERYONE, CALM DOWN! WE CA-AUGH!" Cried out the sweaty and pale Professor as he clutched his chest and passed out.

"CHARLES!" Yelled out several individuals.

"Did me old man just have a heart attack!?"

"I think so." Answered a surprised Chandler.

"Then let's party!"

More fighting broke out and the Mayor would end up knocked out while Legion was forced to flee but the chaos of everything continued on as the Professor was seen too.
